Username and pssword in URL report parameters

Hi all,
I want to call a BI Publisher report via a URL bypassing the BI Publisher authentification page.
I created a user who has access only on this report (username : bip and password : bip)
Do you know how to specify the username and password in the URL report?
or do you know any other way to bypass the authentification ?
Thanks and regards.
Samy

Use the Guest folder

all users to see and run. Use this option if the report does not contain sensitive data."

  • Hiding Username and Password in Web Report URL

    Hi there,
    I am calling a report from my webforms using the WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT built-in. The problem is that when using this, when the report or the parameter form is being displayed on the browser, the username and password is also displayed on the browser's URL bar with other report parameters.
    Is there any way to surpress or hide the username and password? Please help as this raises some security issues.

    First off make sure your form
    logs on using an ON-LOGON trigger
    using the logon built in. Inside
    a form level ON-LOGON trigger put the
    following code (i.e.)
    logon('username','password@database');
    The password and database are concatenated together.
    Then you can call reports without
    puting the username and password in the
    URL. Here are two examples.
    web.show_document (i.e.)
    web.show_document('URL_HERE','_blank');
    or via a run_product (i.e)
    Run_Product(REPORTS,'admin_req_snapshot',SYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME, FILESYSTEM,plist,NULL);

  • Entering username and password in URL, 4400g, v5.2 ??

    Hi,
    I am trying to display contents of a website which requires me to login each time i exit the webpage.
    Is there a way to include the username and password in the url itself or is there a way to change the DMP web account to match the username and password which is needed for the website?
    I already tried using the format http://username:[email protected]

    Sorry, this type of functionality is not available on the DMP.
    A lot of the responsibility resides on the Hosting Site on how it
    accepts the authentication or Login credentials.  A web or app savy
    developer could probably develop a App (like for iPhone or iTouch)
    which could bring up a Virtual Keyboard which could be used with
    the DMP-4400G and a supported Touchscreen.  Then the user could
    add the credentials using the touch screen.
    Cheers!

  • Using url with username and password in URL class

    Hi,
    I'm writting an applet in which I use getAppletContext().showDocument with an URL.
    The problem is that I'm using URLs with username and password (http://user:[email protected]/page) and it isn't working because the browser is getting the URL http://user/page.
    Is this a bug in the URL class? Or in the showDocument method?
    Is there any way to make this work?
    Thanks for any help,
    Pedro Prospero Luis ([email protected])

    I'm not sure whether this is supported behaviour. I've had this syntax fail to work in the Netscape address bar so I can't recommend it as an approach for authentication.
    If you want to authenticate the user before redirecting to the page, though, you could try creating a connection to another page on the same server and sending the authorization information then. Your browser may then be successfully authenticated.
    See http://www.javaworld.com/javatips/jw-javatip47.html for information on this.
    You might not need to read back the page from the server, just connect to it. Might work.

  • Logging on ISA with username and password in URL

    Hi!
    We have a scenario where a customer have an internal portal and from this portal they access different suppliers webshop and get automatic access since the username and password is supplied in the URL.
    In our current Online Store solution we use a special log on page and the user gets logged in, but how is this possible in ISA?
    Regards
    rollo

    Hi!
    The correct answer should be YES, it is possible!
    It is not related to what Florian wrote, just simly add  the userid and password in the URL.
    Exemple
    https://mybigcompany.com/b2b/b2b/init.do?language=sv&userid=rollo&password=mytopsecretpassword
    The only negative issue is that the first log on will not work, the user get an errormessage and have to enter the log on data again.

  • Encrypt the username and Password in URL

    Hi
    My requirement is to encrypt the Password in the URL.
    http://Server_name/analytics/saw.dll?NQUser=Administrator&NQPassword=*Administrator*.
    Here My URL should look like this.
    http://Server_name/analytics/saw.dll?NQUser=Administrator&NQPassword=*encrypted password*.

    Hi in what situation you need this?, actually this is not a good practice to expose the user name and password over the URL. Better to force the user to login and then continue.
    If the user already logged in and while clicking you need to do a navigation then no need of passing username or password.

  • Connectivity Problem with WPF Viewer and Oracle based imbedded reports

    I've been using code to modify the Database, Username and Password in imbedded reports for quite a few years.  Whether I was using C++ V6 or C# in VS2008, the process has been basically the same.  Now I am trying to use the WPF Viewer in VS2010 and am getting an "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" error.  I perform a successful Connectivity Test and receive the error when I'm trying to view the report.
    If I comment out all of the code that sets the source of the data and performs the connectivity test, the report shows up in the viewer and I'm presented a logon window similar to what I see when i design the RPT file in Crystal Reports. i.e the "Server Name:" shows the name of the Oracle Database I used when I designed the report; the "Database: " is empty; the "Login ID:" displays an edit box and contains the User ID I used when designing the report; and the "Password: " displays an edit box in which I type the password.  Once I click on the OK button, the report is displayed in the WPF viewer.
    Here is the code starting after I have loaded the report into a ReportDocument:
    if(report.IsLoaded)
      CrystalDecisions.Shared.TableLogOnInfo crTableLogonInfo;
      CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Tables crTables = report.Database.Tables;
      foreach(CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Table crTable in crTables)
        crTableLogonInfo = crTable.LogOnInfo;
        crTableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo.LogonProperties.Clear( );
        crTableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo.Attributes.Collection.Clear( );
        crTableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo.DatabaseName = null;
        crTableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo.ServerName = MyDatabase;
        crTableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo.UserID = MyUsername;
        crTableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo.Password = MyPassword;
        crTable.ApplyLogOnInfo(crTableLogonInfo);
      report.SetParameterValue("StartingCPID", "AAAAAA");
      report.SetParameterValue("EndingCPID", "ZZZZZZ");
      if(report.Database.Tables[0].TestConnectivity())
        reportViewer.ViewerCore.ReportSource = report;
        reportViewer.ToggleSidePanel = SAPBusinessObjects.WPF.Viewer.Constants.SidePanelKind.None;
      else
        MessageBox.Show("Unable to Connect to Database in report.");
    Any idea what I'm doing wrong or what is different in this version?

  • Validate web service username and password against Oracle EBS

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to pass username/password to a SOA webservice that needs to be validated against Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) login credentials. The EBS users are not integrated with SOA Weblogic server. In EBS, the standard PL/SQL procedure FND_WEB_SEC.VALIDATE_LOGIN(user_name, password) can be used for validation. Appreciate if someone can provide input on validating the username and password as part of web service security header using any OWSM policy.
    Thanks!

    I'm guessing that you are trying to call an EBS API and are using FND_WEB_SEC to test that the user account is valid in FND_USER first before executing the API call. In that instance, you'll likely need to use the Oracle Applications Adapter for EBS if you want to authenticate the user through FND_USER.
    If you've not purchased that adapter, you could use a simple BPEL process, with a regular database adapter to firstly call the FND_WEB_SEC package to authenticate. Pass the response from eBS into a bpel variable, add a bpel switch based on the outcome of that variable either execute the API call or  throw an authentication error if the call failed.
    You can wrap all this up into one web service that then calls this bpel process, taking the username and password as as input parameters.

  • Web service username and password problems

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a client to consume webservices exposed on a secure .net platform that is SSL protected (https).
    I am using netbeans 6 with WSIT support. When I create the web service and add the WSDL file - it comes up with the certificate that I then approve, but then just displays a IO Exception. When I access the WSDL through a browser, it requests a username and password (which I supply) and it works fine.
    I've tried on Netbeans 5.5 but with no luck - it asks for a username and password (at least) but doesn't accept them.
    How can I connect to an https web service that requires a LDAP username and password?
    Thanks,

  • SharePoint personalization & SSRS reports parameters

    i want to Use sharepoint personalization features in combination with SSRS reports to allow all users to configure their own  report parameters , is it possible ?? i tried doing it but somehow the parameters configuration is not getting saved.
    Guneet Kalra

    i want to use sharepoint report viewer webpart and want personalization such that each user can edit the webpart and save thier own report parameters , so if next time user A opens the report it opens with the attributes that A has saved earlier and for
    user B it opens with default attributes of B.
    I tried the same with personalization "Edit My webpart" of report viewer however we have to load the parameters of report every time which gives  the feeling that these are not getting saved. After changing the parameters when i open it in another browser
    the parameters are again resetted.

  • Prompting for UserName and Password when I click Report Server Web Service URLs in ssrs 2008 R2

    Hi All,
                 I am using SQL Server Reporting services 2008 R2 . When I tried to open report server webservice URL in SSRS 2008 R2 It is prompting username and password. I tried to resolve the issue by deleting the <!--

    and i tried by putting the server URL in trusted sites in IE also still no luck. I referred the below link 'http://blogs.msdn.com/b/lukaszp/archive/2008/03/26/solving-the-reporting-services-login-issue-in-the-february-ctp-of-sql-server-2008.aspx'
    I am getting the same error.
    Can anyone help me out to resolve this issue easily.
    Thanks
    Dathy

    Hi Dathy,
    Generally, this is a very common issue in Reporting Services 2008 R2, the blog you post is a good blog that summary the common solutions. If it doesn’t help, could you please try the following:
    Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools and click on Internet Options.
    Under the Security tab, click on Trusted sites and click the Sites button and Add Report Manager/Report Server URL to the trusted sites.
    Then click Custom Level, and check the option Automatic logon with current user name and password.
    Repeat step 3 and step 4 for Local Intranet.
    Hope this helps.
