Using ActiveX to access DirectDraw - where are the Type libraries?

Hi all. I am trying to poll the monitor to find out when information is written to the screen for a psychophysics exeriment. I have seen the discussion at:
http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Implenting-WaitForVerticalBlank/m-p/432112?query.id=74374#M212084
but I am using Labview 9 with 64bit Windows 7, and don't know how to specify the DirectDraw libraries to an automation refnum on the front panel. The previous posts indicated you need to select DIRECTLib.I_dxj_DirectDraw, but I can't see it. I tried browsing and pointing to DDraw.dll in the system files, but the reference created when I wired it to the Automation Open subVI was not recognised by the invoke_node subVI.
Does anybody know where to look for the relevant files with Labview 9?
thanks for any help
tim

Please note the 64 bit Windows reference!!
I'm not sure about the state of Direct-anything in post Windows XP but I have some doubts that it is still the prefered/recommended way to access those interfaces. As such the DLLs to support these interfaces may not all have been ported to Windows 7 and especially 64 bit. Being an API that sits in fact very close to the hardware, it is both a major hassle to port such libraries as well as likely a requirement to have native libraries in the system to even have a remote chance for them to work.
To go down this path you will certainly have to dig into the state of DirectX on modern OS, and especially their 64 bit variants. The DLLs from 2005 you found on some site (I would really very much hesitate to put DLLs from such sites on my computer in any way) certainly won't be adaptable to your 64 Bit Windows system, and most likely won't work for anything Vista or newer either. DirectX was way to close to hardware to have much chance of staying operational when moving DLLs to other Windows versions than what they were designed for.

  • Apex using AnyChart 3.3.  Where are the 3.3 XML documents/samples?

I can't find any documentation for creating AnyChart 3.3 XML based charts. Even though Apex provides an area to edit this XML. I'm looking for developer guides and XML schemas for AnyChart 3.3.
I'm fully aware that anychart.com has the AnyChart 4.2 documentation, but this does not help me since the XML has dramatically changed from 3.0 to 4.0.
    Where is this documentation?

    Hello,
I believe the documentation is still available on the AnyChart site somewhere (is there a 'previous releases' link somewhere?). I referenced it just a few weeks ago, but don't have the link history anymore.

  • Where are the "Common Libraries" in Flash Pro CC?

    Hello,
I am taking a Flash short course, and in the instructions for one of my assignments it says:
"To access these libraries from your menu bar go to Window>Common Libraries>Buttons.
A new library panel will open that allows you to access a vast array of possibilities. The buttons
are stored in folders that you have to double-click to open. They are organized into categories."
This sounds great...except there is no such listing when I click on the "Window" drop down menu,
or in any of the submenus, either.
    Does this mean I have to somehow download the libraries from Adobe? I tried figuring it out on my own, and searched Adobe's site;
    but couldn't find an answer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

Thanks much, Rob, that's a great answer!
My only problem now is that I began as a student using only Flash CC,
so I don't have the CS6 version to get the files from. Is there a way to do that here on Adobe's site?
I wonder why they removed them in the first place? I mean, I want to create my own elements, but sometimes
it's useful to be able to use pre-made elements since I'm just starting out learning the program.

  • Where are imported shared libraries defined

in system-application.xml, the imported-shared-libraries are defined as :
    <imported-shared-libraries>
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.dms"/>
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.jdbc"/>
and these are used in server.xml like:
    <import-shared-library name="oracle.jdbc"/>
my questions is where does the imported libraries name and actual jar files defined. for ex. for the name oracle.jdbc, where are the jar libraries location defined?
I got a problem looks like application server not able to find these jars unless I copy them to the applib folder.
    Thanks

Additional shared libraries may be configured to override the default shared libaries, including the oracle.jdbc library.

You cannot use iCloud Storage to suppliment your iPad. They are mainly used to backup iPad.
    Free up space on iPad
Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Delete what is not needed to free up space on iPad.

    Hi,
Table pools are special table types in the ABAP Dictionary. The data from several different tables can be stored together in a table pool or table cluster. Tables assigned to a table pool or table cluster are referred to as pooled tables or cluster tables.
This table are similar to the CLUSTER table types but these work on "LINEAR SEARCH" while CLUSTER TABLE uses "BINARY SEARCH to retrieve the data from the various tables and thsi is mainly used in the logical databases "LDB's" used in HR or ABAP-HR.
A table in the database in which all records from the pooled tables assigned to the table pool are stored corresponds to a table pool.
The definition of a pool consists essentially of two key fields (Tabname and Varkey) and a long argument field (Vardata).
Table Clusters Several logical data records from different cluster tables can be stored together in one physical
    record in a table cluster.
A cluster key consists of a series of freely definable key fields and a field (Pageno) for distinguishing continuation records. A cluster also contains a long field (Vardata) that contains the contents of the data fields of the cluster tables for this key. If the data does not fit into the long field, continuation records are created. Control information on the structure of the data string is still written at the beginning of the Vardata field.

Do not delete from the libraries until you know exactly what is being deleted.
Generally you should never delete from either of the Libraries, they contain critical system operation files.

  • Do you send the real traffic or a copy when you are using the CWS service and where are the datacenters located ?

Hi, when you redirect traffic to the CWS service for scanning, do you redirect the real traffic this way or is it a mirrored copy of the traffic ?
If all traffic is redirected to the Cloud, where are the Cisco datacenters located. Good to know I guess, since you don't want to avoid to much of latency

  • Where are the .joboptions stored on a Mac for InDesign CC?

Where are the .joboptions stored on a Mac for InDesign CC?
I put them in the usual directory:      /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings   .  .  . but they are not seen by InDesign CC.
. . . Photoshop, Illustrator, Distiller and Acrobat are seeing my custom profiles and any default profiles I removed are not there for those apps.
Even older versions of all these apps and InDesign 6 and 5 see my custom profiles.
But InDesign CC only shows the ones shown in the screen shot below:  (High Quality, the PDF/X versions[3], Press and Smallest size)
I know I can probably do a "Load" profile, but that's not the point and I need to remove the default profiles.
I'm in a multiple user environment and need to lock down the use of profiles to our companies select few.
Did a thorough search of the entire Mac and PDF/X- does not even show up.   Any suggestions?     Anyone?    I'm scratchin'  my head at this point.

      This was the correct answer:
Laubender     Jun 2, 2014 12:18 AM  (in response to Maurice Castelbuono)
@Maurizio – the standard settings, the joboption files with the brackets like [PDF/X-1a:2001] are stored inside the inDesign app for InDesign CC 9.2.1.
The path for these would be:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/mul
or with a Japanese version of InDesign:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/japan
If you do a right-click on the InDesign app you can show them with "Show Package Contents" options.
All other PDF joboptions that you are creating are relative to your current User Library. They are stored in:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
Where the tilde sign at the beginning indicates the home of the currently used user.
You can access ~/Library, if you press the alt key when accessing the "Go To" menu in the Finder. Otherwise it's invisible.

    Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to access the saved course and I am having trouble understanding the settings in the AE and locating the data in the provided tables as discussed.
1: What is the correct setting in the "Results Storage" and what does each selection mean?
2: Are there separate tables to be used if I am using AICC instead of SCROM? We are currently using AICC to allow multiple parts in the AE? (i.e. a PDF is the main data source and the user has to click the CONTUINE button to access the assessment)
3: What table allows me to view the final assessment scores or the inputted answers for the course?
Thank you for any help with these issues and any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards,

  • Where are the printer profiles in Mt. Lion 10.8.5? I want to install paper manufacturer's profiles.

I want to install paper manufacturer's profiles. All of my existing profiles were carried over when I upgraded to 10.8 but i do not find anything like the previous Color Sync folder. Where do I put the new profiles? And why can't Spotlight find the existing ones? BTW, I can't find them on my iMac running 10.7.5 either.

    Where are the rest?
Depends. For Epson printers, they're in the /Library/Printers/EPSON/ folder, and that itself varies. For the Stylus Pro 4900, they're in that folder, and then another couple of subfolders deep in InjetPrinter2/ICCProfiles. Sometimes they're tucked away in a .plugin or .framework file within the EPSON folder, or one of its subfolders. In short, they're not always easy to find. At least not with Spotlight.
To make your search way easier, download the free EasyFind. Turn on the check boxes to look within Package contents, and Invisible Files & Folders. There's nothing on the drive that can hide from you. Then do a search for .icc .
But unless your objective is to remove a long list of profiles you'll never use, there's no need to find these other obscure locations OS X lists profiles from. Just put the ones you want to use in either the /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ folder (if you want all users of that Mac to have access to the profiles), or the ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ folder (the tilde means your user account). Only you will have access to the profiles if placed there.

  • SYSLOGD gone wild - where are the files?

    Hey all,
Yesterday I had 15GB of free HD yesterday, it told me today that I was down to 100MB.
Confused - because I haven't added any files, I check the activity monitor and found that SYSLOGD was running, and using an absurd amount of processor and disc access.
I searched on it, and it seems to relate to Time Machine, which I'm not using.
SO... I rebooted, and now it's not running any more.  BUT - the hard disc space is still gone, and I don't know where the files are that I need to delete to free it up.
I've loaded a disc scanning utility to try to find where a new 15GB file might be hiding, but I'm thinking it's in the hidden area of the disc.
QUESTION 1 : Where are the files SYSLOGD wrote and how can I delete them?
QUESTION 2:  What made it run, and how can I keep it from happening again?
    Thanks!

If you're looking for trash sounds, those are located in /System/Library/Components/CoreAudio.component/Contents/Resources/SystemSounds/ . If you're wanting to change the put stuff in trash and empty trash sounds, then follow these steps.
Convert your sounds to aif, save them in some convenient location.
Replace the two sound files *"move to trash"* and *"drag to trash"* inside the Finder and Dock folders, respectively, inside the SystemSounds folder, with the one you want for putting things in the trash and the *"empty trash*" one inside the Finder folder with the new one for emptying the trash.
Ensure that you rename the new ones the same as the originals. (I usually copy the originals and add a .bak suffix so I can restore the sounds to their original condition.)
OPTION-click the Finder's Dock icon and select Relaunch.
Do note that if you'll have to authenticate to copy, rename, and replace these files. I use the Terminal with the sudo command to affect the changes.

  • ODBC - where are the tables

Newbie installation of Oracle XE on Windows.
Created tables A,B and view C as user SYSTEM.
Created user readonly and granted select to readonly for A,B,C.
Created ODBC link for user readonly.
When I try to link to these table in MS Access,
I get a list of about 1000 tables to choose from,
none of which is SYSTEM.A, SYSTEM.B, or SYSTEM.C.
Similar thing happens with ODBC link for user SYSTEM,
except that there are even more tables accessible from Access
    (still, not A,B, or C).
    Where are the tables?
    Thanks,
    Peter Kopke
    [email protected]

    1) You should never, ever create tables owned by SYSTEM or SYS. Those schemas should be used only for Oracle-owned objects.
    2) If you create an APP_OWNER schema and create tables there, are you able to see them through ODBC?
    3) Which ODBC driver are you using?

  • German Keyboard (Where are the ä, ö and ü keys???)

It is great that the iPhone offers different keyboards and that the word corrections are adjusted accordingly, BUT where are the special characters such as ä, ö and ü??? I couldn't find them on the German keyboard. Any ideas?? Thanks.

It actually works with c, e, i, l, n, s, y and z keys too. The objective appears to be to give easy access to all language-specific accented characters from any keyboard where those character-variants are not on their selected keyboard's display. It certainly works well and is an 'in-line' way of providing easy-access to the facility without cluttering the display still further with more options that are seldom used by most people in most cases.
