Using the same instance of a BADI in another transaction

Hello Everyone,
I have a SAP standard transaction which has an authorization BADI implemented. I developed another report which is  similar to the before mentioned SAP report with a different transaction. The same BADI is called in the custom report also, because of a common function module (which has this BADI call). So, that means, the same instance of BADI is being called in the custom report also. The authorizations to display the data for both the transactions should be same.
Should I specifically call this BADI again in custom report or will all the authorizations be linked to the new transaction as well?
Thank you all in advance.
Rushi

The BADI call is nothing but a call to specific methods in the customer BADI implementation. So it should work from wherever it is called, even from customer programs copied from standard SAP code where the original call is made.
But I wonder why do you need to make a copy of SAP code.

    I'm not sure does I understand your requirement good?
    But if so:
    You have 2 computers and from both you want to access one single Oracle database.
    If this correct then you need only on one machine to install XE Server and on another machine ONLY XE Client.
    After that you need to copy tnsnames.ora file from computer where XE server resides to according directory where XE client resides.

  • How to use multiple profiles within the same instance of Thunderbird

    About a month ago, I had Thunderbird configured with three profiles,
    and all three could be used within a single startup/instance of
    Thunderbird. That PC is now gone. I have re-configured the three
    profiles on a new PC, but am having trouble making all three
    useable within the same instance of Thunderbird. Can you help?
    Both PCs are/were Windows-7 64 bit.

    Thunderbird only opens on the default if one profile
    or
    if Profile Manager is instructed to ask at startup it will allow you to choose which Profile to open else it opens on the last Profile used..
    So it shows one Profile at a time in one instance of Thunderbird.
    However, one Profile can have many mail accounts.
    eg: I run 4 mail accounts in one Profile.

  • Is it possible to use the same OSSO/OID for multiple R11 and R12 instances?

    Hello guru's,
    We have multiple R11and R12 instances that should be configured for Oracle SSO 10.1.4.3. For OID, we are still trying to decide between OID 10.1.4.3, or OID 11g. OAM is not an option because we also also need OSSO integration with Siteminder. We will also need to SSO-enable Discoverer an Forms.
    I have successfully configured SSO for a single-instance EBS R12, but not for multiple instances, let alone include R11 and other components into the mix.
    Do you have any special tips, guidance or lessons learned when SSO-enabling multiple instances into the same SSO/OID?
    Thanks!
    Maria

    Interestingly, the article talks about using the same SSO/OID for EBS, JD Edwards, Peoplesoft multiple R11 instances, but did not mention 'multiple EBS versions'. Am I just being picky or there was a reason for it not being mentioned?In Steven Chan blog (in the same link), see the following:
    Comprehensive Single Sign-On Solution+
    If you have one or more E-Business Suite Release 11i instances and are tired of maintaining users separately for each environment, you can create a central OracleAS 10g environment and manage all 11i users in one place.
    If you have a combination of PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and the E-Business Suite in your organization, you can use OracleAS 10g to manage users for all three environments centrally.
    If you have a combination of the E-Business Suite and custom applications based on Oracle databases or OracleAS 10g technology, you can use OracleAS 10g to manage users for all applications in a single place.
    Thanks,

  • Using the same correlation set to multiple instances of the same process

    Hi all,
    Assuming that I have a Purchase Order with multiple items and I have a BPEL process that is triggered for each item.
    When the Purchase Order is cancelled by the customer, I want to cancel all BPEL process that is still running. I'm using SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.
    My first attempt was to use an event handler associated to a cancellation operation, but I couldn't do this because when the second BPEL instance was started, a conflictingReceive BPEL Fault is triggered. This occurs because BPEL can't have more than one active receive/on message using the same correlation set.
    Another way to do this is using a different correlation set for each instance (somethig like a composite key - Purchase Order ID + Item ID, i.e), but in this way I need to know all composite key in advance and send one message to each instance specifically.
    Anyone have any suggestion of how to cancel more then one instance of the same BPEL process using Event or a generic way that does not need to send one message for each instance?
    Events work very well to start more then one BPEL process but does not work well to receive an intermediate message during process execution because in this case we need correlation set to associate the event with the correct instance and BPEL does not support more then one instance of the same BPEL process waiting for the same correlation set.
    Any suggestion will be very welcome.
    Thanks in advance,
    Rafael

  • Are new MB replacements using the same batch of bad 8600M chips?

    My Macbook Pro Santa Rosa from 2007 just died yesterday. I brought it in for Logic Board replacement. It'll cost some days of productivity. But two things occur to me:
    1. Do these replacement logic board use the same batch of dodgy nVidia 8600M chips? If that's the case, then anyone getting them replaced is essentially getting a chip that will eventually fail again within 2-3 years. And that's just not a real solution but just a temporary fix. It looks likely because one of my friends had his replacement Logic Board fail within 8 months of its replacing.
    2. While the extension of coverage for this problem is a generous gesture on Apple's part, people who have invested in Applecare are not getting any real benefits for this issue from their investment. They're going to be just as much in the cold as everyone else once support is EOL on this item. Shouldn't there be an extension of Applecare as well? Or maybe a discount on a newer model?
    I really expected this investment to work at least 6-8 years. Now it looks like it's closer to 4. I'm very nervous about using a machine that I know will at some point just fail again. And I'm just not in a position to sell this one and buy a newer one.

    If you read the support documentation, you learn they "may" use refurbished parts. But that does not mean necessarily it would be the same bad batch.
    It would certainly not reflect well on them if it is a bad batch. However, if your read my FAQ*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/badram.html
    You'll learn it is more an art than a science to identify all quality memory chips. So while one can't guarantee there aren't additional chips that are not bad, it is more unlikely that chips that were definitely bad in the first plcae were recycled into your refurbished board.
    So be prepared with some backup, in event something does fail*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html
    And yes, there are many machines that do last 8 years, even from
    the more current machines. A lot depends on usage, and if you have power issues*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/frayguide.html
    and if you ensure the machine is on a surface where it is less likely to overheat.
    If you get repeated failure of repairs, you should insist on getting a replacement Mac when next contacting AppleCare.

  • Using datapump in the same instance

    Hi
    I need to copy a schema within the same instance. If I was creating the schema in a different instance I could use network mode to complete the operation in a single step without creating files etc. Is there an equivalent process to copy/remap a schema within the same instance?
    It would seem odd to have to create a file for copying locally when copying over a network requires none.
    Obviously there is the possibility of creating a link from the instance back to itself but that should be unnecessary.
    My apologies if I have missed it in the documentation and searching the forums but any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers

  • Two Instances of Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.x using the same DB

    I can't seem to find any documentation about installing two instances of Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.x using the same database.
    Would the two instances conflict? Should I create a separate database for each instance? I am attempting to cluster two application servers and I want to know if I will need multiple databases, I can't see a reason why this would be a problem.
    Any advice on this matter would be appreciated.

    You have probably downloaded the wrong version.
    Do not download the Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.5.1) for WebLogic Server (10.3.1),
    but the one below that option: Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.x)
    See if you get something like the following zip file: soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1.zip
    This is just the OC4J without the WebLogic Server.

  • Connecting to two database instances using the same Toplink

    Hi,
    We are trying to create a process using BPEL where data from one database instance needs to be passed to the other. The process is compiling properly and we could deploy it in BPEL Process Manager. But when we try to run the process, the data is not getting inserted into the second instance. There is no error /exception being thrown at most of the time, but at times we are getting a 'Unique constraint error' eventhough there is no duplication of data.
    Can we connect to two different instances using the same toplink. How can we achieve this.
    Thanks in advance

  • Would the ir censor go bad if the hard drive cable went bad sens they bout use the same cable?

    what happend was that i have an intel ssd 80GB. i was installing a water colling system to my tower so i had to unplug my ssd. ones i had installed my water cooling sytem to my wotwer i pluged in my  sdd but it didnt work like if it had died. so i swipet out my macbooks hard drive for the ssd  to see if my macbook would reconise the hard drive in the utility but it didnt, and when i put my macbooks hard drive back in. the hard drive dosent get any power. you cant hear it turn on or anything. what i desisded to do is use the enclouser that you use for the optical drive and my mac boots up fine, could  my hard drive cable gone bad? if so why does the IR cencor work if they bouth use the same cable and end up in the same conector. i have a macbook pro mid 2009 5,5

    2009 MacBook Pros are notorious for having sub-standard SATA cables. I'm 99% certain that's your problem. Even though the IR sensor is on the cable, that doesn't mean that the cable is good - nor does it mean that it's not faulty if it will boot with a hard drive but not with a SSD - SSDs are simply more 'needy' when it comes to a good SATA cable.
    Visit www.ifixit.com and find the Apple part number and search for the item on eBay - much cheaper than buying from ifixit; although ifixit will have the instructions for installing the cable.
    Good luck,

  • E-Recruiting & HCM in the same instance -- E-Recruiting

    If E-Rec and HCM are in the same instance, how do you transfer employees to E-Rec, so they can log-in as internal candidates.
    How do you hire external candidates into HCM ie: can we stil use PA-48 and PA-40
    XI is not available

    Hello Victor,
    for creating internal candidates for all existing employees you use the report HRALXSYNC. This report triggers the HR BP integration and uses some e-rec specific BAdI implementations to create the necessary objects. In production this report has to be planned daily, too.
    You should check SAP note 997181. This note has attachments which dscribe the mechanisms of HR-E-Recruiting integration for same instance and standalone installations. These documents are very helpfull for a start into this topic and highlight the differences in the releases currently supported by sap. Here you find e.g. the BAdI implementations which have to be activated.
    Small hint: If your HR system is an installation which has been already running for some years you should check some BP settings before testing HRALXSYNC. From my experience there are some things which appear quite often and prevent the report from running properly:
    - make sure the number range for BP numbers is maintained
    - make sure the address usage XXDEFAULT is existing
    - check that table GEOT005 is filled in the client you use
    Kind Regards
    Roman

  • How can I have use the same div ID multiple times on the same page?

    Okay so a problem I encounter a lot is that often times I want to use the same div ID several times on the same page. An example of this is when I'm creating table like designs.
    Let's say for instance I create a div ID called 'product-container'. I want to use 'product-container' multiple times on the same page but if I do this it is improper XHTML and will throw errors in any XHTML validator (you are only allowed to use a div ID once on any XHTML page in order for it to be standards compliant).
    Now the first option is that I could define 'product-container' in my CSS style sheet multiple times by doing something like this...
    #product-container {
         width: 300px;
    #product-container-2 {
         width: 300px;
    #product-container-3 {
         width: 300px;
    #product-container-4 {
         width: 300px;
    What you will see there however is that it seems pointless to define the same ID numerous times over (just adding a number on the end) when each ID is the exact same thing and has the exact same attributes.
    Now what I have noticed is that there are some sites out there who manage to have the same ID appear several times in the code but add a number to it just like above. The difference is that they only have one definition for 'product-cointainer' in their CSS document but in their actual XHTML code they have IDs for 'product-container' but with numbers on the end like 2,3,4,5, etc. It's almost as if JavaScript or some other code is automatically appending a number on the end of the ID so the validator won't consider the markup to be invalid, but yet it knows that it's using the same 'product-container' style that is contained in the CSS style sheet.
    I hope I explained this correctly. I'm just hoping to find a way that I can put the same div ID on a page multiple times without having to define it over and over again in my CSS.
    Any help is much appreciated!

    Because it seems like by using a class you can't make this position as
    well as you can by using an ID. Am I wrong?
    An ID name can be used only one time per page.  A class name can be used multiple times per page.
    .product {
    width: 300px;
    text-align:left;
    color: #FF0000
    border: 2px solid #666;

  • Can I use the "same" button multiple times for multiple galleries?

    OK so I am extremely untrained in CS4 and Actionscript. However I have managed to get along fairly well until I started to dynamically upload images as a gallery. This works great if I have one gallery, but for my site I have 9 galleries!!! I'm still a novice with Flash myself, but I have two comments.
    First, at this point, won't your buttons control all galleries at the same time? Which means, if I go to image 5 in one gallery, then move to another gallery, I'll start at image 5, because the actions are all connected.
    Second, you can definitely use the same buttons for multiple galleries. It seems to me that as long as you've assigned the buttons an instance name, these actions should already work to control all the galleries (see the note above). I guess I would need to understand a bit more about how your project is built.

    Nothing personal to you or Rajshee, but this is exactly why I absolutely despise these "community forums" (not just Adobe but any company).  I called the Tech Support phone line today after digging and digging for a phone number, and they told me the exact opposite, and they did it a lot faster than it was possible to get a forum response.  (That's really not personal, because you can't control that, but it's a fact.)
    Their answer: As long as I'm signed in with the same ID, I can try, say, Photoshop CC on my iMac at home and also try Acrobat Pro CC on my Windows 7 machine at work.  Same account, same login, one trial.
    This makes complete sense to me as I'm financially on the hook (potentially) for the same package.  If I give away my login to someone else, which I wouldn't do, I'm still on the hook.  This is why the cloud approach to software is such genius and I applaud it.
    BTW, 99% of the "community forum" wrong answers come on Microsoft sites, so don't feel bad.

  • How Many Times Can I Use The Same Serial Number For Adobe Creative Suite 4?

    I have design standard and was told I can use the same serial number on multiple computers. How many time can I use it? And say I install it on the maximum number of computers, but get a new computer, can I uninstall it on one of the old computers and use it on the new one? And can I use the programs on both computers simultaneously or do I have to use them one at a time?

    Fred Tech wrote:
    Broadly speaking, it depends on the type of license you have.
    Specifically, if you have a single license then officially, you should only install it once on one computer.
    Practically, (unless it has changed with CS4) you maybe able to install it on more then one computer, BUT can only run one instance of the software at a time. You can not run more then one instance of the software concurrently; i.e. you can't run Dreamweaver on Computer 1 and Photoshop on Computer 2. That would be two instances, and is not permitted.
    This is my understanding. I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong
    Fred
    Sorry Fred you are wrong.
    If you have a single license you can install it on as many computers as you like. you can only activate the suite on two computers at anyone time. Work and Home or as many of us do it Desktop and Laptop. You can not use the computers simultaneously. You only have 20 activation/deactivations so use them wisely. Student versions only have one activation. You can not break up the suite installs the suite is considered one application.
