Using non public callable API

Hello All,
I had a post before about using work incident API but nobody responded to me. Here is the link:
https://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=10458788#10458788
Any way, I found out how should I find the incident reference . Actually, the incident reference is getting generated from the system and how the system does generate that is, it calls a non public callable api. Now for my procedure I want to try to call that non public api, and here is just the test code but I get this error:
Error(5,2): PLS-00221: 'GET_OSHA_CASE_NUMBER' is not a procedure or is undefined
my code is:
create or replace
PROCEDURE INCIDENT_REFERENCE
AUTHID CURRENT_USER AS
begin
APPS_APPLMGR.per_inc_bus.get_osha_case_number (to_date('01-OCT-03 22:39:04'), 0);
end;
Could you please advise me how I can call this api? Or is there any code that I need to use before calling it.
Thanks,

Error(5,2): PLS-00221: 'GET_OSHA_CASE_NUMBER' is not a procedure or is undefinedThis means one of 2 things:
a) you are calling a function as a procedure
b) you are calling a procedure that does not exist
From the code unit's name, it would seem that this is a function - not a procedure. The get in the name implies a getter code unit (as oppose to a setter). Getters are typically functions.
E.g.:
create or replace procedure FooProc authid current user is
caseNumber  number;
begin
  caseNumber := APPS_APPLMGR.per_inc_bus.get_osha_case_number ( sysdate, 0 );
  .. do something with number..
end;

  • Apps that use non-public APIs will be rejected

    Hi guys
    Just reading the iOS guidelines before I get too deep into making the native version of a web app.
    I was wondering what:
    Apps that use non-public APIs will be rejected
    means when submitting an app made in AIR - does it mean you can't use your own custom classes?
    Cheers

    If you mean custom AS3 classes, yes you can use those. What you can't do is create an ANE that calls into the private frameworks of iOS itself.

  • How to use the Public Java API

    Is it possible to use the Public Java API to write a custom transformation in Java and use this in OWB. i.e. Say I have a Dateofbirth field in my source database and an Agegroup field in the target database, and I write a transformation in Java to take the Dateofbirth as an input parameter to the method and calculate the Agegroup e.g. 25-30, and return it from this method which then populates the Agegroup field in the target database. If so, how do I go about this?

    Martin,
    In general, yes you could... but you do not need to. You could use the UI to implement this requirement. The public Java API is there for you to manipulate metadata. How you implement your system, is independent of that.
    The way you would go about the case you just mentioned... you would write the Java code, deploy it into the database, wrap it in a PL/SQL procedure or function, and call it from OWB.
    Would this be a good idea...? I think no. Unless you have very complicated calculations that can only be performed in Java, I strongly encourage you use the PL/SQL language. Reason being: transformation will be much faster, because there is no need to translate PL/SQL into Java and back again.
    Hope this helps,
    Mark.

  • How to make page public / non public with api

    I need to turn some pages to be public or non-public (the same as the tick box on the access page) using plsql. But the API's wwsec_api.set_user_acl or wwsec_api.set_group_acl do not seem to work for public. How can I a page public or non public using plsql.

    supported solution for doing this is using wwsbr_api.modify_folder(p_page => p_page);
    (from version 10.1.4)
    you should have something like this
    SELECT *
    INTO r_page
    FROM wwv_user_corners
    WHERE siteid = p_pgrid
    AND id = p_pageID
    AND language = p_portal_lang;
    r_page.ispublic := 1;
    wwsbr_api.modify_folder(p_page => p_page);

  • App rejected due to non-public api's

    Hi,
              My App rejected due to non-public api's.
    Apple's Comments:
    2.5: Apps that use non-public
                                      "We found that your app uses one or more non-public APIs, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. The use of non-public APIs is not permissible because it can lead to a poor user experience should these APIs change.
    We found the following non-public API/s in your app:
    _updateView (I have the method name like "_updateView" in my source, can I change the name of the method. Is it works ? )
    If you have defined methods in your source code with the same names as the above-mentioned APIs, we suggest altering your method names so that they no longer collide with Apple's private APIs to avoid your application being flagged in future submissions.
    Additionally, one or more of the above-mentioned APIs may reside in a static library included with your application. If you do not have access to the library's source, you may be able to search the compiled binary using "strings" or "otool" command line tools. The "strings" tool can output a list of the methods that the library calls and "otool -ov" will output the Objective-C class structures and their defined methods. These techniques can help you narrow down where the problematic code resides."
                                    And in my application, I am using the FBConnect, SDWebImage library,  and Twitter+oAuth api's. These are non-public api's ? Now, can I integrate Jira (Crash Reporter) to my application? Can anybody solve my issue......
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rajesh Kumar Yandamuri

    I have the same problem what to do with below points from the apple.
    Requires help plz help me my app rejected two times with this points.
    We found that your app uses one or more non-public APIs, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. The use of non-public APIs is not permissible because it can lead to a poor user experience should these APIs change.

    We appreciate that you may have made the precautions in your code for using non-public APIs, however, there is no way to accurately or completely predict how an API may be modified and what effects those modifications may have. For this reason, we do not permit the use of non-public APIs in App Store apps.
    If there are no alternatives for providing the functionality your app requires, we encourage you to file an enhancement request. Or, try working with the Apple Developer Technical Support team to explore alternative solutions.
    On occasion, there may be apps on the App Store that don't appear to be in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. We work hard to ensure that the apps on the App Store are in compliance and we try to identify any apps currently on the App Store that may not be. It takes time to identify these occurrences but another app being out of compliance is not a reason for your app to be.
    For discrete code-level questions, you may wish to consult with Apple Developer Technical Support. Please be sure to:
    - include the complete details of your rejection issues
    - prepare any symbolicated crash logs, screenshots, and steps to reproduce the issues for when the DTS engineer follows up.
    For information on how to symbolicate and read a crash log, please see Tech Note TN2151 Understanding and Analyzing iPhone OS Application Crash Reports.
    If you have difficulty reproducing this issue, please try testing the workflow as described in  <https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/qa/qa1764/>Testing Workflow with Xcode's Archive feature".

  • Windows Azure Pack - Server returned HTTP response code: 500 error while accessing the public tenant API

    Hi,
    We are facing the following error while trying to access the given Windows Azure Pack Public tenant API to query the virtual machines list along with network adaper details -
    java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL: https://<hostname>:30006/<subscription-id>/services/systemcenter/vmm/VirtualMachines?$expand=VirtualNetworkAdapters&$top=10000&$skip=0
    The response is proper when we access the following URL -
    https://<hostname>:30006/<subscription-id>/services/systemcenter/vmm/VirtualMachines
    Only on adding the $expand=VirtualNetworkAdapters, url parameter we are getting the above error.
    Where can we check for the error logs on the Azure Pack server ? We checked for the logs using Windows Event Viewer but did not find any for the public tenant API.
    What should be the cause for such an error and how can we fix this to get the proper data?
    Thanks in advance.

    Yes, we tried this, $top=10&$skip=0 works for the following url
    https://<hostname>:30006/<subscription-id>/services/systemcenter/vmm/VirtualMachines?$top=10&$skip=0
    It is only when we add $expand=VirtualNetworkAdapters,
    the server returns the mentioned error response -
    URL for which the server returns the 500 error -
    https://<hostname>:30006/<subscription-id>/services/systemcenter/vmm/VirtualMachines?$expand=VirtualNetworkAdapters&$top=10&$skip=0
    Can
    you point to the error logs for Windows Azure Pack and SPF ?

  • AutoSize not working properly in TextField when using non-zero line spacing

    When using non-zero line spacing, the autoSize property is not functioning as expected, causing text fields to scroll that shouldn't.  Also, when using device fonts, the sizes of the TextFields are wrong in the Flash IDE.
    I have a TextField whose height is supposed to be dynamic, depending the width of the TextField.  wordWrap is true, the text is left aligned, and the autoSize value is flash.text.TextFieldAutoSize.LEFT.
    When the TextField's width is adjusted, the height increases or decreases as expected, but when I scroll the mouse wheel over the TextField, it allows a single line to scroll out of view.  This should not be happening.  The autoSize property should ensure the TextField is large enough to neither require nor allow scrolling.
    Has anyone else encountered this issue or know how to fix it?
    Update: Been a problem since at least 2006! > http://blog.nthsense.net/?p=46
    http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?288955-Disabling-textfield-scrolling   Bug is caused by using a line height ("line spacing" in Flash) larger than zero, for example 1.0pt.  It looks like when I reduce the line spacing of the text field to zero, the issue goes away.  There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with how autoSize is calculating the required height of the text (i.e. it is exactly textHeight + 4 pixel gutter, and drawing the rectangle (2,2,textWidth,textHeight) aligns visually with the text), so it must have to do with how the TextField is deciding whether it needs to scroll or not, and that separate calculation is being thrown off by the non-zero line spacing.  The additional non-zero spacing at the end of the last line could be making the TextField think it needs to scroll, even though it's hight is sufficient at "textHeight + 4".  Apparently the problem manifests when using a non-zero leading value as well.
    In fact, it has to be related to the leading value exactly, since the following code stops the textfield from scrolling.
    //body is TextField
    var tlm:TextLineMetrics = body.getLineMetrics(body.numLines - 1);
    trace(tlm.leading); //traces "1" here.  traces zero when line spacing is zero, and traces larger values with larger line spacing values
    body.autoSize = flash.text.TextFieldAutoSize.NONE; //turn off autosize so the height can be set manually
    body.height += tlm.leading; //increase height of textfield by leading value of last line to cause scrolling to be turned off.
    Honestly, this is pretty unacceptable bug.  First of all, scrolling should not be sensitive to trailing line spacing, because autoSize and textHeight do not include it. It need to be consistent, and I think textHeight and autoSize setting height = textHeight + 4 is correct.  Vertical scrolling should use textHeight as it's guage for whether scrolling is necessary, but instead, it's obviously involving the leading values of the last line.  At the very least, vertical scrolling should simply be disabled when autoSize is turned on and wordWrap is true, because the TextField should be big enough to fit all the text.  The workaround of manually adjusting the height is also no good, since turning autoSize back on will immediately change the size back and trigger scrolling again.  I also shouldn't have to set line spacing to zero just to use the autoSize feature, since the scrolling calculations are wrong in this way.

    No, lol.  Luckly, I replace most of my TextFields on the display list with my subclass TextFieldEx.  I just call a clone method that accepts a TextField and returns a TextFieldEx with identical properties.
    I corrected the problem via modifying the subclass to behave differently when autoSize is not NONE and wordWrap is true.  Under those conditions, the maxScrollV and scrollV property values are fixed at 1, and the class listens for its own SCROLL event and sets scrollV to 1 when it occurs.  That allows me to leave everything else alone, including text selection, and use whatever line spacing I want.
    The modification seems to work fine so far.
    For anyone interested in doing something similar, here is a clone method that will copy a TextField.
    public static function clone( t:TextField ):TextFieldEx
                                  var te:TextFieldEx = create( "", t.width, t.type, t.multiline, t.wordWrap, t.selectable, t.embedFonts, t.defaultTextFormat );
                                  te.alpha = t.alpha;
                                  te.alwaysShowSelection = t.alwaysShowSelection;
                                  te.antiAliasType = t.antiAliasType;
                                  te.autoSize = t.autoSize;
                                  te.background = t.background;
                                  te.backgroundColor = t.backgroundColor;
                                  te.blendMode = t.blendMode;
                                  //te.blendShader = t.blendShader;
                                  te.border = t.border;
                                  te.borderColor = t.borderColor;
                                  te.cacheAsBitmap = t.cacheAsBitmap;
                                  te.condenseWhite = t.condenseWhite;

  • Are there non-public classes in Java SDK?

    Or are ALL classes in all packages of the Java SDK public?
    I have looked in the sources spot checking and didn't find a non public (default) class.
    If all classes are public, why?
    There exists a means in Java language to define a class as default ("class MyClass" instead of "public class MyClass") visibility. So why isn't it used by Java SDK (if this is really true)?

    I dont know what language you're programming in.
    If you don't specify
    public class
    or
    private class
    the class is "protected".
    Read the spec.If you read the spec, you'll see that, with respect to a class:
    (per section 6.6.2) Classes from outside the package the class lives in that extend the class have access to protected members.
    (per section 6.6.5) Classes from outside the package this thing lives in that extend this class do not have access to default members.
    Relevant part of section 6.6.5 (Example: Default-Access Fields, Methods, and Constructors) is:
    If none of the access modifiers public, protected, or private are specified, a class member or constructor is accessible throughout the package that contains the declaration of the class in which the class member is declared, but the class member or constructor is not accessible in any other package.
    This is default access, not protected access

  • Jax-ws 2.2.8 and ws-addressing: Client throwing java.lang.NullPointerException on receipt of HTTP 202 when using non-anonymous ReplyTo address

    Server: JBoss EAP 6.2.0
    Client: JDK 1.7.0_51 x64
    JAX-WS: RI 2.2.8 ( via -Djava.endorsed.dirs )
    I am getting a java.lang.NullPointerException when calling the operation on the WS endpoint from the client when using non-anonymous replyTo address.
    I have simplified the scenario into a small test case that hopefully others can replicate. Since the exception is happening on the client instead of the server, I would think that the container used is irrelevant, but I have specified it nonetheless.

    In summary:
    Server is listening on port 8080
    Client will listen in port 8082 for the callback from the server for the SOAP response
    Now when I run the client, I see that the proper behaviour as far as ws-addressing is concerned. That is:
    client  -- SOAP request ( on port 8080 ) --> server
    client <-- HTTP 202 ( empty HTTP body )  --- server
    client <-- SOAP response ( on port 8082 )  --- server
    All well and good, except that I am getting a NullPointerException on the client side when I call the operation.
    With debugging of the SOAP request and responses, I get the following output:

    Any ideas ?

    I think I have found when I get this error and probably I have found a bug. I will appreciate if someone can confirm this.
    In my BPEL project setup, my BPEL process's wsdl file imports another wsdl from different namespace. Here is sample snippet -
    <wsdl:definitions targetNamespace="http://namespace/1">
    <wsdl:import namespace="http://namespace/2" location="resources/another.wsdl"/>
    <plnk:partnerLinkType....../>
    </wsdl:definitions>
    Please let me know. I checked the bundled samples with Oracle BPEL PM and did not find any similar case where process wsdl imports another wsdl.
    Thank you.

  • Isakmp peers using non-standard port 4500

    Hello,
    I have a remote site using the Internet to access corporate networks over IPSEC. Set-up is as below:
    Remote Router uses public IP across internet --> hits corporate untrusted nework FW --> NAT'ed to private 10.x.x.x IP --> reaches trusted network router.
    The problem is that the peer keeps hanging and the only way to reset it is to issue 'clear crypto session' on the central trusted router. I have added isakmp keepalives with the aim of forcing some keepalive traffic:
    crypto isakmp keepalive 90 30 periodic
    ...and this works to some degree (with DPD are u there keepalives). However I have noticed that the far end router uses non-standard ports when trying to set up phase-1 tunnel:
    BEVRLY_D_CR184_01#sh crypto isa pee
    Peer: 161.x.x.x Port: 4500 Local: 77.x.x.x
    Phase1 id: 10.2.0.92
    Peer: 161.x.x.x Port: 10456 Local: 77.x.x.x
    Phase1 id: 10.2.0.92
    Peer: 161.x.x.x Port: 10554 Local: 77.x.x.x
    Phase1 id: 10.2.0.92
    Peer: 161.x.x.x Port: 10557 Local: 77.x.x.x
    Phase1 id: 10.2.0.92
    Peer: 161.x.x.x Port: 10580 Local: 77.x.x.x
    Phase1 id: 10.2.0.92
    Peer: 161.x.x.x Port: 10589 Local: 77.x.x.x
    Phase1 id: 10.2.0.92
    Peer: 161.x.x.x Port: 10596 Local: 77.x.x.x
    Phase1 id: 10.2.0.92
    Peer: 161.x.x.x Port: 10600 Local: 77.x.x.x
    Phase1 id: 10.2.0.92
    These ports (non-4500) will be blocked by our firewalls. Why does it use these, and is there a way of stopping the router using anything other than port 4500?
    Thanks
    Phil

    Hello,
    Yes - there's NAT at the trusted central router end our side of the firewall... the config used is below:
    Remote Router end:
    crypto isakmp policy 10
    encr 3des
    hash md5
    authentication pre-share
    group 2
    lifetime 180
    crypto isakmp key address
    crypto isakmp invalid-spi-recovery
    crypto isakmp keepalive 90 30 periodic
    crypto ipsec security-association idle-time 300

  • Entity type "EJB-JAR" may not be used in public part "ejbjar_api"

    Experts,
    Can you please help me to identify why the error 'Entity type "EJB-JAR" may not be used in public part "ejbjar_api", unsupported purpose.' appears on NWDS while creating a project on a DC and how can this be resolved.
    Thanks in advance
    -Lave

    Hi Jain,
    is the error message that the public part is not found prefixed with [dcmake]? If yes that rather points in the direction that there is a problem with the metadata information. (PP name not correctly spelled, renamed after initial creation, perhaps even some problems with upper/lower-case letters depending on your platform.)
    What SP are you using? The log looks like some rather old build plugins are used on a newer NWDI installation.
    The warning from the [wdgen] task and the subsequent failure of the [wdminimizer] can be ignored. "ERROR: Non Fatal Error" is a bit quaint, but it really is not fatal. It just means that the minimizer didn't find the data required to operate. The [wdgen] warning means that the WebDynpro generator could not write the information. So the jar files in your public part are maybe a bit bigger than necessary but that's all.
    Best regards,
    Marc

  • When a context node use non-singleton, how to invoke the supply funtion eve

    when a context node use non-singleton, how to invoke the supply funtion everytime the lead selection is changed ?

    Hi wei,
    <b>Non-singleton nodes:</b>
    Web Dynpro allows you to define non-singleton nodes. Each non-singleton node has one node instance for each node element of the parent collection at runtime. The advantage is that each instance can be accessed directly. When using non-singleton nodes, the nodes are only created when the node values are retrieved. This can save resources that otherwise would slow down the performance of the application.
    <b>Supply function:</b>
    The Web Dynpro tools also automatically enhance the corresponding controller class with a supply function including the user coding area contained in it
    Supply functions are implemented as methods of type
    <b>public void supplyChildNodeElements(SomeChildNode node,
                                        SomeParentNodeElement)</b>
    in a Web Dynpro controller (view controller or custom controller). Supply functions and context nodes have a 1..1 relationship, that is, supply functions are specific for individual context nodes. Under certain conditions, supply functions are called by pages in the Web Dynpro runtime environment.
    Hope this helps u,
    Regards,
    Nagarajan.

  • Error in creating GUID using com.sap.guid API's

    Hi
       i am trying to create GUID using com.sap.guid API's. I've included the guidgenerator.jar in the classpath. I ran the following code. i got the "Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/guid/GUIDGeneratorFactory " error.
    the code is
    package com.portal;
    import com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.;*
    import com.sap.guid.GUIDGeneratorFactory;
    import com.sap.guid.IGUID;
    import com.sap.guid.IGUIDGenerator;
    import com.sap.guid.IGUIDGeneratorFactory;
    public class TestCompforGUID extends AbstractPortalComponent
        public void doContent(IPortalComponentRequest request, IPortalComponentResponse response)
    *          IGUIDGenerator generator = GUIDGeneratorFactory.getInstance().createGUIDGenerator();*
    *          String guid = generator.createGUID().toString();*
    *          String hexGuid = generator.createGUID().toHexString();*
    *          response.write(guid);*
    *          response.write(hexGuid);*
    can anyone created the GUID's using com.sap.guid API's and help me here.
    Do i need to specify any reference in Portalapp.xml ?
    Thanks,
    Saravanan

    difficult to reproduce. But it might be a data conversion problem.
    e.g. try
    to_char(a.num_tabs)If that's not the error comment out certain lines or xmltags and test which one is the reason for the error.
