Primavera P6. Have you tried to exchange project
information with P6 users? What data is most important to
you in this transfer process?

in terms of VMI your customer does not need to have SAP
there are standard EDI VMI messages likes orders/ ordersp/invrep
which can be used in all VMI scenarios in SAP and in non SAP env.
so in terms of multiple customers you should be using what your GS1 org or similar is proposing
in your country - so you can add other clients in the same way
if you use an EDI broker they usually have a predefined standard (EDI or XML)
which can be easily used

client for your web service has to be written in Java. The WSDL that I sent contains
everything that a .NET-based (or Perl-based, or Python-based, or VB-based, or
C++ based) Web Service Stack needs to correctly create all the data types in the
web services' signature! That's the beauty of XML Schema! It's programming language
independent :-)

GlTransactionsCpyType is the outer-most Java Bean. WLS 6.1 does not generate

You asked for someone to provide you with an example of how to use SOAP array
in a WSDL, which is what the attached file contained :-) What you want to do now
is find a tool that can generate Java Bean code from this WSDL (Apache Axis has
a wsdl2java tool that should work), or create the Java Beans yourself. Afterwards,
create a WLS 6.1 Web Service a expose it for a Perl or .NET client.

There are two separate calendars on ipad (ios 7.1) one for icloud, one fo exchange. I have tried a couple of calendar apps and while they do a good job of showing the events in the app - they don't push (synch) back to iCloud. Any thoughts on an app that will take my ipad calendars and synch them to a single icloud calendar/account?

Can I use UDP to exchange data between 2 VIs on the same computer ?

I try to use UDP (because I don't want to write a share_memory dll ..) to exchange datas betweend 2 VIs.
Is it possible ? (so far, it doesn't work)
Is there a better way to do that (and faster than write a shm in C) ?

Yes, that's no problem...If you search through the examples shipped with LabVIEW you'll fine VI's that exchange data via UDP and you can run them on the same machine.
Are the VIs in separate built applications, is that why you want to use a network protocol?

We are in process of setting up VMI with one of our bigest customer. We are working on SCM5.0 and ECC6. But customer has non R/3 system and already have EDI infrastructure.
This VMI implementation using APO ( that is Customer system -> APO(DP/SNP)-> ECC6 (Sales order)), Customer will be sending sales and stock data to APO and we may have to send confirmation after Sales order create in ECC6.
My questions is what is best method to exchange data between customer, EDI or XML? If so what are the advantages using one over other?

Exchanging Data with Styles in JTextPane

Is there any way to exchange data between two JTextPanes via a single object? (e.g., extracting Strings or byte[]s which contain both textual data and the corresponding Styles?)

I have previously considered this later approach as well. However, I have no need to load the entirety of a JTextPane --- rather, only small, formatted portions. Moreover, while saving the data from one JTextPane to disk and then reading only the desired portion may seem to be a viable option, the frequency at which I hope to perform these transfers may be too great than to be effective and/or practical. Thus it would be ideal to excerpt/copy portions of JTextPane via an RTF or equivalently-encoded data model; a simple one-to-one process.
I do appreciate the thoughts you've suggested; please send anything else you think might work.

How to make a report to display next 18 months of data with when user select a particular month from the filter in power pivot tabular model.

i have a dimension table with month_key having values (201201,201202,201203.......202011,202012) and month name ( Jan 12, feb 12,......NOV 20, Dec 20) and a fact table with columns (month_key ,measure_types, Amount)
My requirement is to create a power pivot report in which when a user select a month from the filter, the report should display the (selected month+18 ) month's data against each type . when JAN 12 is selected ,the jan 2012 +18 = june 2013
, month name should be populated with months till june 2013 only .
i tried creating calculated column"END DATE " in the fact table with dax expression to calculate the 18th monh from the current month as below
month_key END DATE
201201       201306
201202       201307
and thought of filtering the table with month key <= ENDDATE but it is not working as expected. could you please guide me on this ? Is there any time intelligence function that serve the purpose . Iam using excel 2010
..hence could not do any calculation on the report side also. please suggest .

Do you need to show the measure calculated for those 18 months as a total on 1 row, or do you need to select a single month and then display on row filters 18 distinct rows?
The first is trivial as driezl has suggested.
The second will require a second calendar table.
I created this example workbook for a coworker who had a similar problem. You will have to use the disconnected table as your filter and pull your related table onto the rows.
Finally, the easiest way to deal with the sort of date arithmetic you need to do is to restructure your date table to have a series of "Sequential" fields. These fields should be the number of units of time since the beginning of your calendar.
For example, consider a calendar starting on January 1, 2010. For January - December 2010, [MonthSequential] = 1, 2, ..., 12. For January - December 2011, [MonthSequential] = 13, 14, ..., 24, and so on, incrementing by 1 for each sequential month in time.
Assuming you have this set up in your date tables (one related to your model - DimDate - and one disconnected - DisconDimDate) your measure would look like this:

I'm trying to implement a program in java that reads audio data and sends it over the network (netmeeting clone).
to reduce the bandwidth I want to use the G723 audio codec, from which I have
an ansi-c implementation.
Concerning the exchange of data:
My java program carries the audio data in a byte-array, which I want to pass to the c-encoding function which expects a byte-array as input and returns a character-array.
I've already set up the jni-interfaces as follows in my c file:

1. You are probably going to get into trouble treating numeric data as chars. Java is much more careful about this sort of thing, and you are going to have to work your way through the analysis to determine the correct data type.
2. But let's assume that it is something like a chararray. You will be returning an object, not a pointer, so you will have to instantiate it, and fill it with content, all using JNI methods.

Is there any information about using iCloud on a Mac with multiple user accounts (Mountain Lion)

When upgrading to Mountain Lion, you are asked to sign in using your iCloud ID. I don't understand how to set up the proper synching of "stuff" if your Mac has multiple user accounts, and they each have their own iCloud ID.
The whole issue of supporting multiple users on a Mac and making everything easy to understand with regard to iTunes and iCloud is, in my opinion, currently in a state of disaster. Apple needs to address this. They have conveniently made it a non-issue on iPads by not allowing multiple users. I can tell you that as one of the resident iOS and Apple experts in my office, most of the questions I get from others (not work-related) are on this topic. It needs to be easier to understand and accomplish.

My wife and I share the same iMac but use different user accounts. Currently, I have our photos and Aperture library on a second partition with no ownership, allowing us both to access the library and edit, reorganize, etc (I know we need to be careful not to make changes "simultaneously," so we simply shut one instance down before switching user accounts). 1 Quit iTunes.
2 Drag your entire *iTunes folder* from /Username/Music to /Users/Shared.
3 Log out.
1 Log in on your other account(s).
2 Start iTunes and immediately press an hold the Option key.
3 iTunes will ask to *Create new library* or *Choose existing library*. Select *Choose existing library*.
4 Select the *iTunes library file* in the *iTunes folder* in /Users/Shared.
5 Now go to File -> *Add to library* and select the *iTunes music folder* located in /Username/Music.
6 - iTunes will add all the music in from this account to the main iTunes music folder/library.
7 Delete the *iTunes folder* in /Username/Music
8 Restart iTunes normally (don't hold Option). Everything should be there.
9 Quit iTunes and log out of the account.
10 Do the above steps for all users. Don't do the first 1-3 steps. Start at the second series.
Log into your account, start iTunes normally and all music should be there.
Whenever any of you do anything in iTunes, it will be seen by all since you are using one and the same iTunes library file.
Create a "main" playlist for each user with their own music. Create a smart playlist and set it to Playlist is not the playlist you created above. Select this and it will show you everything NOT in your playlist. Do the same for the others. This will help when adding only the music you want your own playlist.
Note that iTunes can only be opened by one user at a time. If you have Fast user switching enabled, the other users must quit iTunes in order for anyone else to use it.

Suggestion on using SwingThreads to fetch data with Stateless Sessin Beans

I have developed a GUI application using Swing.
Using this GUI user will be able to view data (Tabular representation)fetched from database using Stateless session beans. In the application there will be two tabs and data should be fetched based on filtering parameters like Id which is a combo box. So if the user changes the comboBox selection, the data should be updated in two tabs irrespective of current tab focus.
Currently I'have not used any Threading concept while fetching data. I have made calls based on Tab focus. But plans to use SwingThread SwingUtilities class. But it has problems of asychronous communication. So if anyone has faced problems using swing thread for doing database access using stateless session beans can throw somelight on this to avoid problems which may come later.
In simpler terms using Swing threads have to make two or three EJB calls and fetch data from database and update the Table data.

Your user response time should not necessarily increase. You could load your data for the selected tab first and update the display after each response. This is simply showing information as soon as it becomes available rather than waiting for the entire operation (2 remote calls) to complete.
If you use 2 Threads you might get this anyway but should ensure that your EJB calls happen in parallel otherwise you should work out the best order for them yourself.
I'm not sure I'd say that you'd get synchronisation issues. You might get data issues whereby, as you rightly say, one of your calls returns an error. This shouldn't cause too many problems but you will need to make sure you've got suitable error-handling code and the ability to convey errors to the user.
Personally, if the calls were dependent on each other I'd make them one after another in the same Thread rather than trying to coordinate two concurrent remote calls.
If you're worried about the overhead of two remote calls in series then you can always expose another stateless session bean method that will perform both calls (or however many you want) for you in one remote call, thereby cutting down the overhead and simplifying your client development.

I want to implement our internet voting protocol with jc3 connected edition. I mean by using NetBeans IDE (JC3 web project). what i need is that use jc3 as web service client but unfortunately jc3 does not support web service ( i test its APIs, but some people say it support restful web service, again i think it does not support restful APIs, too.
I need to have send and receive data over http. for example i want jc3 send a string value to a definite web server( electoral web application) and get response, over http. I have implemented my protocol by socketconnection but i need, send and receive done over http protocol. I use httpconnection ( javax.microedition.io.httpconnection) but i can not do that. I will be grateful if anyone can help me.

This may be difficult to do in the real world. I am not aware of any JC3 connected edition hardware commercially available.
Is the intent that each voter will have a smart card that they can use to securely vote? It may be easier to have a host application on the voters computer that uses the smart card as a security token for signing and encrypting and then passing this encrypted data to the voting system with a HTTP connection.
