Hello,
we have some existing JSP Applications an want to include them into out portal. They are currently running on iAS as standalone applications. But we also want to protect them using portal security.
How is it possible to use Portal Security for those JSP Applications.

currently I don't need to include them as portlets.
I included the first Page as jsp Report... because of that, this jsp is secured. But my application has more jsps.
Probably I could set an sessionvariable in the first protected jsp and check it in all other jsps. If this sessionvar is not existing, the user is not allowed to see this application.
Currently I have no other idea.

Doument Access - using Portal security or Document Database security

I originally posted this on the Security Form, but realized that it might be solved using the PDK.
I have a table in my database that contains information about a document (Name, Rev, Author, groups that have access). I want users to login to my portal and in a portlet, I want them to be able to click which docs they have access to see; based on who they are logged on as.
Would I use the PDK for this? If I use portal security, I think I will be maintaining the security twice (database and portal).

Using WS-Security with Spring application in WebLogic

From a high level, are there any issues with using WS-Security in WebLogic 8 or 9 with an application constructed with Spring? What issues might come up between WS-Security and Spring that might make this complicated?

You won't be able to do this using the WSSE file.
An easy way to get around this is to use an XML Bean built from the WS-Security XML Schema. You'll have to read the WS-Security spec to determine how to create the nonce, but you'll be able to convert this XML Bean into the Element[] that the setOutputHeaders() method, which is on the service control you call the .NET Web Service with.

Need help using XWS-Security with EJB service endpoint

I am trying to use XWS-Security along the lines of the JWSDP 1.6 examples, but with an EJB endpoint deployed in an ejb-jar file rather than a typical service endpoint deployed in a WAR.
Any information on how to do this would be appreciated. I believe I'm close to getting an example working- the details on the problem I've encountered are below.
I use WSCompile to generate stubs and ties for my WS, and XDoclet to generate the ejb-jar.xml. I deploy the ejb-jar on JBoss 4.0.2.
The problem I'm having is that the security features are handled in the Stubs and Ties generated by WSCompile, and my server-side refuses to use the WSCompile generated Tie. Previously the web service had used the WSCompile argument 'import="true"', which generated no tie, and the web service worked (this was before I tried to add security features). Whatever mechanism had been used to direct messages to my EJB then is still being used now (JNDI, I believe, facilitated by the ejb-jar.xml and webservices.xml files), and bypassing the Tie class that I now generate using 'server="true"'.
There must be some way I can reconfigure my webservice so that the WSCompile generated Tie is used, but I can't find any help on the topic.
Can anyone tell me how to make sure my webservice will use the Tie class on the server side? Is it even possible when using EJBs instead of servlets?

Burn your CD using iTunes. Then rip the music off of the CD using any "ripping" program. Just make sure the program you use has the "save as .wav" option available. Im not familiar with MusicMatch but I'm sure you would be able to use it.

How to use Portal SSO with existing BSP application

Hi all,
we run SAP EP 6.0 here and have a single start BSP page of
an application integrated with the SAP appintegrator for BSP. The rest of the existing BSP application still uses
the login functionality based on CL_BSP_LOGIN_APPLICATION
and is not integrated in the portal.
Problem: If a user directly accesses one of the "old" BSP pages, he should be redirected to the portal to auth. him via SSO and afterwards the original BSP page with all its parameters should be processed.
How to deal with that? Is there a similar mechanism like with the BSP_LOGIN_APP in between for the SAP EP?

I think that doesnt solve the problem.
I have 2 systems: SAP ECC with all BSPs and the portal on another system. So I have to entry points: Via portal using the appIntegrator BSP or directly to the ECC.
As-is: If the auth. for the BSP appl. fails, the user is re-directed via the error page given in the service (SICF)
to a BSP login app. and from there to the requested page.
No portal in this concept.
Must-be: A user is still able to directly access a BSP on the SAP ECC by entering the URL in the browser. It's not a must entering via the portal first.
So when the login failed on the ECC (no SSO ticket), he should be redirected to the portal for getting his SSO.
After he signed in successfully the user will be forwarded to the BSP page he entered in the browser the first place.
I can't see a way to use the URL iView. I am thinking of simply changing the login mechanism of the BSP using the portal login functionality.
The link you gave me offers an implementation of CL_ICF_SYSTEM_LOGIN. Any ideas?

Using WS-Security with Web Service Controls in WLI 8.1 SP3

We have a process that calls a web service hosted on a .NET environment. The technique we have used is to generate a service control from the web service WSDL and call that control from a process. The web service is protected using a WS-Security usernameToken policy. The problem is that the .NET environment requires the wsse:Nonce and wsu:Created elements to be provided along with the token and I cannot see how I can specify this using a wsse policy file in WebLogic workshop. Does anyone have any advice for the best way to add this information to the security element in the SOAP header from within a WLI process? I've seen some example code for a java web service client, but that would not really fit with the control-based approach normally adopted in a WLI environment.

Using pdf-security with FormProcessor blanks out entire PDF

When I try to set the pdf-security property and its associated properties with the FormProcessor.setConfig API method, the resulting PDF document is completely blank. And no, it's not an issue of my security. When I view the security properties within the document, it says there is no security. Has anyone been able to get this to work with FormProcessor, and if so, HOW???

It's rather sad to have to be answering my own post, but for anyone else who might need this info this seems to have worked in my project - at least locally... Although it doesn't appear to be documented, you can use the same properties from the FOProcessor engine with the FormrProcessor engine, and call the FormProcessor.setConfig() method.

Absolutely not! Mozilla has no specific requirements as to which security program should be used with Firefox. If you are happy with what comes with Windows 7, keep using it. If you aren't, I think you should consider using Avira Personal Free - http://www.free-av.com/. That is my current choice and has been for that last 3 years.

Can OSB use ws-security with Basic 256 Sha256 algorithm

I'm trying to config OSB with WS-Security for an organisation that wants to use the Basic256 and Sha256 algorithm suite. I can't find a document that describes all the available algorithms supported by WebLogic/OSB and haven't seen this one mentioned anywhere. The "closest" the documentation refers to is Basic256 Rsa15.
Any help much appreciated.

Trouble using JMXMP Security with TLS example

I am using the example code from section 11.4.3 TLS Socket Factory in the document: [Java Dynamic Management Kit 5.1 Tutorial|http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19698-01/816-7609/6mdjrf873/index.html] . I can get it working fine, but only if the first private key entry in the server side's keystore is the one that matches a certificate in the client's truststore. This leads me to believe that there is no way to select a particular private key for use with a JMXMP connection across TLS, i.e. TLS always chooses the first key entry it encounters in the keystore. Is this true?

Date parameter does not work in SharePoint 2010 report using SQL 2008 Server Reporting Service

Here is the settings:
SharePoint 2010 with SQL server 2008 reporting services configured
When create a report for a SP list using SQL server report builder (3.0) the date parameter does not work.
The data parameter is set as "date and time" type and field name equals the col name in the SP list
When run the report, the whatever dates I select, the result is always the same, so the parameters do not take any effect.
Is any step missing?

Have you tested if other type parameter worked?
Have you tried typing the date format as 20140722 in your date parameter filed before run the report?

WPA Security with the F5D7230-4

Hey,
I've successfully bridged my Airport Express from my Belkin F5D7230-4 with WEP Security enabled and it worked very well. Well, I should actually rephrase that; it worked well for all the Macs. The only PC on the wireless network couldn't establish a consistent connection, so I had to change the security to WPA and now everybody's computers work very well (WPA is actually desired). The only problem with WPA is that I can't get WDS to work with it, in other words, the Airport Express won't connect to the Belkin. After configuring the settings the same way as before (except changing the security) the Airport Express will first stay solid yellow, turn green for 2 or 3 seconds, and then flash yellow again. I have tried changing the wireless channel, and telling the Airport Express to just join (not WDS) while the Airport Express next to the Belkin, but still nothing worked.
Wireless bridging is infact enabled on the Belkin, and I've also tried allowing only certain access points to connect, but that didn't work either.
Is it possible that I'm not able to use WPA security with WDS on this Belkin router?
It's a F5D7230-4 Belkin Router with 4.05.03 firmware, and the latest firmware is on the Airport Express.

Do you mean to get into the network? I do have a password WPA password set, and that's why the Airport Express can't access it.
I need WPA set because a: the PC on the network needs it in order to connect, and b: it's much more secure.
I pretty much need to have the security because the Belkin has it on, and to my understanding, the Airport Express also needs to have it enabled to work.
Is there any update or anything available that could help my problem, or am I pretty much out of luck?

In Oracle Advanced Security Documentation it is mentioned that i can use SSL concurrently with DB user names and passwords. But when i configure the client certificate on the client my DB connection is getting authenticated using the certificate, which out passing user id or password.
We want to connect to Oracle DB over SSL channel so that the data packets are not in clear text. Also we want the user to make a connection using user id and password.
Basically we want SSL with out authentication.
Need your expert advice
