Using java or javaw on demand

Hi all,
I have a simple question:
Can we specify whether the program will be executed through java.exe or javaw.exe by not changing file associations?So, the programs runs on console directly opens, and frame applications runs without console

Any ideas?Not sure I understand exactly what it is you want to do.
Are you saying that, from the console you want to be able to type [myapplication].jar and it will automatically determine what type of application (console/GUI) it is and have the appropriate application (javaw or java) load the jar? If so, then no, that can't happen.
You can, however, build a batch file that specifies. For instance, lets say you created a Swing application, you could write a batch file as so:
@echo off
javaw MyJar.jar
@echo on
Then, from the console or from the desktop, you can simply type: [name of bat file] or double click on a link to the bat file.
