UWL custom refresh button

Hello,
We are using UWL for different approvals in our EP 7.01 portal.
In some approvals, after clicking on a UWL item and executing the application, the work item doesn't disappear immediately from the UWL inbox.
After clicking on the refresh link .... the item disappears from the UWL inbox.
The refresh link is however hidden and not very obvious to the user.
I would like to include a custom button in my UWL view, which will replicate the "Refresh" functionality.
How can I include a custom button in my UWL view at the top with the Refresh functinality ?
Please suggest ...
Thank you,
Kalyan

Hi,
You need to do some adjustments to the View configuration XML. Add "refresh" to the actions as below.
<Views>
<View name="DefaultView" .... .... ....
<Actions>
        <Action reference="refresh"/>
</Actions>
</View>
</Views>
I think that this was enough.
Regards,
Karri

  • Team Foundation Server 2013 Refresh button not refreshing Custom Control values in TFS Templates

    Hi all,
    We have recently migrated from Team Foundation Server 2010 to Team Foundation Server 2013 Update 2. In TFS 2013 template design we found the refresh form control (inbuilt control of TFS) which is unable to refresh the custom control values that is built
    by us. Is there any way that we can programatically modify to enable the refresh button work with custom control.
    Please find below screenshot link for reference.

    Hi SaranRam,
    The refresh button is there to allow the data that populated the work item to be refreshed. The data that you want refreshed is part of the rendering of the form and would only be refreshed when the browser refreshes. Refer to MrHinsh's reply in this
    page.

  • Refresh button in UWL

    Hi,
    We just upgraded from EP6 to EP7 and want the refresh button back in UWL.
    Implemented the following:
    <Action name="refresh" groupAction="no" handler="UIActionHandler" referenceBundle="refresh" returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes" launchInNewWindow="no">
                    <Properties>
                           <Property name="type" value="button"/>
                           <Property name="onClick" value="onForceRefresh"/>
                    </Properties>
                  </Action>
    But the "Refresh" is a link on far right of the screen. We want a button on the left side, just below the "Tasks" tab.
    What else needs changing in the uwl.standard.<yourname> file?
    Thanks, Neeta

  • Refresh button is throwing error Message in the UWL.

    Hi All,
    I have created  the Refresh button in the UWL Header Table.when i click on the Refresh button, it is throwing the below Error
    "Unable to perform the request. Try again and if the problem persists, inform your system administrator"
    The Code snippet I have  written  is like below.
    <Action name="refresh_custom" groupAction="refresh" handler="UIActionHandler" referenceBundle="refresh" returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes" launchInNewWindow="SHOW_HEADERLESS_PORTAL" defaultGroupAction="yes">
          <Properties>
           <Property name="display_order_priority" value="99"/>
           <!Property name="type" value="button"/>
           <Property name="onClick" value="onForceRefresh"/>
          </Properties>
        </Action>
    and at the required View i called the reference of this Refresh.
    <Action reference="refresh_custom"/>.
    It would be greathelp if anybody shares their views regarding the same.
    Raji.

    I am pretty sure that nothing can be done about this. A Lot of other websites/applications also have this same problem. You try playing with the browser cache settings so that the back button doesn't try and get the page from the cache. You could also try and experiment with the cache-control and expires HTTP headers, to see whether this has any effect.
    Other than this, I am unsure as to whether it can be resolved
    Sorry

  • Disable/Hide the Refresh Button in Child report

    Hi All,
    Our Environment is BOXI-R2;
    We have a Master Report calling a Child Report (based on Open Document);
    Our requirement is to hide the" Refresh Button "in the child report Layout
    we tried using "hideRefresh=true"
    but the child report is not responding to the above clause
    Help us in this,
    if this is a BUG in XI R2, let us know the Service Pack details
    Thanks

    Joe , Thanks for your Inputs..
    our master report has the aggregated Measure , when the user clicks on this , it has to open a child report (with paramters from master report).
    We are aware of customizing "viewer.js " file (under BO install home) with "refreshDocIcon = null".
    But is this the only solution to hide the refresh button in the child report ?
    SInce its already a PRODUCTION environment, our customer won't allow to change the standard settings of the product.
    Thanks

  • Data getting posted on refreshing IE's refresh button..how to stop

    Hi ,
    we have beent rying to resolve this issue. the problem is when we click on submit button data getting posted on to mobile devices and in the next page "message has been sent " text will come.but if refresh button is clicked again data getting posted to mobile devices.Navigation is like this as below specified.
    1. Login---submit(html file)
    2. jsp page1 with three fields (sender name, mobile numbers, msg box), submit button. on clicking submit calling one java program for sending msgs another jsp page for displaying req is successfull or not.
    3. jsp page 2 displaying "Your message has been sent". Here our problem arises. if the user sends msg for say 10 numbers msg will go and he will come to jsp page2. but if he clicks refresh button on browser/F5 data is getting posted again to the same numbers. so wastage of 10 credits. if it is 100 numbers data will be posted again for the second time to 100 numbers on clicking refresh. which is not at all acceptable by the customer. so the data should not get posted on clicking refresh.
    so please help me in resolving this issue ... its a priority task. it would be great help for me and i would be thankful to all who ever contributing ur valuble suggestions if possible with code.

    Any browser will resend post data on refresh. Maybe store old data for one session then ignore it if its the same as next submition?

  • I lost my HOME and REFRESH buttons and don't know why. Since I can't have them anymore please tell me in detail how I get rid of Mozilla Foxfire and let me know what all I'm going to lose in the process. Thanks, Neil

    I have used Mozilla Firefox for almost a year and it was good. Now I make on stupid mistake by upgrading to the new version and I lose my Home button, Refresh button and I don't know how many other buttons.
    Since I can't have WHAT I USED TO HAVE please explain in detail how I rid of Mozilla Firefox and what I'm all going to lose in the process.

    The home icon by default has moved to the right hand side of the navigation toolbar.
    In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload (Refresh) buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
    When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
    If you want separate buttons stop/go/reload buttons, or want to move the home button, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. For more details on customizing the toolbar see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar

  • How do I customize the Refresh Button in Firefox 29?

    In Firefox 29, the refresh button is permanently embedded in the address bar's field on the far right. On large monitors, this is very inconvenient.
    In most cases, the URL of the current website does not reach beyond the 1024 pixel mark, and even if it does, the far right-hand portion of any given URL is usually the least significant part of the web address.
    Particularly in Right-To-Left language versions of Firefox, a user's attention is heavily focused on the leading portion of the URL, on the far left of the browser window.
    Why is the user forced to break attention from the leading edge of the address bar, and find the far right-hand side of the address field (which can vary in length), AND THEN target the mouse on the very small refresh icon?
    Why is the user forced to lift their hands from a resting position on the keyboard, to find the F5 key to refresh the page?
    If the iser is already looking at the URL bar, and the refresh is located directly to the left of the address bar, this makes refreshing the page with the mouse a lot more convenient.
    Please allow the position of the refresh buttong to be configurable in future versions. There's no legitimate reason to lock down the refresh button.
    Thank you.

    I cannot enable Classic Theme Restorer. After a month, it still breaks Colorful tabs, all of my tabs are either clear or the same color except for the currently selected tab and pinned tabs. Yes, colorful tabs is that important. It helps me organize and tell my tabs apart. My other problem is that every time I open the customize menu tab now, my toolbars get rearranged from address bar at the top, bookmarks toolbar, and yahoo toolbar with tabs below. When I select or open the customize menu tab, the tool bars get rearranged to yahoo tollbar on top and address bar on bottom. Simply closing Firefox or restarting it fixes the problem, but it makes customizing a problem. I recently installed Adblock Plus to fix a hanging and freezing problem. I keep my add ons-extensions and plug ins up to date and am running the latest version of Firefox non-beta. I am on Windows 8.1 and run with many tabs, but have selected in options the, "do not load tabs until selected" option. I really think you guys need to scap Firefox 29 and go back to 28 and rebuild from there. Stop trying to satisfy or appel to developers and programmers. They are the minority of users. The majority of users use the Internet, computers, and browsers, including Firefox as a tool to do their work. Ignoring that idea, or forging ahead the developer way in spite of this has been a major failing of the IT community and was the cause of the problems with Internet Explorer, Windows Vista, Windows 8, and now OS X, and now Firefox 29. Matching the Chrome rapid release cycle was a mistake. Simply releasing updates more often was the answer, not trying to imitate the competition. I don't use IE or Chrome often because they load all tabs on open, and Chrome is not faster unless you turn off Java, Flash, and everything that makes the Web vibrant and interesting. Congratulations on joining the two big crap browsers out there. Being most used does not mean being the most liked. Firefox was the most liked until it tried to be the most popular. I'm a teacher, and I can tell you, the popular kids are also the most shallow and superficial....

  • Where is the refresh button and where is the bar at the bottom of the page that gives the loading status of the page? Why did you mess with something that was perfectly fine??

    I updated to firefox 4 and it's not as good as the former version. There is no refresh button, and I use that a lot. There is no loading status bar at the bottom of the page and I liked the tabs BELOW the page address.
    Why do you keep changing things, just for the H**L of it...

    In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload (Refresh) buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
    When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
    If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. • A separate Refresh button is missing that I could place wherever I want

    Since Fx29 the refresh button is now part of URL line, similar to IE.
    I would prefer to have it on the left of the window, where I have most of my customized controls/buttons.
    Having a refresh button as a custom control would be much better, especially for those having large screens/windows.
    Would it possible to return this button at least as an option back to customizable controls?

    Sorry, in the last post I said 'appears detachable' while meant to say 'does not appear detachable' - just updated the post.
    While I appreciate the efforts to make it consistent with IE address bar, it is not convenient on large screens/windows. If one has all control buttons on the left side of the browser, but has to refresh/stop on the right - it makes it annoying.
    Would it be possible to have a detachable/customizable reload/stop button back, so one could place it in the tool bar wherever he/she wants for convenience?
    Thanks!

  • Keeping session using custom save button in managed bean

    Greetings,
    I'm building a application based on BC + ADF(JSF).
    All around the app. I need two buttons, one for committing and actualizing the UI data, and other to return to the previous page.
    Instead of customizing those buttons every time they occurs, I've haded a managed bean to do the work. This managed bean as "request" scope.
    The process of editing a form, requires me to have one form to only view the data and other to edit the data.
    The issue is: when saving a form, it should return ("back" action) to his precedence, keeping the session state.
    That is: If I'm editing "process 2" when i commit it should go to "process 2" in read only mode.
    This works fine if i use "hardcoded buttons", but when i use the managed bean to handle those buttons action, when committing, it goes to the first on the list. It doesen't keep the session state.
    How can i keep the state ?
    Thanks
    here it is the managed bean:

    Hi
    I re-execute the query only to refresh the AM VO data.
    I'm using AM EO to access DB Views, that use IOF triggers to update/insert/delete into the DB.
    Using the application, when updating data, changes wont reflect in the UI if I don't refresh the "master" VO, that is "EpisodiosMain". I'm doing a commit and a execute to a "detail" VO.
    "If you need to execute the query and set it back to the last row you worked with, get the row key before executing the query so you can set the current row back to this rowkey"
    Could you please throw a example on how to do this ?
    "Reaching through to the AM to execute the VO isn't best practices. You should grap the associated iterator in teh binding instead and perform the execute operation. Note that usig ADF binding there are only rare situations in which you need to access teh business service directly as you do. "
    Again, could you please post an example of how to do this, or introduce me to some documentation.
    Thanks
