Hi,
Can anyone explain me the process of mapping xml-edi to SAP and validations with respect to business.
An example could really help.

The inbound xml file contains data that needs to be put into a format that sap can understand. There are several ways to do this. You can use XI or any other transaltion utility. Alternately, your xml file can be converted using custom programs using XSLT as a translation tool.
SAP has a number of ways of loading external transactional data into the system. You can use IDOCs or web services, or other methods. The jist of it is you will need to convert your xml file into a format SAP understands.

Xml validation and transformation in a row: Possible?

I'm working on a small tool that uses javax.xml.validation and javax.xml.transform (JDK 6) to perform validation and transformation of xml files in a row.
The problem is, the namespaces and reference to the xml schema required by the validator somehow prevent the transformation from extracting data from the xml file.
Here's the header I use in the xml file:

xmlns="http://www.myPlace.com"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.myPlace.com mySchema.xsd">To sum it up, with the namespace declaration within the xml I can validate but not transform, and without the declaration, I can transform but not validate.

How to remove a font file and its mapping from XML Publisher Administrator

Hello,
I am trying to remove a font file and its mapping from the XML Publisher Administrator. If this is not possible, is there a way to disable it?
The reason why I am asking this is because we just got a new check printer, and I was able to print just fine. However, the MICR font was not coming up properly on the check, so I went ahead and configured the font with the XML Publisher Administrator. Now my check output is coming up blank after running the XML report publisher program. The only change I did was to upload the MICR font and mapped it.
My template and rdf report file are working fine in another environment we have, so I know that's not the problem.
Any help is appreciate it.

Problem in Creating .wsdl file and mapping.xml with ant

hi
i am created my .wsdl file and mapping.xml file with wscompile tool but when i run this by ant tool it show a problem.
the command runs on command prompt but when run throught ant file it shows a following error :-
Execute failed: java.io.IOException: CreateProces: wscompile -define -mapping build\classes\META-INF\mapping.xml -d . -nd build\.................and so on
so if anybody have any idea then plz help me asap

Get Map As XML/Server Image returns blank image on server and errors out on local

In Server, map.getMapAsXML and map.getMapAsServerImage both return blank images though they return a valid url
In local, executing map.getMapAsXML reports the following error:

You may be using Windows with limited functionality as the previous version expired. Did you re-format the drive/partition before you did the "fresh" install if not Windows probably kept the old install information so knew that it was expired previously. Either activate Windows (try typing slui.exe and filling in the product key and activate - then restart the machine) or re-format the drive/partition that Windows is on and re-install Windows again.

Retreive IDOC number and map it to a field in Target XML

I have a requirement where I have to retreive the number of the IDOC generated and map it to a field ID in the target XML.
Do i have to use a UDF for this? can ne one pls explain?

You dont need use a UDF for this.
this is a very simple requiremen.
You can get the IDOC number from source IDOc
under EDI_DC40 node field name DOCNUM.
This DOCNUM fielsd will contain the IDOC number
Map this DOCNUM field from source IDOC to target XML structure.

SEEburger error in conversion from EDI to EDI-XML

Dear SAP experts,
Good day!
Can i seek your inputs regarding this error i'm getting when i've tried to convert the EDI (D93A_RECADV message) into EDI-XML?
I am using BIC for this one.
This is the error i am getting,
[Error:ID=2099;LEVEL=1] InhouseDocReader doSyntaxCheck(): offset[78167]: the found segment is not in the message description.
Conversion error
Does this mean the source file is in wrong structure?

Hi,
Make sure that You used the Source structure in the IR from the External Def of the Seeburger SWCV only.
And deployed the necessary mappings on XI server by making the .sda file in BIC.
And the Incoming file should have the valid values while parsing the EDI file inorder to convert the EDI ti EDI_XML

Lookups are used to identify / request the data from mapping , i mean interupting the process and looking for data which was stored in some where and get that data and comback to process and continue with that data.
why we can use for lookups.
We will use these type of lookups in Message mapping for refering DB Lookup for data base which is not SAP, RFC lookups for SAP data

Some use cases:

What We have done is, took the XML which we are passing to B2B and assigned the XSD_PO_850 schema to it and validated. Its showing as Valid. Not sure, where the issue is now?

Mapping EDI ISA06 segment to BPEL element

We have created a BPEL process for PO Inbound using X12 4010 EDI Version.
One of the trading partner send their EDI document and place them in B2B server.
B2B server has been setup to handle different partners.
One of our BPEL process will deQuee the messages from B2B server.
One of our requirement is to Map ISA06 segment value to BPEL one of element.
Where these values will be stored in this process and how can acchieve this requirement?

Actually If you see the EDI-XML generated by the B2B.The
<Internal-Properties>
<Data-Structure Name="Interchange">
<Lookup Name="InterchangeSenderID">SOME value </Lookup>
<>
section will have the value you are looking for i.e the ISA06 segment.
If you are using the 850.ecs and 850.xsd shipped with the product then the ISA segments are not there.
However the edi-xml generated by B2B has that value.
Now while doing the Mapping we have to extract the value from Internal properties->datastructure->lookup.
I hope these inputs would help you get started.
One more thing I wanted to know are you using XML Gateway from APPS Adapter
for invoking Oracle APPS.

Error/Warning while validating a mapping

I'm using OWB version 9.2 and database 9i.
I have few major problems in OWB. We have stage and star schemas on the same database instance. The source system is on a different database instance. There are database links created between target instance to source.
I have about 20 mappings; all validated, deployed and executed successfully about 2 weeks back.
Beginning of this week I logged on to OWB and tried to make some changes to one of the mappings. Before I made changes I tried to validate the mapping and I got following warnings:
"VLD-1008: Referenced mapping column <COLUMN_NAME> does not exist"
"VLD-1003: Reference <COLUMN_NAME> between mapping object and repository object does not exist".
When I click on "View Details" it says I need to reconcile outbound of the staging table.
When I have not made any changes to the mapping why do I need to do this? I want to know under what circumstances do we get this message?
Another weird thing is I validated the mapping, after 15 minutes I tried to deploy this and still got the above warnings, although I had reconciled outbound and successfully validated the mapping. Am I missing something here?
Another problem is I have a mapping which loads a dimension from staging table. Very simple basic mapping all it does is dumps from staging table to dimension and key is generated by sequence generator. Both stage and star schemas are on the same database instance. When I try to validate this mapping it gives me error:
"VLD-2769: Database link is not allowed for data target <DIMENSION_NAME>" and when I click view details it shows following:
"Loading of data across database link is not supported. Deploy this mapping within the same database instance as the actual target and remove the database link access specification from the physical configuration of this data target operator."
I have not specified any database link or schema name in the mapping configuration; both stage and star schemas are on same instance. Although there are two instances that it works fine. First if I provide the schema name in the mapping configuration it gives me warning but deploys and executes fine. Secondly if I go to deployment manager, select the mapping and click deploy it validates successfully. Why do I get this error when I validate in the mapping editor?
I never had these problems before; all the mappings were validated, deployed and executed successfully.
I would like to know where/what could have gone wrong? Could any of you point me in the right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok look i also had this errors:

this errors could be due to that something has change in the source database, in this case could be that somebody change the name column since the last time you did the load.
A possible solution is that you open the mapping (edit) and reconcile the tables both the table "from"(where the table came) and the table "to"(the table destination).
ooh and check the source system for any table that has changed, if it changed, so you have to load again the table.

How do I enable Firefox 4 to do a search on more than one word (e.g. "yahoo mail") without receiving the error message "the URL is not valid and cannot be loaded"?

After loading Firefox 4.0, I changed the address bar search engine to Google Search by Name, so I'd be taken straight to the most relevant webpage when I type in a word.
It works fine when I type in one word, but if I use a search with more than one word (e.g. "yahoo mail" or "google maps") I get an alert saying "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded". Is there any way I can fix the address bar to accept multiple word searches?
I've tried disabling all my add-ons, but it didn't make any difference.

Hi, this should sort out your problem:
1. Type in "about:config" into the address bar, this will open the settings menu. Click on "I'll be careful, I promise!"
2. Search for "keyword.URL" in the filter bar.
3. Enter "http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&q=" into the value field.
I'm no expert, but I had the same problem which got on my nerves after being so used to being able to type anything in, and following these steps fixed it.

Reading A xml file and sending that XML Data as input to a Service

I have a requirement to read(I am using File adapter to read) a xml file and map the data in that xml to a service(schema) input variable.
Example of xml file that I have to read and the content of that xml file like below:

My flow is like below:
ReadFile file adapter -------------------> BPEL process -----> Target Service.I am using transform activity in BPEL process to map the data from xml file to Service.
I am using above xml file as sample in Native Data format(to create XSD schema file).
After I built the process,I checked file adapter polls the data and receive the file(I am getting View xml document in EM console flow).
But transform activity does not have anything and it is not mapping the data.I am getting blank data in the transform activity with only element names like below

Thank you very much for your replies so far so that I have some progrees in my task.
As you told I could have put default directory in composite.xml,but what happenes is the everyday new final subdirectory gets created in the 'soafolder' folder.What I mean is in the c:/soafolder/1234_xmlfiles folder, the '1234_xmlfiles' is not manually created one.It is created automatically by executing some jar.
Basically we can't know the sub folder name until it is created by jar with its own logic. whereas main folder is same(soafolder) ever.
I will give you example with our folder name so that it would be more convenient for us to understand.
1) yesterday's the folder structure : 'c:/soafolder/130731_LS' .The '130731_LS' folder is created automatically by executing some jar file(it has its own logic to control and create the subdirectories which is not in our control).
2) Today's folder structure : 'c:/soafolder/130804_LS. The folder is created automatically(everytime the number part(130731,130804).I think that number is indicating 2013 july 31 st like that.I have to enquire about this)is changing) at a particular time and xml files will be loaded in the folder.
Our challenge : It is not that we can put the default or further path in composite.xml and poll the file adapter.Not everytime we have to change the path in composite.xml.The process should know the folder path (I don't know whether it is possible or not.) and everyday and file adapter poll the files in that created subfolders.
I hope you can understand my requirement .Please help me out in this regard.
