Using XQilla XQuery Extension Functions in BDBXML

Hello
How i can use xqilla:parse-json function in BDBXML?
http://xqilla.sourceforge.net/ExtensionFunctions
Thx,
Vitaliy

Vitaliy,
Because it's in XQilla you can just use it. If there are issues it is not available for Oracle-based support but those working on XQilla will likely investigate.
Here's an example that just returns the XML mapping of some simple JSON:
dbxml> query xqilla:parse-json('{"menu": {
"id": "file",
"value": "File",
"popup": {
"menuitem": [
{"value": "New", "onclick": "CreateNewDoc()"},
{"value": "Open", "onclick": "OpenDoc()"},
{"value": "Close", "onclick": "CloseDoc()"}
1 objects returned for eager expression 'xqilla:parse-json('{"menu": {
"id": "file",
"value": "File",
"popup": {
"menuitem": [
{"value": "New", "onclick": "CreateNewDoc()"},
{"value": "Open", "onclick": "OpenDoc()"},
{"value": "Close", "onclick": "CloseDoc()"}
dbxml> print
<json type="object"><pair name="menu" type="object"><pair name="id" type="string">file</pair><pair name="value" type="string">File</pair><pair name="popup" type="object"><pair name="menuitem" type="array"><item type="object"><pair name="value" type="string">New</pair><pair name="onclick" type="string">CreateNewDoc()</pair></item><item type="object"><pair name="value" type="string">Open</pair><pair name="onclick" type="string">OpenDoc()</pair></item><item type="object"><pair name="value" type="string">Close</pair><pair name="onclick" type="string">CloseDoc()</pair></item></pair></pair></pair></json>
Here's an example that queries the parsed JSON:
dbxml> query xqilla:parse-json('{"menu": {
"id": "file",
"value": "File",
"popup": {
"menuitem": [
{"value": "New", "onclick": "CreateNewDoc()"},
{"value": "Open", "onclick": "OpenDoc()"},
{"value": "Close", "onclick": "CloseDoc()"}
}}')//pair[.="CreateNewDoc()"]
1 objects returned for eager expression 'xqilla:parse-json('{"menu": {
"id": "file",
"value": "File",
"popup": {
"menuitem": [
{"value": "New", "onclick": "CreateNewDoc()"},
{"value": "Open", "onclick": "OpenDoc()"},
{"value": "Close", "onclick": "CloseDoc()"}
}}')//pair[.="CreateNewDoc()"]'
dbxml> print
<pair name="onclick" type="string">CreateNewDoc()</pair>
Have fun -- it's quite experimental at this stage.

George

  • How to use XQuery Exist() Function on a SSIS XML file

    I have a Package Inventory table that has an XML Column named CurrentPackageXML. This XML column contains the SSIS Package XML. I need to use the XQuery Exist() function to determine if the
    errorRowDisposition="IgnoreFailure" exists.
    Below I have a basic SQL statement, but I have no idea how to write the Correct XQuery Expression. In my example below, I just tried to see if the DTS:Name Property existed, but that XQuery Expression is invalid also. It is not what I need in the end, but
    I was just trying to get anything to work.
    Below my SQL, I have included a snip-it of the SSIS package XML where I can find the errorRowDisposition. It is to the far right, so you may have to scroll to the right to see it. I bolded the text so it is easier to find.
    Finally, once I have got a SQL statement that checks if errorRowDisposition exists = False, I need to check for every occurrence of  errorRowDisposition exists = False.
    Would there be an easier way to do this by converting the XML to a varchar(max) then searching for all instances of  errorRowDisposition exists = False?

    Try this and let know what errors you get.  Note, this is a rough draft of one of a series of queries that I have started writing to document SSIS using SQL XQuery.  I read a file in my version (the one I tested) and get the results.

  • Where to put property files used by XSLT extensions?

    Still fighting with Java XSLT extensions. I have narrowed the
    problem down: my XSLT extension cannot find its property file,
    which I use to store JDBC connect strings etc.
    What is the proper directory to put this file so the XSLT
    extension class can find it? I am using Oracle HTTP Server with
    XDK 9.0.

    Thanks for the answer, Steve!
    Depends on what call you're using in your extension function to
    read your properties.Maybe I tried a too simplistic approach. I'm just using this:
    Properties props = new Properties();
    try {
    props.load(new FileInputStream("/foo.properties"));
    etc.
    This (with the slash) works if the properties file is in the root
    directory of the filesystem, but it's a kludge.
    If you read your properties as a resource using
    getResourceAsStream(), then where the classloader expects to
    find your file depends on the resource name that you specify.So maybe I should use getResourceAsStream() then? What if I put
    the properties file inside the JAR with the extension classes?
    Or is there any way to reference the web root?

  • Using Xquery predefined functions in User defined functions

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement of calling a user defined function in osb xquery file.In that function i have to use osb predefined string functions but they are not working it shows error message in xquery file.Can you please suggest how to use them in user defined functions.

    Hi Eric,
    I have a Proxy service it reads mfl data and transform to some other schema.In this Transformation one element data is taken and we have to manipulate that data
    based on the incoming value and return .For this process i took one function and i have to check weather it contains some symbols like ^,~ so i used contains function of
    String with and with out prefix with if else condition it gives error "Unexpected token if"
    declare function insp:buildReferenceRange($inRange as xs:string)
    as xs:string
    let $low:=""

    if(contains($inRange,"^")) //"Unexpected token if"
    name space and prefix are defined in the top of file.

  • XSLT Mapping - user defined Extension function

    Hi to all,
    can somebody helps me, please?
    I need an own function, that can be used by the XSL Mapper. First I have only tried the sample given in Path <BPELPM>\integration\orabpel\samples\demos\XSLMapper\ExtensionFunctions
    There is a java file with the defined functions and a xml file with the definition of this function for the mapper and last but not least a jar-file with the java class.
    I have copied the jar to <JDEV_HOME>\jdev\lib\ext directory and in JDeveloper I have added SampleExtensionFunctions.xml to Tools->Preferences->XSL Map -> "User Defined Extension Functions Config File" field. After a restart of JDeveloper I find 2 new functions in the "User Defined Extension Functions" component palette page when a XSL Map is open. That's fine.
    But if I test the mapping I get an error: "Failed to transform source XML.
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: For extension function, could not find method org.apache.xpath.objects.XNodeSet.replaceChar([ExpressionCotext,]#STRING, #STRING)."
    What is wrong?
    Thanks in advance of your answer
    best regard,
    uno

    Oracle XML support Extension function.
    For example:
    If we would like to import FAQDBUri.class with user-defined java functions, like TranslateDBUri(), we can write XSL file like this:
    <xsl:template match="/" xmlns:dburig="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/FAQDBuri">
    <xsl:variable name="urladd" select="dburig:TranslateDBUri($url)"/>

  • Please help for User defined extension functions

    the tutorial given for extension functions doesn't work as well as our new functions
    even though i follow all the given steps and see the functions in my user defined extension functions tab in xslt map.
    all the target nodes that use the extension function disappear in the resulted target xml.
    please help.

    have you compiled your java file and uploaded the jar file(containg the .class file and the Manifest.MF file) in the <OC4J_HOME>\j2ee\home\applib directory and then restarted the server??

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply. When I created extensions.xml (as advised by you) and tried specifying it as User Defined Extension Functions Config file, I get the following error:

    Any pointers on what will be the correct value for attribute 'as' for element 'function'?
    Also, what is the default namespace being used in the extensions.xml?
    Is there a link for more documentation on the format for extensions.xml?

  • Soa 11g and jdeveloper 11g user defined extension function

    I have developed a set of extension functions,
    in design time for the previous version, I can put the deployment file (jar file) that contains the extension functions in the %JDEV_HOME%\jdev\lib\ext directory and jdeveloper recognizes the set of extension functions if previously i have defined an xml descriptor with every one of the functions i need to include in the panel.
    Now, with the jdeveloper 11g i have tried the same, and jdev recognizes the functions, but when I am going to test one transformation that includes the extension function, the parser is not founding the jar file; the error (in spanish) is:

    my dude is:
    + at design time, where can I put the jars with extension functions to make one transformation function used in a mediator component can works fine?
    + at runtime, where can I put those libraries? (in the previous version, we can put this libraries in the %APP_SERVER%\j2ee\home\applib, or create one shared library and reference it in the oracle.bpel.common shared library declaration of the server.xml configuration file).

    Hi,
    please post this question to the JDeveloper 11 forum. Please translate the messages into English as well

  • Handling events in BSP application using WML tag Extensions

    Hello Everyone  ,
                            We are developing a BSP applications for Mobile handheld using WML tag library. I am looking for some code samples to know how we can handle evevents inside the BSP using the WML tag library.
    Can any one of  you plesae help us by placing a code snippet for handling onInputprocessing() methods (BSP Using WML Tag extensions).
    I mean to ask how we can handle events inside the BSP applications that uses the WML tag library.
    I know about how to handle BSP events using HTMLB and XHTMLB tags frameworks.
    Thanks for your help in advance.
    Thanks,
    Greetson

    Is this WML tag library something that is supplied by SAP u2013 as a BSP Extension Element?  Or are you just using WML tags directly in your layout?  I can tell you in general that if you want to generate HTMLB events from regular HTML code you can generate the JavaScript calls using the htmlbEvent tag of the BSP extension library.  However your tags have to be running within an HTMLB Content tag for this to work.
    If you want to work totally without HTMLB then you need to use the simple HTTP Post but format the input name as OnInputProcessing(<function code>) like this:
    <input type="submit" name="OnInputProcessing(ok)" value="OK">
    This will cause the OnInputProcessing event handler to trigger without needing any HTMLB tags (this is how it was done in WebAS 6.10 before we BSP Extensions).

  • ESB Error - Extension function error: Method not found 'parseEscapedXML'

    Hi All
    I have written an ESB service in which i have used the function 'parseEscapedXML'. The ESB service works fine in one environment but throws the following error in the other env.
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><env:Header/><env:Body><env:Fault xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><faultcode xmlns="">env:ESBMessageProcessingFailed</faultcode><faultstring xmlns="">XML-22043: (Error) Extension function error: Method not found 'parseEscapedXML'</faultstring></env:Fault></env:Body></env:Envelope>
    I compared the two instances and found that there is a difference in the size of the bpm-services.jar on the two instances. Also the ESB env where the ESB services works in on MLR1 and the instance where its throws an error is on MLR3. Has anyone faced this issue. Does MLR3 overwites this jar with a new jar?
    Thanks
    Rakesh

  • XPathException: Extension function error: Method not found 'abs'

    Hello,
    I am using -XMLP 5.6.3 on EBS 11.5.10.2
    In XML Publisher Admin, View Template page, I click "Preview". I get a report, but all it contains is a long stack trace containing the following messages:
    java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
    Caused by: oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XPathException: Extension function error: Method not found 'abs'
    In my RTF, the offending code is
    <?when:xdoxslt:abs(ACCOUNTED_CR)>xdoxslt:abs(ACCOUNTED_DR)?>It works fine on my pc where I have BI Publisher Desktop 10.1.3.4

    Hi Vetsrini, Thank you for your response.
    1. I checked the values in the xml and found no nulls. I see all 0 or non-zero numbers.
    2. Following MetaLink Doc ID 362496.1, I find:
    - PDF Producer: PDF file properties shows PDF Producer "Oracle XML Publisher 5.6.3"
    - AD_BUGS SQL: The SQL results show that I have the 5.6.3 patch, but the SQL in the Doc only includes patch numbers up to 5.6.3. I'm not sure how I can find out the patch numbers of more recent patches, to see if i have those.
    - File version of the MetaInfo.class: $Header MetaInfo.java 115.28 2006/08/17 01:24:59 bgkim noship $
    What is the latest XDO patch? I can't find anything newer than what I have in MetaLink, but I probably am missing something...
