Using xfa.resolveNode with tables

I use xfa.resolveNode when working with fields in a subform.  I am trying to do the same with a subform in a row in a table, but am getting a null error.  Can I use xfa.resolveNode to refer to a field in a table e.g. xfa.resolveNode("subform.field")?
Thanks for any assistance with this.

  • Using Text Predicates with table aliases

Is there any way to use text predicates with the CONTAINS operator against an event based on a table alias? Just trying to add the function "Contains" to the event struct doesn't work, and reading through the developer's guide, it looks like I need to manually construct an attribute set and add an exf$text attribute for it to work.
The note in the docs says "The attribute sets consisting of one or more text attributes have to be assembled using the ADD_ELEMENTARY_ATTRIBUTE procedure and they cannot be created from an existing object type" and even if I created an attribute set from my table-alias-based event struct and added a new exf$text attribute to it, I can't see how the data would get from the table column into that attribute for evaluation. Is this use case unsupported?

    > {quote:title=user10427457 wrote: The reasons why I'm going to all this trouble are because 1) I'd like to keep my rules together and avoid having to have a separate rule class for the text-search rules, and 2) doing an object-based rule where I pass the CLOB in would prevent me from being able to use the CONTEXT index, which enables me to use other operators like WITHIN SENTENCE in my rules.
    > }{quote}
Text feature has two types of indexes - CONTEXT and CTXRULE. CONTEXT index is ideal for searching for a document that matches a given query pattern. CTXRULE is used to identify a query pattern that matches a given document. Your application is best suited for CTXRULE and not the CONTEXT index. The Expression Filter automatically uses the CTXRULE index for attributes that are identified as Text attributes (using exf$text). This way you can write a single expression involving scalar attributes as well as text predicates and match them against instances of the event structure. Please read the following chapters for a better understanding of this functionality.
    Document classification - CTXRULE:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14117_01/text.101/b10729/classify.htm
    Expression Filter with CTXRULE:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b31088/exprn_spatialpred.htm#CHDDBICC
In short, you should be able to create a Text attribute in the object-based event structure and expect the Expression Filter to automatically make use of CTXRULE index when appropriate.

  • Getting an error message while trying to use a ZTABLE with TABLES statement

    Hi All,
I wanted to use a ZTable with the TABLES statement, but it is throwing an error saying " Ztable must be a flat structure. you cannot use internal tables, strings, references or structures as components."
What might be the reason for this error??
    Thanks in advance.

This Ztable, is this a transparent table (structure) or is it a table type?
In case of table type, you should use USING or CHANGING parameter.
Might be better to paste part of your code here, and do not forget to tell how this Ztable is defined (Data dictionary or even local type).

  • How to use %Type declaration with table residing in a different database

How can I use the %TYPE declaration if the table is from a different database.
    E.g
    v_business_unit ps_jrnl.header.business_unit%TYPE;
In the above declaration statement, the table 'ps_jrnl_header' resides in a different database(Database A) from the one I am currently in( Database B).(This is because data needs to be extracted from Database A into Database B).

    1. Create a database link to the other database (this probably already exists since your proc is interacting with that database)
    2. Create a synonym for the table in the other database
create synonym foo for ps_jrnl.header@database_a;3. Reference the synonym in your variable declaration:
    v_business_unit  foo.business_unit%TYPE;

You need to use the transaction UCCHECK.
    The report documentation is here
    ABAP Unicode Scan Tool UCCHECK
You can use transaction UCCHECK to examine a Unicode program set for syntax errors without having to set the program attribute "Unicode checks active" for every individual program. From the list of Unicode syntax errors, you can go directly to the affected programs and remove the errors. It is also possible to automatically create transport requests and set the Unicode program attribute for a program set.
Some application-specific checks, which draw your attention to program points that are not Unicode-compatible, are also integrated.
    Selection of Objects:
The program objects can be selected according to object name, object type, author (TADIR), package, and original system. For the Unicode syntax check, only object types for which an independent syntax check can be carried out are appropriate. The following object types are possibilities:
    PROG Report
    CLAS Class
    FUGR Function groups
FUGX Function group (with customer include, customer area)
FUGS Function group (with customer include, SAP area)
    LDBA Logical Database
    CNTX Context
    TYPE Type pool
    INTF Interface
Only Examine Programs with Non-Activated Unicode Flag
By default, the system only displays program objects that have not yet set the Unicode attribute. If you want to use UCCHECK to process program objects that have already set the attribute, you can deactivate this option.
    Only Objects with TADIR Entry
By default, the system only displays program objects with a TADIR entry. If you want to examine programs that don't have a TADIR entry, for example locally generated programs without a package, you can deactivate this option.
    Exclude Packages $*
By default, the system does not display program objects that are in a local, non-transportable package. If you want to examine programs that are in such a package, you can deactivate this option.
    Display Modified SAP Programs Also
By default, SAP programs are not checked in customer systems. If you also want to check SAP programs that were modified in a customer system (see transaction SE95), you can activate this option.
    Maximum Number of Programs:
To avoid timeouts or unexpectedly long waiting times, the maximum number of program objects is preset to 50. If you want to examine more objects, you must increase the maximum number or run a SAMT scan (general program set processing). The latter also has the advantage that the data is stored persistently. Proceed as follows:
    - Call transaction SAMT
    - Create task with program RSUNISCAN_FINAL, subroutine SAMT_SEARCH
For further information refer to documentation for transaction SAMT.
Displaying Points that Cannot Be Analyzed Statically
If you choose this option, you get an overview of the program points, where a static check for Unicode syntax errors is not possible. This can be the case if, for example, parameters or field symbols are not typed or you are accessing a field or structure with variable length/offset. At these points the system only tests at runtime whether the code is sufficient for the stricter Unicode tests. If possible, you should assign types to the variables used, otherwise you must check runtime behavior after the Unicode attribute has been set.
To be able to differentiate between your own and foreign code (for example when using standard includes or generated includes), there is a selection option for the includes to be displayed. By default, the system excludes the standard includes of the view maintenance LSVIM* from the display, because they cause a large number of messages that are not relevant for the Unicode conversion. It is recommended that you also exclude the generated function group-specific includes of the view maintenance (usually L<function group name>F00 and L<function group name>I00) from the display.
Similarly to the process in the extended syntax check, you can hide the warning using the pseudo comment ("#EC *).
    Applikation-Specific Checks
These checks indicate program points that represent a public interface but are not Unicode-compatible. Under Unicode, the corresponding interfaces change according to the referenced documentation and must be adapted appropriately.
    View Maintenance
Parts of the view maintenance generated in older releases are not Unicode-compatible. The relevant parts can be regenerated with a service report.
    UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD
The function modules UPLOAD, DOWNLOAD or WS_UPLOAD and WS_DOWNLOAD are obsolete and cannot run under Unicode. Refer to the documentation for these modules to find out which routines serve as replacements.

  • Can EJB 3.0 beans be used with tables that do not have a primary key?

Can a EJB 3.0 persistence bean be used with tables that do not have a primary key defined? I am building a test application based on the HowTo - Building EJB 3.0 Faces App paper posted after Openworld (schalk). The issue I am running into when trying to run the application is: Exception Description: Entity class [class com.persistence.Rpthead] has no primary key specified. Note: I get a simular error when using toplink directly.
The tables I am binding to do not have primary keys defined. They use unique constraints to manage the table integrity.
Is it possible to use EJB 3.0 on tables without a primary key? If not, are there plans to support this in the future?

The spec requires a primary key Id annotation. I will take your suggestion to EJB 3.0 expert group.
Can you also send an email to [email protected] with your requirement?

    Hi,
If you do not want to specify it as hard code, then define a variable for it if you want to pass the value for it from the selection screen so that it will be dynamic. Code will be as follows.
    select-options: x_KSCHL for T685l-KSCHL.
    select kwert
               kbetr

  • Regarding the count(*) while using with table alias

    Hi,
I have question in Count(*). Will it work with table allias.
It works when I use like below
"select count(*) po_header_id from po_headers_all" -- its working perfectly
but , when i queried like below its not working,
"select count(*) poh.po_header_id from po_headers_all poh"
I like you guys to clarify my query.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Uvaraja

the words you write just after a column or an expression or a function will become an ALIAS and aliases don't have any table or scheme.
select count(*) RRRR from mytable;RRRR is an alias in this example. maybe you have a column called RRRR in the table but this is not it. so you can not put your table name as prefix to it. mytable.RRRR will indicate the column not alias. if it doesn't include a dot, it could be used as alias but dot is violating naming rules.
    you could do that:
select count(*) "mytable.RRRR" from mytable;now, "mytable.RRRR" becomes your alias.

    Hi,

For parallel processing the documentation suggests the use of automatic degree of parallelism (determined by the system at run time) or choosing a power of 2 value
Look at Florian's post in yours presently neighbour post How to Delete Duplicate rows from a Table to locate the violations (seemingly due to parallel processing)

  • Access table cells using tab key with iterators

    Hi,
I use a tableview with iterator and allow users to mouseclick certain column cells. I capture these user interactions using server event "onCellClick". But I cannot access these cells using tab key instead of mouse click. But tab key is a must for visibly challenged users.      Is there any way to access table cells using tab keys (with iterators)?
I use icons in those cells to replace  check box and change the icons to differentiate checked/unchecked status.

    Hi Craig,
    Thanks for your effort.
But I was able to solve my problem. I don't think I gave all the information to simulate my problem in your environment. I used images in certain table cells and was not able to access those cells using tab key or access key. Tag <b><img></b> doesn't have the attributes <b>tabindex</b> and <b>access key</b>.
I solved the problem by surrounding the <b><img></b> by anchor tag <<b>A>,</b> which has both attributes. I did these changes within the iterator method <b>RENDER_CELL_START</b> using CL_BSP_BEE_TABLE.
In the event handling, I had to do separate processing for  mouse click event and key press event for those cells.
    For visibly challenged users:
They can access those cells by tab key or access key and the key press event is used to capture when they hit enter key.
So this problem is irrelevant to service packages (SP38,..).
