Using .java files in studio creator 2
I am a C programmer new to Java and Studio Creator 2.
If I add a blank java file to my project and create a class test1:
public class test1 {
public static void main (String[] args) {
System.out.println("Hello World");
How do I execute this code from within creator2?
What I want to do is use creator 2 to write, debug, and run a .java file.
Never mind, thank you anyway - jcarr

How to make bank management system using java file system
Hi, I have some fields
1.ID
2. Deposite
3. Withdraw
4. Balance
Now how can i manage this Bank Management System using java file system.
Thanks in advance. Then we're back to (1): Do your own homework. Google has zillions of links on handling files in Java. When you have written some code and have an actual problem, we'll be happy to help you with it.
(edit) Incidentally, this sounds suspiciously like the sort of problem they set for the certification programs. In which case, don't bother; they're not worth the virtual paper they're printed on. -
Ok, so im pretty new to this JSP lark and have a question.
I have Java Classes resting in .java files, i need to know how
do i link these files to my .jsp page so that the classes/variable etc.
declared with the java files are recognised when they are come
across in the .jsp file.
I dont know if I have explained that properly.Just include this statement at the top of your jsp:
<%@page import="yourpackage.yourclass"%>
The .java files should of course be compiled into .class files prior to using (and you don't include the extension when importing). -
Is it possible to zip and use java file in jar?
there are 2 cases:
1. only zip no-package java files in a jar file:
i.e.
------------zip
NoPack0.java (they are no package)
NoPack1.java
NoPackN.java
------------as NoPack.jar
2. zip both no-package and packaged java files in a jar file
i.e.
------------zip
NoPack0.java
NoPackN.java
pack\HasPack0.java (they are packed in 'pack')
pack\HasPackN.java
------------as HasPack.jar
my question is:
for 2 cases above, if both, one or none of them can be use as a jar file in -classpath for javac compiler?
thxhas my Q been answered?

Working with CVS and Java Studio Creator 2
Hello,
I'm a new user of java studio creator and I would like to make a project using ths CVS.
First, I've installed a CVS server on a computer.
Then I've created a new project (an example included with JSC)
Then I've customized the version manager in JSC 2 to connect to the remote CVS server.
No problem, if I try to connect to CVS in the version manager, it work ("You are connected").
On the other hand, when I want to check out my project on the CVS (the first check out), I've got this error :
cvs server: connect to 82.252.252.173(82.252.252.173):2402 failed: Une tentative de connexion a chou car le parti connect n'a pas rpondu convenablement au-del d'une certaine dure ou une connexion tablie a chou car l'hte de connexion n'a pas rpondu.
cvs [server aborted]: Couldn't connect to lock server
Have you got an idea on the configuration error I've done (no solution found in the articles nor faq)?
Thanks in advance
NicolasHello,
You can see checked out files when you use the Versioning Manager. Just expand the tree to see individual files and folders. It's always a good idea to do an update before you start editing a file in Studio Creator. The Merge Conflict Resolver is a a very useful tool when more than one developer is working on a file.
You can find a lot more about version control in the IDE's help files.
And by the way, your English is fine.

}Hi, i've done all described in the posts, but i
don't know how to call the servlet, using the web
browser, and more, how can i call the servlet frrom
a button action? or hyperlink?
nks for the helpOk, I am not sure what you are trying to do. For these events you can
use the SessionBean. What do you want the servlet to do that the session bean can't?
I use the sessionbean because I don't know how to receive or respond to xmlhttpreq messages directly in my sessionbean. If you just need the standard http req/resp it doesn't seem like a servlet is needed. -

Is sun java studio creator 2 a commanly used developing tool?
I just downloaded the sun java studio creator 2,but still wonder which IDE the java programmers use in their work.Do they really program application just by the command line?
I am a novice in java and what's worse, I don't have any programming experiences. So I will ask many funny things .By the way, IMO, as a newbie you should definitely
not use an IDE unless you know your way around
classpaths, packages and command-line
compilation/execution. If you don't learn it now,
it'll haunt you later, and an IDE will only add to
the confusion by doing things you don't understand.Yeah, good advice!
So firstly I need to understand the basic concepts. -
