Using Sections To Tie Two Rows Together

I use the section capability to join two rows together.  I have a button that will duplicate the section.  Which on the screen shows perfectly.  However, when you save the file, and open it back up it does not maintain those sections.  It combines them into one.  look at this example:
TABLE 1
ROW 1: element1, element2               -- Row 1&2 are group as a section
ROW 2: element1, element2
User press the add button:
Table 1
ROW 1: element1, element2                -- So when the user press the add button it duplicates the section to add two more rows in order
ROW2: element 1, element2
ROW3: element 1, element2
ROW4: element 1, element2
The user now saves the form and exits...
The user lanuches reader and opens the form. they see the follow result...
ROW1: element1, element2
ROW3: element1, element2
ROW2: element1, element2
ROW4: element1, element2
I need the section to stay together...  Any suggestions of what can be done?
Regards

Uncheck the checkbox for the "Repeat Row for each Data Item" in the Bidning tab for Row2 and Row3 inside the Section.
You are actually creating a new instance of the section (which includes Row2 and Row3). So this check box should be checked at the Section levl not at the Row level. You have already checked the Section property so remove from Row 2 and Row3.

  • Tie two songs together

I'd like to be able to tie two songs together so they always play back to back, yet in a complete shuffle mode. For instance Van Halen's Eruption / You Really Got Me Down. They appear as separate songs on the CD, so they play randomly on the shuffle. Is there a way to tie pairs of songs together?
    Thanks

You can join tracks when importing from the CD. Insert your CD highlight the songs you want to join and choose "Join CD Tracks" from the Advanced menu and import: Adding songs from CDs to your library

When you say "row", do you mean "column"?

Because in this case STATE_1 and STATE_2 are only text of a log file/history.
So I think 1NF isn't really violated and because of performance of the database in this case it's better to put obsolete rows together.
    Why do you think that?
The definition of First Normal Form is that every column of every row contains 1 piece of information, not a variable number of pieces.  Whether or not that data is only text of a log file/history has nothing to do with it.
You might claim you have good reasons (such as performance) for violating First Normal form, but you can't say that you're not violating it.

  • How to link two rows together? Weights should be tied to returns!!

Hello CB experts! I have a question. It may be simple or it may not; not sure. So, I’m looking for some guidance here. I have historical return on my sheet named ‘Symbols’. In my ‘Returns’ sheet, I have Shares, Return, Volatility, and Weights, along with a Covariance Matrix and a Correlation Matrix on the sheet. I put an Efficient Frontier curve in there and the top performing components of the Dow. I also, have a sheet named ‘Returns-CB’; this is where my CB analysis is. So, from E6:AH6 and E8:AH8, I have defined CB assumptions (they are pretty much all the same). Anyway, my question is this: how do I link the items in row 6 to the items in row 8? If I have 12% return and 30% return for stock AA and stock BA, I should NOT have 0% weight; I want to invest in these stocks. Similarly, if I have a weight of 15% for stock CAT, I should NOT have 0% return. This doesn’t make any sense. Can someone please tell me how to link the returns and weights. It works perfectly fine in the ‘Returns’ sheet; I used MS Solver to get this working. I was trying to do something similar in the ‘Returns-CB’ sheet.
You can download the file from here:
    http://www.mediafire.com/view/?5lk0gtcd261cy3c
    Thanks everyone!!

I know this has something to do with constraints. For instance, Cell C8 must = 100%. Cells E8:AH8 will change, depending on the weights of the stocks (this is contingent on risk; defined assumptions and parameters of the distribution curves). Likewise, Cells E6:AH6 must change, depending on the potential future returns of the stocks (this is also contingent on the risk). It seems like, if I define an assumption, it wipes out any formula that I have in the cell. So, I'm not sure how to 'link' the E6:AH6 range and the E8:AH8 range. Does anyone here have any ideas on this?

  • Question on "tying" two queries together

I get an error when I run the following code (shown below).
Why can't I "tie" these 2 queries together like this?
Both run fine by themselves and give me good data, I just need to tie them together.
This is for a beginning sql class, so I all I really want is an explanation as to why this is not allowed.
I'm not finding the answer in the book I have.

    Hi,
When the following clauses are used, they always have to be in this order:
    WHERE
    GROUP BY
    ORDER BY
You can skip any (or all) of these, but when you use them, they have to come in that order.
Move the WHERE-clause (the whole thing, up to, but not including, the semicolon) before the GROUP BY clause.

  • Is there a way to tie to iPads together so that when you turn a page with a tap on one, both iPads turn a page.  I am using the ipad to replace piano sheet music.  The challenge is that ordinary sheet music is on both a left and right page.

We are trying to use an ipad to replace ordinary paper sheet music on a piano.  When truning ordinary paper pages, it is sometimes hard to grasp one page, turn it quickly and get it to stay turned.  The idea with using an ipad is that a tap turns the page, it stays turned.  However,,,,,ordinary sheet music is on both left and right pages.  With one turn you get 2 new pages.  The ipad, being smaller results in only one page and therefore twice as many page turn taps; more taps equals less hands on the piano.  If we could tie 2 ipads together and get them both to turn the page simultaneously it would be nice.  We are trying to get used to using the ipad.  We are using ForScore app to get sheet music into the ipad; we could load one with odd pages and one with even pages.  Maybe this is getting too complicated.
Anyway to tie 2 units together
    John

No way to control one device from the other.  But, according to ForScore, you should be able to display two sheets side by side in landscape mode (2-up view)?  Not sure if that helps as it must make the actual print smaller to do so.

Do a right mouse click on the left, gray row marker => "Insert Row"=> "Inside Group

  • Adding every other field of two separate rows together.

    Hi,
    We're using Oracle 11.1.
I's like to add two rows from two different queries together,
I'd like it to look something like:
    with
    a as
    ( select 'a' q,'b' r,'c' s,'d' t,'e' u from dual),
    b as
    ( select '1' q, '2' r,'3' s,'4' t,'5' u from dual)
select a.q, b.r, a.s, b.t, a.u from a, b;The trouble is I'm already using WITH and both the 'real queries' get their data from the progressive WITH statements already up top.
I'd like to add every other field from each query to a result row.
I have to use only SQL.
Is there a way I can use UNION and combine the rows using dummy fields for the fields I don't want to use?
    Some something like
I know this isn't right but...it sort of what I want to do.
    select * from
    ( select 'a' q,' ' r,'c' s,' ' t,'e' u from dual
    union
    select '1' q, '2' r,' ' s,'4' t,' ' u from dual);Anybody?

    Can u try using join.
    select a.q, b.r, a.s, b.t, a.u from
    (select 'a' q,'b' r,'c' s,'d' t,'e' u from dual) as a,
    ( select '1' q, '2' r,'3' s,'4' t,'5' u from dual) as b;
This will result in a Cartesian join, but if you have a common column between a & b, then you can use it in the where clause.

  • When using private browsing to view image results in Safari 5.1.3, only the first two rows of results are visible, the following four or so rows display greyed out place holders, and the safe search button is inoperable. Suggestions?

When using private browsing to view image results in Safari 5.1.3, only the first two rows of results are visible, the following four or so rows display greyed out place holders, the remainder of the results page is blank, and the safe search button is inoperable. When I turn off private browsing and refresh the page, everything works again.
    Anyone else having this problem?

I have got the same behaviour after the last Safari Update to 5.1.3. It seems that Safari now handles some scripts in a new way. If you debug the Google Website, you will see, that there is some Javascript Error, that seems to prevent to write into local cache. After some searching I wasn't able to finde a solution for this problem, other then disabling Javascript while private browsing to prevent the script loading. You then are able to use Google with the old layout. The option to disable JavaScript can be found in the Menu "Developer", wich has to be enabled in Safari in the options first.
In my opinion this is a bug that is now occuring, because Apple changed something in private browsing and that has to be fixed by Google now, to run again. Or we will have to wait for 5.1.4, as you can read online Apple will change and bugfix the javascript engine in that version, perhaps this fixes the problem as well. I hope so!
If anyone is in the developer program perhaps you could test this with the beta of 5.1.4 and tell us if it works.

  • Addition of two rows values in table  using formatted search

    hi all,
i have created one UDF field in market document rows, now in AR invoice i need to add the values in the UDF fields of two rows, want to show it in anather outside UDF in title. kindly suggest me some query to track that.
Ex:- i had entered two items in rows and
for first UDF row i have given 20
for second UDF row i have given 30.
now i need to show sum of the two UDF in two rows in title UDF.
kindly give me some query used for formatted search to do this task.
    regards
    sandip

    Sandip,
To the best of myknowledge When you try to take the row value to the header the results of the Formatted Search are not consistent.
but for your interest, I am giving below the logic to work this out.
You need two Header level user fields.  One to copy the row user fields value and the other to store the sum.
You can create a simple SQL "SELECT $[$38.U_UserFieldName] (substitute with row level user field name) and attach it to the first header level user field and make it Auto refresh on doc total.
    Then Attached SQL  "SELECT $[ORDR.U_HeaderUserField1] + $[ORDR.U_HeaderUserField2]"
The results could be flaky because the header user field takes the value of the active row and sometime it only considers the first row active though you might be entering the second row of data.
My recommendation would be to Use The Transaction Notification Stored Procedure for this by which you can be absolutely sure that the Header User field will have the sum.
Let me know if you need directions for this.

  • Trying to use ALL_TAB_COLS  to find two tables based on input rows

    I'm using 9i.
I'm trying to use the ALL_TAB_COLS table to find two tables that contain columns I can join them on. I know the names of the two tables. We can call them table1 and table2. I just using the columns that are stored in them below to find a common set of tables.
The query I'm using is the following
    select distinct did.TABLE_NAME, did.COLUMN_NAME
    from
        (Select * from ALL_TAB_COLS
        where column_name in('SO_LINE_ID','SO_LINE_NUMBER', 'SO_ORDER_NUMBER', 'SO_HEADER_ID','AR_CUSTOMER_TRX_LINE_ID')
        --and OWNER = 'FTBV'
        ) did
    join
        (Select * from ALL_TAB_COLS
        where column_name in('SCHED_DISTRIBUTION_ID', 'CODE_COMBINATION_ID', 'PRODUCT_BUSINESS_CODE', 'PRODUCT_GROUP_CODE', 'PRODUCT_CODE')
        --and OWNER = 'FTBV'
        ) iii
on did.TABLE_NAME = iii.TABLE_NAME;It's giving me limited results.
What I need is something that can find interim tables that would link my two tables together based on the unique columns I've provided. Does such a query exist?
    Thanks in Advance.

Only if there is a defined foreign key relationship. If there is one the queries you want are on the Constraints page of Morgan's Library at www.psoug.org. If they do not exist then you need to find a subject matter expert that can explain the application's design.
The fact that you are asking this question is a strong indication of a lack of proper documentation at your facility: Something you might wish to address.

Do a right mouse click on the left, gray row marker => "Insert Row"=> "Inside Group
    - Above or Below", then you get a second detail row.

  • Table section with 3 header rows pagination issue

    Hi experts.
I have a table section pagination issue. In my case the table section combines 3 header rows.
Down bellow the series of screenshots I hope they describe my example well (click on screenshots to enlarge).
    1) The data context
    2) Layout elements
Here is my issue (table header output at the end of the page but there is no data row):
As you can see on the first page there is no more place for a data row but the header still exists.
if I set keep with next flag on the pagination tab for all header rows the result will be:
Is it possible somehow to fix it?
I would like to have the header row output on the page only if a data row exists bellow the header, the footer should only output if a data row exists above.
    Here is PDF output:

The solutions is easy. You´d better create the corresponding DDIC objects hierarchy in the backend and then use the form to PRINT the prepared data ONLY. I mean:
    In your backend:
in a row there is a dataset (table) and a optional dataset (table) == DDIC structure with two "fields" of type "table" = row A
use this "row" to create the "outer" table == DDIC table type with row A
Then you can just drag and drop this structure in your adobe form and will have do difficult with formatting.
