Validation error on retry count for session bean

Hi,
In our weblogic-ejb-jar.xml we have configured a retry count for a specific method on a local session bean. When I click on 'Browse' to select a specific method, it only shows '*' as a possible value. When we type the method name by hand, it shows a red cross next to the input field with the error 'Cannot find method "exampleMethod()" in the ExampleBean's Local interfaces'.
We use EJB 3.0 and OEPE 12.1.1.0.1 with Eclipse 3.7.2
The weblogic-ejb-jar.xml looks like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<weblogic-ejb-jar xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-ejb-jar"
        xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

    <retry-methods-on-rollback>
     <retry-count>3</retry-count>
        <method>
            <ejb-name>ExampleBean</ejb-name>
            <method-intf>Local</method-intf>
            <method-name>exampleMethod</method-name>
       </method>
    </retry-methods-on-rollback>
</weblogic-ejb-jar>The bean looks like this:
@Stateless(mappedName = MappedName.DONNA)
@TransactionAttribute(value = TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRES_NEW)
public class ExampleBean implements Example {
}And the interface:
@Local
public interface Example {
}Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks.

  • Message retry count for the message has been exhausted

    Hi,
    I am using 'Custom Document Over Internet' with HTTPS as transport protocol. I have set the acknowledgement mode to Sync in order to receive the synchronous response. B2B is able to post the HTTP request successfully and in turn it receives a synchronous response and a MDN message. At the initial stage, after posting the request it shows the state as 'WaitForAck' for request message and for response and MDN messages, the state is completed.
    After some time when we check the state of request it is changed to 'Error' with the error message as 'Message retry count for the message has been exhausted'. We have not set the retry count and retry interval and so after retrying for 3 times with an interval of 120 minutes it is showing error state as it is not able to correlate the incoming response to the corresspoding request. We have tried the option of setting the Message id of the request in 'replyToMsgID' parameter of response header and tested the flow. But still I am facing te same issue. Please help me to resolve this issue.

    Hi Anuj,
    The property mentioned by NandaGopal has already been added in tip.properties file. I sent the B2B logs in debug mode and tip.properties file to your mail id. Please have a look into that. The result of opatch lsinventory command is

    When i checked the parameter file i can see the value assigned to the $DBConnection_OLAP. The same tasks ran successfully when i ran the ETL process for Complete 11.5.10 for the first time. I did not change anything after that and also all these are came built-in with the installation of Oracle BI Applications.
    Please anyone give me an idea what is causing the problem.
    Thanks,

    in DAC > Run History > Task Details, query
    Name = SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Temporary
    Open Status Description, look for string -lpf, the file after it is the actual parameter file DAC send to INFA server. E.g
    -lpf D:\DACTOPUS\Informatica\parameters\SDE_ORAR12_Adaptor.SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Temporary.txt
    Open the parameter file, most likely the [session_name] does not match with SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Derive_Full or some parameters are missing.

    Hi Rajendar,
    I think the problem with having empty interfaces, or interfaces without methods for EJBs, is that they don't really make  "sense". After deploying your EJB, a client application will use JNDI or dependency injection to access your EJB.  So in your case it will look something like this
    @EJB
        mytestSSBLocal myejb; //(In this case we are using the local interface)
    In the second step, you will want to do something will your EJB, but since mytestSSBLocal doesn't define any methods, there is nothing you can do with your ejb.
    The Exception is telling you that weblogic couldn't find a complaint interface for your EJB.
    best regards, Nicolas

  • Configuring retry count for failed recon events

    Has anyone managed to configure retry count for failed reconciliation events in OIM? By default OIM re-tries five (5) times before giving up the event. In most cases this is highly optimistic.
    In OC4J I tried changing oc4j.jms.listenerAttempts property for JMS server, it didn't have any effect?

For example, if I wish to monitor failed login counts and create an alert to notify me, must I turn on auditing in the database first? I guess what I am asking is based on the tem,plates provided. Is it merely enough to enter values for the various events or must I do something further to turn them on? I realize the question is vague but that is a function of my understanding.
    Thanks.Yes.. you are right .. You need to enable that metric by setting threshold(You can do it through template or manual) and then configure notification rule for the same.

  • Context lost for Session Beans

    Hi Guys,
    Using WLS4.5.1 sp13 on NT4 sp6.
    We are having a problem with the Context of a Session Bean switching from the correct user to the last person who logged in. The users credentials and hence the context filter through from the JSP pages correctly and the Session Bean is created correctly.
    Then when someone else logs in, both users assume the identity of the new user. The context of the EJB's being used changes to the new user for all other users.
    When we do a getInitialContext() we assume the "weblogic.security.acl.Security.getCurrentUser()" properties to create the context. Either this is getting switched somehow or we are getting a circular reference to a Session Bean which is confusing weblogic.
    One thing we do do is after various actions, we change the context to a new user and create a new EJB to validate against this users properties. When finished we throw this EJB away - and resume "presumably" in the original context !?!?!?
    Any ideas ??!!?!?
    Thankx in advance,
    Andrew Harris//

    I'm not sure if it is possible in 6.0, but 6.1 definitely supports this -
    you can specify deployment order using console.

    packaged in an ear file. I'm using weblogic 6.0 sp2.

  • Change retry count for temporary errors ?

    Hi,
    by default the counter for temporaryt errors is fixed to the value 3 in the FM SWP_GET_DEFAULT_VALUES.
    If i want to change this value, do i change the FM standard ?

    Apparently I am asleep today. SWWD is not the same as SWDD. But you can overrule this value set in the job per task. There is a tab in the task (called others). Here you can set a maximum number of repeats for temp errors for the task. When this is higher than the value in the job this value is taken ([according to SAPHelp|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/96/57f804ef0f11d195280000e82dec10/frameset.htm]).

    Hi,
    It looks like , Payload is not valid as per the ecs/xsd so B2B is giving Payload validation Error.
    If Validation is must then validate the payload against ecs/xsd offline and correct.
    or you can turn off validation in Agreement (Validation = false) and redeploy the agreement.

  • Error in updating secondary stateful session bean

              Hi all,
              I have set up a cluster of 2 managed servers with WebLogic 6.1. I have a
              stateful session bean and several stateless session beans. the stateful
              session bean keeps user info and limited cached objects, all are
              serializable. it seems working fine, even after killing any one of the
              servers, as long as one is alive. a java application client creates a
              stateful session bean first, then calls stateless session beans with the
              remote interface of the stateful bean as a method parameter. No problem
              when stateful session bean is created. However, each stateless bean method
              generates the following error message if I turn the debug on (level 64). No
              exception stack traces, and all methods execute successfully.
              <Error> <EJB> <Failed to update the secondary copy of a stateful session
              bean from home:clientsession>
              I wonder what causes the error, and why it tries to update the stateful
              session bean. in all stateless session beans, only read into the stateful
              bean.
              Thank you,
              Fujin

    This has been fixed in WLS 6.1 SP2.

  • Error execute query from stateful session bean

    Hi,
    I created a stateful session bean, it's flow are as following:
    - client invoke open()
    - client "iterate" using method next()
    - client invoke close()
    In open, I get Connection to db-source, create a PreparedStatement, and execeute the query, store in a resultset.
    In next(), I traverse the resultSet using next().
    In close(), I close both resultset, statemtn, and connection.
    Here's the snippet of my code:public SynchCatalogBean implements SessionBean {
        private Connection conn;
        private PreparedStatement stmt;
        private ResultSet rs;
        private static final String = "SELECT ? FROM ?";
        public void openCategory() throws RemoteException {
            DataSource dataSource =
                (DataSource)jndiContext.lookup(DATASOURCE);
            con = dataSource.getConnection();
            stmt = con.prepareStatement(QUERY);
            stmt.setString(1, "id");
            stmt.setString(2, "category");
            rs = stmt.executeQuery(); //this throws exception
        public String next() throws ... {
            if (rs.next())
        public void close() throws ... {
            rs.close();
            stmt.close();
            conn.close();
    }Well, the problem is, once I test with a simple client, the line rs = stmt.executeQuery() produce exception like this:[SynchCatalog] TRANSACTION ROLLBACK EXCEPTION:Error opening category; nested exception is:

    -- Verdi March --

    agree, you cannot pass tablenames as ? parameters. Instead you should generate your SQL statement dynamically
    private static final String = "SELECT ? FROM ";
    public void openCategory() throws RemoteException {
    stmt = con.prepareStatement(QUERY + "category");
    stmt.setString(1, "id");
