Usr/bin/pacman-key: line 615: printf: write error: Broken pipe

I've got some instances of same error from pacman which I think is abnormal when I tried to upgrade pacman-keyring via "pacman -Syu".
usr/bin/pacman-key: line 615: printf: write error: Broken pipe
What action should I take for the errors to maintain my system?
Searching the web and this forum won't answer my question...
The quotation of pacman.log of the upgrade sesson which evoked pacman-keyring upgrading is below:

    Hi, according to line 609 of pacman-key
    /urs/bin/pacman-key wrote:608 # we cannot use --yes here as gpg would still ask for confirmation if a key has more than one uid
    609 printf 'y\ny\n' | LANG=C "${GPG_PACMAN[@]}" --command-fd 0 --quiet --batch --lsign-key "${key_id}" 2>/dev/null
    it seems that gpg has died when it tried to sign locally the key FFF979E7. If a key is not locally signed you could have problems when installing packages signed with that key.
    Does it work if you run the following command?
    pacman-key --populate archlinux

    I can't guess this issue has to do with Database and its driver.
    Possible reason could be that the browser is closed when the site is rendering the response from the server.
    The error indicates the communication is broken.
    This particular servlet/jsp is trying to write something on the response stream for which the call started from the below line:

    ya.. thanks, i was guessing it, but dunno how to figure it out. i have no idea why the architecture changed. iam going to recompile packman!
    thanks for your help
    edit:
    when i installed my 32bit system i changed the mirrorlist to 'i686' repository for downloading 32bit things. i forgot to change it again when i was done... so pacman downloaded 32bit stuff and apparently updatet itself.

  • Create script in /usr/bin called pacclean?

    #!/bin/bash
    su -c 'pacman -Qdt'
    su -c 'pacman -Scc && pacman-optimize'
    yaourt -Syua
    this script was created to show
    1) To list all packages no longer required as dependencies (orphans) (pacman -Qdt)
    2) Clean the package cache of packages that are not currently installed (/var/cache/pacman/pkg) and removes all packages from the cache. (pacman -Scc)
    3) Improving database access speeds reduces the time taken in database-related tasks, e.g. searching packages and resolving package dependencies. (pacman-optimize)
    4) You can update your system including AUR packages (yaourt -Syua)
    I think this is a good script i think, but is there a way to streamline it by not entering my password over 3 times? this script i created in /usr/bin and called it pacclean which i made it executable.

    I have a script that has much the same concept as this one, but much longer. I'm sure I posted it in this forum before, but as it's changed a little recently, I'll repost here. It may give someone some ideas for how they'd like to wrap pacman themselves, or some coding style thoughts. I install this in /usr/local/sbin/pu and add that same path to sudoers with NOPASSWD set. Note that you don't have to run it with sudo yourself, as it will detect if you are not root and re-run itself in sudo for you if not. Note that this will produce a large amount of noise output on the first run, as the saved state data (/var/lib/pu) won't be populated yet, and so all the comparisons from last run to now will run as if everything in the world is brand new.
    #!/bin/bash
    # vim:set filetype=sh: *

    What would cause this?  Old code?  Missing package?

    It was actually really old code, after a bit of successful this-should-probably-work script editing!  I created a package in the AUR called dasm, which is an assembler for the Atari 2600 among many other systems.

    Hi,
    trying to interact with the native process /usr/bin/top on macosx.
    I copied the example from the tour de flex.
    Just deleted args and changed the file path to /usr/bin/top.
    I always get a "Error opening terminal: unknown."
    Any idea?
    ps: And yes I added <supportedProfiles>extendedDesktop</supportedProfiles> in the descriptor.
    -c.

    I think you cant run this kind of command, I'm not on Linux/Mac OS right now but try to find an argument to make just one refresh of the command cuz I think AIR dont understand what top is tryin to do with the terminal window while it refresh

  • Pacman broken pipe

    I have installed new ArchLinux 0.7 system. When I wrote "pacman -Syu" it has synchronized and offered to upgrade pacman. After pacman upgrade I wrote once again "pacman -Syu" and pacman offered me to update about 20 packages. It started downloading the first one and when it have completed it wrote: Broken pipe. Pacman turned off. And now every time I try to update or install a new package, when I run pacman and it download something I get broken pipe after each downloaded file and pacman turns off. How can I correct this problem? Using wget didn't helped. It stucks when "Logging into ftp as anonymous". Any ideas?

    I'm guessing he's already tried that, since I suspect the reason he's tried wget is because it's mentioned in the only other thread relevant to this, and pacman.static is mentioned there too...
    I may be wrong tho

    Ok, this was my dumb mistake again. I was testing out powerpill on my server which is a 32 bit machine. I tried copying my 64 bit mirrorlist to my 32 bit server because I have it ranked and slimmed down to only the essential servers.

    /usr/bin/fbsetbg: line 169: xmessage: command not found
    That's not really normal... isn't it...

    You need to install xorg-apps. xmessage is included with this package.
       pacman -S xorg-apps

  • Command Line Tools installs the latest version of clang (and others) in /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/... but not in /usr/bin/

    I've upgraded Xcode to the latest 5.1 Installed Command Line Tools via xcode-select --install Homebrew tells me "A newer Command Line Tools release is available"
    brew --config:
    Xcode: 5.1 CLT: 5.1.0.0.1.1393561416 LLVM-GCC: build 2336 Clang: 3.1 build 318
    Checking my clang executable:
    $ /usr/bin/clang --version Apple clang version 3.1 (tags/Apple/clang-318.0.58) (based on LLVM 3.1svn)
    $ /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/bin/clang --version Apple LLVM version 5.1 (clang-503.0.38) (based on LLVM 3.4svn)
    So it appears Command Line Tools didn't install clang (and perhaps other executables) into /usr/bin? I checked my other laptop (w/ Mavericks), and /usr/bin/clang is version 5.1.
    So I'm guessing this is the problem? I've tried to reinstall Command Line Tools as sudo, but now it won't let me install again (says software isn't currently available).
    Can anyone help me with this? I've spent hours on it now, but can't find a solution.
    Thanks

    BTW, I installed Xcode 5.1 from the Store, but have never run xcode-select --install.  Here is the verbose output from a clang.
