Using Set-UserPhoto returns "No photo with class 'IPM.UserPhoto.Preview' exists."

Hello,
I'm trying to upload high res photo of our employees with the commands below.
But after the 'save' command the following error is shown:
No photo with class 'IPM.UserPhoto.Preview' exists.;
+ CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [Set-UserPhoto], ObjectNotFoundException
Afterwards when checking the picture over EWS with the GetUserPhoto command, the image is working fine though.
I couldn't find anything related to this error on the web. We're using Exchange 2013 CU3.
Just wanted to check if we can just ignore this error and run the commands for all our users.
$photo = ([Byte[]] $(Get-Content -Path $picturePath -Encoding Byte -ReadCount 0))
Set-UserPhoto -Identity $UserIdentity -PictureData $photo -Confirm:False
Set-UserPhoto -Identity $UserIdentity -Save -Confirm:False

Hi,
Uploading the photo does not equate to assigning that photo to Ken Myer's user account. Instead, uploading the photo simply results in a preview of that photo to be displayed on the
Outlook Web App Options page. To actually assign that photo to the user account the user must click
Save on the Options page or the administrator must execute the third command in the example. That third command uses the Save parameter to assign the photo to Ken Myer's user account:
Set-UserPhoto -Identity "Ken Myer" -Save -Confirm:False

  • Has photoshop started using EXIF orientation to display photos with the right rotation?

    Has photoshop updated recently and started using EXIF orientation to display photographs with the right rotation?
    I thought in the past it ignored the EXIF orientation, but it seems like it is now using it. Does anyone know if you can tell it not to use this information when displaying the image on the screen?
    Please help!!

    Duh! My apologize for not providing the important details.
    The system model I have tested on:
    Mac Pro Early 2009
    2.66Ghz 10GB Memory
    Dual NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB Cards (original cards)
    Tested on 10.7.4-10.7.5, 10.8.2
    Crash Report can be located here:
    http://pastebin.com/aeZ2kYvw  (this was using version 10.7.4)
    It's just odd since last year we've been using this setup fine with v13.0 and now with v.13.0.3 it doesn't work. The reason for our two independent video cards is so that one card sends video to the monitor screen of the teacher, the second card sends a video signal that can be switched to either a projector or 8 lcd monitors in the lab (we've invested a lot of video infrastructure for this lab). When we tested using a single card for both outputs we would get an odd interlace horizontal thin bar that would go top to bottom ever so slowly. This would appear either when looking at video or when moving windows around. Doing the dual video cards solved that issue for us and have been using the setup since 2009.

  • Using the CCK to get Photos from ur Computer

    Hello , I just got the camera connection kit and playing around with it I found out a few things:
    1. The kits works just fine with Eye-fi cards, treats them as a standard SD card
    2. As far as I can see the kit imports pics in their original file size, though I have only tried with full sized JPG's and not RAW files yet.
    3. The iPad could care less what device formats the SD card as long as it has the same folder structure that a camera would use (FAT file system)- (Top folder named "DCIM" then a sub folder with whatever name, then pics in the sub folder).
    3A. I experimented and formatted an SD card with my computer , made it FAT file system then did the folder structured I mentioned. Then transfered pics from my computer into the sub folder. Plugged the SD card into the CCK reader and GREAT the pics imported.
    This is a handy trick if you're like me and use your iPad for serious photo editing or want to import existing pics outside of iTunes into your iPad.
    Are there any tips anyone else would like to share regarding using the CCK ?

    Sorry, no tips, but Thanks for the good info.

  • In LR6CC, after using the merge to HDR and the photo returns to LR as a DRG, it is not automatically put into a previously set up stack. For example a stack of three photos. If I use NIK HDR and the photo returns to LR, the stack is automatically changed

    In LR6CC, after using the merge to HDR and the photo returns to LR as a DRG, it is not automatically put into a previously set up stack. For example a stack of three photos. If I use NIK HDR and the photo returns to LR, the stack is automatically changed from 3 to 4. When LR's HDR merge brings a photo back into LR's library, the stack number does not change and the DRG version isn't included in the stack.

    Hi,
    The Ps CS6 public beta version contains the same camera support as found in Ps CS5/5.5 compatible CR 6.6. There will be future updates to CR 7 for Ps CS6 to pick up more camera support. The Nikon D800 NEF files are not supported, yet.
    If you like to work with your D800 files in the public beta build now, you'll have to get the DNG Converter 6.7 from here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/cameraraw6-7/
    and convert your files to DNG.
    regards,
    steve

  • Using sets with Strings

    Hello, I'm in a dilemma here
    I'm using a Set to store Strings:
    private Set<String> X;
    I have a class that receives a String and first check if the string is allready on the set and if not it adds it:
    public boolean method (V e) {
    if(X.contains(e.getString()) )
    return false;
    Y.add(e.getString());
    return true;
    So I got confussed when looking at the properties of a Set, (i.e. do I need to check if the string is allready there, or it'll do it for me?)
    and if I have to check it myself can I use .contains() to compare the given string to all strings in the set?
    Thanks

    Dude! Do NOT screw around with the colors like that. It makes you post way hard to read. Use the CODE button or [[code] and [[/code] tags for sections of code, and an occasional italic or bold for emphasis, and the quote button or a > for quoting.
    You don't need to check if it's there. Read the docs for Set. They tell you that it will add it if it's not there, and return true if the set was modified (that is, if it wasn't already there).
    Set<String> set = new HashSet<String>();
    boolean b1 = set.add("x"); // adds x, returns true
    boolean b2 = set.add("x"); // does nothing to the set, returns false

  • Return code = 00000057 using a gem pc twin reader with OCF

    Hello, i really need help.
    I'm having the famous return code = 00000057 when i try to send an APDU command, I'm using a applet proxy, so it send an select APDU inside the OCF framework, and the result is success, so i'm able to send an select Applet, but when i try to send the following apdu:
    allocateCardChannel();
    // Set up the command APDU and send it to the card.
    getBalanceAPDU.setLength(0);
    getBalanceAPDU.append(MyAPPLET_CLA); // Class
    getBalanceAPDU.append(VERIFY_INS); // Instr'n
    getBalanceAPDU.append((byte) 0x00); // P1
    getBalanceAPDU.append((byte) 0x00); // P2
    getBalanceAPDU.append((byte) 0x00); // Lc
    getBalanceAPDU.append((byte) 0x05); // Le
    // Send command APDU and check the response.
    ResponseAPDU response;
    //response = new ResponseAPDU(07);
    response = sendCommandAPDU(getCardChannel(), MY_CARD_AID,
    getBalanceAPDU);
    i got that error. I pasted, all the debug message below. I already updated the pcsc-wrapper-2.0.jar file, but i'm still having this error, as i said i'm using an gem pc twin cardreader with gemxpresso card. My opencard.properties file:

    Hello, i really need help.
    I'm having the famous return code = 00000057 when i try to send an APDU command, I'm using a applet proxy, so it send an select APDU inside the OCF framework, and the result is success, so i'm able to send an select Applet, but when i try to send the following apdu:
    allocateCardChannel();
    // Set up the command APDU and send it to the card.
    getBalanceAPDU.setLength(0);
    getBalanceAPDU.append(MyAPPLET_CLA); // Class
    getBalanceAPDU.append(VERIFY_INS); // Instr'n
    getBalanceAPDU.append((byte) 0x00); // P1
    getBalanceAPDU.append((byte) 0x00); // P2
    getBalanceAPDU.append((byte) 0x00); // Lc
    getBalanceAPDU.append((byte) 0x05); // Le
    // Send command APDU and check the response.
    ResponseAPDU response;
    //response = new ResponseAPDU(07);
    response = sendCommandAPDU(getCardChannel(), MY_CARD_AID,
    getBalanceAPDU);
    i got that error. I pasted, all the debug message below. I already updated the pcsc-wrapper-2.0.jar file, but i'm still having this error, as i said i'm using an gem pc twin cardreader with gemxpresso card. My opencard.properties file:

  • How to set up my elderly parent with Mac so that I can use remote access to help her?

    I want to set my elderly mother up with a new Mac mini so that I can use remote access to show her how use email, browse the internet, share photos.  (She lives in KY, I live in OR)
    She has had an iPhone and an iPad for about 6 months and she can barely use them without becoming frustrated.   I want to be able to see her screen with her and show her how to do things.
    My plan is to set her up with a Mac mini and I'll use my MacBookAir to remote into her system.  I'm buying the mini to configure and then I'll mail it to her.
    My question is whether to try to use Back to My Mac or Teamviewer for remote access
    I have broadband with comcast and she has broadband with Access Cable.  Each have their company modem/routers--neither of us have Airport Express.
    I have my own iCloud account and she has her own.   If I use Back to My Mac, it seems that I would need to set up a separate account on my Mac that would sync to her iCloud account.
    Teamviewer seems easier because I don't have to use a separate account.   Any advice?   Anything that I'm not thinking about?

    As Linc says, you can establish a Screen Sharing session via iMessage and Facetime.  The advantage of these 2 approaches is that once your Mom gets used to using them, she will be more comfortable using them to communicate with you.  I've talked to my Mom via iChat (aka iMessage) more since she learned to use them, then in all the years before that (including when I was a child ).  And just being able to see your Mom via Facetime can be useful when you want to gage how she is doing.
    However, if you are any distance from your Mom, they you want backup methods incase something goes wrong.
    So beside iMessage/Facetime, the next best would be Back-to-My-Mac via iCloud, however, you will want to establish her Mac as using your account so that you have the right to take control remotely.
    An alternative that does not mix up your iCloud acounts would be to use TeamViewer.com (which has an unattended mode so you can do off-hour maintenance when your Mom is not around; or check up on her to find out if she is dating - Turns out if I had been paying attention, I would not have been blind-sided by my Mom getting Married again last Summer - she is in her 80's! ).
    LogMeIn.com, as dwb says, can be used the same was as TeamViewer.com
    Both LogMeIn.com and TeamViewer.com are very good at making it easy to get through the home router and if you are having any problems connecting using other Methods, TeamViewer.com or LogMeIn.com will most likely not have any issues.
    Back-to-My-Mac allows screen sharing and file sharing so you can transfer files as well as control the screen.
    Screen Sharing via Messages allows cooperative file transfer. That is to say, you can try pushing a file to your Mom, but she has to accept each transfer.
    TeamViewer.com has an unattended file transfer mode.
    LogMeIn.com requires the paid version to transfer files.  However, there are other ways to transfer files, such as downloading them from the original source on your Mom's system while using screen sharing, using Dropbox (or similar), emailing them, etc...
    Of course if you are really network savvy, you can roll your own via ssh tunnels, port forwarding routers, getting dynamic DNS names, transferring files via scp, or tunneling AFP file sharing, tunneling your screen sharing sessions.  Lots of fun and excitement playing with terminal commands

    I need your help with a decision to use iPhoto.  I have been a PC user since the mid 1980’s and more recently have used ACDSee to manage my photo images and Photoshop to edit them.  I have used ProShow Gold to create slideshows.  I am comfortable with my own folder and file naming conventions. I currently have over 23,000 images of which around 60% are scans going back 75 years.  Since I keep a copy of the originals, the storage requirements for over 46,000 images is huge.  180GB plus.
    I now have a Macbook Pro and will add an iMac when the new models arrive.  For my photos, I want to stay with Photoshop which also gives me the Bridge.  The only obvious reason to use iPhoto is to take advantage of Faces and the link to iMovie to make slideshows.  What am I missing and is using iPhoto worth the effort?
    If I choose to use iPhoto, I am not certain whether I need to load the originals and the edited versions. I suspect that just the latter is sufficient.  If I set PhotoShop as my external editor, I presume that iPhoto will keep track of all changes moving forward.  However, over 23,000 images in iPhoto makes me twitchy and they are appear hidden within iPhoto.  In the past, I have experienced syncing problems with, and database errors in, large databases.  If I break up the images into a number of projects, I loose the value of Faces reaching back over time.
    Some guidance and insight would be appreciated.  I have a number of Faces questions which I will save for later.

    Bridge and Photoshop is a common file-based management system. (Not sure why you'd have used ACDSEE as well as Bridge.) In any event, it's on the way out. You won't be using it in 5 years time.
    Up to this the lack of processing power on your computer left no choice but to organise this way. But file based organisation is as sensible as organising a Shoe Warehouse based on the colour of the boxes. It's also ultimately data-destructive.
    Modern systems are Database driven. Files are managed, Images imported, virtual versions, lossless processing and unlimited editing are the way forward.
    For a Photographer Photoshop is overkill. It's an enormously powerful app, a staple of the Graphic Designers' trade. A Photographer uses maybe 15% to 20% of its capability.
    Apps like iPhoto, Lightroom, Aperture are the way forward - for photographers. There's the 20% of Photoshop that shooters actually use, coupled with management and lossless processing. Pop over to the Aperture or Lightroom forums (on the Adobe site) and one comment shows up over and over again... "Since I started using Aperture/ Lightroom I hardly ever use Photoshop any more..." and if there is a job that these apps can do, then the (much) cheaper Elements will do it.
    The change is not easy though, especially if you have a long-standing and well thought out filing system of your own. The first thing I would strongly advise is that you experiment before making any decisions. So I would create a Library, import 300 or 400 shots and play. You might as well do this in iPhoto to begin with - though if you’re a serious hobbyist or a Pro then you'll find yourself looking further afield pretty soon. iPhoto is good for the family snapper, taking shots at birthdays and sharing them with friends and family.
    Next: If you're going to successfully use these apps you need to make a leap: Your files are not your Photos.
    The illustration I use is as follows: In my iTunes Library I have a file called 'Let_it_Be_The_Beatles.mp3'. So what is that, exactly? It's not the song. The Beatles never wrote an mp3. They wrote a tune and lyrics. They recorded it and a copy of that recording is stored in the mp3 file. So the file is just a container for the recording. That container is designed in a specific way attuned to the characteristics and requirements of the data. Hence, mp3.
    Similarly, that Jpeg is not your photo, it's a container designed to hold that kind of data. iPhoto is all about the data and not about the container. So, regardless of where you choose to store the file, iPhoto will manage the photo, edit the photo, add metadata to the Photo but never touch the file. If you choose to export - unless you specifically choose to export the original - iPhoto will export the Photo into a new container - a new file containing the photo.
    When you process an image in iPhoto the file is never touched, instead your decisions are recorded in the database. When you view the image then the Master is presented with these decisions applied to it. That's why it's lossless. You can also have multiple versions and waste no disk space because they are all just listings in the database.
    These apps replace the Finder (File Browser) for managing your Photos. They become the Go-To app for anything to do with your photos. They replace Bridge too as they become a front-end for Photoshop.
    So, want to use a photo for something - Export it. Choose the format, size and quality you want and there it is. If you're emailing, uploading to websites then these apps have a "good enough for most things" version called the Preview - this will be missing some metadata.
    So it's a big change from a file-based to Photo-based management, from editing files to processing Photos and it's worth thinking it through before you decide.

  • I am using iPhoto version 9.6 and I can no longer get an email sent with a photo attached. I get an error message saying the email did not go through because the server did not reply. I can send the photo with Mail. Help!

    I have upgraded to Yosemite and also updated the iPhoto application to version 9.6. I am no longer able to send a photo from iPhoto via email. I get an error message saying the server is not responding. But, when using the same server in Mail, I can attach the photo and send it. My wife is using the older version of iPhoto and it works fine.
    I have checked the settings for the outgoing server, etc. and the Mail settings match those in iPhoto.
    Could this be due to either the Yosemite upgrade or the iPhoto upgrade?

    This solution is for those of you using 2-step verification for your Apple ID and are using iCloud as the mail server that you are trying to mail photos with.
    I too had this issue. The problem in my case occurred because I had setup 2-step authentication for my Apple ID. If you have done this then you will get the error message "the mail server did not recognize your email/password...". To solve the problem go to:
    https://appleid.apple.com
    Click "Manage Your Apple ID"
    Verify your identity with the device you selected (if this step does not show up then you have not likely set up 2-step authentication and this is not your solution)
    Click Password and Security in the left column
    Click Generate an app-specific password
    Enter iPhoto as the name of the app
    Copy the password and paste this into the password box in iPhoto where you would normally enter your apple ID (in the mail account section in iPhoto preferences).
    And...voila' (I hope)

    please help me

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to set "peoples or groups" field with current user "login name" in SharePoint list form using JavaScript.
    To set "peoples or groups" field with current user "login name”,  you can use the below code:
    <script src="http://ajax.aspnetcdn.com/ajax/jquery/jquery-1.9.0.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function SetPickerValue(pickerid, key, dispval) {
    var xml = '<Entities Append="False" Error="" Separator=";" MaxHeight="3">';
    xml = xml + PreparePickerEntityXml(key, dispval);
    xml = xml + '</Entities>';
    EntityEditorCallback(xml, pickerid, true);
    function PreparePickerEntityXml(key, dispval) {
    return '<Entity Key="' + key + '" DisplayText="' + dispval + '" IsResolved="True" Description="' + key + '"><MultipleMatches /></Entity>';
    function GetCurrentUserAndInsertIntoUserField() {
    var context = new SP.ClientContext.get_current();
    var web = context.get_web();
    this._currentUser = web.get_currentUser();
    context.load(this._currentUser);
    context.executeQueryAsync(Function.createDelegate(this, this.onSuccess),
    Function.createDelegate(this, this.onFailure));
    function onSuccess(sender, args) {
    SetPickerValue('ctl00_m_g_99f3303a_dffa_4436_8bfa_3511d9ffddc0_ctl00_ctl05_ctl01_ctl00_ctl00_ctl04_ctl00_ctl00_UserField', this._currentUser.get_loginName(),
    this._currentUser.get_title());
    function onFaiure(sender, args) {
    alert(args.get_message() + ' ' + args.get_stackTrace());
    ExecuteOrDelayUntilScriptLoaded(GetCurrentUserAndInsertIntoUserField, "sp.js");
    </script>

    My school has a website.  The professor uploads files in Word.  When I click on the link at home using Pages, the download window opens with nothing in it and Safari opens with a blank in the address book.  What Could be wrong?  Wrong set up?

    Hi Jo,
    If I'm interpreting this correctly, the Word file downloads correctly, but when you open it in Pages, the link(s) which your instructor has embedded in the Word file are not correctly translated into Pages.
    If the link shows the actual address, you should be able to copy that and paste it into the location bar in Safari, press return, and get to the website that way.
    An alternate route might be to download one of the open source Office applications, OpenOffice.org, LibreOffice, or NeoOffice. These are written to more closely emulate the behaviours of MS Word than Pages, and may provide better support for links embedded in Word files.

    Hi,
    I am facing performance issue while using Set(HashSet) with URL object on linux. But it is running perfectly on windows.
    I am using

    Above particular statement is taking 40 sec on Linux, and only a fraction of ms on windows.
    I have checked the jre version on both OS. It is the same version (jre6)
    on both the OS.
    Could anyone please tell me what is the exact reason, why the same statement is taking more time on linux than windows.
    Thanks & Regards

    I believe the URL hashCode/equals implementations have some /tricky behavior which involves network access in order to run (doing hostname lookups and the like). you may want to either use simple Strings, or possibly the URI class (i think it fixed some of this behavior, although i could be wrong).The second new thing I have learned today. I was wrong in reply # 1 because looking at the URL code for 1.6 I see that the hash code is generated from the IP address and this has a lazy evaluation. Each URL placed in a HashMap (or other hash based collection) requires a DNS lookup the first time the hash code is used.
    P.S. 40 seconds does seem a long time for a DNS lookup!

  • Printing with 'Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0' colour setting to Epson Stylus photo 2100

    I have just upgraded my work Mac (G5 Dual 2ghz PowerPC running OSX 10.5.4 and 6gb Ram) to CS3. Brilliant, except when I came to print out a presentation for a client, it keeps crashing illustrator. It always happens when I try and print to my Epson Stylus Photo 2100 using 'Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0' colour settings. We have previously be using 'Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0' colour settings (as this gets a pretty true colour representation out of our CMYK printer). All the other settings work fine, but lacks the rich colour of the emulated setting. I don't seem to be able to get even close by adjusting the setting in the colour settings panel.
    Does anyone know of a way round this, or of a patch to fix this? I have been checking out the internet, but cant find the Illustrator settings from version 6 (i'm sure it was very basic - but my boss wont except anything but those settings).
    I have tried printing with 'Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0' colour settings to our Lexmark laser printer C522 (basic colour results) but it was able to print. Not sure why it should work on one printer but not another?
    The printer we are using is a Epson Stylus Photo 2100, with the latest driver 3.09.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I wonder if it is a conflict with the system settings or Adobe Bridge settings somewhere. I used to use "Emulate Illustrator 6...", but always had a RIP interpret the information. I can't think of any reason why Illustrator would crash. I'd send Adobe Tech Support a note about it, maybe they can figure out what's going on. By the way, I sometimes switch my settings to "Emulate Illus 6..." and, like you, have had no problems ( but, I'm still in v10 via 10.3.9 ).
