Using MAP parameter type through Xacute Query

Hey All,
I have a transaction that has an input parameter of type Map.
My question is what is the format I have to pass to the transaction through an xacute query.
I've tried
Key=[string:Value]
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jasper,
This worked for me, give it a try and let me know. Obviously, substitute your own key/value pairs   I added a Tracer inside the transaction, and this is the format that was display in the Tracer Message.
{myInt=[[integer:22]], myString=[[string:burp]]}
Pardon all my edits, for some reason, the brackets weren't showing, should be brackets around integer:22 and string:burp
I think I got it fixed!
Kind Regards,
Diana

  • Executing BLS Transaction through Xacute query template?

    Hi Experts,
    Am having a SQL query template for which am passing value from web page after user input and i have added this SQL in my BLS transaction in illumSQL action block. I have created Xacute query template and display template(iGrid) for displaying output from transaction.
    Problem am facing is that am not able to execute my transaction after passing values to SQL query. How to get this working?
    Regards,
    Ravi Shankar

    Hi som sarkar,
    Let me explain my problem this way, let say am having SQL Fixed query and am doing some field selection based on the parameter which is been passed to the query template.
    -Checked the query template returning values, working good.
    created one Display template to display whatever been fetched by query template(iGrid).
    -Generated applet working good.
    Now if i pass the parameters from webpage to SQL query(parametes are mapped in query template) and update the grid, it should work right but its not...
    Thats what i was trying to ask you so far.

  • When/How to use - "search" parameter type in parameter like other types.

    We recently upgraded BI Publisher to 10.1.3.4. I saw new parameter type "search" in parameter section, when creating report. whats the use of it? How to use it ? like other parameter type Text, Menu,Hidden, Date.
    I couldn't find any help or release notes on this !
    Thanks
    Ayaps

    I started looking into this parameter type when our drop-down for customer numbers went from 13,000 (manageable) to 45,000 (completely unmanageable).
    I imagine this is supposed to mimic the effects of a "Long List" type LOV in Oracle Applications (as I had inquired about in [this thread|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=895521&stqc=true|Large List of Values (LoV) hangs. Is there an equivalent for a long list?]), but performance-wise, "Search" does not seem to be any more efficient that using the "Menu" type LOV. Even with the help of having a partial string with a wildcard to match, the "Search" still takes too long to pull up to be of any use to us.

    That is I try to select only the records where the field which is
    selected by user as report parameter ($P{mysortfield}) contains data
    starting with the text entered by user as a report parameter
    ($P{searchvalue}).
    When I try to run the report in iReport with active connection to the
    database the report is generated as expected.
    But when I try to run the report from Sentinel Log Manager I get the
    following error: "java.lang.String cannot be cast to
    net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRValueParameter".
    After several detailed debug sessions I finally came into a conclusion
    that this error is related to the use of parameter values (
    $P!{mysortfield} and $P!{searchvalue} ).
    I even tried using the following WHERE clause (which emulates the
    queries as used in standart reports (especially at VendorProduct related
    SQL queries ) with no success:
    Code:
    WHERE
    ($P{mysortfield} = 'evt_src_mgr_name' AND evt_src_mgr_name LIKE ($P{searchvalue} || '%')) OR
    ($P{mysortfield} = 'evt_src_collector_name' AND evt_src_collector_name LIKE ($P{searchvalue} || '%')) OR
    ($P{mysortfield} = 'evt_src_grp_name' AND evt_src_grp_name LIKE ($P{searchvalue} || '%')) OR
    ($P{mysortfield} = 'evt_src_name' AND evt_src_name LIKE ($P{searchvalue} || '%'))
    Any suggestions?

    Thank you for the suggestions:
    While trying to implement your suggestions I realized that there was a
    error at the parameter name I used inside the where clause (it should be
    $P{searchfield}).
    Here are my results:
    Code:
    vt_src_mgr_name LIKE '%' || '%'
    worked as expected.
    Code:
    $P{searchfield} LIKE '%' || '%'
    produced PDF but wrong output.
    Code:
    $P!{searchfield} LIKE '%' || '%'
    resulted with the error "java.lang.String cannot be cast to
    net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRValueParameter" and no PDF.
    Then I tried the following where clause which resulted in exactly as
    expected PDF:
    Code:
    WHERE
    ($P{searchfield} = 'evt_src_mgr_name' AND evt_src_mgr_name LIKE ($P{searchvalue} || '%')) OR
    ($P{searchfield} = 'evt_src_collector_name' AND evt_src_collector_name LIKE ($P{searchvalue} || '%')) OR
    ($P{searchfield} = 'evt_src_grp_name' AND evt_src_grp_name LIKE ($P{searchvalue} || '%')) OR
    ($P{searchfield} = 'evt_src_name' AND evt_src_name LIKE ($P{searchvalue} || '%'))
    As a summary:
    * The query which works in iRepord do not work in Sentinel Log
    Manager.
    * I found a workaround for my case.
    * I did not checked, but the reports provided in Sentinel RD which use
    the same technique for VendorProduct parameter (i.e. the reports with
    query string containing
    Code:
    LIKE ($P{VendorProduct} || '%')
    will most probably not work as expected IF Sentinel RD uses the same
    code as Sentinel Log Manager.

  • Problem to get ResultSet when it is used a Date type in the query condition

    hello ,
    I having a bit of nightmare getting a ResultSet how result of one simple Query for a table when the condition WHERE involve a Date type.
    To change the String value in a date to use in the query condition, I tried both:
    String strDate = "dd/mm/yyyy";
    (1.) java.sql.Date sqlDate = new java.sql.Date(strDate.getTime() )
    (2.) SimpleDateFormat formatter = new SimpleDateFormat(strDate) ; sqlDate = formatter.parse(strDate);
    and finally I use this code to get the ResultSet:
    sql = "SELECT * FROM myTable Where (idCli = " + cd_Cli + " And dateReg = " + sqlDate + ")";
    statement = connection.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
    resultSet = statement.executeQuery(sql);
    boolean ok = resultSet.last();
    totNumberOfRegistration = resultSet.getRow();
    But In both the cases I get a empty resultSet.
    I shoul like if someone would look my code to say me where it is the mistake...
    thank you
    tonyMrsangelo
    P.S. I tryed using PrepareStatement too to get the ResultSet, but in that case I couldn't use the ResultSet because executing the statement resultSet.last() I get the error: "Result set type is TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY"

    In a database like Oracle, you need to use a function like TO_DATE; other databases may have something similar.
    However, the proper way to do this is to use a PreparedStatement. Then you can say
    PreparedStatement ps = conn.prepareStatement("update SOMETABLE set SOME_DATE=? where SOME_ID=?");
    ps.setDate(1, new java.sql.Date(someJavaUtilDate.getTime()));
    ps.setInt(2, theId);
    ps.executeUpdate();

  • Problem with Xacute Query.

    <b>
    Hi,
    When I pass the Input parameter to the Xacute Query,It is not giving any output.I mapped the Transaction Output to the Xacute Query.
    When I ran transaction with same input parameter (transaction  property),it gave successful results.
    Also all type of Queries (SQL,Tag) are working fine.
    Message in Java Console is : "Unable to connect to the web browser."
    I am unable to debug this problem.
    Please help me towards resolving this.
    Thanks and regards,
    Suresh Hiremath
    </b>

    Hi, Suresh.
    Completely different problem.  In your case, you are copying the wrong output structure to the Transaction output in your assignment block (Sam Castro sent me your transaction).  Although you are building an xMII Document in your transaction, if you look at your assignment, you are copying the XML that is returned from the JCO action directly to your transaction output.
    For transactions that will return XML data to other xMII objects (Xacute queries, user interface objects), the format of the XML must be valid xMII format (/Rowsets/Rowset/Row), with no invalid or missing columns, etc.
    In Brian's case, while he was using /Rowsets/Rowset/Row format, it was invalid (there were columns assigned to the document, but no data values provided for those columns in the rows).
    If you fix your assignment link, you should be fine.

  • $.ajax(): what is the difference between calling a transaction and Xacute query?

    I can call either:
    $.ajax({
         type: "GET",
         url: "/XMII/Illuminator?QueryTemplate=somePathToXacute/someXacute&Content-Type=text/xml&Params...",
         dataType: "xml",
         success: function (result) {...}
    $.ajax({
         type: "GET",
         url: "/XMII/Runner?Transaction=somePathToTransaction/someTran&Content-Type=text/xml&Params...&OutputParameter=outXML",
         dataType: "xml",
         success: function (result) {...}
    When I call an Xacute query, the first execution works, but the second doesn't. I figured out that I have to add "cache:false" and then it is okay. If I use a transaction instead of Xacute query, it works with or without cache. Why is that? Transactions are not cached? Only Xacute queries?
    What is the cost difference in time if I call directly a transaction, instead of an Xacute query? What is the advantage to call an Xacute at all?
    Thx

    Hi Tibor,
    These points should clarify your doubts:
    1. Transactions are not cached but queries are.
    2. Advantage of using Xacute query is that the Illuminator service used to call Xacute query supports JSON from MII 14.0. Use content-type as text/json in the URL. But the restriction is that the transaction should return the XML in MII Rowsets-Rowset format.
    3. Though both the calls would take almost time(I think) but you should call transaction directly( no need to wrap it with Xacute query if not required).

  • Using AppleScript for launch a raw-query Spotlight search?

    As per usual with my limited scripting skills, I am finding the apparently simple stuff rather difficult to achieve.
    My problem with Spotlight is that I want to use the same type of raw query repeatedly, but I want to avoid the tedium of having to:
    1) open my saved search
    2) choose "Show Criteria" to make the saved raw query visible
    3) edit the text field containing the raw query, where the visible stuff is not what I want to edit, so I have to scroll to the right within that tiny field
    So my idea would be to design a simple UI with AppleScript that
    1) pops up a dialog asking for a phrase to search
    2) launches a Spotlight search using the raw query:
    kMDItemTextContent=="xxx*"
    where "xxx" is the phrase that I am searching for, and opens a Finder window with the results of that search.
    My reason for wanting to do this is that, by default, a search for an exact phrase with Spotlight fails to return matches that contain the plural form when the searched phrase is a singular.
    See:
    http://www.betalogue.com/2010/05/07/spotlight-plural/
    http://www.betalogue.com/2010/05/11/spotlight-phrase/
    for more information about the background for this.
    Would this be relatively easy to do with AppleScript?
    Thanks in advance.

    A smart folder is an XML file (PLIST), you can edit it in many ways.
    It's possible with other shell commands (sed or awk).
    But perl works seamlessly with extended characters (ASCII > 127)
    Also it's possible with AppleScript commands (open for access, read, write, close access), or with *property list file* in System events
    But it requires more lines of code.
    Here's the script :
    global a_text
    set smartFolder to "/Users/jack/Library/Saved Searches/Recherche dans “Bureau”.savedSearch"
    set a_text to text returned of (display dialog "Enter a phrase to search" default answer "")
    if a_text contains """ then

    set t_name to name of i
    if t_name is "RawQuery" then
    tell i to set value to my replace_text(get value)
    else if t_name is "SearchCriteria" then
    tell property list item 2 of property list item "displayValues" of property list item 1 of property list item "FXCriteriaSlices" of i to set value to my replace_text(get value)
    else if t_name is "RawQueryDict" then
    tell property list item "RawQuery" of i to set value to my replace_text(get value)
    end if
    end repeat
    end tell
    set smartFolder to ((POSIX file smartFolder) as alias)
    tell application "Finder"
    activate
    open smartFolder
    end tell
    on replace_text(t)
    set x to the offset of "kMDItemTextContent==" in t
    set L to length of t
    repeat with i from L to 1 by -1
    if character i of t = """ then
    set y to i
    exit repeat
    end if
    end repeat
    return (text 1 thru (x + 20) of t) & a_text & (text y thru -1 of t)
    end replace_text
    on findAndReplace(tofind, toreplace, t)

  • URL iView Problem - How to Use URL Parameter of Type 'User Information'

    Hello URL iView experts
    I am currently working on integration of backend-functionality with the help of an URL iView.
    I want to use a parameter of type 'User Information'. In SAP Help Library it is said, that it is possible to set the value of a parameter according to a dynamic query on the users attributes. (Link SAP HELP)
    It is also said, that one can retrieve the Logon ID of the users account.(Attribute Name: j_user -> Link SAP HELP Attributes )
    I can choose the type 'User Information' but i don't know what to specify in the field 'Value'.
    I have made a screenshot of the problem.->[Link to screenshot|http://img66.imageshack.us/img66/7782/urliviewproblemfrsdnthrel3.jpg]
    But if i am calling the application this way, he doesn't retrieve the Logon-ID of the account, but he just uses the 'j_user' as value for the parameter.
    Can you tell me, what i need to specify in the field value?

    Edited by: Marcus Böhm on Jun 2, 2008 1:22 PM

    Hi Marcus,
    > It is also said, that one can retrieve the Logon ID of the users account
    This is not correct; on the help.sap.com-page concerning the URL-iView-Parameters, it is printed that "other attributes (general, account, group, role) are not supported". The j_user attribute is part of the account group, so - not supported.
    For your needs, it may be a better choose to use the AppIntegrator, which offers such a possibility by using "<User.LogonUid>"; see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/36/5e3842134bad04e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm and https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0cbc309-ff89-2a10-8bad-bcde4c152ecb

  • HR Create Standalone Query Integrator - LOV as parameter type?

    Hi
    Our customer wants to download data from a view with filters on various fields. We accomplished this using a download integrator and created restrictions via Standalone Query with various where clause parameters to the view(using HR Create Standalone Query Integrator). While this addressed customer's requirement they are seeing lot of users entering wrong data for the parameter value and causing bad SQLs hitting the database. Customer wants to make sure they dont let end users enter the wrong values in the run time parameter and requesting to make the parameter prompt value to be a LOV type where they are forced to choose one of the valid value.
    Example:
    Integrator Name - AP_INVOICE
    SQL Where Clause – where invoice_type=$PARAM$.invoice_type
    1st Parameter Name – invoice_type
    1st Parameter Type – Varchar2
    1st Parameter Prompt– Invoice Type Equals
    Customer wants this Invoice type parameter values to be shown in a drop down list so that end user is forced to pick the valid value and download the data. How to accomplish this? Appreciate your guidance.
    Thank you.

  • I have 10 UiWebView to load different charts and maps on an iPad,using UIScrollView to scroll through each page, problem is on loading of each UiWebView my UiScrollView does not scroll smoothly to other pages horizontally,so how to make the scroll smooth?

    I have 8-10 UiWebView's  to load different charts and maps on an iPad, i am using UIScrollView to scroll through each page, problem is while loading of each UiWebView my UiScrollView does not scroll smoothly to other pages horizontally, my query is can i load UiWebView on background and how to make sure the scoll of pages is smooth, even though the loading of UiWebViews may take time.
    Note :i have tried disabled scrolling on webview, so when i scroll on the page  the scroll event will be of UiScrollView, so believe no conflict with UiWebView.
    also in ios 6 i read about suppressesIncrementalRendering = True but i want to support ios5, also as UiWebViews are said to be running on main thread by default, i suspect when loading of webViews and when user tries to scroll the page, the main thread is busy, but i want the scroll of the page to be smooth  even though the loading of UiWebViews may take time.

    You will probably get a faster and more accurate answer if
    you repost in the Developers Forum.

  • Can a single quote be used at the beginning of a query string parameter

    Hi all,
    I am a relative newbie and have a newbie question.
    Can a single quote be used at the beginning of a query string parameter passed to a jsp page? Are there any inherant problems with this? Is there a comprehensive list of characters that must be escaped in a query string parameter?
    Example: http://mysite.com/myjsp.jsp?param1='nghdh
    Thanks

    You'll have to escape most non-letter characters before you can pass them as a URL. I don't know if it's necessary for a single quote, but better safe than sorry.
    Either use java.net.URLEncoder(...) or use javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse.encodeURL(String). I wouldn't recommend using unescaped characters in your URLs, that might cause pretty funny behavior that's sometimes hard to trace back. Don't worry about decoding it, your JSP/Servlet container will do it when you call javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest.getParameter(String).

  • Is it possible to use parameter in a user query with subquery ?

    Hi ,
    i need to use parameter ( [%0] ) in user query using a subquery , but i have errors message when i execute the query
    example :
    SELECT T0.[DocNum] as docnum, T0.[DocTotal] as cde , 0 as fact FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode]  =N'[%0]'
    union all
    SELECT T0.[DocNum], 0 as cde,T0.[DocTotal] as fact FROM OINV T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode]  =N'[%0]'
    works fine
    but ( exactly the same query in the subquery )
    Select t2.Docnum ,t2.cde , t2.fact from
    SELECT T0.[DocNum] as docnum, T0.[DocTotal] as cde , 0 as fact FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode]  =N'[%0]'
    union all
    SELECT T0.[DocNum], 0 as cde,T0.[DocTotal] as fact FROM OINV T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode]  =N'[%0]'
    ) t2
    return an error message
    the same query without parameter works fine too :
    Select Docnum ,cde , fact from
    SELECT T0.[DocNum] as docnum, T0.[DocTotal] as cde , 0 as fact FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode]  ='C1'
    union all
    SELECT T0.[DocNum], 0 as cde,T0.[DocTotal] as fact FROM OINV T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode]  ='C1'
    ) t2
    Is it possible to use parameter in a subquery ?
    thanks

    Try this one:
    declare @cc nvarchar(20)
    set @cc=/*Select c.cardcode from OCRD c where c.cardcode=*/'[%0]'
    Select Docnum ,cde , fact from
    SELECT T0.[DocNum] as docnum, T0.[DocTotal] as cde , 0 as fact FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode]  =@cc
    union all
    SELECT T0.[DocNum], 0 as cde,T0.[DocTotal] as fact FROM OINV T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode]  =@cc
    ) t2

  • Problem using different Map key types in one class

    I'm running Kodo 2.3.3. It seems I can only have one Map key types for all
    maps in a class. For example, if I have two maps in a class, their keys
    must be of the same type.
    Is there a plan to remove this limitation soon?
    Thanks,

    Kodo should generate a separate table for each Map. We have internal tests
