Validate license at Pre-chrome error
I downloaded the Photoshop CS5 trial and after the 30 days decided to buy it. I entered my software key just fine and the program would not open. So, I unistalled it and installed it again, and it still will not open.
I downloaded the Adobe Support Advisor and this is the error that occurs every time I try to open the program.
cpsid_83578r3: Error, "Validate license at Pre-chrome" when installing - Creative Suite 5
According to the Adobe webiste, this article should be followed:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/835/cpsid_83578.html
I followed all of the steps in the article linked above and it is still not working. Still unable to get any customer support on the phone.
Has anyone else come across this?
I'm on a MacBook pro v 10.6.7 and the trial ran just fine.
I have just installed the CSS 5.5 and am getting the same error and have followed directions of your post and there is no change in my locate for I am in the USA.
I have tried disabling my start-up menu, disabled my firewall and anti-virus program and still have the same problem with cpsid_83578r3 error.
I give up on trying to install it. I am taking it back to the store from which I paid a fortune and demand my money back and this will be the last time that I buy an adobe product again.
They can go screw themselves for I am tired and worn out with all the so-called solutions....Adobe ought to be ashamed of themselves for issuing a product at such a high price and to see it have problems installing on Windows 7 64 Bit Machine (Ultimate Edition of Windows0

I received this error in Adobe support adviser which I had to download because when my Flash Professional cs5.5 trial download was ready to install, the Adobe installer came up and reported the error "Installer failed to initialise".This is why I had to download adobe support adviser. I have scoured the web for a week now for a solution but to no avail. Adobe should have a solution to every single one of their problems when I was probably going to spend a good 500-600 pounds on some software where they cannot correct their errors. They should be the experts not me.
I am having the same problem with my install. I have a Dell XPS 420, dual-cpu, 4gb RAM, dual 500gb HDs, Windows 7 Ultimate. I have CS 5 loaded. I uninstalled it and tried loading CS 5.5, but got the error. I reinstalled CS 5, and tried loading CS 5.5 again - same error. I tried all the the steps listed in the document Install log error "Validate license at Pre-Chrome time" | Creative Suite 5, CS5.5
* I changed the locale
* I am an admin - I right clicked the setup.exe and selected "Run as Administrator"
Still getting the same error.

Mac OS Lion CS 5.5 "Pre-Chrome" Install Problem / Solution!
After hours and days of frustration surrounding what should have been a very simple update from CS5 to CS5.5 on Mac OSX Lion (the latest version), I finally found a solution that makes perfect sense, and acutally works.
Here's my brief rant:
Adobe - you seriously need to work on your Tech Support. I've been a customer since Photoshop 2.0 and this is no bueno. Having someone tell me to create an Admin user account on my system with username "test" and "no password" is not helpful nor a good idea. Suggesting that I open up all my permissions to 777 also not a good idea. You need to seriously review your Tech Support team's scripts. Either way neither of these soltuions worked. Anyways I am done with my rant as I want this article to be HELPFUL TO PEOPLE who are super frustrated like me.
Here's what I discovered:
Here's the deal - if you upgrade to lion recently, you probably had an older version of a CS product on your computer. My guess is that when you migrated over some permissions got screwed up and the installer couldn't overrride the correct files it needs to because they are locked under a different user account (fair enough adobe, sounds more like Apple's problem). A friend suggested doing a hard reformat and reinstalling lion fresh via USB drive, probably a good idea but who's got the time?
So anyways, I kept getting a "pre-chrome" error in the debug output and kept seeing the "Accept Terms & Conditions" window no matter how many times I re-installed, wiped my files etc. Uber lame.
The solution turned out to be 'duh' simple from my PC user co-worker "Why don't you just install it under root access?" Ok, for those of you who don't know what root means, it basically just is the account who is authorized to write over all other user accounts. Apple turns this off by default because most people never need to user it. Unless you come across something like this...
Steps:
1. Uninstall anything you got going with CS, the more the better - you're going to reinstall it again anyways (just keep your serials around).
2. Consider downloading the CS Cleaner product that Adobe offers and wipe it all down (probably not required but can't hurt).
3. Follow these instructions on your Admin account to enable root temporarily: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1528 (BTW the Edit one is hard to find, they mean the acutal Edit menu on the top of the screen).
4. Install your CS 5.5.
5. This one is IMPORTANT - when it asks you to authenticate use your ROOT login and password, not your normal one. This grants the installer the abililty to write over other files.
6. Finish the install, check it out. If it worked you probably want to de-activate the root login for safety's sake.gdoddsdesign thank you for the great tips I am sure this will help other users within the forum. You may still want to keep an eye on your administrator group permissions. If you had to go to root to resolve the issue, and even the newly created User account had compromised permissions, then there could still be some problems out there.
Many times though once software is installed under a root user it will continue to work without any additional modifications needed on the administrator account.
I also really like the tip about disabling root user at the end btw. Often users and technicians get so excited that the issue is solved they can forget this step. -
Hello,
I started using Nokia maps and i received the following error when trying to buy navigation maps:
unable to validate license-15
This was shown after the list of maps where retrieved, after the Update yes/no screen. Also in some cases after this step the application closes completely.
Did someone have this problems ?
I'm using a Nokia E50.Openbit only run the payment-handling and licence distibution for Nokia, they do not handle customer support.
In your case, if the payment has gone through OK then it is just an error with the delivery of the licence to your phone. You need to contact Nokia customer services, they can look up the licence code assigned to your IMEI number, then you just need to enter it manually through the Maps menus. -

Renderfarm error: Pre-Flight Error: Unable to import previously rendered file
I have an error message I am receiving during network rendering on a renderfarm, and was hoping for some help. The error is this: "Pre-Flight Error: Unable to import previously rendered file."
Here is my setup and some details:
The user makes a comp, and adds it to the render queue set to render as a quicktime movie file. Then they run a script which precomps everything and sets it to render as a image sequence with "Skip existing files" checked. This comp also has a post-render action set to import & replace usage. After this comp is rendered, it gets pulled back into the project and the original render item starts rendering the movie file using the previously rendered image sequence as it's only layer.
This project gets saved to a server where our render nodes are watching the folder. All the render nodes pick up the project and proceed to render the image sequence. Then, after they are done, 1 machine will pick up the second render item and begin rendering the image sequence into the final quicktime movie.
All of this goes smoothly about 90% of the time. However, in some cases an error shows up in the watch folder html page for the 2nd render item (the one converting the image sequence to the movie). The error says "Pre-Flight Error: Unable to import previously rendered file." After the error occurs, no machines will start rendering the project.
My first guess is that the render engine on one machine somehow skips rendering the image sequence comp, and then tries to render the quicktime movie comp and fails because the image sequence has not yet been rendered. However, I can't figure out why After Effects would skip rendering the first comp.
Does anyone have any idea?
Thanks for the help, and let me know if you have any more questions about the setup,
AdamWell, you should get used to the fact that it's simply gone... Just looking at your screenshot makes me grind my teeth. From delayed writing of files to fragmentation in user folders to Windows doing obscure things this could be anything, but seriously, saving important files on the desktop? That is simply sloppy data management. There is no other way to say it. Read up on what proper file naming, incremental saving and backups are good for and why keeping work files separate and away from your user home directories is actually a quite simple, yet effective concept to avoid exactly that kind of issue.

License stopped working. Error 150:30.
Re-install of Mountain Lion from Time Machine (BIG mistake) left me with PhotoShop and InDesign CS4 unusable. "License stopped working and Error 150:30" were the messages.
Went online, tried what worked for some people, i.e. deleting Flexnet from ~Library/Application Support and then putting Flexnet file in ~Library/Preferences. Still could not open PS & ID. Interesting that Bridge never had a problem and works fine.
I am out of USA and don't have my install disks but I do have serial number for CS4. Chat was ridiculous. Adobe is certainly wasting money on that outsourced non-help function which took 30 minutes of my time for nothing.
Is there any help for me besides waiting til I get back to USA to get my install disks?
I feel very angry at Adobe for having so little help for me. I've been using PhotoShop since the 80's on PCs and Macs. I wish there were some other program out there so I wouldn't have to deal with Adobe-Snobby who "got above their raisin's."
Oh, and by the way, just in case anyone from Adobe pays any attention to this, when you click "Close" from the Chat window like the intructions tell you, there is NO WAY to complain about "how Adobe is doing."I fixed the problem myself by using some comments from the Creative Suites CS3 forum: however, with CS4, there is no Trusted Storage File, as it is named below. It is called Storage. And you have to delete the 2 .data files Preferences creates when you reboot.
Also the FLEXnet Publisher file should be in ~Library/Preferences NOT in ~Library/Application Support where I found mine.
Basically PS4 and ID4 would not work until after removing the Service file from FLEXnet Publisher then re-booting and repairing Disk Permissions. After deleting the 2 data files, I replaced the Service file in the FLEXnet folder and both PS4 and ID4 opened easily. Whew. It's been a long couple of days trying to figure this one out! The instructions below helped me figure it out.
Go to: Main HD > Library > Preferences > FLEXnet Publisher > FLEXnet folder (Mac OS) remove the Trusted Storage File (TSF) from the FLEXnet folder and drop it on your desktop.
Restart your Mac > run disk permissions repair (Applications > Utilities > Disk Repair) then launch InDesign - enter serial number - InDesign should now work (fingers crossed)
If all goes well trash the TSF - you won't need it anymore as a new one should have been created. -
I re-installed my Mac OS, but now Elements won't open. Licensing stopped working. Error code 150:30.
This is Photoshop Elements 8, and I have the original disc with serial number so I can re-install that.
The probelm is I'd need to de-cactivate the serial number before un-installing, and I need to open the programme to do that.
Any ideas?
ThanksOkay, I've found that this is a recognised problem.

Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS
and all the solutions tell me to find the folder FlexNet Publisher in my library.
Problem is FlexNet Publisher doesn't seem to exist there. Can't find it anywhere on my hard drive.
Gettting down to the end of that page gives me the following info....
The FlexNet folders and files required to run Adobe applications can become corrupted or have permission problems if moved from one machine to another. They can also be damaged through a Time Machine system restore. FlexNet service licensing failures cannot be resolved by reinstalling the application or by using the Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool. If permissions issues prevent the FlexNet licensing service from launching, accessing data, or communicating with Adobe processes, a licensing failure occurs.
Well it looks like backing everything up using Time Machine may have caused all this problem. Anyone know how to get Flexnet Publisher back? -

Hi all,
We have a custom interface to load the voucher data from a file to Staging table.
After that we build voucher build to get the voucher created from the staging tables.
So we have run the custom interface and the Voucher build. The custom interface ran to success. But the voucher build ran to no success. It says it has some number of Voucher(s) Staged with Pre-Edit Errors.
We got to know why this happened. that is all because of input file.
we corrected the input file.
What my question there are some vouchers staged with Pre-Edit Erros. I want to delete those. Can any one please tell how to delete those.
Please help me.
Thank you.I am sorry, By mistake it came twice.

I have received the "licensing has stopped working" Error code 150:30. I have done all 8 suggested fixes and have had no luck fixing this mess. Anyone able to help.
Great!
Now in Terminal at the $ prompt type sudo python <leave a space after that> Do not press enter or return yet.
Drag and drop "license recover.py" into the Terminal window, then press enter or return.
You should see this result: Confirm that you do. -
Okay, so I recently got all the products I wanted from CC via the student subscription. It was a bit of a pain getting everything working, as windows explorer crashed and reopened during installation of CC and during an update. Once I finally got in and got everything installed, I thought I was golden, it was then that I discovered my troubles had only just begun. Whenever I tried to open a program it either closed almost immediately after Startup or closed after giving the message "Could not validate license". Thus far I have not found a solution, as the much touted log out and log in method failed me.
Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated as I am honestly at a loss on what to do.
Technical details:
The programs I tried were After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and Premiere.
