Using Tabs passing a link with parameter

Is possible to use Tabs with parameters? I created a tab and need to pass a parameter when going to the tab link.

No I haven't set one up anywhere , even then since everything happens internally , there is no way to know what really is happening underneath.
Here's the approach.
Say you have to set two page items P100_ITEM and P100_ITEM2 with the values 'A' and 'B' when a tab is clicked.
<li>What you do is , create a blank page say 110, and let the tab redirect to page 110.
<li>Now that we have reached 100, next task is to redirect to the required page 100 from 110, without really loading 110.
For that, create a branch in Page 110 with a Branch point of "*On Load: Before Header*" , Page is 100
for the "Set these items"
P100_ITEM,P100_ITEM2
With these values
A,BThe branch is just like any you create to set page item except that it runs onload before header.
Now if you try to load page 100, it redirects to page 100. SO when the tab redirects to 110, the branch in 110 takes it to page 100.
Have I made it clear now ?

How to include link with parameter in marketing emails?

Hi, my client wants to send out personalized marketing emails to customers with a link back to the BC site that have a parameter on the end that passes the customer's email address the message was sent to. Then the landing page can parse that email off the end of the URL and insert it into the web form on the page where the customer can update his info, insuring he is using the same email that BC sent the message to rather than supplying a different one.
If you insert a BC tag like {tag_recipientemail} into the body of the message it will replace that tag with the customer's email, but it doesn't work to use that BC tag within the HTML link in the email like this:
<a href="https://mysite.worldsecuresystems.com/birthday?{tag_recipientemail}" > Click Here </a>
That renders the TAG code {tag_recipientemail}on the end of the URL, not the email address.
Anyone found a work around?
If this was a web page I could use javascript to fix this, but of course email clients receiving messages don't allow javascript to run inside them, so this has to be fixed server side by BC.

I suspect the same. That should work in the real campaign. I believe that it doesn't work in the e-mail me functionality because the user you are logged in is not connected to the CRM table, which is where that tag is pulling the info from.

Error in the import tab of form interface with parameter name

and then in a loop i am using this as follows...
t_vbrl into fs_vbrk
after executing check i am getting the error 'T_VBRK" is neither specified under "TABLES" nor defined as an internal table.'
plz help me out with this.....
why this error is occuring?

U cannot loop the import tab i think....Give tat one in tables statement and execute..
t_vbrk type vbrk in Tables tab...

Trying to use form or dynamic link with parameters in a portlet

I have created a dynamic page and published it as a portlet. The dynamic page is my own customization page for a chart.
Ont he same page as the portlet I have the chart I want to customize. I have tried defining the form action as the page itself with the extra custom parameters in the url and I have tried just building up a url and callong that url (if we have a link on the chart names that is what happens and it works). However, it doesn't work.
It should read (and does when I use a javascript alert): http://ogg:7777/servlet/page?_pageid=134,148&_dad=portal30&_schema=PORTAL30&_mode=3&city=Berlin
but instead using a form it reads:
http://ogg:7777/servlet/page?city=Berlin
and using the link building method it reads:
http://ogg:7777/servlet/
What is happening to the link in either case? Why is it being altered? I've left the form action blank and also tried hard coding the URL but still get the same response.

We are doing something similar with our own customization form and the report it affects on the same page. We will also be doing the same thing with charts in the future. It took a great deal of trial and error, but we finally have a technique that works (even if it isn't ideal).

Using "Single Pass" entry point with sequences not named "MainSequence"

Hi,
The object model of TestStand provides clustering of multiple sequences in one sequence file. The editor itself allways knows which sequence the user has actually selected (enrty Run ... in Menu Execute is allways fullfilled with the correct sequence name).
Why isn't there any support of using the entry points of the model with this selected sequence, these sequences use the default "MainSequence" if they are called by the corresponding menu entry of the Execute Menu.
I am looking for any solution to use the entry points (by menu calls) with sequences not named MainSequence as well.
Any ideas?

In the process model entry point "Single Pass", if you look at the sequence context during an execution, you will notice that the sequence that was visible or "selected" at the time of the execution is started is specified under "RunState.InitialSelection.SelectedSequences[0]". You could alter the MainSequence call step in the process model to call that sequence instead. Keep in mind that you will have to decide how to handle the case when no sequence is selected, do you call MainSequence or do nothing?

Can't use tab and esc function with wireless keyboard

I've recently installed the wireless apple keyboard and it works fine when typing emails, etc., but I can't seem to scroll with the arrows, tab through emails, use the ESC button to close email messages, etc. Is this fixable?

I do not know about good specifically, but almost none do. The wireless key board is good for moving around within a text box or a document. But moving around a web page, or anything outside of the text box, is based on screen touch.
So in your case it means type an entry, touch the screen to get to the next box, type and entry. Thats just the way it works.

Printing using raw pass thru mode with PCL 5e

I have an HP LaserJet P3015 printer on our network and have been doing some testing for a company that needs this printer to work.
We have an application that writes using a network connection to pass thru in RAW data mode to the printer device. We use a set of print commands using the PCL 5 control character commands for CR, LF, TOP of Page etc...
With the new printer and drivers, for some reason, we get a blank page printed after each 1 page document we send.
This software has always worked in the past with earlier versions of printers and drivers.
We are using Windows XP.
We are using the LaserJet P3015 PCL 5e drivers
Any help would be appreciated.
PS. We already tried the postscript, universal and PCL6 drivers and they do NOT work.

first of: I haven't tried anything of this myself due to lack of a XBox and/or other applicable devices.
But this Apple article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3924 includes the following paragraph:
+"The Mini DisplayPort in the 27-inch iMac can receive only DisplayPort compliant video and audio signals. Converters not made by Apple may provide options to convert other electrical, video, and audio protocols to Mini DisplayPort compliant signals."+
To me that sounds like what you want to do is indeed possible.
But since Audio-Thru is not an OSX feature you might also have to use the freebie LineIn from RogueAmoeba http://www.rogueamoeba.com/freebies/ to get the audio signal from the MiniDisplay Port-In to the headphone out.

Having problems passing more than one parameter with html:link tag

for my web application I�m using Struts. I�ve got a database with user details. I would like to get users list and link to the details of each user. I wrote the code and everything is working fine only the users list is repeating as many times as users in the list.
For ex: I have in the database User1, User2 and User3. I would like to have a result like:

User3
Instead of it I have the result like:
User1
User2
User3
User1
User2
User3
User1
User2
User3
What I�m doing wrong? Could somebody help me please?

Your first loop loops over each user.
Then your second loop also loops over each user - hence you get number of users * number of users = 3 groups of 3.
If you have 4 users, you would have 4 groups of 4.
I only see you setting one parameter: "usersName" What other parameters do you need to pass?
At a guess, the inner loop is unnecessary, and you want to write the users name as the text for the link, and also use it as a link parameter.

How to run a webdynpro multiple times by passing different parameters each time and save webpages with parameter name?

I am a BW consultant and new to webdynpro. Not sure how to run RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY multiple times and by passing different parameter values each time(either taken from an a standard BW table or user provided - anything is fine) and build web pages with parameter name. Need help with direction on where to start.
Let me step back and explain my requirement:
In BW we have an object called transformation.
One way of generating documentation for transformation is highlight transformation and press F1. Then its documentation will be opened as a local web page.
I need these web pages for all transformations. This is my requirment.
I came to know that RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY is beeing used to generate this web page.
The web link is something like below:

WHere to start? First of all is RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY Webdynpro JAVA or webdynpro ABAP or can i use anything?
Since it is beeing opened as local webpages i assume it is webdynpro JAVa is that correct?

Pass DB Link in procedure as parameter.

I am using ORACLE Database 11g .
I have a procedure in which i am already passing some parameters. The procedure contains few statements in which it has to refer to specific user for getting the data. So we use DB Link. As which user to connect is not sure so the DB LINK is also not constant. That is why i want to pass the DB link as a parameter to procedure. But if i don't give the db link name in procedure the procedure will not compile.
A sample of my code is as follows :-

I think you have some confusion with the data dictionary views you're using, USER_TABLES@remote_db will look for tables in a schema with the same name as the current user in the local database. The current user in the local database has the privileges to read the DBA_ level views in te local data dictionary but apparently isn't the account owning the tables in the remote database.
Is that right? It sounds like a mess. I have to [url https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=10062119#10062119]agree with Billy that you might be trying to solve the wrong problem. Perhaps you need better configuration/release management processes?

How to use the html:link with a arraylist

I want to display the data using struts html:link.
I query the database and place all the data to javabean,later place all the javabean to ArrayList.In Action,I use the "request.setAttribute("lovetable",articlelist) to set request to jsp page.
I want to pass a parameter "id" use the hyperlink so I can get the parameter when I click the hyperlink.
But how to use html:link to display it?
I use <html:link action="viewtopic.do" paramId="id" paramName="lovetable" paramProperty="id"/>,it can't work and Tomcat report error :

The Tag "html:link" need bean to work other than arraylist so I iterate all the bean out.
The Tag "logic:iterate" need collection to work so I make Action return a List.

How to Use Custom Linker with Xcode 4.x?

I am using a customer compiler with Xcode and would like to know how to force Xcode to use my own linker line with custom arguments.
I created a new compiler spec file under:
/Developer/Library/Xcode/PrivatePlugIns/Xcode3Core.ideplugin/Contents/SharedSupp ort/Developer/Library/Xcode/Plug-ins
The default linker is defined in Ld.spec located in:
/Developer/Library/Xcode/PrivatePlugIns/Xcode3Core.ideplugin/Contents/SharedSupp ort/Developer/Library/Xcode/Plug-ins/CoreBuildTasks.xcplugin/Contents/Resources
The following link seems to indicate that what I want to do is possible:

It seems like you have to create a custom Linker spec, give it an identifier, and then have the compiler spec reference your linker spec id by including it in the "RequiredLinker" key.
My compiler spec looks like:

   BasedOn = com.apple.compilers.gcc.4_2;
   Name = "ARMx";
   Version = "4.2";
   Description = "ARMx GCC Cross Compiler";

   RequiredLinker = com.apple.pbx.linkers.armx;
The problem is that Xcode 4.1 still is insisting on using the default Apple linker. I want it to use my ARM based toolchain, which does not support some of the options that Xcode ends up passing on the linker line.

You would be better off using a makefile-based project with custom compilers and linkers.

CANT execute query with parameter on user defined tables using query genera

I have problem when executing query with parameter on user defined tables using query generator.
It seems SBO cannot accept parameter to query user defined tables.
I've tried these:
SELECT T0.U_Status FROM [@ST_PR_H] T0 WHERE T0.U_Status = [%0] --- this FAIL
I try to pass the value directly without using parameter and It works
SELECT T0.U_Status FROM [@ST_PR_H] T0 WHERE T0.U_Status = 2 --- this SUCCESS
This one works
SELECT * FROM RDOC T0 WHERE T0.width =[%0] --- this SUCCESS
and this one works too
SELECT * FROM RDOC T0 WHERE T0.width = 595 --- this SUCCESS

I generated this code using query wizard ....
SELECT T0.[U_Status] AS 'Document Status' FROM [dbo].[@ST_PR_H] T0 WHERE T0.[U_Status] = (N'2' )
and replaced the (N'2' ) with [%0]
SELECT T0.[U_Status] AS 'Document Status' FROM [dbo].[@ST_PR_H] T0 WHERE T0.[U_Status] = [%0]
and It worked ......

Published report with Parameter that changes a link

Is it possible to publish a single report that was designed with the following linking:
invoice.totals -> period.quote
After the report is published, I would like to have a parameter that would change the table link to this:
invoice.totals -> period.final
The format of the report will stay the same except the values will change because the links changed.
Is this possible?

will the code

else invoice.totals -> period.totals
change the link from table invoice.totals -> table period.quote to
table invoice.totals -> period.totals
Remember, I am not looking to create a formula that will trigger which field to use. If the link doesn't change the fields' data are meaningless. I need the links to change before I can start using the fields. But, I want the links to change dynamically on a user request.
