Using html in a text box?

I've created a regular text box in Flash and have found that I can only apply italic, bold, centered etc options to the whole text box. What do I need to do to be able to apply workinf HTML tags to my text to correct this?

What buttons do I press in order to do that?
And if that won't give me alignment choices aswell, then what will?

    How to hide cut/copy/paste/Replace… menu on the UIWebView when it is being displayed over the keyboard.
    Detail: I am having a HTML from, having text box, displayed using UIWebView. If user types in text box it shows the keyboard. Now If user tap and hold on text box it shows a popup menu. Now while keyboard and pop up are being displayed user scrolls the view. At this time it shows pop up over the keyboard which I need to hide.
    I tried setMenuVisible of UIMenuController when popup rect and keyboard rect intersects each other on viewDidScroll but it didn't help me.
    Any clues will help a lot.
    Thanks.

    hi vingorius ,
    No you cant include html but u can use variables
    To add a variable in a text message to provide context for the iBot attachment
    1. Click the following option:
    If sent as attachment, include this text
    2. Type the text into the text box with a session variable, a repository variable, or a presentation variable using the syntax shown in the following table:
    Variable Type
    Syntax
    Repository @{Variable_Name}
    Session @{NQ_SESSION.Variable_Name}
    Presentation @{Variable_Name}
    For example, Dear, @{NQ_SESSION.Variable_Name}, here is your personalized Weekly Sales Territory Update.
    NOTE: If you want to use the @ character, you need to precede it with the \ (back slash) character to separate it from the variable syntax. For example, Dear @{NQ_SESSION.DISPLAYNAME}, \@ New York, appears as Dear Joe Smith, @ New York.

  • PowerPoint using macro to delete text boxes after printing

    Hi,
    We created custom shows in Powerpoint and are running a macro to insert temporary page numbers on the slides before printing.  The issue is that I need to remove the page numbers after printing.  I'm a novice at VBA so I'm sure there is an easy
    solution, but nothing I've tried so far has been successful.  The code is displayed below for your reference.  Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi hlolrich,
    According to the description, you want to remove the shapes which created after you print the presentaion.
    I suggest that you name the shape you added with some rule, then we can delete thease shapes via the name rule.
    And here is a sample that you delete the shapes which name contains the
    myShape words on the first slide for your reference:
    Sub deleteShapes()
    For Each aShape In Application.ActivePresentation.Slides(1).Shapes
    If InStr(aShape.Name, "myShape") Then
    aShape.Delete
    End If
    Next aShape
    End Sub

  • Why is text washed-out when I'm using a color-filled text box?

    I have created some text boxes in InDesign. I've colored them a lighht green, and I am trying to type into them but my text is washed out, even though I am picking a much darker text than the box fill. How do I fix this? I am working on a tight deadline! Please help.

    Thanks. Here's a screenshot. I'm referring to the light green boxes on the side. The text I'm using is the same color as the text above that says "appalachian ohio" but it isn't showing up.

  • Creating a help interface using HTML/XML for text data.

    Hi,
    I'm currently building an application which has need of a help feature. I plan to have this either in an individual/internal frame or in a seperate browser window. My question is this:
    1. Can I open a browser window without losing my OS independence?
    2. Is there a swing component that displays a HTML file from the source file, or is my only option to get an XML file, run it through SAX and display it that way?
    Note: I'm already using an XML parser as part of this project, so using it for a help file would be no big problem. I'm just trying to find a (quick) workaround. Not that I like cutting corners.
    Any comments on this are welcome, no matter how small.
    Thanks for your time.

    In answer to 1. -> No you can't open a browser window without using the underlying OS mechanism...you could however encapsulate the OS mechanisms in a separate class/package so that your core app doesn't have to know...
    In answer to 2. -> Danger Will Robinson!!! Yes you can use the JEditorPane, but to be fair, it's c**p, and when you release the system your Users will whine endlessly about why they can't open their help files in their usual browser (this is especially true if they are coded in HTML). I know this because I wrote a help application using HTML and had Users and the marketing department complain at me endlessly. Also, the HTMLEditorKit in Swing seems to have a number of strange handling of img paths, at least in 1.3 it did...this caused me all sorts of problems...
    The usual way to get around this kind of thing is to open up a file browser, get the User to pick their favourite browser application (usually the .exe on Windows or the script on Unix) and then remember it, when it comes to opening the help file just use Runtime.getRuntime ().exec ("userBrowserLocation pathToHelpFile"). Of course this has the trouble that you can't package the help file in a jar or zip, but in general Users want to have control over HTML files...and Users usually have a fanatical desire to use their favourite browser to view them in...
    Just a thought...

  • How to load an html file in Text Box using script?

    Hi,
    does anyone know what is the sequence of commands for inserting an html file in a text object, if possible, via vbs?
    Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the Commands and Variables for the text object (aka user object) in the help. Where I can search for them?
    Thank you!

    Hi def90,
    Sorry for the confusion. In that point the help information is not correct. We can only import RTF and ASCII via script but not HTML. We are going to change the help for that.

  • How to populate multiple text boxes by selecting a value from drop down

    I apologize in advance if this is redundant, but I have searched this forum relentlessly to no avail. I have a form  connected to an MS Access database. The database is linked to another datadase on an Advantage server. This is dynamic data that has an ODBC driver allowing to link access tables to the Advantage data. Macros on access updates the table being used on this form. The livecycle form connects to the access data via a DSN on a machine that uses acrobat (not reader). This is a physician office, this form should expedite ordering radiology tests on patients. The plan is to use a drop down to select a chart number that will trigger several text boxes to populate dynamically with the corresponding demographic values like name, age, insurance etc.
    Using a data drop down I am able to select the chart number. When I used the example from the office supplies database, so that a button will trigger the event with the following code:
    if (Len(Ltrim(Rtrim(SelectField.rawValue))) > 0) then
    $sourceSet.DataConnection.#command.query.commandType = "text"
    $sourceSet.DataConnection.#command.query.select.nodes.
    item(0).value = Concat("Select * from OfficeSupplies Where ID = ", Ltrim(Rtrim(SelectField.rawValue)) ,"")
    I recieve a syntax error, despite adjusting quotation since I am using text rather than numeric fields.
    My question is the following:
    Is there a simple javascript that I can use to populate these text boxes (which may be read only but would be better if it allows user input)? Or does anyone recommend an alternative method? I would be happy with a link that solves this problem if someone can provide. I am somewhat familiar with js but open to any suggesstion.
    Thanks
    PS this form could also be linked to a Sequel database if that offers an advantage.

    The View object API has a setQurery() method that you can use to set the query as needed before executing it via executeQuery(). You can do this in a custom Application Module method exposed to its client interface and bound to the binding layer. You can call this method from your backing bean on a value change listener.

  • How to edit text in the yellow text box of a URL-link?

    Hey guys!
    I´m currently working on a website in Iweb.
    My current challenge is the following:
    - I´ve made a marked text a hyperlink. But when I rollover it, a yellow text box appears and shows the entire URL.
    Now, I want it to show a custom edit text.
    example:
    the link is: www.domainpage.com/home/subfolder/page1234/sweet.html.
    the yellow text box SHOULD SAY (example):
    "Sweet" tattoo
    How do I rename the text in the yellow box?

    This is a screenshot of what text boxes affect the page title.
    If you can't change the necessary text box to reflect the title you want you can add the title via an HTML snippet and the following code:
    <script type='text/javascript'>
    parent.document.title = "PAGE NAME TO SHOW IN BROWSER TAB/BAR";
    </script>
    Apply the code via snippet to each page you want to change the name to.

  • How to include unicode chars in text boxes?

    Hi,
    We need the unicode chars (for example: Chinese, Korean, etc...) to appear in the generated .pdf and .pcl files from the Adobe Output designer's IFD file.
    These chars are static and will not change, so we shall not be fetching them from FNF file (.dat).
    While trying to copy-paste directly into text box field, we are getting an error prompting for converting them to some other character set.
    We couldn't paste them exactly with the text how they should appear in the text boxes.
    Please tell us if there is a way to achieve this.
    Thanks and regards,
    Gurunath
    [email protected]

    Double check that all of the selected presentation targets and the font being used for the particular text box supports the characters you are trying to paste into it. For example, the PDF target only has 11 fonts available unless you use the other tabs to "create new soft font cartidges". If you have the appropriate fonts installed on you PC you should be able to use this capability to make the font available for each of your presentation targets. (At least that is my impression - I've never needed to try it.)

  • Raw HTML data in reply box instead of formatted text when using forums or webmail interface

    At work, we use an internal webmail service with SmarterMail Enterprise 5.5 to communicate. Since upgrading to FF6, the reply text area no longer shows formatted text, and instead just shows the raw HTML code of the message you're typing. The size of the message box area is also reduced to about half what it used to be.
    Text formatting also does not function on several message board forums around the internet. Seen many others complain about the same.
    This did not happen in Firefox 5, and does not happen now in Chrome or IE8. Something about FF6's handling of webmail interfaces and forums or the handling of an extension that affects a webmail interface or forum is off.
    Any help?

    AFAIK, no. Acrobat/Reader will only generate plain-text emails.
