Using Table returned by Web service in Adobe Form

Hi Experts,
I am working on a scenario wherein i am supposed to have a table as a response parameter in a RFC based webservice.
When this web service is stand alone executed it gives back the records in the table.
Now this web service is required to be integrated into the Adobe Interactive Form, On execution of this webservice from the Form, it does not return any result in the table.
Am i missing something?? or is it related to some tricky binding or something??

Please let me know how to authenticate an ABAP based web service in an adobe form being developed in WD Java( done in NWDS by creating a data connection using WSDL of the web service )

Thanks for the response.
My scenario required a completely offline adobe solution wherein once the form created via NWDS is deployed and then stored on the local system, then the form can be used completely offline i.e. on click of submit, it sends the data to SAP R/3 and returns the BAPI output : all this without any web dynpro / WebAS runtime environment.
I was able to successfully do this, the only problem I got was that the web service created in the backend for the function module should have authentication as "none".
And surely this is not a good practice because of security considerations, hence I wished some kind of R/3 authentication in my adobe form.
I will surely try the workaround you have provided.

Error calling web service from Adobe form

Hi Experts,
While calling web service form my adobe form, i was getting an error as below saying "Error attempting to read from the file" followed by the URL of my web service.
To create the above scenario i followed the following steps:
1. Create a Function module and create a web service from that function module.
2. Through SOAMANAGER, download the WSDL file for the generated web service.
3. Create an Adobe form with an empty Interface and create a new Data Connection on the form using the downloaded WSDL.
4. Generate this adobe form using an ABAP report.
Kindly extend help on this to figure out if I'm missing something!!!

Error when calling Web Service from Adobe Form

Hi all,
I need to invoke a Web Service from my Adobe Interactive Form. I have merged the WSDL files, following the steps in this document:

But when I press the corresponding button in order to call the web service, I get the following error:
"Error trying to read file.

It seems to be an error in my configuration, because I'm sure that I have followed all steps in the previous PDF.
Any idea?

Call XI Web Service from Adobe form. URGENT pleaseeee

Help!I need to implement an Adobe Interactive Form, this form has to call / consume a XI Web Service. I 'm able to call a normal web service, I got the "Interactive Forms and Web Service Integration" tutorial. The problem is when the button who calls the XI WS, there is an error: Error when trying to access the file:..............
any idea? I'm sure there is a problem of authentication, but I don't know how to pass these parameters from adobe to the WS. Maybe the data connection creation have to be in a different way....

Return Table empty in Web Service response

Hi All,
My Question is more of related to Web Service. I have created a Web Service from ABAP for BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL. This BAPI is working fine in R/3.
I am using this particular Web Service in Adobe Form (using only ADOBE LIVECYCLE Designer). It's is working fine If i pass the correct Data(Purchase order no.) I'll get the O/p. In case I put a wrong PO number I am not getting the values in return Table in response. (If i test the BAPI in R/3 i m getting a message in Return table that PO no. doesn't exist)
Any Help will be appreciated.
PS; I m using Adobe liveCycle designer 7.1 and Acrobat Professional 9.

Hi,
It is sufficient to make changes in the WebService Definition.
I communicated wrong entries, do make changes like: follow the previous steps and goto the se80 to respective webservice and do make changes in both External View and Internal View, as when you go into these views you'll find under some node "Input" and "Output", here need to do changes in tables present in the "input" and "output" as when you go into "input" or "output" to a respective table there you'll find two sections "External" and "Abap" do edit in Section "External" as Check the checkbox "Exposed" and Uncheck the checkbox "Optional" also "Min Occurr" should be "1" and "Max occurr" should be unbounded.
Make sure in the Adobe Form, for the button which you are calling the webservice, goto the object pallette of that button and goto execute tab and there check the checkbox "Re-merge form data" or if you are invoking the webservice through scripting then you make change the script like"......execute(1)...".

Sending Table data using RFC as a Web services

I want to send ztable data from CRM system using RFC as a web service , but i want to read records only for a particular date and time , so how can i go about this scenario.

Hi Keith,
for that scenario you need two RFC adapter. Of course you can use as well proxies as dicussed before. Forget about webservices.
You told me above that you have z-table? add a date/time field and if a set will be inserted fill those fields with sy-datum / sy-uzeit.
Your CRM select can now easy select only the actual data.
Because of performance i would recommed a asynchron scenario, for example:
A ABAP programm is selecting the data and is calling a module like
CALL function 'myFunction'
DESTINATION 'mySM59'
IN BACKGROUND TASK
This function module is build anywhere and imported into Repository and is working a outbound interface. Inbound interface is a second function module, which is imported from R/3. The ABAP source code of that module put the data to SAP system.
The CRM ABAP programm will be called periodicly by a job.
But!! I dont know ur requirements. Unfortunately you are one of thesse persons, who are asking without giving details. I'm not the prophet...

I solved that url problem. But there is still something I need to ask.
First of all, the solution is the following;
I have implemented my asp.net web service with visual studio, creating web service application. when I implement the project, it shows how to send requests( soap, http ), and there is http post request.( no get ). then I create and http post service with flash builder, the problem was that I needed to add a submit parameter to that service call since this is a post request to asp.net( Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded ). when I add this parameter it works well.
however I want my service to return xml directly. In a different post http://forums.adobe.com/thread/574684?tstart=0 the problem is solved for PHP http requests. but when I try to implement in the same way it gives following error:

I would like to get help from here for my problem.
I have Interactive PDF form. user will enter th data and submit the form to server. In server side I am getting xml format stream.
Now I would like to call a web service from the form instread of .Jsp/.asp/servlet. But I do not know how to do this.
As we know, whem you make webservice call we have to send payload xml data. How do I do this. I tried using data connection for wsdl. this is not connecting at all.

Error "Deserialisation failed" when trying to use BAPI via a web service

I created a web service in BW with the help from the wizard WS_WZD_START. The web service contains
(among others) the RFC BAPI_ODSO_READ_DATA_UC.
The web service runs OK & can be used from the SAP Web Services Navigator.
Now when i try to use the web service from Delphi i get
an error: "Deserialisation failed" (SimpleTransformationFault) "ODSOBJECT erwartet".
The ODSOBJECT parameter is there to be sure.
I saw the same error before in this forum but found no real solution there. I am using BW 6.40 & SP 12.

The same error occurs when I take the exact XML that was sent from Web Services Navigator (the XML that worked) and send that from Delphi.
What could be wrong?

Hi Simon,
Other thing you can do is compare the HTTP requests (including header) from both Delphi and XMLSPY. I suspect if the SOAP message is same in both case the difference might be in the header. But one thing is certain, WAS can not respond differently for same request, don't you think so ?

Migrating a Eclipse Project to JDeveloper and use it as a web service

Hi Guys,
I have a problem with migrating a Eclipse Project (EP) to JDeveloper. I know there are several threads about the problem out there but none of these fit my needs.
So, here is the problem:
I didn't had any problems migrating EPs to JDev in the past but this project is neither a .jar/.lib nor could I change it to one of those types. The project hase some additional filesto work. These files areare libs and owl-mappings for Jena/Pellet ( [http://jena.sourceforge.net/|http://jena.sourceforge.net/] ).
My porblem is that I don't know who to migrate the project to JDev and then use it as a web service, while the file structure stays the same plus everything is uploaded to Oracle as a web service. Meaning everything has to be included in one java package. Or am i wrong?
The file structure looks like this (from the EP):
src\*.java
owl\*.owl
lib\*.lib
location-mapping.n3
expdt.props
The Libraries aren't a problem. They are all .jar-files but could be easily included in the project (JDev) but I don't know how to handle the other files. Especially the much needed owl files :(
Maybe I'm doing it all wrong. My Goal is to use the EP as a web servies for a business process to enforce rulings and obligations. I'm kinda stumped...

I got to a point where I (hopefully) only got a problem with the directory matching (which is needed by jena).

Use of inheritance in web services

Hi,
I'm new to Flex development and have been developing a PPro extension which also uses a couple of web services to obtain information about the media and sequences.
One of the web services I use gives me information about a project. This project contans a list of clipmarks (sub-clips) that will become a sequence in PPro. The problem is that the web service clipmark class is the superclass of either media_clipmark or audio_clipmark, and the items it puts in the list on the server side are of these subclass types. So you get a list of say 3 media_clipmarks.
BUT when then appear in the results in Flex they have been reduced to their common superclass clipmark and thus don't contain any of their specialised properties. Is inheritance of server side class not supported by the proxy generator code in Flash Builder 4? Is there any way to achieve the result I want - that is a list of clipmarks which are either media_clipmarks or audio_clipmarks and get the specialised properties as appropriate?
I am assured that the server is correctly adding these to the project and I assume it is the declaration of the project as having List<clipmark> that is causing the problem.
If this question has already been answered please point me to the relevant answer - couldn't find it by search.
