Validation error corrupts component tree?

I've got a strange problem trying to use validation on input fields.
The basic setup is as follows:
I've got a page divided into two parts with separate h:form tags, the one holding a dataTable with some elements and the other showing the element details in inputFields once an item is selected in the dataTable via a commandLink. A commandButton on the detail side allows you to update the values of the selected item which is being reflected in the dataTable on reload. So far so good.
Here comes the strange part:
All the inputFields are marked required. Now once you leave a field empty and try to submit the form, you get a validation error as expected. BUT if you now select a different element from the dataTable, ONLY the field whose validation formerly failed is being updated, the other fields still show the same value as before. The backing bean method that belongs to the commandLink is being executed, and the underlying data object of the input fields is being set properly, only the values in the component tree aren't updated. This behaviour persists until you enter a valid value in the formerly invalid input field and submit. Debugging shows that as long as at least one field has had validation errors, only the getter of these backing beans properties are being invoked during render response phase, as opposed to the "normal" case where the getters of all the backing beans properties are being called.
For some reason, the render response phase seems to ignore the other components in the component tree when there was some validation error on one or more fields.
Another interesting observation:
This is the behaviour if I don't specify an action attribute in the commandLink selecting an element from the dataTable, as I want to return to the same page again. But if I define a navigation case that brings me to the same page and put that into the action attribute, the problem doesn't occur. Unfortunately this is no option for me, as I'm aiming to do all this with ajax.
I've created a simple example so you can try out yourself:

Thanks for any input,

Is there noone here who can tell me if this is behavior like specified or if I miss some point?
A possible solution seems to be telling JSF programmatically to rebuild the view root. Does anyone if this is possible?

• Calendar Component and validation errors

Hi,
For the first time I am trying to use the Calendar component to insert a date field in my SQL Server db.
The problem: I can insert a date column only if its of type java.sql.Timestamp.
As Timestamp extends the date object..
I tried to bind the selectedDate field as <Timestamp> Object[refractored in my class file] and when i tried to update by DB it throwing a Validation error.
If I bind it as a Date Object directly I am getting an EvaluvationException
as date objects cannot be inserted directly
Am i missing something here or is there a proper way of implementing it.

Its a fairly direct question about object conversion problem in creator
Basically the selectedDate parameter of the JSC Calendar component
needs to be pointed to a Date Object
If we need to insert that date information to a SQL Server column the equivalent data type should be java.sql.Timestamp which extends Date.
So if we point the selectedDate parameter as a Timestamp object the creator throws an illegal argument exception.
Can some one clarify how to resolve this issue?

Hi,
Based on the description, you got warnings when you tried to click the mailbox delegation option of mailbox properties in EAC. Is it right?
Did this issue affected only one user mailbox or all of them?
From the error message, it seems that this issue is related to the corrupt permissions. Please use the
Get-MailboxPermission cmdlet to retrieve permissions on a mailbox to check result.

• Modifying component tree after validation failures

I'm reworking a JSF web app to use JSF's validation capabilities. As it is now, the validation all occurs in various action methods, during the invoke application phase. I volunteered to do this update to separate the business processing code from the data validation code as well as take advantage of the fact that using JSF validation guarantees that the data in the model won't be updated unless the user data is valid.
So, I've run into one thing that I can't figure out how to accomplish using JSF's validation capabilities.
Here's the old form...

<h:inputText id="city" value="#{userDetailsBean.city}" rendered="#{userDetailsHandler.showCityInput}"/>
<h:selectOneMenu id="cityFromList" value="#{userDetailsBean.city}" rendered="#{userDetailsHandler.showCityList}">
<f:selectItems value="#{userDetailsHandler.cityDropList}"/>
</h:selectOneMenu>

<h:selectOneMenu id="state" value="#{userDetailsBean.state}">
<f:selectItem itemValue="#{null}" itemLabel=""/>
<f:selectItems value="#{userDetailsHandler.statesList}"/>
</h:selectOneMenu>

<h:inputText id="zipCode" value="#{userDetailsBean.zipCode}"/>Note that there are two components representing the city. When the form is first presented, the inputText is shown. Then, if the address doesn't validate, we present the selectOneMenu after filling userDetailsHandler.cityDropList with the appropriate city options (based on the zipcode).
So, can anybody think of a good way (from within a custom JSF validator) to set the appropriate properties in userDetailsHander in order to make the selectOneMenu render and show the proper options? Feel free to suggest a change in architecture as well. I'm not stuck on using this userDetailsHandler that was previously in use.
I figure I could always right a custom validator that takes in a bean as an attribute in the tag and the bean. On a validation error, the validator could then setup the appropriate properties in the bean. This just seams a little hacky.
By the way, the validator will probably be written to take in the names of the city, state, and zip components. I'm following the multi-component validator idea that is presented in Core Java ServerFaces, 2nd Edition. (The validator takes in the component names, which it uses to get the local values, then performs multi-component validation work.) I guess I could pass both the cityTextInput and cityListInput components into the validator, right?

Here's what I have so far for my validator's validate() method. Some stuff has been omitted to make this a smaller code chunk. I've attached this validator to the zip component.
public void validate(FacesContext facesCtx, UIComponent uiComponent, Object value)
throws ValidatorException {
// get a handle to the other components
// city
UIComponent cityTextComp = uiComponent.getParent().findComponent(cityTextComponent);
EditableValueHolder cityValHolder = (EditableValueHolder) cityTextComp;
// state
UIComponent stateComp = uiComponent.getParent().findComponent(stateComponent);
EditableValueHolder stateValHolder = (EditableValueHolder) stateComp;
String city = (String) cityValHolder.getLocalValue();
String state = (String)stateValHolder.getLocalValue();
String zip = (String) value;
System.out.println("Validating " + city + ", " + state + " " + zip);
boolean isValid = GenericValidator.validateAddress(city, state, zip);
if (isValid) return;
// assume this is an invalid city for the zipcode given
// I've removed the code for the other possibilities since it
// doesn't pertain to my issue here
// Setup the city list
UIComponent cityListComp = uiComponent.getParent().findComponent(cityListComponent);
UISelectOne cityListSelectOne = (UISelectOne) cityListComp;
List<String> cities = GenericValidator.listCitiesForZip(zip);
// add the appropriate items to the selectOneMenu
for (String c: cities) {
// WHAT DO I DO HERE?
cityListComp.setRendered(true);
cityTextComp.setRendered(false);
// now signal a validation exception
FacesMessage msg = <some faces message>;
throw new ValidatorException(msg);
}If I can just figure out how to add the appropriate items to the h:selectOneMenu from within the validator code I presented, I'm home free, I think.

• Validating error with JAXP

i wrote a small app that read a COLLADA instance document and convert it to a html document. First I wrote some xsl stylesheets and now I'm using a JAXP DOM parser to parse the instance document and a JAXP xslt transformer to perform the transformation.
When I use a non-validating parser it seems all work well but when i try to use a validating parser i get this message error:
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: src-resolve: Cannot resolve the name 'xml:base' to a(n) 'attribute declaration' component.
What does it mean?
When I'm at my home pc,I get the error above but when I'm at university lab pc I don't get any error. WHY!? I'm using the same files.

• Validation Error after updating a SelectOneMenu via Ajax (DWR)

I have a <t:selectOneMenu> that is bound to a backing bean together with a <f:selectItems> that is bound to a SelectItems[] attribute in the same backing bean. See below:
<t:selectOneMenu forceId="true"
id="department"
value="#{DeptBean.departmentId}">
<f:selectItems value="#{DeptBean.departmentList}" />
</t:selectOneMenu>
When the user changes another field on my page, I use DWR to retrieve a new list of departments and update the <t:selectOneMenu> accordingly. That works just fine.
The problem is that if I select a value from the updated department list and then submit the page I get a "Validation Error".
I suspect that the JSF Component Tree still has the old list of values and does some validation which obviously fails.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Any ideas would be appreciated!

<t:selectOneMenu forceId="true"
id="department"
value="#{DeptBean.departmentId}">
<f:selectItems value="#{DeptBean.departmentList}"
/>
</t:selectOneMenu>What is the type of departmentId ? If it is not a String, then try making it a String and see if the issue is resolved. I am not sure if this will help you. But its worth a try.

• Read-only radio group losing value on validation error

It took quite a while to track this down, but I think I've got it narrowed down properly. I have an APEX form for updating a record in a databse table with a radio group which is conditionally read-only. If that radio group has a value AND is read-only, when the form is submitted and hits a validation error, the value of the radio group is lost.
For example, the radio group SUBMITTED_FOR_APPROVAL is set to Y and is read-only for a given user. That user then changes something else on the form and submits it. However, the form now hits a validation error for some field. When the form reloads with the validation error displayed, all the fields are restored except the read-only radio group which is now blank. If a select list is used with the identical read-only condition, it works fine. Likewise, if a radio group is used, but the read-only condition is removed, it works fine. It is only when it is a radio group and it is read-only, that the value does not appear to be submitted to the session with all the form values whent he form is submitted.
Is this a bug or am I simply missing something?

• Validation Errors with new Install of W7 x64 Ent Debug Checker On New Equipment

I am receiving multiple Errors. I am trying to use the Windows 7 x64 Enterprise which happens to be the Debug Checker version OS as the host machine. I have only built the machine, and tried to load the Drivers.
I say this due to the starting issue that upon the loading of the entire driver set, (for the MB, Seagate Harddrive, and Vid Card), I would get the BSOD. I identified that the Bluetooth driver was the issue. I then did not load the Bluetooth
drivers for the MB on the 5th or so install of the 7 Ent os. (Tried Server 2k8 r2. Which is not compatible with the MB Drivers.)
I have not received a single Update either. The Auto update feature claims that I am up to date. I do not believe this due to the fact that any fresh Install of any OS has about several decades of updates and reboots to go through.
Upon trying the suggestions on the forum about turning off the IE Addons, the errors remain. Also the results of the sfc /scannow are copied below.
My Questions
I am seeking assistance on solving the Errors that have refused to leave me alone , to put it humorously and am asking for your insight and wisdom. Will you take a look??
Do I need to go to Win 7 Ent or Ult x64 that is not a Debug Checker version.
Are there other Microsoft download Registery file checkers besides the MGA Diag tool that are freeware that I can use to check, for corrupted registry files.
Or do I just need to take it to the stores (Fry’s and Microcenter) that recommended the equipment and have them just reload the software and allow them the headache of solving the error issue, by paying them to install the drivers and have ALL of the
drivers work. (including the blue tooth)
The Goal is to turn it into a Active Directory Server using Virtual Box with Server 2k8 R2 running in the virtual box environment.
Errors and Results.
There are also a number of logs that show various Crit, Error, and Warning logs. I will include those if need be.
This is the majority of the error messages, and I have missed the opportunity to capture others.

• Validation error while trying to change a value in a request scope bean

- JBoss 4.2.3.GA
- JSF 1.2_09-b01-BETA1 (Mojarra)
- Java 5 Update 17
Hello, everybody!
I'm having the following problem in my JSF web application:
I have a request scope backing bean. The first time this bean is loaded (I check
this with the ResponseStateManager.isPostBack() method) I fill a list of SelectItem
instances that are to be displayed in the JSF page in a +<h:selectOneMenu>+ component.
The list goes, of course, to the +<h:selectOneMenu>+'s +<f:selectItems>+ facet child
component. In the constructor I also define the value that goes to the value property
of the +<h:selectOneMenu>+ component. This value is a property in the backing bean, as
is the list of SelectItem instances. Until now we have something like this:
The backing bean declaration in faces-config.xml:
<managed-bean>
<managed-bean-name>solicitacaoGeral</managed-bean-name>
<managed-bean-class>br.urca.solicitacoes.web.PaginaSolicitacaoGeral</managed-bean-class>
<managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope>
</managed-bean>
The relevant parts of the JSF page:
<h:form id="form">
<h:selectOneMenu value="#{solicitacaoGeral.setorOrigem}" id="foco">
<f:selectItems value="#{solicitacaoGeral.setoresOrigem}" />
</h:selectOneMenu>
</h:form>
The relevant parts of the backing bean class:
public class PaginaSolicitacaoGeral
private final List<SelectItem> fSetoresOrigem = new ArrayList<SelectItem>();
private Setor fSetorOrigem;
public PaginaSolicitacaoGeral()
if (primeiraExibicao()) // First load (!ResponseStateManager.isPostBack())
// Fill fSetoresOrigem...
fSetorOrigem = ...
else // Page submitted
// Read below...
public List<SelectItem> getSetoresOrigem()
return fSetoresOrigem;
public Setor getSetorOrigem()
return fSetorOrigem;
public void setSetorOrigem(Setor setorOrigem)
fSetorOrigem = setorOrigem;
private boolean primeiraExibicao()
String idFerramentaExibicao =
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getViewRoot().getRenderKitId();
ResponseStateManager gerenciadorEstadoResposta =
RenderKitUtils.getResponseStateManager(
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(), idFerramentaExibicao);
return !gerenciadorEstadoResposta.isPostback(
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance());
}But when the user submits the form and the bean constructor is called again
(this time the method ResponseStateManager.isPostBack() returns true ),
in the else block in the constructor above, I need to fill fSetoresOrigem with
other values and also the fSetorOrigem field because, of course, the fSetorOrigem
field has to be a valid value that exists in the new fSetoresOrigem list.
JSF is not complaining about the change to the list items, but it is complaining
to the change to the fSetorOrigem field (the list value), even though it is a
valid value present in the list. So I'm getting this error message:
08:23:54,312 INFO [lifecycle] WARNING: FacesMessage(s) have been enqueued, but may not have been displayed.
sourceId=form:foco[severity=(ERROR 2), summary=(form:foco: Validation Error: Value is not valid), detail=(form:foco: Validation Error: Value is not valid)]I suppose that JSF is comparing the new value of the field fSetorOrigem with the value
it has in the view state. As the value is different it is raising the error. That's
what I suppose. But am I not able the change the value in the postback? I've already
checked and the value is valid. It corresponds to a value that exists in the list.
I really need a solution to this problem as I'm stuck with this and can't proceed until
I find a solution to this. What I am doing wrong and how can I solve this?
Thank you very much.

It is comparing the selected value against the List<SelectItem> returned by getSetoresOrigem() as it is during the apply request values phase of the form submit request.Ok. That's what I supposed JSF was doing.
BalusC wrote:
If the selected value isn't in there, then you will get this error.I can understand this, but is this right? As I said, the old value isn't really there because I changed the list values to new ones. But the new value (the value of fSetorOrigem ) corresponds to a value that exist in the new list items, so a valid value. So JSF is not considering that I also changed the list, not just the value. It is comparing the new value with the old list, not the new one. Acting like this JSF is making the page looks like a static HTML page, not a dynamic one. If I can't change the list and the value, what's the point of that? In my point of view I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm not violating any JSF rules.

Thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately, I cannot get it to work.
I've updated the IDC transport server to 3 different filename_formats, and tried the corresponding files, with correct names to match the filename_format.
After updating the IDC I validated the trading partner (host).
I then updated the agreement using the updated IDC, and validated the agreement.
I then validated the host again.
Then I created a new deployment.
And still received the error.
I then deleted the old IDC and created a new IDC and new agreement and new deployment, trying 3 different "Internal delivery channel filename format" values (updating and validating the agreement and host trading partner each time).
And still received the error.
No matter what I set EITHER the IDC "filename format" OR "Internal delivery channel filename format", the b2b.log always reports :
filename_format = %TO_PARTY%_%DOCTYPE_NAME%_%TIMESTAMP%.txt
e.g.
2010.05.16 at 18:05:02:758: Thread-15: B2B - (DEBUG)

Version = 2.0

fullpath:/mnt/maximage_prd/sa_transfer/SA_DRUGS_10.txt
timestamp:Thu Jan 15 09:54:18 PST 1970
When I try a file with a revision number, e.g. SA_DRUGS_10.txt the log shows :

which makes sense as "10" is not a timestamp.
If I exclude the revision, using SA_DRUGS.txt the log shows :

2010.05.16 at 18:27:03:545: Thread-14: B2B - (ERROR) Error -: AIP-51505: General Validation Error
So, the timestamp gets ignored (as there is no "_" delimiter), but it still fails, probably because there is no timestamp in the filename.
So, why won't the UI correctly set the IDC filename_format or Internal filename_format ?

• Validation error for tag cfloop

Hi All,
Complete newbie to CF here. I've inherited (or bought) an online business which has its site written in CF. I haven't done this sort of stuff before but do work SQL for a living and object oriented stuff plus have done a bit of html and php so CF isn't mind blowing to me (in its simple form).
I've downloaded my site on to my computer to run a local copy that I can hack to pieces if needs be. For some reason, I have a few problems with the site running locally. The first error I'm getting is a Attribute validation error for tag cfloop.
Basically, index.cfm has this bit of code in it:
<cfinvoke component="#datasets#" method="storedProcedure" returnvariable="getFeaturedWineries_qry">
<cfinvokeargument name="storedProcedure" value="usp_GetFeaturedWineries">
</cfinvoke>
Ok, easy enough. Anyway, there's a call down the page to:
<cfinclude template = "#REQUEST.CFMPath#includes/displayFeaturedWineries.cfm">
Within displayFeaturedWineries.cfm is the code that calls the stored proc invoked above:
<cfloop query="getFeaturedWineries_qry" startrow="1" endrow="2">
Bam, that's where the error occurs. "The value of the attribute query, which is currently getFeaturedWineries_qry, is invalid.
What??? The stored proc exists and it only returns two records (which begs me to wonder why you would have startrow and endrow but anyway, it doesn't work with or without it).
The other interesting thing is that this works on production, NO PROBLEM!!! WTF? How can it work on production but not locally.
The only thing I'm starting to think is:
a) I've missed a setting somewhere in CF or
b) I'm running Apache as compared to IIS or
c) I'm running SQL 2008 and CF 9 which will no doubt be different to the production host server.
Should B or C be causing THAT type of problem??
Thanks,
Matt

I'm not sure what code apart from the above is going to show you what you could possibly need to solve this, but here goes. The following is only snippets of the code, but they are the relavant snippets. Other stored procs work. The cfdump for getFeaturedWineries_qry shows 'usp_getFeaturedWineries'. I know its there because I've been unable to run "EXEC usp_getFeaturedWineries" after copying it straight out of the code. As previously stated, there are other stored procs which are running fine.

• Validation error message in JSF 1.2

I am testing my Web application inside Tomcat 6.0.2 and using JSF 1.2. I was surprised to see that validation error messages do not only display the custom error message, but also the id tag and a "Validation Error: " text. For instance, if an input text component has the required property set to true and the user does not fill in value, the following error message will be displayed on page submiision: "hello:test: Validation Error: Value is required." instead of just "Value is required.". I am wondering if there is a way to silence the id tag and the "Validation Error: " text. hello:test id tag reflects the fact that the form has an id of "hello" and the input text component an id equal to "test".

Hello
I'm quite new to this technology. Would like to know how can we replace the 'annoying component id' with label while generationg validation/conversion error message.
E.g:
'for:compID' some error message
must be formated as
'compLabel' some error message
I happened to know that this feature is supported in JSF 1.2 impl. But didn't work for me with Sun RI.Can any body give me some sample code snippet for the same
Thanks

• Validation error in Tag Library at deploy time

I am trying to deploy a JSF2 app to NW CE 7.1 EHP1. This application deploy's fine to Tomcat. When I deploy to SAP it gives an error: Error in parsing [META-INF/primefaces-i.tld] TLD file in the following [D:\usr\sap\NCX\J00\j2ee\cluster\apps\com.sap\IDMear\servlet_jsp\IDM\root\WEB-INF\lib\primefaces-1.0.0.jar] JAR file.

From looking at the TLD XSD for JEE 5, the Description field should be allowed. Do you know why it is not comparing the TLD against the correct schema or if there is another explanation?
This is a 3rd party faces component library. Here is where it fails:

<taglib xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-jsptaglibrary_2_1.xsd" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" version="2.1">

Id of the component
<rtexprvalue>false</rtexprvalue>
</attribute>
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It looks like the 3rd party tld did not have the description in the correct order. It has been corrected in a new build.

• Getting mandatory attribute validation error when the value is defaulted through customization

Hi
I am getting Mandatory attribute validation error when we default the value through customization.
In the UI we have attribute called Last Name which is mandatory at EO level. Customer wanted to default Last name to some value, through page composer it is defaulted to some text and saved.
When ever we open the page the the same value is defaulted as Last Name and appearing in the UI. But when we submit the page, EO level validation is failing. hence we are getting last name is missing.
When i debug the code last name attribute value for EO is blank.
In the UI the attribute last name is associated with bindings --> #{bindings.lastname.inputvalue}
The validation is failing if we remove the default binding associated with inputtext box.
Can some body help what can be reason and is there any solution?
Thanks,
Praveen

version 12.1.2
I am struggling with same situation, I can't set the default value at business component because, the default value comes from a REST service at run time. In page A, I have a field F1 that contains value from REST service. Page B has a database bound field F2, whose default value should come from F1 in Page A when a user navigates from Page A to Page B. If I set the value of F2 to be the value of F1, then it displays the value in the UI, but nothing gets submitted to EO and fails at commit.
To make things difficult, here is my situation: Page A lives in bounded taskflow TF1, and Page B lives in bounded taskflow TF2. So I have created an input parameter P1 in TF 2, which carries over the value of F1 in Page A to Page B. When I am in Page B, I can successfully see the value of the taskflow input parameter P1. So, how do I programmatically set the value of field F2 with the value of input parameter P1?
I tried setting the F2.inputValue in a method call M1 in taskflow TF2 prior to Page B, but I get null pointer exception as it can't see field F2 yet.
It seems like a simple thing to do, but I have spent a lot of time trying to make it work without any success.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance.

• JSF, NetBeans and customizing of Standard Validation Errors

Hello together,
i want to use german Standard Validation Errors via a own .properties File:
1.
Here is my faces-config.xml ( the entries are uncommented ! ):
<faces-config>
<application>
<locale-config>
<default-locale>de</default-locale>
<supported-locale>de</supported-locale>
<supported-locale>en</supported-locale>
</locale-config>
*<message-bundle>alles.mymessages</message-bundle>*
</application>
</faces-config>
2.
Here is mymessages.properties-File in package alles:
javax.faces.validator.NOT_IN_RANGE=Das angegebene Attribut liegt nicht zwischen den erwarteten Werten {0} und {1}.
javax.faces.validator.NOT_IN_RANGE_detail="{2}"\:Eingegebener Wert liegt nicht im erwarteten Bereich von {0} bis {1}.
javax.faces.validator.LongRangeValidator.LIMIT=Validierungsfehler
javax.faces.validator.LongRangeValidator.LIMIT_detail=Eingegebener Wert kann nicht in den korrekten Typ umgewandelt werden.
javax.faces.validator.LongRangeValidator.MAXIMUM=Validierungsfehler
javax.faces.validator.LongRangeValidator.MAXIMUM_detail="{1}"\:Wert ist gr\u00F6\u00DFer als das erlaubte Maximum"{0}".
3.
Here the part of the JSF-View with the Validator:
<ui:textField binding="#{WorkTypeEdit.textFieldBeschartKzSoll}" converter="#{WorkTypeEdit.bigIntegerConverter1}"
id="textFieldBeschartKzSoll" required="true" style="height: 24px; width: 48px" validator="#{WorkTypeEdit.longRangeValidator1.validate}"/>
The application still shows the standard englisch validation error text. What is wrong here ?
I' am using NetBeans 5.5.1 with VWP and the deploment is to Glassfish server.
Thanks a lot.
HJA

Hello Raymond,
i did some coding and create additional a custom validator:
My JSF-View part:
<ui:textField binding="#{WorkTypeEdit.textFieldBeschartKzSoll}" converter="#{WorkTypeEdit.integerConverter1}"
id="textFieldBeschartKzSoll" maxLength="2" required="true" style="height: 24px; width: 48px" *validator="#{MyValidation.validateInput}">*
*<f:validateLongRange minimum="1" maximum="9"></f:validateLongRange>*
</ui:textField>
My custom validator in Myvalidation class:
public void validateInput (FacesContext facescontext, UIComponent component, Object value) throws ValidatorException
long min = 0, max = 0;
Locale locale = facescontext.getViewRoot ().getLocale ();
String mb = facescontext.getApplication ().getMessageBundle ();
ResourceBundle rb = ResourceBundle.getBundle (mb, locale);
Validator[] validator = ((UIInput) component).getValidators ();
for (int i=0; i < validator.length; i++)
if (validator[i] instanceof LongRangeValidator)
LongRangeValidator lv = (LongRangeValidator) validator;
long lvalue = Long.valueOf ((String)value.toString ());
min = lv.getMinimum ();
max = lv.getMaximum ();
if (lvalue < min || lvalue > max)
((UIInput) component).setValid (false);
*String message = rb.getString ("javax.faces.validator.NOT_IN_RANGE");*
*String messageDetail = rb.getString ("javax.faces.validator.NOT_IN_RANGE_detail");*
*facescontext.addMessage (component.getClientId (facescontext), new FacesMessage (FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR,message,messageDetail));* }
What happen now is, at first i get the german message because of rb.getString........ so the locale is working
and then the englisch message follows in the message component.
Sorry that i take your time so long...
