Hi, i've done all described in the posts, but i
don't know how to call the servlet, using the web
browser, and more, how can i call the servlet frrom
    a button action? or hyperlink?
nks for the helpOk, I am not sure what you are trying to do. For these events you can
use the SessionBean. What do you want the servlet to do that the session bean can't?
I use the sessionbean because I don't know how to receive or respond to xmlhttpreq messages directly in my sessionbean. If you just need the standard http req/resp it doesn't seem like a servlet is needed.

  • Using .java files in studio creator 2

I am a C programmer new to Java and Studio Creator 2.
If I add a blank java file to my project and create a class test1:
    public class test1 {
    public static void main (String[] args) {
    System.out.println("Hello World");
How do I execute this code from within creator2?
What I want to do is use creator 2 to write, debug, and run a .java file.

Never mind, thank you anyway - jcarr

  • Using stylesheets in Java Studio Creator

I have a project in which I have to use a given stylesheet with css entries for <h1>, <2> and so on. How can I embed such a css? How can I ensure that all these headers are always displayed the correct way?

First note that all pages already have a stylesheet by default that Creator adds for you: this stylesheets adds colors to get "row striping" in data tables for example.
The easiest way to add additional styles is just to cut & paste the styles from your other stylesheet into the existing stylesheet (which you can edit by opening the "Resources" folder under the Web Pages folder in the project navigator, then double click on "stylesheet.css". Go to the end, paste your styles, save, then go back to the web page and select "Refresh" from the context menu. (The last step will soon be unnecessary).
You can also import your own stylesheet in as a new file in the project: Go to the File menu and select Add Existing -- then add the stylesheet. It's now added to your project, either in the web pages folder or in its "Resources" subfolder.
If you want to replace the existing stylesheet and use your own -instead- for a page, select the page (by clicking on the page background), then go to the property sheet and select the stylesheet property for the page, click the "..." to open the property editor and browse to your stylesheet and hit OK.
If you want to use -multiple- stylesheets for the same page you have to work slightly harder: go to the Source tab, locate the <link> tag in the source which has a 'rel="stylesheet"' property; copy this line so that you have it repeated, then change the stylehsheet url. In other words, you end up with two <link rel="stylesheet"> tags, one for each stylesheet.

  • Can I do this with Java Studio Creator?

I want to create a web site for people to download my original music. Is Java Studio Creator a good tool for something like this or is there something better for this type of endeavor?

Thank you for the information. I envision it being sort of a shopping cart operation where possibly the client could create their own album of songs from several choices of 2 minute snippets. I also see possibly donating 10% of cost to charity of client's choice. Not sure how that would go.
I already have Dreamweaver 4. Maybe I should just use that? Java Studio Creator looked good because I want to learn more Java for my job anyway. And it is not as proprietary. Also the price is right. Jim

  • How to use print functionality in Java Studio Creator

    Hi,
I am working on one JSF project using Java Studio Creator.

I have configured all the required properties of this button but still by clicking this print button, I am not able to see the print window.
Please help me in that, Its urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Is sun java studio creator 2 a commanly used developing tool?

I just downloaded the sun java studio creator 2,but still wonder which IDE the java programmers use in their work.Do they really program application just by the command line?
I am a novice in java and what's worse, I don't have any programming experiences. So I will ask many funny things .

By the way, IMO, as a newbie you should definitely
not use an IDE unless you know your way around
    classpaths, packages and command-line
compilation/execution. If you don't learn it now,
it'll haunt you later, and an IDE will only add to
the confusion by doing things you don't understand.Yeah, good advice!
So firstly I need to understand the basic concepts.

  • How to avoid Java Studio Creator 2 to use the regional settings?

How to avoid Java Studio Creator 2 to use the regional settings to select the language that will be used to display the IDE in a certain language?
My country settings are set to Belgium (French) but I want to have my IDE running in English.
What should I change in the defautl properties of JSC2 to avoid this behaviour?
Please, don't tell me to change my regional settings, it is not a valid answer :-)
    Best regards,
    Abdelkrim BOUJRAF

just modify creator.conf in directory etc/
    add: -J-Duser.language=en
    in the netbeans_default_options line:
    like this:
    netbeans_default_options="-J-Duser.language=en -J-Xms96m -J-Xmx384m -J-XX:PermSize=32m -J-XX:MaxPermSize=128m -J-XX:+CMSClassUnloadingEnabled -J-XX:+CMSPermGenSweepingEnabled -J-Xverify:none -J-Dnetbeans.javacore.background_scanning=true -J-Dsunappsrvint.home=\"C:\Program Files\Sun\Creator2\SunAppServer8\""

  • Download Java Studio Creator using SDM

    I have downloaded SDM.
How to Download Java Studio Creator using SDM ?
can any one send me the link which i need to paste?

    Hi!
When you have SDM installed, go back to the download site for Sun Java Studio Creator and proceed like a normal download. After accepting the license terms you would normally click on one of the links below. Instead just 'copy link location' instead and paste it into SDM - that's all.

  • Webboard project using sun java studio creator 2

I would like to create a simple webboard using Sun Java Studio Creator 2. In the View Topic page, there are a subject and a message creator by the owner of the subject. Then there are messages reply by others. I use Table component to list all the messages. I put a Static Text and a Text Area component in a group panel. And put a group panel in a Table Column. I bind the the reply message with the Text Area.
    My problems are...
    1. The Text Area have the same value for every row.
    2. I changed the Text Area to Static Text. The binding is successful. However, it cannot display multiline message. Please suggest a component that is more suitable to bind the variable lines message. I would like each row to have different height depending on the length of the message.

  • Using CSS Style Editor in Sun Java Studio Creator

I could not open the Custom Style Editor Window for the components in my Java Studio Creator. Thats means I can not enjoy any facilities as described at:
    http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/techart/style_editor.html
I reset my computer then reinstalled Java Studio Creator in the hope of solving this problem but the problem is unsolved.
My Java Studio Creator is a paid version and I am using a WindiosXP computer with SP2.
Please anyone help me to solve this problem. Thank you very much.

I have been trying to update through the update center but I am getting the messame "Error: Unable to connect to the update center server" for the last couple of days.
I tried two/three times in the last one hour period and get the same message. (Now it is 10.30 am UK time 23rd May 2005)
I tried the choice of disabling the firewall before update effort and I am not using any proxy.
More advice regarding the update center and CSS style editor is very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

  • Can we use JSF 1.2 with Studio Creator

I've downloaded the JSF 1.2 implementation from https://javaserverfaces.dev.java.net/ . The package contains some new components, such as the graph and chart component.
Can this version of JSF be installed to work with studio creator? Thanks,
    Cre

I assume you mean a pre-release of 1.2 since 1.2 is not out yet.
Unfortunately, I doubt that it will work at designtime.

  • Is it possible to Use Java Studio Creator to create standalone Apps

I am looking for a good Java IDE for client application development. I used to use JBuilder, but it doesn't work on the Intel line of Macs.
I have been checking out Jaca Studio Creator, but it seems to only be for server apps.
Is there a download somewhere that will enable this?
    Thanks, Michael

Have you looked at http://www.netbeans.org or http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jsenterprise/index.jsp?
