Using img tag with htmlText

I'm trying to display images within mx:Text components using htmlText. However, no matter what I try, I can't get an image to display. The application just displays whitespace where the tag is. My current code looks something like:
<mx:Text id="test_html" width="100%" height="100%">
<mx:htmlText>

Why can't I include an image =(

</mx:htmlText>
</mx:Text>
What I get displayed when I view this is:
I've tried essentially every permutation that I can think of -- setting the htmlText in actionScript, using all different paths (app:/assets/add_icon.gif, ../assets/add_icon.gif, add_icon.gif, embedding the image and using {<classname>.addIcon}). I have other images embedded in the application using the path "../assets/
" and they work fine (they're not being used in htmlText).
Has anyone had this kind of trouble before? Any idea what might be going wrong?

does anybody know anything? how long do i need to wait to see
if someone replies? I just need to know if it is possible or not.

• Possible bug using go tag with redirection under SSL?

I've been testing an application under SSL and have noticed that some links "pop-out of SSL". Upon further inspection I noticed the links were using <go> tags with redirect set to true.
Does anyone know where <go> gets the URL it uses? I'm wondering if this might be a webcache configuration issue or appserver config issue.
note: using AS 10g 9.0.4.1.1
Thanks in advance!
/SFL

Hi all,
Just thought I'd update on resolution. As suspected, an AS config issue was responsible for this glitch. Long story short WebCache can communicate in 2 ways w/ an origin server (HTTP or HTTPS). You can have WebCache use SSL w/ the client and still communicate with the origin server using HTTP (which was our case). PITFALL: the origin server is unaware of the use of SSL by the client (WebCache only "knows"). SINCE THE ORIGIN SERVER IS THE ONE EXECUTING THE <GO> TAG, when using redirect=true attribute with the tag, the URL generated by the rewrite routine is HTTP and not HTTPS as one might expect when accessing the app via SSL.
Hope I can spare someone else the headache...
Cheers!
/SFL

my requirement i wnat to create multiple PDF and upload in to folder then zip folder so user can able to download ZIP file
thanks in advance

my requirement i wnat to create multiple PDF and upload in to folder then zip folder so user can able to download ZIP file
1) Create a folder named, say, docsDir, in the currect directory.
2) Create the PDFs, using Eddie Lotter's suggestion, naming each file dynamically, and storing each in the folder docsDir.
<cfloop query="myquery">

<cfset filename='doc' & myquery.currentRow & '.pdf'>
<cfdocument format="pdf" filename="#expandPath('docsDir\#filename#')#" overwrite="true">

Code to generate content of <cfoutput>#filename#</cfoutput> goes here.

</cfdocument>
</cfloop>
3) Zip the folder, docsDir, storing the resulting file, docsDir.zip, in the current directory.
<cfzip action="zip" file="#expandPath('.')#/docsDir.zip" source="#expandPath('docsDir')#">

• Generate image with CFIMAGE - but need to use img tag to serve the content

I create a new image with cfimage, that already works without
any problems.
But instead of using the action="writetobrowser" I need to be
able to use the script inside a img tag:
Example: <img
src="myscript.cfm?somedata=iwanttheimagetocreate>
I found one webpage that deals with that problem (
http://www.webdevelopernews.com/2007/09/14/serving-up-cfimages-via-image-tags/)
but the image served to the browser, when using the code below, is
of a very low quality and another point is that you can't serve
.gif's to the browser.
<cfcontent type="image/jpg"
variable="#ImageGetBlob(backgroundimage)#">
Any suggestions/solutions?
Thanks,
Phil

In that entry Raymond mentions:
"The WriteToBrowser action actually generates HTML that points
to a ‘magic’ URL to serve the image.". ie
Perhaps you could create a function that captures the
generated html by using <cfsavecontent>.
<cfsavecontent variable="imageTagHTML">
<cfimage action="writeToBrower" ..>
</cfsavecontent>
Then uses a regular expression to extract and return the url
portion only. ie
"/CFFileServlet/_cf_image/_cfimg-12345036853711072.PNG"
<cfset ExtractedURLHere = SomeFunction(arguments...)>
<cfoutput></cfoutput>
Though you could also use the entire html string directly
<cfoutput>#imageTagHTML#</cfoutput>

Is this a known problem? Is there a way to get around this?
Thanks in advance.
Fred

This is a known issue with 903, fixed in coming 904.
In 903 the workaround is to use primitive type "boolean" instead of Object type "java.lang.Boolean" in user's getter and setter code for the taglib.

• Error using selectmany tags with backing beans - Beta 1

Hi All,
I'm not having any luck getting any of the selectmany tags working with back-end beans. I've concluded it just doesn't work. My example is derived from the selectmany sample in the tutorial, which also just doesn't work (there are 4 or 5 problems with the sample in the tutorial, including the fact that there's no tag called 'selectmany_checkbox' in Beta 1, it's renames to selectmany_checkboxlist. But I digress).
Anyway, the following is the relevant JSP snippet:
<html:selectmany_menu value="#{facesTest.items}">
<faces:selectitem itemValue="foo" itemLabel="foo" />
<faces:selectitem itemValue="bar" itemLabel="bar" />
</html:selectmany_menu>
Here's the relevant backing bean snippet:
protected ArrayList items = null;
public Object[] getItems() {
System.out.println("getItems():ENTRY");
if (items != null)
return items.toArray();
else
return null;
public void setItems(Object[] items)
System.out.println("setItems():ENTRY");
int len = 0;
if (null == items ||(len = items.length) == 0) {
return;
if (this.items != null)
this.items.clear();
this.items = new ArrayList(len);
for (int i = 0; i < len; i++) {
this.items.add(items);
I've declared the bean as follows in the face-config.xml:
<managed-bean>
<managed-bean-name>facesTest</managed-bean-name>
<managed-bean-class>ipt.faces.FacesTest</managed-bean-class>
<managed-bean-scope>session</managed-bean-scope>
</managed-bean>
The errors vary, but basically when I don't select anything from the multi-select menu, all is fine. When I do select something I get one of two messages returned thru the messages tag, either "Conversion Error setting value 'null' for 'expression'" when I select one item or " Conversion Error setting value '[Ljava.lang.String;@397d4e' for 'expression'." when I select two items.
Turning on 'FINEST', I get the output below: Any ideas? I've noticed several posting regarding the selectmany tags, any response on getting these to work?
thanks!

• Use Finder Tags with multiple computers

How do we keep Finder Tag names in sync for files saved in Dropbox or iCloud?
After I can add tags to files in my rMBP and assign colours to them, these files are kept in sync with my iMac through Dropbox.
In my iMac, while the new colours are reflected in the same files, the Tag names are not.
Is this how its supposed to work?

To seems problem to be the effect of you rename the defult Finder tags (the ones replacing Finder labels) instead of making new ones.
So this made the trick for me:
1. Created completely new tags whith the names I wanted
2. Gave the new tags colors
3. In Finder settings, removed the default tags from the sidebar and the contextual menu, putting the new ones in their place.
Then at least tagnames - and colors and sidebar settings – was synced via iCloud and Dropbox. I think this will be the case for server volumes as well.

I had deployed one application in tomcat 3.3.1 which used custom tags with body, and it worked fine, However recently I upgraded that application to tomcat-4.1.12
and the tags with body stopped giving expected behaviour, however the tags without body are giving expected behaviour, I had a look at generated jsp file...
I am pasting the generated output here
jp.co.nttdata.sk._webtier.tagext.FormTag jspxth_sk_form_0 = (jp.co.nttdata.sk._webtier.tagext.FormTag) jspxtagPool_sk_form_action.get(jp.co.nttdata.sk._webtier.tagext.FormTag.class);
jspxth_sk_form_0.setPageContext(pageContext);
jspxth_sk_form_0.setParent(null);
jspxth_sk_form_0.setAction(SKScreenDefinition.SK_I0100 );
int jspxeval_sk_form_0 = jspxth_sk_form_0.doStartTag();
if (_jspx_eval_sk_form_0 != javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.Tag.SKIP_BODY) {
if (_jspx_eval_sk_form_0 != javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.Tag.EVAL_BODY_INCLUDE) {
javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.BodyContent _bc = pageContext.pushBody();
_bc.clear();
out = _bc;
jspxth_sk_form_0.setBodyContent(_bc);
jspxth_sk_form_0.doInitBody();

int evalDoAfterBody = jspxth_sk_form_0.doAfterBody();

if (_jspx_eval_sk_form_0 != javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.Tag.EVAL_BODY_INCLUDE)
out = pageContext.popBody();
What I found out that scriptlets are also encluded in string however they should not be enclosed.
Is it a bug? or do I need to change my taghandler class...?
Any suggestion, any help ll be really helpful

Hi,
I am able to resolve it,
Actually I was using the body content as tagdependent instead of jsp.
However the body content tagdependent works in Tomcat 3.3.1 and weblogic 5.1, 6.0.
Anyway...

• Using itemtype img tag and meta tag with {tag_largeimage}

Hi everyone
Just getting into using Social Media meta Tags for my online store using bc
Schema.org markup for Google+
Twitter Card data
Open Graph data
and I used this site for reference Must-Have Social Meta Tags for Twitter, Google+, Facebook and More - Moz
Ive added this to my large product page and now ive entered the world of Schema.org markup and itemtype and im having trouble with images.
for my large product page ive turned the meta tags from this...

to this

but the page doesnt like it and the page reads with 3 /> /> /> at the top of my html page for anyone to see meaning that bc doesnt like the code.
also doesnt like it when i use
<img itemprop="image" {tag_largeimage}" />
turns into this

Image is the only one im having a problem with so far any ideas if I can do anything about it. I dont want to have to manually add a http to every product.
thanks
Dave

the meta tags work now.
the only one i still cant get to work is the
<img itemprop="image" {tag_largeimage}" />
when I change it to _path the html editor saves it as

so will have to leave that for now put I can still use alot of the itemprop tags to promote the page better than before.
thanks for the help
