Using MEREQ001 u2013 Checking error for data in customer data tab.

Hi Guys,
I have implemented MEREQ001 enhancement to add custom field in CUSTOMER DATA tab at item level. I want to validate the custom fields for error and display RED dot in front of the line item number when user press SAVE button.
I am using EXIT_SAPLMEREQ_005 for validating the custom field when user press SAVE button.
Is this the correct exit for this requirement.
Can somebody share to code to display the RED dot in front of the line item which has error in custom fields?
Thanks in advance.

I think it's right
U need to tranfer the message to exporting parameter or raise an error message

  • MDM 5.5 SP02 Error during import of Customer Data

    Hello,
    I am a beginner in MDM 5.5.
    I tried to import the customer data via the import manager. I got the error message:
    <b>" E1KNA1M wasn't found in the source "</b>
    What's wrong with this repository ? I used the DEBMDM06 for extraction out of an R/3 4.7. The XML-file includes this segment !
    Can someone help me ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Michael

    Ronen,
    Thanks for quick response.
    Let me fill you in with the my environment info. I am using MDM SP 02 with SQL Server on Windows XP.
    I am following the SAP NetWeaver MDM 5.5 SP02
    Scenario Configuration Guide to import customer Data from R/3 to MDM repository via XI, idoc.
    According to guide I was able to extract the Customer data from R/3, and using XI (and FTP) I was able to get the data file customer.dat (which is in XML format).
    In console I tried to setup the client system as a you specified, but here is what I see in my MDM console
    Name: MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
    Code: MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
    Client System:  Import [ for this field it shows me Import, Export, Import/Export options only and not the inbound/outbound as you specified]. If I select option Import then only it will show this Client System while defining the Port.
    For port definition it shows following fields
    [Port]
    Name : R3Import
    Code : R3Import
    Type : Inbound
    Data Definition:  [ dropdown options are Access, Excel, XML, Flat Text, XML Schema. Were you referring this field as the 'Format' field.]
    XML Schema: I selected DEBMDM05 from dropdown.
    Client System : MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
    Map:  [ dropdown does not have any values to select and I can not type in that field]
    If you are still with me, what are the correct settings for Client system and port?
    How those settings are being used in Import Manager?
    On Connect to Source dialogue screen what should I select/enter for following fields?
    Type :  [options are Access, Excel, ODBC, Oracle, Port, SQL Server, XML, XML Schema]
    Should I be using Client System and Port or  XML/XML Schema????
    Client System: MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
    Port :  [ Why this value 'R3Import' is grayed out??? ]
    Please help.

  • Can I use one Business Partner repository for Vendor and Customer?

    Can I use one Business Partner repository for Vendor and Customer? or do we have to use Vendor and Customer Repository separately. How can we do that? What are the pros and cons? can any one provide some examples:

    Hi Deepak
    The key purpose of SAP "enabling" the facility of multiple main tables in a repository is to primarily "manage" those master data objects that are related to each other. Typical examples will be a) Customer - Material, b) Supplier - Material, etc.
    While, it is pretty easy to add multiple main tables in a repository, it is also important to understand the purpose of doing so based on the business requirements.
    Besides, you got to be aware that in case you are "fixing" any issues with one main table (master data object) for which you have to unload the repository, the users will not be able to use the repository that has a main table defined for other master data object. Hence, there are pros and cons of using this capability of multiple main tables.
    So, it is really important to understand the "W's" - What, Why, When, Where, Who of Data modeling before actually working on the "H" - How to in the SAP MDM tool.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Neelesh

  • There used to be a extension for Safari called "close all tabs". It is no longer on the extension list. Does anybody know why it was removed?

    There used to be a extension for Safari called "close all tabs". It is no longer on the extension list. Does anybody know why it was removed?

    Mr. Davis answer is essentially what that extension did.  I thank Mr. Davis for this answer as I was not aware of this method.  I only brought this up becasue in Lion there is a nasty habit of Safari opening all previous tabs that where not closed when shuting down the computer.  This can cause a long delay in opening Safari becasue of all the tabs opening up.  The "close all tabs" exstension stopped all this opening process.  I have to assume that Apple replaced the extension with the process that Mr. Davis describes, however, the extension was a lot faster. By the way, I have this extension still and I still use it. I just wanted to pass it on to some other users, but guess I will have to give up on that idea.

    plz help me
    mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
    The message number 398 of message class 00 has four place holder, which means its expecting you to pass 4 values in message statement. It seems you are pass just one parameter after TWITH .
    You can either pass SPACE for rest of parameters as
    MESSAGE s398(00) WITH 'TEST' space space space.
    or you can hide the message with "#EC *
    MESSAGE s398(00) WITH 'TEST' .                              "#EC *

  • Using FIFO as sql code for assigning indicator to data items

    Hi All,
    We are looking for a solution based on FIFO algorithm. We have a table having following data:
    We need to perform FIFO on this table, and assign "object" as data items to other rows based on following conditions:
    1. first we have to group the rows based on "object" column
    2. then we have to traverse each group from the row having  minimum start time of the object group e.g: row id 1 for object group for "19O"
    2.1 Assign a "EqpREf" as "object" + <an integer value> , where integer value changes when the start and end chain finishes. Start -end chain is explained in step 2.2
    2.2 then we have to pick the "nextstarttime" of the picked row and compare it against the closest "starttime" of the rows having "start" as same as "end" of the same row we are
    picking for "nextstarttime" e.g: row id 2 of object 19O is having "nextstarttime" 0310 closest to "starttime" 0355 of row id 2 of object 19O , and rowid 2 is having "start" AAL which is similar to "end" of
    rowid 1
    2.3 We have to perform this chain till we find end of same and allocate each row in a chain same "Eqpref"
    hence the output we need to generate will come as:
    Kindly help on same.
    Thanks in advance

    What we are doing here is generating a schedule for Trains departures.
    here, we should identify the train schedules making a chain of stations considering the endstation of a train engine no should be startstation of another record for same engineno. also the starttime of engineno should be nearest of nextstarttime
    of same station.
    for example : if we pick Ist row "SGC-IXP", nextstarttime for same is "02:00:00 am". this means train departed from SGC will reach to IXP and is available for departure from IXP after "02:00:00 am". So we have to consider
    the record having startstation as IXP and nearest starttime to nextstarttime ("02:00:00"). So the next train departure would be IXP-DFW having starttime as "03:30:00 am".
    here you can see we have to assign the scheduleno of previously considered record to the chained schedule so we have updated the "schedule_ref" as 101. Also we have to assign the engine no - <counter of integer> to a single chain on schedule
    given in engine_ref.

  • How to debug a Diagnostic Data Adapter (custom data collector) for Microsoft Test Manager

    Hello,
    I have created a custom Diagnostic Data Adapter aka. custom data collector for Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) and installed it, all according to the guidelines under  Creating
    a Diagnostic Data Adapter to Collect Custom Data or Affect a Test Machine.
    I would like to debug my data collector. On which machine should I perform the debugging and to which process should I attach from Visual Studio? Are there any restrictions regarding the user who is running the debug session?
    How can I do that?
    Thank you ,
    Ana

    It seems that I found the solution, but I would like someone still to verify if it is the right one.
    Steps:
    Turn on "Microsoft Symbol Server" under In Tools-->Options-->Debugging
    Restart manually "Visual Studio Lab Agent Service" on the machine where the collector is installed (this actionautomatically restarts the  Visual Studio Test Agent ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\QTAgentService.exe"))
    Load code for your collector in Visual Studio
    Attach the Visual Studio debugger to the processes QTAgentService.exe and QTDCAgent32.exe
    Start test in MTM on client machine using test setting which trigger the data collector (diagnostic data adapter)
    and finally hit a brake point in your code...
    Thank you,
    Ana

    Hi, The present project has the requirement to Delete the data from Sales Force objects.Have following set up: 1. Parent Objects2. Child Objects3. Cloud Data Synchronization tasks to delete these objects Parent and Child have LOOKUP relationships between them.Deleing data from Child objects did not give any error. Tried 2 scenarios to delete data from Parent object: Scenario 1: Tried to delete to data from PARENT first before deleting CHILD.                  Result: Failed Scenario 2: Tried to delete to data from PARENT after deleting CHILD.                  Result: Failed Error mesge received in both cases: "Error loading into target [SF_Object] : Error received from salesforce.com. • Extended program check error for cl_salv_table= factory

    hi all,
    when performing Extended Program check, I am getting some warning message
    code
        DATA: lc_msg TYPE REF TO cx_salv_msg.

      TRY.
          CALL METHOD cl_salv_table=>factory
            IMPORTING

            CHANGING
              t_table      = ts_z3rl_docket.
        CATCH cx_salv_msg INTO lc_msg .
      ENDTRY.
    Error message;
    No Exception Handling After the CATCH Statement
    (The message can be hidden with "#EC NO_HANDLER)
    how to handle this message?? how to recitfy this?
    kindly help

    Basically, this message appears because, you are trying to CATCH the exception in the exception object, but you are not accessing this exception object. If you do want to give the  message, if you catch some exception, you should do like this:
    *. Create Instance for ALV
    TRY.
      CALL METHOD cl_salv_table=>factory
        IMPORTING
           r_salv_table = go_alv
        CHANGING
          t_table = ts_z3rl_docket.
      CATCH cx_salv_msg INTO lc_msg .
         lv_string = lc_msg->get_text( ).   " <
         message lv_string type 'I'.  "<
    ENDTRY.
    Or, if you don't want to handle the exception, you can do like this:
    TRY.
      CALL METHOD cl_salv_table=>factory
         IMPORTING
           r_salv_table = go_alv
         CHANGING
           t_table = ts_z3rl_docket.
      CATCH cx_salv_msg.      "#EC NO_HANDLER
    ENDTRY.

  • XML-Export Error for large amount of data

    Hi there...
    I have an application process, which runs on demand (Button) and which exports data (from sql query) into a file (.xls).
    The result is being formated and the export works fine as long as the query returns just a small amount of data, approx. 8 to 10 rows.
    As the result is being stored in a clob, I output the data with "htp.prn" in a loop by "cutting" the clob into small pieces (varchar).
    However, as soon as the amount is bigger than the mentioned 8 to 10 rows, I get an error (sqlerrm:ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error).
    I guess there must be something wrong with my loop or the way I "cut" the clob into pieces and output them.
    Maybe someone has a hint for me where to look at exactly!?
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi;
    Trying to install 11gR2 on a Desktop PC with Debian 'squeeze' (ver. 6) OS . Installed all required packages suggested. However, am now stopped at the Prerequisite Checks mainly because all the package versions listed as errors (29 packages) are more current than those require by the install. I was hoping not to go back, download and install older versions of the packages. Is there a way to bypass these errors?Debian is not supported, its mean you could hit many error message during installation and also after installation, i suggest use OEL distro(free) instead of Debian

    long fib = 1;

    Hi,
    As per your question:
    message:Make sure that the English language pack is installed on your operating system so that your support requests can be handled quickly.
    I am sure your English Language Pack is already Installed in your Server,So you have to IGNORE the message and move forward
    with your Diagnostic Agent Installation.
