Users are able /not able to join Flexconnect APs

Hi Community ,
I have 2504 controllers(.6) at central office and remote APs have joined the Controllers . Flexconnect is Up and working . Problem is I can see some users are able to connect to some flexconnect APs but not to some other APs in the remote side .
What is the reason for this type of behavior ?

You don't happen to have a topology do you? Are you saying you have 6 x 2504's? Why so many? Flex APs are they doing local switching? Do you have VLANs identified on all the FLEX APs? Are the FLEX APs connected to a switch port that allows trunking if they are doing local switching? How are the clients authenticating central or local AAA server?
Really need a L2/L3 topology even pencil sketch to help answer this.

Hello All-
All the users are able to access all the queries in all the query areas and infoset irrespective of the user group setting. even though the users don't have access to a particular infoset they are able to access and execute the queries in them and also edit them.
Please advice if there is a setting that is set at the client level or any other setting. We are in ECC 5.0 recently upgraded from 4.6.

The role all these employees are having is a composite role which is having SQ01, SQVI as a single roles in it.
But if the users have the access to SQ01 then why are they able to edit or change any other queries which they don't have access as per the user group. What is the use for the user group?

Domain Users are allowed by default to join domain

Hi everyone !
Recently i install Windows Server 2012 Standard
Configure Active Directory Domain Services
Create simple user "test1"
then i go to windows 7 client and join domain with this "test1" user.
and i shocked how is it possible that a simple domain user which is not a part of any domain admin or admin group and can join or rejoin domain successfully.
Help me to get out of this how can i restrict simple domain user to join domain and why it was by default ?

By default, EVERY user can join up to 10 clients to the domain.

Create a GPO, link it to the domain, move it up to above "Default Domain
Policy" and configure Computer - Policies - Windows Settings - Security
Settings - Local Settings - User Rights Assignment: Add Workstations to

What would cause a single user not to be able to edit the fields in a form? All other users are able to edit the form.

I have a user who is unable to edit his time sheet in Adobe Reader XI. It worked fine in Adobe Reader 9.6. I recently upgraded his reader to version XI and he lost the ability to edit the fields. I re-imaged his machine and re-did his profile. He was able to edit his time sheet. A week later he's back to where he was. He was able to go to another machine with Adobe XI and edit his time sheet but he can't do it on his normal workstation. His time sheet shows the purple bar at the top telling him to fill out the form and that he can save data typed into the form. We're running XP SP3. How can I troubleshoot this?

My guess would be keyboard related. I'm guessing the field you're trying to fill has a keystroke event allowing only certain types of character. If the keyboard is faulty OR if the keyboard's layout (English, french, numLock, capLock) have been changed, allowed character could be someplace else.
I would first verify the presence of a particular format or a keystroke event in the format tab. I would then test my layout by typing charaters in another application such as notepad. Any chance the maximum character allowed would have mistaken be set to 0?

By Adobe, I'm guessing you mean Reader. Is it possible the default application on this other machine is Acrobat instead? If it is the case, the problem would probably be the way the file was created and maybe it would require to enable Extended features.......

Users are able to view only their own uploaded documents in Document Library

Permissions for all are "Contribute" but still few are not able to see all documents - docs uploaded by other users. Is there a setting that is preventing them?

One more thing you need to check about library is versioning. Go to doc lib settings-->versioning settings-->check content approval and document version history settings. They should be turn off.

If this is happening for few users then have you tried to use different browser and different machine. Just try to use different browser and machine with same user login and see the result.

Windows 7, and I open window, which then flashes across the screen and is then hidden (only on my screen--the other users are able to open Firefox). What can I do?

There are several different user screens on my computer with each users programs. We all use Firefox on our Windows 7 desktop. However, for the last week, when I hit my Firefox icon, a small window flashes across the screen and is hidden. However, it shows the open window and the default site on the Task Bar, and I cannot browse, although Firefox still works on the other users' screens. What can I do to use it again and still save my Favorites/Bookmarks?

External user not able to join Live Meeting, but can join Lync Meeting

We have LYNC 2010 pool with OCS 2007 R2 & Live Meeting clients ( with few LYNC 2010 clients). We are having issue with one external organization with Live Meetings. If any of our company user schedules Live Meeting, the particular external company users
( they have OCS 2007 R2 and Live Meeting clients) are not able to join our Live meetings. If we schedule Lync Meetings, they are able to join successfully through Web Interface.
On the other side, our users don't have any issue to join their Live Meetings.
We have LYNC edge servers and all external users don't have any issue to join our Live Meetings. The external company also don't have any issue with other users.
It's only 1 to 1 issue with Live Meeting ( not Lync meeting).
Any help to resolve this issue is much appreciated...

From your description, did you mean it is a coexistence environment?
Did they receive any error message from Live Meeting client?
If possible, you can test with other federation companies with Live Meeting client. If it happen to all federation companies, I suggest to double check port, certificate requirement for federation. If it happen only for one company, please check
if Live Meeting Clients update to the latest version.

Users are not able to subscribe to RSS feed using Outlook express

I have implemented RSS in one of my project .
My project is an intranet site.
In my project i use the rss.cfm for subscribing to the
content.
users are able to subscribe using IE7 & firefox but when
users try to subscribe using Outlook 2007 or outlook 2003 . they
are not able to subscribe.
is there any way so that users can subscribe by their outlook
as well ??

Newly created users are not able to log in through WEBGUI in SRM system

I have created new roles in the SRM system with the BP tanscation codes Like( BBPSC01
BBPSC02
BBPSC03
BBPSC04)
after that I have created new users and I have assigned these roles to users. Users are able to login throgh SAP GUI but Users are not able to log in WEB GUI.. Once they providing user id and password in web gui. they are facing issue.
For web login do we need to maintain any special settings in SRM system?
Please suggest me.

User being able to download filled out form in pdf format

No, respondents can only get the email with text responses. There is no way for them to get a PDF copy of what they filled out.

Everyone Except External users are unable to access the subsites

We have a SharePoint online site, in which we have given read permissions to
Everyone Except External Users in the parent site. Now, the users are able to access the parent site. But for sub sites, we have stopped inheriting permissions from the parent site and have given read permissions to Everyone Except External Users in
sub sites as well. But users are unable to access the sub sites. They are getting access denied message.
Can any one help me to resolve the problem?

Please check below links. They encountered similar issues and they had some assets (Page Layout or master page) checked out by users in sub site due to which users with read permission could not access.

Strange behavior OS 10.4.6 in one user area

I'm experiencing some odd behavior in OS X that I can't explain. My problem is in Skype, and while I know we're not here to comment on third-party software, it's not appearing now to be a Skype problem, but a possible generic OS X issue.
So basically, in Skype, if I go to "chat" and type away I get a bunch of code where I should see my messages. People on the other side see my real message, but nothing from them comes back to me. I thought this was a Skype issue, and thus followed that route ..... BUT
I opened up a new user area on my computer, ran Skype. It loaded (somehow) with my contact details there and when I tried to chat, no problem! I could type and see what others type.
The code I get on my normal user area Skype IM chat windows looks like this:

I can't explain why Skype would be fine on a new user area and not on an old one. PLUS, bear in mind that I have tried dumping Skype entirely in the old user area and reinstalling (including dumping preference files and even deleting the entire contents of User/Library/Application Support/Skype).
I'm worried that something has gone wrong in the underpinings of my OS system. One thing that got me wondering is that now (I noticed this quite recently) if I Command-i to "get info" on a file or folder, the information on the info window is misaligned.
For example, it will look like this:

In other words, the information is in the reverse place that it should be on the window. It should look like:

On my OTHER user area the Get Info command works fine and it appears as it should.
So ............ There's something wrong in my normal User area / account that is screwing with Skype and the underlying OS, producing results like that in the Get Info window.
Does anyone have a clue what this could be? Or better yet, how to run a check and fix it? I really don't want to have to spend three days moving files and preferences and everything else to a new user area and simply deleting my 73GB-fat current user area. But at the same time, clearly there's a problem somewhere that I need to address.
Any and all suggestions are most welcome!

Hi Ian, I don't know Skype but here's the whole litany for thoroughly checking your home folder. (I'd suspect fonts or preferences, specifically the Skype prefs. Your "get Info" display may be unrelated but the same troubleshooting should sort that too.)
1. Navigate to ~(yourhome/library/fonts - drag this folder to the desktop.
• Restart and test your applications.
• If they work start adding the fonts back few at a time.
( Likely suspects are Times RO & Helvetica Fractions, also if you do not use Classic you can trash the classic fonts.)
2. Check Preferences Thoroughly;
• Navigate to ~(yourhome/library/preferences drag this folder to the desktop.
• Restart and test your applications.
• If this works, save the old preferences folder somewhere else or on disk, name it "old prefs" .
** Note: A very important file is the "com.apple.Mail.plist" preference file located in the Preferences folder which contains all email account settings and general mail preferences (hold this one and replace if your problem is not with Mail).
You'll have to go through some of your System Preferences and apps to set the preferences back to how you like them. (Or if you have the time and inclination, "cherry pick" through until you find the problem one or two.)
3. Check Permissions Inside Home Folder
• Navigate to yourhome/library.
• Get Info (Command - i) on folders for apps you are having problems with.
• Open the "Ownership & permissions" disclosure triangle.
• Make sure you are the owner, with "read and write" access.
• Click on "apply to all"
• If this is correct, open the "Applications Support" folder and do the same procedure (Command+I) for the folders with the names of the applications you are having trouble with.
Note:
The reason to check this is because repairing permissions with Disk Utility doesn't touch permissions inside your home folder.
4. Navigate to yourhome/library/caches and drag this folder to the trash, then log out and back or restart. There is no need to replace this folder.

Domain Users are not able to log in to Domain Computers - Administrators are able to do so

I have Primary Domain Controller and Secondary one, The users can log in to both as I have changed the locally Policy to allow Domain users to log in.
But I am having problem with users who can not log in to computers joined the domain. I noticed that ONLY Administrators allowed to log in locally in the Policy and if want to add users, i will not be able to do so as Adding Users or Group is Disabled.

Please follow the below steps for checking whether either "Allow Logon Locally" or "Deny Logon Locally" is enabled in the default policy,
1. Go to start -> run -> tupe GPMC.MSC, to open Group Policy Management Console.
2. In the Group Policy Management Console,right click and edit the default policy and navigate to the node "Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment".
3. In the "User Rights Assignment" node, check whether the options "Deny log on locally" or "Allow Logon Locally" are
defined and groups added to those options to confirm the logon problem of domain users.
NOTE: Also check the local policy, as you have mentioned "I have Primary Domain
Controller and Secondary one, The users can log in to both as I have changed the locally Policy to allow Domain users to log in."
