Using Audacity with PE7

I am having problems with the narration on PE 7 and in this forum I saw a recommendation to use Audacity. I downloaded the program, but unfortunately there is very little information about how to use it. I made an audio, saved in Export as WAV, but when I open up my video in PE7 and use the add media, I cannot locate the audio. Can anyone help me? Maybe I am saving it incorrectly.

Besides the on-line Help for Audacity, Steve Grisetti has done 2 - 3 articles on its use and posted those to Muvipix.
Now, when one does a Save, choosing PCM/WAV 48KHz 16-bit, they should have the option on where to Save the file(s), but the ability to name them. In that folder, one should find the named WAV files.

PS - do see the Audacity Help, as there instructions on how to set it up to use VST's, so that one can add Effects, like EQ's, Compressors, etc., that are written as VST's.

[Workaround] Audacity with jack?

I recall back in the day (Ubuntu) I was able to follow the guide here for getting audacity to play nice (input/output) with Jack. Haven't used it in a year, but now that I'm back on it it just crashes without any error messages when I select JACK as an output. As you can imagine, this sort of limits my bug-hunting capabilities...
Right now I can still play audio thanks to my .asoundrc containing a jack plug. However I can't record from other JACK applications.
Is there a bug in the package (I see --with-portaudio=v19 in the audacity PKGBUILD and portaudio ./configure --help seems to indicate that having JACK support is the default)? Does anyone else here use audacity with jack-audio-connection-kit?
EDIT: This problem seems limited to my laptop, as my desktop with a near-identical Arch 64-bit setup cannot reproduce it with the same packages installed. I workaround the issue by just using the alsa plugin for jack.

Anyone know how to rip audio using Audacity if there's no "wave mix" selection from the input source on new versions of the software for Mac?

Actually, which IdeaPad do you have? Maybe it has a stereo microphone input and you could make do with that?
USB ADCs accept RCA and/or 3.5mm jacks, and plug into a USB port.
These things go from $100 to $2000, depending on what quality you get. Apparently this one is an adequate entry level solution:

I'm not much of an audiophile, so I can't really comment on the quality of any of these ADCs. On paper, a higher sampling frequency and bit depth is better quality in principle.

Almost certainly. You can use any program which does what you want: the end product has to be an .mp3 or .m4a file. After that it's a question of making the feed, either writing it yourself or more likely using a program or online service.
Audacity is a useful program, and free, and you can certainly do the sort of things you need to make a podcast. I prefer Amadeus Pro, which costs $59.99 and has recently been updated with better multi-track facilities: I always fled that Audacity was awkward to use by comparison and occasionally flaky, but we're probably splitting hairs here: it would certainly be a good place to start.

I am considering purchasing a second computer. I have had great success with PE7 and Vista, But I can't get Vista on the new Alienware I want to buy. So, has anyone had any issues with PE7 and Windows 7? I have read many posts where there are issues with PE8 and Windows7.

I don't use it a lot, since I have a desktop. I've noticed having a
dedicated video card makes a world of difference in editing. This might be
your problem; a dedicated high end video card is the way to go.

I have an old XP computer with PE7 and the associated organized pictures. I have acquired a VISTA lap top and have installed PE7 from the original disks. There are some organized pictures on the VISTA machine. I want to move or copy the pictures and asssociated catalogues, etc from the XP computer to the VISTA machine. I have a remote hard drive that I can use. The computers are on a network. Thanks in advance.

As Winston Churchill wrote, however you might want to do a factory reset on the Apple TV.
This way all information pertaining to your daughter will be removed from the device. Specifically if see was sign into any of the streaming service, Netflix, Hulu, etc. her credentials will still be associated with this Apple TV, doing a factory reset will remove all that and make it as if you purchased the device and just plugged it in.

OPEN CURSOR using a WITH clause in the select query

I am using Oracle 9i. I have a requirement where I have a REFCURSOR as an OUT parameter for my procedure. I have declared the TYPE and created the procedure.
In the procedure, I am using OPEN <cursor_name> FOR <query>;
Ideally this works in most of the cases that I have tried earlier. However, in the current case I am using a WITH clause in my query to get the results.
I need help in understanding if the above mentioned syntax would not allow me to use the WITH clause in the query.

In the Music tab of iTunes, do you have 'Include Voice Memos' checked?

The answer would be in your software license agreement for Aperture. However if you cannot locate it you can ask in the Aperture forum, the link for that is:

However I believe you can have Aperture installed on two machines however only one may be using it at a time.
On the new iMac launch the Mac App Store - Purchased - look for Aperture and download to your new machine.

Hi,
I have text data spread across a number of different tables. I have created a user_datastore with a feeder procedure that creates an xml document which is then indexed into a dummy column on the parent table. This works fine. However I need to add an mdata section to the index, via my xml document. I haven't seen any examples of this being done in conjunction with the ctxsys.auto_section_group option of the create index statement, and am wondering if it is possible?
Could somebody furnish me an example of how I achieve this.

You can't use MDATA with AUTO_SECTION_GROUP. AUTO means it automatically assigns zone sections for every tag it finds - if you want anything other than zone sections you must use BASIC_SECTION_GROUP, XML_SECTION_GROUP or HTML_SECTION_GROUP and manually define your sections.
