Using DBMS_LDAP to retrieve the DN based on a UID

Hello there,
I have a users ID (UID) and I want to determine the DN using dbms_ldap.
is this possible ?
currently I am using
l_retval := DBMS_LDAP.search_s(ld => l_session,
base => ldap_base,
scope => DBMS_LDAP.SCOPE_SUBTREE,
filter => 'uid=gerard.rogers',
attrs => '*',
attronly => 0,
res => l_message);
however this only returns folloiwing attributes

I was expecting the DN to be returned.

I dont understand though why it is different to get the RDN from active directory.
the pricinciple is the same but the atrribute values differ.

I want to retrieve the records which are added or modified after a particular date & time.(but the table does not contain any column for date & time )
For example: Product table(pid number,pname varchar2)

But the table does not contain any date field.

1. Create your data type like this:

2.In your message mapping assign all the constants. You might want to concat all the values of the FIELDNAMES and output them to DATA

is there a subprogram in dbms_metadata that will retrieve the call spec of a procedure/function that ideally
if the my program spec is proc1(id1 in number, cde in varchar2, id2 out number)
if I call something like

It gives me

Not really sure why you need it from dbms_metadata, but DESC and DBA_ARGUMENTS (dictionary view) would provide the same info. *_ARGUMENTS has lot more info in it

Hi Experts,
I have small requirements in AdvanceListPanel. I have custom BO as mention below,

               element ID : ID;
               node Sporoduct [0,n] {

                    element P_DES :   SHORT_Description;
                    element P_QTY : Quantity;
                    element P_NET : Amount;
I have attached the OVS on Product ID (P_ID) element.
I want to auto-fill the details under the AdvanceListPanel ( Product Desc , Product Net value ( Price) )
1) How to get the details of Product ( Prod Descr, Product Price etc ).
Please anyone have idea about this share your thoughts.

     What you want is to auto-fill the related details when you select a product from your OVS.
     That means you have to write your codes in Event After Modify.
     We normally use QueryByElements or some other query options given for a particular standard BO.
     It would be like that.
     var query=Product.QueryByElements;
     var selParams=query.CreateSelectionParams();
     selParams.Add(query.ProductID ,"I","EQ",this.P_ID );
     var result=query.Execute(selParams);
     for(var product in result){
     this.P_DES =product.Description;
What I have just written is just a sample code. You have to find the exact name of the attributes of a standard BO in Repository Explorer.

This current computer has just been reformatted as it crashed and I am trying to get all of the music back but am told I am at the 5 home sharing limit. Anyone know how to deauthorize the old computers so I can have itunes on the primary computer?

Are any of the two remaining authorisations on a computer you have access to?
If so, I'd try doing a deauthorise all from one of the accessible computers, and then reauthorise the ones you still have access to.

Pl sql procedure to retrieve user details based on the input

I am looking for an example which will retrieve the data based on what he requests. I mean: the user types in an request_name, the procedure will check if the request_name already exists. If yes, then it will retrieve the request_name and other columns from the table R. Else it will create a new request by adding request_name and other details to the table.

If defaults are set for the request table fields and you can get by inserting only the request_name field, perhaps something like the below would work?
T_REQUEST is the table, REQUEST_NAME is the field you mentioned. If the function finds the record, it returns it as a record. If it doesn't, it inserts a blank record with REQUEST_NAME populated:

Retrieving the Cell Site Id, Mobile Network Code, Mobile Country Code

I am using CLLocationManager to retrieve the latitude/longitude of a place.Its working fine.I can also find the distance travelled between the old location and the new location.
But I need to get the information about the Cell Site Id, Mobile Network Code, and Mobile Country Code .
Is there any API in the SDK to retrieve them ?or any other work around that will fetch these values?

Create the Sort version with field Inventory no, so that you can display Inventory no details in all Asset report.
You can get "Inventory no" details by including field "INVNR" in Sort versions for Asset reporting(T.code - OAVI).

Not able to Retrieve Transaction Data based on the property of master data

I am trying to retrieve transaction data based on property of Master Data for ACCOUNT (property ACCTYPE = ‘EXP’)
in BPC 10 version for netweaver.
Transaction data is present at backend, But I am not getting data in Internal table after running RSDRI Query.
I am using this code.

Data is coming if i use ID of ACCOUNT directly, for e.g.

so in this case data is coming , but it is not coming for property.

Hi Rishi,
There are 2 steps you need to do,.
1. read all the master data with the property you required into a internal table. in your case use ACCTYPE' = EXP
2. read transaction data with the masterdata you just selected.
Then you will get all your results.

SQL Query to retrieve the All records based on the Max Dates.

I am trying to retrieve the newest record based on the date field ( nextDate ).
Currently there are only 4 records in the MC_Maintenance table and two in the Machine table.
Machine table
MC_id             EquipID
1                     0227
MC_id             EquipID
2                     0228
MC_Maintenance table
Maint_id           MC_id             Next_maint
1                      2                      08/25/2010
2                      2                      07/01/2010
3                      1                      06/11/2010
4                      1                      07/11/2010
What I am trying to accomplish is,
list the two machines from the Machine table with the MAX(Next_maint) controlling the MC_Maintenance output list
These are the records that I would like to Display.

Below is the SQL Query

Using a lookup for mapping program to retrieve the specific value

Hi All,
I have a scenario like I need to use a lookup for mapping program to retrieve the specific value based on the input parameters.
Here I have got some rough idea like
1. Creation of java program to connect the DB table and access the values, Import this java program as archive into XI.
2. Creation of user defined function to use the above java program
3. Include the user defined function in the interface mapping.
Here I feel it needs some more info to complete this scenario, so can anyone provide the step by step procedure for the above scenario.

Are you wanting to use the BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK along with the Report Engine SDK as opposed to using the Web Services SDK that you were using previously?
Also, what part of a webi document are you trying to get the XML format of?
- Whole document
- Single report within a document
- Report page of a report
- Report part within a report
- All data providers
- Single data provider
