Using the Javabeans Bridge ActiveX

Hello! Can anyone explain me how I use the Javabeans bridge in the Java Plugin? I've downloaded the Plugin 1.4.0_1, but when I execute the command:
java sun.beans.ole.Packager
It fails and return me a error message saying that it can't found the sun/beans/ole/Packager... Need I do the download of this package? Where?
Thanks a lot.

I read an article http://www.reallyusefulcomputing.com/java/tutorial.php that says you have to use between version 1.2 and 1.3.1_04 for the Packager.

  • I am trying to use the Mini Bridge in Adobe Photoshop CS6 (desktop) and all I get is "Waiting for Bridge CS6 ..." in the panel at the bottom of the screen.

I am running on a Core i7 iMac with 20GB or RAM and have already done the two applicable steps in the main Adobe  help area relating to Switchboard (Error: Waiting for Bridge | Mini Bridge panel) to no avail. Any ideas?

Have you tried to start the bridge CS6  then open Photoshop CS6 try to use the mini bridge.
I have a problem on windows too.  Sometimes when I open CS6 version 13.1.2 and try to use the mini bridge Its panels has a message Bridge must be running and there is a launch bridge button. When I use that button Bridge  gets launched but may hangs before displaying its application window or anything in the mini bridge panel.  I can terminate the bridge when this happens with windows task manager and start the bridge. After doing that the mini bridge launch button became a reconnect button using it mini bridge then work.
I can also start Bridge CS6 before  Photoshop CS6 and mini bridge works as soon as Photoshop is up and running.

The method provided does bring the css file into the current environment
However, I need to actually have the pages use the information within the stylesheet
I guess I need to know how to get the css entry into the JSP page
As noted earlier, simply including the (second not counting the master) css file into project and duplicating the "stylesheet.css entry (changing the link1 to link2) causes the application to fail on the "link2" entry
    can anyone help me here..
    Thanks

I've tested all the kernels > 3.15.8  but they seem to create the error above. My questions are
Was there a change in the linux kernel options from 3.15.8?
Am I using / missing a module that I shouldn't / should be using for my cpu?
Last edited by acothi (2014-10-06 02:49:39)

    Hi acothi,
I was getting the same error message for months. Linux kernel 3.16.3-1 finally fixed it for me. My system: Intel Ivy-Bridge i5-3570K CPU + Intel DH77DF Mobo with latest BIOS (dated 2013). Please update to latest kernel in [Core] and report back. However, I don't think that your SD card slot issues are directly related to this error message. I also recommend installing linux-lts kernel and adding a bootloader entry, so you can still be productive, even if the latest Linux kernel doesn't fix it for you.
Afaik, this error has nothing to do with kernel options, but was introduced by a usual kernel commit (and seems to be fixed upstream).
    Cheers,
    Tolga

  • How to use the Microsoft RDP ActiveX with span or multimon options ?

Since windows Vista, the Microsoft RDP support a /span option that allows to do remote desktop on multiple monitor.  In windows 7 and Server 2008, another option are availble to support /multimon which allows even more complex layout.  I checked the help you provided about the available parameters and the only one ou provide are these :
geometry - the size of the client screen, WxH. To start the applet in  FullScreen mode use this paramter depending on your screen size , for eg:  'geometry=1024x768'.
bpp - bits per pixel, 8|16|24|32
    domain - logon domain
    username - username for logon
password - password for logon. Use with care - this value is used at  the client side, and can be observed.
RedirectDrives - set to true to map remote drives locally
RedirectPrinters - set to true to map remote printers locally
FullScreen - set to true to start in FullScreen mode
Is it possible to know if more hidden parameter can be used to do remote desktop like the "mstsc /span" command line ?
    Thanks a lot !

  • Problem to connect to mysql from servlet using a javabean

    Hi,
I'm new here and beginner on java to.
I have problem to connect to MySql database, by a connection javabean.
It's the following: a HTML page calls a servlet and this servlet imports the package connection javabean.
It has no problem when I establish the connection inside the servlet, with all its methods (public and private). But i want to separate the code connection from servlet.
Detail: there is no problem, using the javabean to connect to MS Access database.
I put "mysql-connector-java-3.1.12-bin.jar" file inside WEB-INF/lib application and common/lib directories.
    I set the classpath:
    SET CLASSPATH=%CATALINA_HOME%\COMMON\LIB\mysql-connector-java-3.1.12-bin.jar;%CLASSPATH%
I think that the servlet cannot create an instance of javabean, because passed by catch exception of the servlet init method.
    But I don't know why.
    Please Why?
Below there are the fragment of errors, servlet code e javabean code.
    Thank you.

  • Error when opening page with the web browser activex

I have downloaded the example for using the web browser activeX component to display a web page. It basically works, but it keeps returning an error (from NI's web site) that I don't see when opening the site from IE. The message I get is:
Are there things that need to be initialized when calling the browser in this way?

    Mike,
It looks like ni.com is not supplying that particular console object which is causing an issue with the embedded instance of IE9. Every other website I've tried works correctly. I've looked around the ActiveX methods to intercept and ignore this error, but I haven't found anything yet.

  • Connecting 2 WLS 7 servers via the Messaging Bridge

    Hi,
I am trying to use the messaging bridge to post messages received on a
source JMS queue running in one WLS instance to a destination queue running
on another target WLS instance. I have followed the instructions in the
admin guide and performed the following:
              - defined in the source WLS instance 2 JMS bridge destinations - one for the
source queue and one for the target queue
              - defined the bridge between the 2 destination, using the jms-xa-adp.rar
              - deployed the jmx-xa-adp.rar adapter to the source WLS instance
              - enabled the XA connection factory (had to define a new connection factory
              to do this)
              - made sure that both WLS instances have the system user configured with the
              same password
When the source WLS instance starts up, the following is logged to the
              console:
              weblogic.jms.common.JMSException: Connection not found

and any messages sent to the source queue just sit there.
What might I be missing? Am I correct that the configuration of the bridge
and destinations takes place at the source WLS instance (as this is posting
the messages to the target WLS) - the documentation seems to me a bit
              ambiguous in this regard.
              Thanks,
              Stanley.

I am afraid that you'll have to enable security interoperability for
the bridge to work across two domains. Making the password for
system user is not enough. You have to disable generated credential
for both domains. For details, please look at the following link:
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs70/adminguide/msgbridge.html#1078380
Please also note that this requirement has been removed in 8.1 release and
              7.0SP3.
              Thanks

  • Using JMS Messaging Bridge in BPEL

    Hi
I wanted to create a bpel process to put a message on to a JBoss queue on an external system.
I could see from many forums that JMS Messaging bridge is a suitable option to go ahead. I could create new JMS destinatiosn and a JMS bridge on top of that.
Can some once help me out with a sample bpel process inidcating how to use the JMS bridge within the bpel prpcess.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
You can define the same queue in both domains.
In domain A ( the source ) create the Origin of bridge
In domain A too ( the source) create the destination of bridge ( pointing to address and port of domain B)
In domain A create the bridge ( joining source and destination )
In domain A , deploy the connector ... a .rar file
    Best Regards

PD: this doesn?t affect the code of your app.

  • The misery of one developer using the ActiveX Bridge

    Hi,
I'm not sure that anyone will know how to solve my problems, but I can at least complain.
In our firm we have used the ActiveXBridge to wrap an OrbixWeb (CORBA) client. All was written in VB Java 1.3. Please don't discuss these choices it is not the point and not my choices anyway..
Now We are migrating to 1.5. And here are the problems I have encountered:
    1. The architecture has changed. Now there are Dll instead of TLD that are generated.
    2. It is not possible to change the name of the ActiveX when generating.
    3. The JRE that is used is always the public JRE!!!.
    4. The security restriction blocks the reading of system properties or files, which was done by the former dll.
    5. The solution found was to sign the jar.
    6. ORB dynamic instantiation does not work well with the class loader used by the plugin. Even if the actual implementation of the ORB is deployed, the JRE complains that the class is not available.
    7. The solution was -> install the orbixWeb jar in the ext folder :-(
    8. Unfortunately even with this and a java.policy that indicates that all the jar in the ext folder are given all permission, the instantiation does not work : System.getProperties is not allowed (even if this jar is signed)..
    9. Solution was to add the global permission to read/write properties :--(
    10. ORB are good at connecting to other servers.. then this also was not allowed
    11. Solution was to remove all global security setting (sigh)
    12. The program was still not working.. because I was using the java.security.debug options and this interfered with the logs of the javaBean.
If someone has good ideas on how to avoid the solutions used in point
    3. 7. 11.
3 <- Bug (or feature of the bridge?)
    7. <- Misunderstanding on how the security works by me, or how to change the class loader for the activeX
    11 <- security misunderstanding? bug?
Anyway the bridge was weak, and 1.5 made it worse.

    Hi,
As far as I understand your requirement, you want to pass the result of one query to another query as a filter.
Well you can do this, by Using Replacement Path Variable.
For e.g. you want to pass Values of Custmomer Account Number to another query. In the second query, create one variable on Customer Account Number with type Replacment Path. Here it will ask you to enter the name of the query from which you would like to take the values of Customer Account Number.
When you will run the second query , it will execute the first query from which you want to read the customer accoutn number in the back-end. And it willl display the output the second query as per the valeus of customer account number.
    This will help.
