Users not given option to "Use my Microsoft Windows user ID"
Hi guys.
Anyone seen this before?
When our users connect to BPC, either through IE or straight from Excel, they get the following:
The first time they connect in any session (after a reboot, logon, etc.) they are offered both options to sign in...
"Use my Microsoft Windows user ID and password"
and
"Use a different user ID and password"
This is as intended
However, on any subsequent login requests (changing Apps, AppSets, closing and re-opening Excel, etc.), they are ONLY given the "Use a different user ID and password" option.
Whilst this might seem a minor issue, the number of times that users are having to re-enter their password in a day is getting on people's nerves and we're hearing a lot about it.
Has anyone come across anything similar before, and if so, how (if at all) did you resolve it?
This has been a problem in v7.5 SP4 for a while and is still a problem after an upgrade to 7.5 SP6

That was gthe first thing I checked.
However, we have resolved it. Strangely, we had to set SOX compliance to ON and then back to OFF.
This seems to have done the trick.

I've disabled "SOX Auditing" option in Server Manager in BPC 5.1 SP03, but "Use my Microsoft Windows user ID and password" is still grayed out. The only option I unlocked is saving password.

AkimEnabling/Disabling SOX Compliance does not take effect until the 2nd time you go through the Connection Wizard.
Your problem could also be within Internet Explorer.
Go to:
1. Internet Explorer>Tools>Internet Options>Security Tab
2. Click on Local Intranet zone>Custom Level
3. Scroll down to User Authentication>Logon. Ensure that Automatic Logon with Current UN and PW is checked.
4. Do the same for the Internet zone.
Try on multiple machines.
Also on the client machine, look at the value for BASICAUTHENTICATION in:
hkeycurrentuser>software>vb and vba program settings>outlooksoft 5>latest -
I'm trying to install itunes but can't complete installation as its trying to install onto F: drive. I don't have a F drive and I'm not given option of selecting the drive to install on. How can I select the drive that i want to install on?

I treiws upgrading my itunes to the b=newest version and I got the following error:
"could not write value APSDaemon to \Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run. Verrify that you have sufficent access to that key or contact you support personnel"
I then went to that key and changed the permissions on it so that for Everyone - it was Full Controll instead of limited and I also changed the permissions for my administrative account which also didn't have full control. I tried to go back to the Itunes installer but it still wouldn't let me continue the process.
Any help would be much appreciated.

what version of Outlook are you using. I know right now its not compatible with Outlook 2013.

Not given option to preserve users and network settings
I have a Quicksilver with Leopard installed. I've learned that normally you can't install Leopard on this computer because the processor (733 mhz) is too slow. It works, but I've found that it does indeed run poorly.(The hard drive was transferred from another computer, with Leopard already installed.)
So now I want to install Tiger on it, but when I get to the options installation window and click on the 'Archive and Install' button, the option to also 'preserve users and network settings' remains grayed out. because tiger installer doesn't know how to deal with leopard files as leopard was released after Tiger. downgraded like this is not recommended by apple.

you can't. however, if you do an archive and install without preserving user settings, your leopard home directory will be preserved in the Previous Systems folder at the top level of the hard drive. after you are done with the install of Tiger you can move what you need to your new home directory. move data files ONLY. don't move any preference files. they most likely won't work.
A better option would be to back up your data to an external and do an erase and install of tiger. you should make a backup anyway in case something goes wrong with the install. -

I have done settings in SICF Tcode in ECC system as Following:
~Webgui = 1
~Webgui_simple_toolbar = 160, 2, 4, 16, 32, 64 and some more values... It is hiding the Back option but also the Save Option....
I also want to disable commands as Ctlr + S , shift + F3
Suggest me some solution so that this can be done from portal instead of ECC systems.....

I have done this problem using SICF but instead of Hiding Back option .. I have allowed a user to run only one transaction using an iview....
Put following parameter in SICF:
~webgui = 1
~theme = Sl
~SINGLETRANSACTION = 1
By this configuration user will be able to execute only one transaction i.e assigned him in his transaction iview.... It's an alternate solution of hiding back......
when user click front screen back option of an transaction iview he will get message ... Logged off....

I have a new Ipad Air and have noticed everytime I open the screen the charge has reduced. over night it dropped from 58% to below 10 with a low battery warning.
The screen was asleep, cellular switched off, Bluetooth on for the keyboard. all setting infact the same as my last model which performed excellently.
Anyone know why its losing its charge so quickly. it also sems very slow to recharge also, in one hr its gained a 12% charge.Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

iDVD and iWeb are no longer included in new computers because they aren't supported. If you want iDVD, you have to buy iLife '09 or '11 from eBay or Amazon and install it on your computer. After doing it, open > Software Update, and install the latest iDVD -
Do not get option to use swipe gestures with Remote app
I am using Remote version 3.0.1 and with previous remote versions when I opened the app on my phone I would get the option to access my library or to just use swipe gestures to control the apple tv - now I don't, it goes straight to my library when opening the app. What if I want to watch netflix or something other than playing stuff in my library? How do I get this functionality back? On the screen shots for the app in AppStore it has a shots of the swipe screen with "Tap to Select or Swipe to Navigate" so it must still be in this version?

BenOn the bottom of the app there are different options (Playlists, Artists, Control, Search, More). Choose control and it will bring you to that screen. If you can't get there maybe it isn't detecting your Apple TV.
