Drag the Library from the Pictures folder to the Users/Shared folder. I would point out that folks doing this on 10.6 and later frequently meet permissions issues. You might do better moving it to an appropriately formatted External Disk.

I assume there are already instructions on Apple.com someplace but haven't seen them yet… I have to one terabyte drives one the operating system the other is blank I want to start fresh I want to zero out both drives but I didn't want to make any mistakes
I know I can use disk utility to 0 Out Dr., #2 that means I will have to take out the operating system hard drive out of my 2008 Mac Pro and put it into my 2009 Mac Pro to use the disk utility to zero out drive one the OS drive in my 2009 Mac Pro am my correct

I'm doing this because my friend told me that zeroing out the drive can nap bad sectors and also later for some kind of diagnostics usage of the drive or something like that he wasn't really clear
My friend was really specific he said choose the option that writes zero's once over the drive that is plenty good enough I was inclined to use the maximum seven write ...I just want to make sure the drive has no bad sectors and that's it's it's zeroed out for possible future diagnostics usage or something that he said was usable later
he also advised me to run a test on it but I don't have the software you mentioned or the software that he has… So I may have to take the drives over to his house unless you have some kind of free software that's easy to use that you could suggest that will not only zero out the drive but test the drive completely

you can change the page orientation by selecting the menu item "File > Print..." then adjust the orientation in "Page Orientation" section, then click "Done" (or "Print", if you want to print).

Remove the drive and put it in an external enclosure. Backup the drive completely. Repartition and format the drive. Replace the drive into the computer. Take the computer in for the logicboard replacement.

You can open the open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" and drag the home button to where you want it to appear.

HT4759 I'm getting a lot of spam in my icloud account and would like to change my icloud email address, how can I do this?

After having a mac.com email for nearly 10 years I fell for a scam email and now am getting spammed daily in my email account. I use this email account for everything and would like to either block the spam emails - although that's hard since they change their email address daily - or just get a new icloud email address. I've researched this and have not found this easy. Any suggestions on how to change my icloud email account? Keep in mind all my devices are connected through this email including iTunes. To get a new iCloud address you would have to create a new iCloud account and migrate your iCloud data to the new account. If you want to do this, go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account, and when prompted about what to do with the iCloud data choose Keep on [My iDevice]. Then set up a new iCloud account with a new ID, turn you iCloud data syncing back to On, and when prompted choose Merge to upload your data to the new account. When you turn Mail to On you will get a new @icloud email address (@mac and @me addresses are no longer available). Once your data is in the new account, you can just delete the old account from your other devices without saving the data on the device, then sign into the new one and the migrated data in the new account will be synced back to them.
If you need to, you can change your iTunes ID to this new email address. This guide explains how to change an Apple ID name, but you can follow this and edit the primary email address instead to change it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE40.

Can I use my time capsule with a bad hard drive as a wireless router if I remove the hard drive?

If you decide not to provide a rescue email address, you can't reset your security questions and answers yourself later in the event you can't remember the answers to your questions. You'll need to contact iTunes Store supportto have your questions and answers reset.

How to sync an iPod Touch after replacing the hard drive

Hello,
The hard drive on my second MacBook Pro failed, so we had a new one fitted.
I recovered most of the data using Data Rescue, so I can grab the music files, photos, Pages files, etc.
However I can't get the User data from the damaged drive, nor any of the software programs and serial numbers so I'm effectively starting again with just the software that comes with a 'new' Mac.
The Apple ID on the iPod Touch is very similar to [email protected]
When I launched iTunes for the first time on the MacBook Pro I entered that email address, but it seemed like a new account was started (?).
I connected the iPod Touch to the MacBook Pro.
The message I got was...
"The iPod "Toby's iPod Touch" is synced with another itUnes library. Do you want to erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library?"
I clicked Cancel.
What do I need to do to get iTunes to recognise this iPod Touch so it finds all the apps we bought for it?
I have a funny feeling that we are logged in as [email protected] in iTunes, but this isn't the same account as the Apple ID of [email protected] on the iPod Touch. Or have I misunderstood something?
Extra info: I think this computer was working with a User name of Chris Payne, but since it's had a new internal drive we've only set up an account called Toby Payne.

This is correct. There is no way around this. The ipod touch will sync with one and only one computer/library at a time. If you sync to another, it will indeed erase the current content and replace with the content from the new drive/library.
You can transfer itunes purchases ( including apps) from the ipod. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
