UTl_file help - To generate table records using execute imediate statment

Hi Guys,
I need small help from you guys to generate file . For below results I would like to send it UTL_file and generate text file on table name . My table name will be dynamic ( suppose now emp table as input next record will be employee as input like so but my all columns are same for all the tables ( as inputs to this procedure) )

    Am new to PL/SQL, I had been asked to delete few of the table for my ETL jobs in Oracle 10G R2. I have to delete(truncate) few tables and the table names are in another table with a flag to delete it or not. So, when ever I run the job it should check for the flag and for those flag which is 'Y' then for all those tables should be deleted without using the Execute Immediate, because I dont have privilages to use "Execute Immediate" statement.
    Can anyone help me in how to do this.

    Yes, dynamic sql can be a bad thing when it is used to generate hundreds of identical queries that differ ony in the literals used in predicates, but for something like a set of delte table statements or truncate table statements, dynamic sql is no different in terms of the effect on the shared pool that hard coding the sql statements.
    This is a bad use of dynamic sql, because it generates a lot of nearly identical statements due to the lack of bind variables. It is the type of thing your DBA's should, correctly, bring out the lead pipe for.

    Note that if you are truncating some of the tables, and wnat/need to use a stored procedure, you are going to have to use dynamic sql for the truncates anyway since trncate is ddl, and you cannot do ddl in pl/sql wiothout using dynamic sql.

  • Need help, Trouble in uploading records using sql loader in Forms 6i

    Env: Forms 6i, Oracle 8
    Table to be updated is: shy_upload_table

    When I double click the batch file containing the below, the record gets inserted in the table. Only when using my form and trying to upload, it fails to insert the record.

    just want some help here..
    is there a way to delete a MS Access database record through using JOptionPane?? i've gone through some, probably alot of examples on SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE statements but none came up to the stuff i need.
    so far i've seen the DELETE statement like this and also this is a common DELETE statement..

    Here's how I did it. Research does help, but sometimes looking at others code does too... You do have to have a dummy file that you made with access though. You can't just make a file file.mdb (it will be corrupt)

    I'll stress that I use Windows not a Mac so I'm not expert on that sort of thing but this guide seems to give the information you need:  How to Setup External Microphone in Mac - Make Tech Easier
    Once you have the computer itself set up, the controls you need within Audition are on the Edt/Preferences/Audio Hardware menu.  If the mic is properly recognised by the Mac operating system as per the link above, you should then find it on a drop down menu you can select from in Audition.

  • Help ! inaccurate time recorded using javax.swing.timer

    I am currently trying to write a stopwatch for timing application events such as loggon, save, exit ... for this I have created a simple Swing GUI and I am using the javax.swing.timer and updating a the time on a Jlabel. The trouble that I am having is that the time is out by up to 20 seconds over a 10 mins. Is there any way to get a more accruate time ?? The code that I am using is attached below.

    Hi,
    The other way to safely handle the modification of tables is through is by programs that can be done with SE38 or SE80.
    To insert into database table we use INSERT statement :
    1. To insert a single line into a database table, use the following:
    INSERT INTO <target> VALUES <wa>.
    INSERT <target> FROM <wa>.
    2. To insert a several lines into a database table, use the following:
    INSERT <target> FROM TABLE <itaba>.
    Or even we can use MODIFY statementas this single statement is used to insert as well as update the records of database table.
    MODIFY <target> FROM <wa>.
    or MODIFY <target> FROM TABLE <itab>.

    I created Proxy service(ALSB3.0) to get records from DB table. I have used Xquery function(fn-bea:execute-sql()). Using simple SQL query I got single record, but my table having multiple records. Please suggest how to get multiple records using fn-bea:execute-sql() and how to assign them in ALSB variable.

    Am facing the same issue stated above that I couldnt get all the records in the table that am querying in the Proxyservice.
    For example:
    fn-bea:execute-sql('EsbDataSource', 'student', 'select Name from StudentList' ) is the query that am using to fetch the records from the table called StudentList which contains more than one records like
    Id Name
    01 XXX
    02 YYY
    03 ZZZ
    I tried to assign the result of the above query in a variable and while trying to log the variable, I can see the below
    <student>
    <Name>XXX</Name>
    </student>
    I want to have all the records from my table in xml format but it's not coming up. I get the value only from the first row of my table.

    i have learned some of the issues or dependencies with Truncate query, which are as follows -
    - Are referenced by a FOREIGN KEY constraint. (You can truncate a table that has a foreign key that references itself.)
    - Participate in an indexed view.
    - Are published by using transactional replication or merge replication
    because my tables exist some of above restrictions, please guide, is it right to use the truncate?

    Your syntax is wrong.
    If you would use a syntax higlighted editor, it would show.
    Yout try to execute a string where another string is embedded. Please use two times single quote or use the 'q' function:
    This one is correct:
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'CREATE TABLE table_name AS (SELECT * FROM  a_view WHERE column_name LIKE ''%some_string%'')';
    or this one:

    I am trying to evaluate the expression ":b1+:b2+(:b3*:b4)" which is stored in table. This table has different expressions (around 300 expressions). I want to use the bind variables in expression because each expression evaluated thousand of time may be more in some case. If I don't use bind variable then it fill shared pool.
    Is there any way I can pass the USING (IN) parameters dynamically instead of writing "USING lv_tab(1), lv_tab(2), lv_tab(3), lv_tab(4)"? As number of input parameters change depend on the expression in the table.
    If not possible please suggest any other ideas/approches

    I have to create a partiton table in PL/SQL using Execute Immediate. I concat the necessary Create Table syntax into a variable and use Execute Immediate variable name. This gives a error ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement. However if i cut and paste the SQL statement from DBMS_OUTPUT, the table creation goes through without any problem.
    What could be the issue. Has anyone face this before please.

    I'm not 100% sure if I understand your requirement: Do you really want to use an Oracle Sequence, as Alex already demonstrated?
    Or just a 'one-time-bunch-of-sequential-numbers'.
    In the latter case you can just select level:

  • No record found in the table while using condition for the new added field

    Hi,
    I have added a new field in Z table. There is lots of record in the table. The field which I added have null records. When I am checking the record using the condition new field equal(EQ) to space or blank. This shows no record in the table, but when I execute whole of the table, it shows entries for all field.
    Please suggest. Thanks in Advance.

    Yes I have run SE14 and activate & adjust the database, But problem is same.
    My select query is:
    SELECT VBELN
             PI
             GJAHR
             KUNNR
             GPD
             GPI
    INTO TABLE I_GP_DATA
    FROM ZFI_GP_DISCOUNTS
    WHERE AUGDT BETWEEN ZFI_GP_DISCOUNTS-AUGDT AND ZFI_GP_DISCOUNTS-P_DATE
    AND DOC_NO EQ SPACE.
