Using names passed to -ComputerName in the output

Hey guys,
Would you be able to help me? When I use the -ComputerName switch in a cmdlet, or function, I get the results as expected. For example:
Get-Service -ComputerName server1, server2 -Name myservice*
Status Name DisplayName
Running MyService... MyService.WindowsService1
Running MyService... MyService.WindowsService2
Running MyService... MyService.WindowsService3
Running MyService... MyService.WindowsService1
Running MyService... MyService.WindowsService2
Stopped MyService... MyService.WindowsService3
That’s fine for me at the time. However if I want to automatically email the results, they’re worthless. Is there a clean way to get the output to include the targeted server’s name (maybe in the table’s 1<sup>st</sup> column)?

How to pass tag name and value dynamically in the output of PCo notification?

Hi,
I have a requirement to develop such a scenario where there can be multiple no of tags in PCo (Say 10) but there will be single notification to push the tag name when the value got changed and the changed value to MII. for any value change for any of the tag, the notification will be trigger. So As per my knowledge I have to pass the tag name and value dynamically in the "output" tab of the notification. But need your support to find out how to pass them dynamically.

Hi Suman/Jeedesh,
As per Pco notification, it will trigger whenever any of the tag value changes in Agent instance subscription items.
For above issue, My suggestion
1. Create DB table name TAGLIST with 200 tags as rows in columns (Tagname, TagValue)
2. Based on notification trigger, create a transaction and update values w.r.t TagNames in above table
3. Next time, when notification trigger with fresh value for any of the tag, cross check with existing TagName with Value and update in DB table.
4. And in the mean time, send those Tag details vie mail trigger or as per requirement
Instead of creating 200 notification, above is a just alternate way suggestion to achieve dynamic tag value change notification.

JSF OutOfMemory Error when use ResponseWriter - how can I stream the output

I am trying to output a large quantity of data and would like to stream the output in chunks. ResponseWriter writes the data into memory and then renders all the content of the response in one pass. Flush() does not change this behavior. Is there some way I can bypass this in JSF to stream the output in chunks?

SSH to network devices using "name" or "IP" - What is the industry norm?

Hi Everyone,
Looking for anyone to provide feedback on the "Industry Norm" for accessing network devices, by DNS Name or IP? If anyone has any opinions or information about this I would certainly appreciate the information. I use name, which I have been told "is not the industry norm" so obviously I would like some level of validation on comment.

I'd most definitely consider it the norm!
I’ve worked in both pure tech companies and in tech teams in the banking industry and we’ve always had some form of name resolution for our devices. Normally using internal DNS but worse case scenario is a hosts file on the NMS.
Trying to retain IP addresses for anything more than a handful of devices is just tiresome, especially if you are in a fault situation. I think most network teams out there with the support of some decent network management infrastructure or experience would consider it vital and take it for granted.
Having said that, I’m a little pedantic when it comes to name resolution and have forward and reverse resolution for almost every numbered interface in our (not insubstantial) network, it makes traceroutes all the more powerful.

I used to be able to change the output to mono regardless of the input I used. Is this still possible in Garageband 10?

I have several speeches recorded in Garageband. I mistakenly created the tracks as two input tracks, but in reality, they were only mono. Previously in Garageband, one could select the inputs for a track even after it was recorded, thus changing a two input/stereo recording into a mono. Now, I do not see that setting at all. I do see the two circles next to the track title on the track itself, but nowhere does it allow me to make a change. Does anyone know whether I can select the inputs for a track after it has been recorded? The Inspector has many different effects, but I am admittedly overwhelmed by the number of them in this case and have not seen one that permits the kind of adjustment I want to make.
Any ideas? (i would rather not have to do something like input them into iTunes in order to manipulate them which I hear might work but is not what I would call an elegant solution to the problem)

Almost immediately after I asked the question, I tried one more option. I created a new track with only one input. I copied my two input track into it and suddenly it was heard in both channels as if it was a mono recording. It did not make any difference which input I had used to record it originally, I tested adding a track with Input 1 and then Input 2 and both behaved the same way.
I realize there may be other ways to do this. Feel fee to add your input.

RoboHelp HTML 11 - If I publish using a responsive HTML5 layout, will the output be available to users who want to view it offline? Or does it require an internet connection and a browser to view?

I am writing help content for software that has two essential components - one web-based and the other a locally installed app (our users work in both). I need the help documentation to be available from both and I wanted to use the new responsive HTML5 layout to make it accessible from a PC, tablet or smartphone while publishing from a single source, but the locally installed app allows users to work offline so I need the help to also be accessible when a user works offline. Is this covered with responsive HTML5 publishing or do i need to publish the documentation to an application help viewer as well?
I apologize if there is an obvious answer to this. I am new to this and I have already checked the RoboHelp user guide and the FAQ and forum to try and find the answer.

While I agree with Jeff that CHM is a bit long in the tooth, it's still extremely viable. The only real issue with it is that it's PC only. Specifically, Microsoft Windows PC only. So that rules out Android and other platforms.
Yeah, HTML 5 is like the cool new kid on the block that doesn't play by the regular rules. But also like that same kid, it is a bit unpredictable. If it were me, I'd maybe experiment with WebHelp. ESPECIALLY if you have a fondness for customizing the look and feel of things. WebHelp customizations are so much easier to implement than the HTML 5 stuff in RoboHelp. I'd rather be forced to stick red hot needles into my eye sockets than to have to deal with that type of customization in RoboHelp. Not to mention needing to have a really good grasp of CSS and HTML 5 coding as well as RoboHelp Widgets. There are probably fewer than ten folks on this planet that can easily handle this.

It could simply be that you set (or neglected to set) the default properties of your Form's window the enable these buttons. More than likely, the APPS procedure is setting them. It's been too long since I worked with the EBS to say for certain. You really should ask your question in the General EBS Discussion forum.

Clearing of ALV output is not happening in one side of the output.

Hi All,
I have created a simple upload program and using a Post button I am posting the Material Document. I have uploaded the file, I am using a ALV splitter to display the output ( Line Item in left panel and Message log in the right panel).
If I upload another Excel file on the same screen, and click on 'Upload' button, left panel is getting refreshed with new set of line items whereas in the Right Panel Message Log details of First uploaded file is present, it is not getting refreshed.
I used Free(), Refresh and Refresh_Table_dsiplay keywords to clear it, but its not working.
In debug mode, If I see the internal table which is used to store the Message Log Details is empty, but the message is still present in the ALV output for newly uploaded file.
Kindly give your valuable inputs.

have you tried to cl_gui_cfw=>flush after your Refresh_Table_Display?
Also,when you write ALV splitter, did you use easy-splitter or the regular splitter container?
You ran the methods against the correct instance, right

Application crashes when using @NAME

I have figured out that the application fails on its first call to the native methods.
So I have this Bitmap class that contains all the native calls and it is defined shortly as follow:

There are many more native methods defined in Bitmap, but I only show the setDebug method because that is the first one that is executed and also the one that immediately fails.

My libBitmapImpl.so file is compiled using the following Makefile and using GNU gcc:

It is still a total mystory why the application fails. I have tried it on a RedHat Linux machine and there it works fine. But not on Solaris. Only if I use the jdk1.1.8 but not a later one.
