Validation on tab and submit

Hello gurus,
I have four tabs on a page the first tab corresponds to page 1 and so on.. second tab for page 2 , third tab for page 3 and fourth tab for page 4.
in every page i got a submit button . The user can select submit button or the tab to go to next page .
I have implemented validations on a page and on submit button the validations are getting validated but not on tab .
how to associate the same validations for the tab too ... so that the validations can be implemented irrespective of whether the user submits the button or the tab.

Using a tab you wold navigate away from the current page. You can check if some changes were made on the page (othervise a validation doesn't make sense) and ask the user if he would like to save the changes before he leaves. See this example:

Why are internal pages giving the error message "The address isn't valid" (New tab and session restore)?

Upon restarting firefox today, I was met not with the usual session restore page to which I have grown so accustomed, but an error page stating:
"The address isn't valid
The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded.
Web addresses are usually written like http://www.example.com/
Make sure that you're using forward slashes (i.e. /)."
This also appears when I open a new tab. I've lost all of former tabs (of which I had a TON) and my easy access to my most visited sites that new tab usually gives me. Manually punching in about:sessionrestore, about:welcomeback or about:newtab all give this same error message.
I've already tried restarting in safe mode, and have reset firefox through the troubleshooting page- neither helped in the slightest. In fact, I "fixed" the about:newtab by changing it to :blank instead, and that got reverted in the Reset. Did the most recent update change how the internal pages are handled or something?
I'd like to fix things back to how they're supposed to be. I end up having to reset Firefox about 5 times a day whenever it gets greedy with my memory, which has never been more than a minor annoyance thanks to the good system restore. But if I can't repair this then it may be time to move on.
Any ideas?

I stated in my initial question that I already went through safe mode (and had also tried the theme thing), but regardless, I have tried again. No dice. They're still not fixing the problem.

I have a validation script once it's validated it should execute the query.But using When-Validate-Item i can't use execute_query.I am able to use the validation in Key-Next-Item trigger but if the user moves the cursor using mouse then it's not working.
How to use the validation script working in Both Scenarios(Tab and Mouse keys).
Can anyone please give inputs to rectify the above issue?.

So you have multiple fields, but on at least one of them if it's valid you immediately want to execute the query?
You could create a hidden field in a control block Query_Now default 'N'. In a WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM on your item, if it's determined to be valid, then set Query_Now to 'Y'.
In a WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE at block level, check if Query_Now is 'Y'. If it is then execute the query (and set it back to 'N').

Tabbing to "Prev", "Next" and "Submit" buttons in FormsCentral template

I try to use my mouse as little as possible when entering data in forms. How does one tab to "Prev", "Next" and "Submit" buttons in FormsCentral template so that all one has to do is press "enter" on the keyboard or spacebar?

I need to validations on click of submit

Hi All,
We are trying to update an interactive form on click of submit button.
We should validate the the fields before it is saved to R/3 database.
we are having a table in which rows are increased dynamically depending on the node <x> size.
i need to check each row which are input fields in table whether it is null or !null.
so we need write script for these validations. please tell me how to get the values of each row and check the value in script coding.i am trying to use the for loop in script.Please correct me.
value node which is mapped to table row is : <x>
value attribute which is mapped to column of the row is: <name>

hi u can validate these values in in wdj itself...it will be similar to looping through tables in that u have in webdynpro java view.
in the livecycle designer under libary tab u have webdynpro tab--->choose submit to sap button and place it in the adobe form ur designing. u can use this button to trigger the code that u have written in webdynpro java.
add submit to sap button in ur form.
this button correspond to the onactionSubmit dat u have written in the ctrller.
so wen u click this the code for validation will be executed.

Your role no longer valid error message and cannot edit page

Unfortunately I don't have access to the file, am asking on
behalf of a
friend who is skittish about his skills navigating a forum.
His question is:
When I open contribute, and select the website I want to
edit..there is a
yellow bar across the top of the screen that says "your role
in this website
is no longer valid. Click connect to update your connection
with a valid
one" so when I click connect, it goes through some screens,
then it asks
what folder on the ftp server the website is in? before there
was this
problem, I could get into the page I wanted to edit, and make
the changes,
then when I would hit the publish button the old page would
show up..so I
could make the changes but they weren't publishing..but at
that point I was
getting no error message???
He's having those two problems.

Hi, This is because SSRS requires a Login to connect to the datasource to process the report when subscription will be occuring at its scheduled time. I would recommend you to store the credential securily into report server.
GoTo: Report>Properties> Click on the Data Sources tab and you will see following options:
a)A shared data source
b)A custom data source
Use option b) and click on option Credentials stored securely in the report server
and provide credential information and further you can use options: Windows credentials and Impersonate the authenticated User if you require. Click on apply button.
*You can use any option of them provided in first option(a) also using the shared data source which is having credential saved into report server.
Once you have done with above you will be able to create subscription.

Open Sysem Preferences from your Apple () menu top left in your screen then select the Firewall tab.
Make sure the Firewall is turned off.

Issue with Panel Tabbed and required property

I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 and I have a pannel tab with 3 tabs and I have an input text in tab2 which is required only in tab2. The problem is when I try to navigate to tab1 from tab2, the required property still shows the error message when nothing is entered .Is there any way to make the required only show the message only when in tab 2??

If you dont want to perform any validations use immidiate=true property. You can use this property either to a button, command link... to most of the ADF components you use to perform any kind of action.

ANNOYING MACKEEPER TABS AND POPUP ADS

Hi there,
I bought a new macbook air 2 weeks ago, all has been well and good (new to mac products, always for android, still am).
Safari has also been good, as well as chrome, but as of recently, this whole "MacKeeper", "Zeobit.com" **** is completely taking over my search engines etc, problems including:
- Clean up mac ads everywhere, as well as the typical "Get a new iPhone 5' rubbish
- When clicking on links, my top sites tab shows up as well as the typical "MacKeeper" download page in another. I can only open links by pressing command to open in new tabs, however my top sites tab opens as well as the Mackeeper download page, along with it's fling annoying ads
- Ads as well before relevant google search links, like "Pages related to...." With zeobit.com on every inch of my ******* screen
Note that:
- I HAVE NOT downloaded anything to do with mackeeper, so uninstalling programs etc is unnecessary information - purely mackeeper tab and popup annoyances
- I have TRIED to 'restart' safari and remove cache, nothing works
- I have done the whole system preferences, privacy, remove all website data (which this zeobit.com **** is listed), and I remove zeobit.com but it just goes back on the list when I go through this process again
- Yes I have 'block popup ads' ticked
Can someone give me a solution to removing these popups with anything to do with zeobit.com and fling mackeeper which doesn't require me to read a long page of information? I'm about to smash my screen in here.

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

Tabs and Forms

I have a jsp with 2 tabs and within each tab there is a form. Each form has its own Action Form bean and Action class, and they are both completely independent of each other. However when I submit the second form, it outputs this error "javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: Cannot find bean under name roleList", roleList is a component in the first form.
Is it possible to get around this and if so, how? Should I be using one Action Form bean for both forms?

Hi all ! Im trying to develop a nice app that should show dates for a certain day and I need to use tabs to show the different deparments and their dates...
Can that be possible using JSTL? Wich is the best approach? Any tut?

If you want to get all tabs at once, then use Javascript/DOM to display/hide block elements representing the tabbed page during onclick.Place each tab page in their own block element (in HTML you usually use <div> for that), hide them using css 'display' property, expect of the one which you initially want to display. Valid values are 'block' and 'none'. On click of each tab, you display the block element associated with the clicked tab and hide the other ones.
I am not going to give more detailed JS/DOM help here, you´re here at a Java forum. Just use the forums devoted to Javascript. There are ones at webdeveloper.com and dynamicdrive.com. Further on, w3schools.com has nice Javascript and HTML DOM tutorials.

Acrobat Reader PPC 2 and submit by email

I searched the forums before posting this question. I created a form with Live cycle Designer which had a submit by email button (with to address set). Running this form on a PDA (Acrobat Reader Pocket PC 2) is fine, however when I try to submit the form it pops up an empty email mail message (i.e. no to address or subject, but with attachment). Is there anyway to get it to at least populate the to address?

Don't use the regular "'submit by email button." If you use this button, you can only submit the data as XML. Instead, make your own button.
In the Object library under Standard objects, click and drag a plain button to your form. Change the Control Type to Submit. Now you should have a new tab called Submit with a "submit to URL" option. In that field type the return email address in the following format: mailto:[email protected] Toward the bottom of the same option, there is a field that says "submit" and the choice is XML data package. Change that to PDF. Then change the name of the button to "Submit by Email." Now when you preview your form and click the Submit by Email button, it should mail the completed form as a PDF instead of simply mailing the raw data.

Tabs and achors

I have a tabset, of which one tab is "instructions". I want this tab to point to a specific named anchor on my single instructions-page. This anchor would obviously change depending on what page the user is currently viewing.
However, at quick glance this does not seem possible, since tabs are using javascript of the form javascript:doSubmit('MY_TAB');Or is it? If it is, how is it done? Do we need some sort of page process or is there an easier way which I have overlooked?

Well, problem solved! Up to a point anyway
1) create an item of the type hidden on the zero-page (item name CURR_PAGE)
2) source of said item is PL/SQL expression or function
3) said expression is "APEX_APPLICATION.G_FLOW_STEP_ID"
4) place said item to appear after header on page zero
THEN
1) edit your page template (yes, I know that might not be the most versatile approach, but as we'll see, we can hide the extra tab with css anytime we want)
2) in the containing html-element of your tabset (in my case, it's a div of the id "mytabs") place your extra tab either after or before your normal #TAB_CELLS# substitution string
like this:

3) so &CURR_PAGE shall always have the value of current page (if I'm on page 1, its 1, on page 2 it's 2 etc), and we place it at the very end of our query satring so it points to a named anchor on page 9 (which is the instructions page)
4) Create your instructions page, with a whole bunch of text and named achors
We (well, I) still need to resolve the issue of the page not submitting when I click on my "special tab", which means if the user click on the instructions-tab he loses all data he has thus far entered. Now that's no good at all. How do I get this tab to submit, onclick="doSubmit('SOME_TAB');" is not working, neither is onclick="doSubmit('NEXT') (the NEXT here refers to a button that will submit the page). There's gotta be a way to make a text link submit, right? It can't be just buttons?
Another try I had was with a list (of type tabbed navigation list) instead of the regular tabs, which makes it easy to manipulate the urls to my liking, but again, clicking on those links will not submit the page. So we're back to the drawing board.
(googling and searching this forum did not help much, I just don't seem to know what exactly it is I should be searching for)
The mylink is like that because this forum will wipe it out of the code box, in reality it is a regular link of the type a href=f?p=&APP_ID.:9::::::::#&CURR_PAGE. which works great except it won't submit with the onclick="doSubmit()"

ICSS_B2C Customer relogin problem "Enter a valid user id and password".

Hi Gurus,
In ICSS_B2C, I have login problem with the userid and password that i have created. I have maintained all necessary settings in XCM, reference user etc.,
I have configured icss_b2c Admin with value "CRM_SU01UserID" for component usertype in http: //server:port/icss_b2c/admin/xcm/init.do.
UserID is getting saved but when i try to relogin with the same, I am getting the message ""Enter a valid user id and password".
I tried with alias, su01i
Guide me Where all I can check to solve this?

Hi
The User Id that you have created, must have been assigned to a BP in the tcode BP and role BUP005.
Goto the BP and check the Internet User tab
The user name that you are suppose to use is the one mentioned in the Internet User field in the Logon data dataset.
