Using a licensing key

Ok so I was recently accepted to UC Berkeley and all new students receive licensing keys for Adobe Design Premium and Adobe Acrobat. The link it had me follow to download my software as trials took me instead to the creative cloud download. I downloaded the application manager, and not knowing what to do downloaded photoshop to see what would happen. I can register photoshop and enter my serial number, but will this also grant me access to the other programs that I also own? I really don't want to mess this process up, since I only have two license keys for each set of programs. Is there any way to download my programs in a block and register them like Adobe says I should be able to do?

Now that I have my computer back, I don't know how I extracted the .7z files before. The time I did, as I said, I could see no obvious set-up file, and the .exe achieved nothing. Now that I have tried downloading the files a third time, I get the same result as the first time - no right-click option will extract the .7z files, and the .exe tells me a problem occurred while trying to extract the files, and I should download them again. I tried WinZip instead to extract the .7z files,, but get a similar result. It tells me "Cannot open file 'ADBESTWDCS4_LS1'. It does not appear to be a valid archive." CS4 is unsupported now, so Adobe wouldn't help me when I said that I thought something was wrong with the download files.
Strangely, my computer tech was able to install the trial version on his computer from my disk. My disk won't work on my computer, even though all my other software installation disks do work. He suggested there might be something wrong with my registry. How would that be the case, since I've just done a clean reinstall of Windows 7?

Flash Builder 4.5 serial number will not work directy in Flash Builder 4.7. You can use FB 4.5 key in upgrade scenario (upgradation from FB 4.5 to FB 4.7).
Please use the Flash Builder 4.7 serial number provided at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs_flashbuilder4-7 for serialing Flash Builder 4.7.

Install SBOP 3.1 Enterprise and use EDGE license key possible?

For a customer I want to install the latest version of SBOP 3.1, which is Service Pack 7.
This service pack is only available in SBOP 3.1 ENTERPRISE, and not in the SBOP 3.1 EDGE.
Can I download and install SBOP 3.1 ENTERPRISE, and enter an EDGE license key? This customer won't need clustering/failover, or any other functionality which is available in enterprise. I just want to use the latest version.

Can I download and activate software but use the license key on the box?

I purchased a new laptop. It has no DVD or CD-ROM drive. I purchased Photoshop CS3 and Acrobat Pro8 with my old laptop. Can I download the software from the Adobe site and activate it with the software key on the box?

The serial number should put an end to the trial period. If it is still presenting it as a trial, select whichever option is presented for using a serial number / key to activate it and that should alleviate the issue.
If you should have an issue getting it to activate, contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone.

Unable to Use License Key

I downloaded Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04s - Full ABAP Edition with Web Dynpro for ABAP.
I am able to set up the same and i am able to logon to the NSP system.
But when i am trying to use my license key which i got from SDN it is saying the invalid license key. I tried with replaceing ZERO with "O" still it is showing the same. Could any body help me in this regard

to install the license key you should have logged on the windows system with user id nspadm.

License key CS5

I was given the license key for Adobe CS5 and what looks to be the programs to install but it's not working. Can I not use the license key twice or is there any way around that? When it downloads/updates it acts like it's giving me the trial versions.

when you install cs6 you will be prompted first for the cs6 key. if cs5 is not installed, you will then be prompted for the cs5 key.
make sure you give the correct key at the correct time.

Captivate 6 license key for Adobe 5.5?

We currently have two work PC's with Captivate licenses, one has 5.5 and the other has 6. This was an oversight on purchasing's end. We would like to have both computers on the same version. Is it possible for me to use the license key for Captivate 6 to activate Captivate 5.5 or is the only option to upgrade 5.5 to 6? We have found many of our clients cannot run 6, which is why we'd prefer to have both on 5.5, and don't want to pay for an older version if not necessary.

As far as cost is concerned - i think you can check that on Adobe site. I am not sure whether site will show upgrade from 2.0.5 to 3.0 as its little older version upgrade.

License keys after imaging

I have to deploy an image on nearly 100 computers, the image is Win7 x64 Pro. The image that is on the current test PC was taking about 4 months ago and deployed to those same computers. Now there have been upgrades and changes to that image on the test
PC creating a new one image to be deployed to those . Office was already installed on the syspreped image before, and it is the same again. That image was installed on locally (they were not on a domain) and all that was done after the installation of the
image was just open Word and go through the activation steps. All of the computers would be using the same license key and everything- just like the image on there currently. So we use volume licensing for Office 2010 and I was told that I would need to delete
Office off of each computer before installing the new image because of licensing limitations. The belief is that if you create an image and install it on top of another image already there (without uninstalling office) then basically the license key would
be used twice. Does office need to be completely deleted before I install a new image? I don't want to use 200 license keys for 100 computers. If I do install over top of the existing installation, with no hardware changes, with the new image will it over
ride the currently installed key and replace it? I need to know before I deploy the new images. Thank you in advance as your knowledge is appreciated!!

No, you don't have to do this in SQL Anywhere 16 - you can change SQL Anywhere editions by changing the license key on the accompanying server executable license file (e.g. dbsrv16.lic) with the Server Licensing Utility (dblic). You can use the "-k" switch in order to specify a new key:
dblic -k <reg_key> dbsrv16.lic

Installing Sybase SQL Anywhere license keys after initial installation.

I installed Sybase SQL Anywhere 16 before I actually received the valid License Key. So during the installation I've used the license key provided by the instructions. Afterwards, I've received the purchase license key. Do i need to reinstall SQL Anywhere all over? Or can it just continue to function on that license key? From what i understand, I can not change the license key after the installation was complete. I would have to completely uninstall and re-install SQL Anywhere 16. Is that correct?

10g license key

Hi Group,
I download oracle 10g from the oracle site. when I connected to the oracle by using siebel server then it's giving the following error
There is no valid license key in the database
if I press ok
then it's asking for please enter your license key
Please help to get the license key(trial version also ok)..

Oracle database does not use a license key. None. Zip. Nada. Zilch.
You may be getting that question from the Siebel side, and it may be saying that it can not find any appropriate key to run Siebel in the target database
You might want to ask in a Siebel forum.

License Key protected applications

I have created an application I would like to distribute as freeware from my product website.
I would like to enforce users of my application to continually upgrade to the next version of the application on expiry of a license key.
Can anyone tell me how I can go about creating license keys for my application that will enable me to specify a expiry date etc.. That way when the license expires the users are forced to download the next version of the application and renew their license.
I could create my own little application to accomplish this but I am sure there will be well tested ways of doing it out there somewhere....!!

License key Lightroom 4 for older version

just bought Lightroom 4 and run it on my Win7 system. As I am allowed to use it on 2 systems I would like to use it on my iMac PPC too. Lightroom 4 won't run on PPC but from my point of view it should be possible to install an older version and use the license key of Lightroom 4??? => I am not trying to use an old key for a newer version but a new key for an older version ;-)

New license key combinations are created for each new version of Lightroom. Consequently, license keys are not backward-compatible/usable on older versions. It just doesn't work that way even though it seems to you that it should. I'm afraid your only option is to upgrade your system if you want to use Lightroom. The previous responder indicated that Lightroom 2 was the last version you could use. It's questionable whether you would ever be able to find a version to purchase. It can be downloaded from Adobe, but if you don't have a license key you won't be able to activate it.
