  • I want to set text label and set filter value as header  in query

i want to set any text label or i want to design query in such manner that whatever the value is selected by client in selection screen  is become heading in query . like if i select posting date then that range should be displayed in heading portion of the query.

Goto teh Query Description and select the Text variable Icon (yellow coloured). Create a Text variable with processing type as Replacement path and give the Characteristic as the posting date.
If you are having range then you need to create two Text variables one for FROM and other for TO. Use both the text variables in teh query description..

  • ERROR BRAIN (738): Variable 0P_KEYDT not in query

    Hi all,
Can anyone help with the following error that i am getting while executing a query
ERROR BRAIN (738): Variable 0P_KEYDT not in query
    Regards,
    P

Make sure you still have the variable in the query. You did not delete it by mistake. Error is it self says that it can not find that 0P_KEYDT in the query. YOu can also try removing and adding it again.
Sometimes the order of making variable matters when you have dependency.

  • Using ODI variable in Header File

    Hi,
I want to append header/footer file to the main data file.
Is it possible to do this:
    1) I want to write to the header file - table name, rowcount, .. and various other detials. But i do not want to use an interface/odioutfile/odisqlunload for this.
    2) I want to use ODIvariables and write the varaible value to Header.txt file.
    Is such a thing possible?
If NO, then what could be the other soultion?
    Thanks.

    Thanks Dev.
    I followed the following steps
    1. Refresh the variable for header (OK)
    2. Call the Variable using OdiOutFile [ Header is populated ] (OK)
    3. Call the Interface SQL to File Append [ In the option have the Header as no since you are getting the Header from the Variable ] (OK )
When I see my output file its coming as this
2stt_acct:1234 (2 is the row count - supposed to be a separate line)
    stt_acct:5678
I wanted the file to be the following
    2 (header representing row counts)
    stt_acct:1234
    stt_acct:5678
How can I make this happen

  • How to put variable selection and the query result the same screen

    Dear all,
how can I put the variable selection and the query result in the same screen? Please advise. Thanks.
    Jin Ming

Not sure if you are saying you want the prompts on the same page as the results... however in 7.0 with BEx Analyzer, you can insert a text object from the design toolbar and assign it to the variable.... this way, lets say you run query for period 6, then the text object will display "6" on the same area where the query results are.

  • Variable column header in table control

Hi all, I need a variable column header text in table control. I am doing the following but is not working,
I have deleted the header field that the wizard created me thorugh a internal table, and put a I/O field instead.
I have assigned a variable in the name of this field.
In the PBO I am writing the following:
      LOOP AT   i_details
           WITH CONTROL tc_detail
           CURSOR tc_detail-current_line.
        MODULE m_modify.
      ENDLOOP.
    MODULE m_modify OUTPUT.
      IF tc_detail-current_line EQ '1'.
        var1(header column text) = 'text1'.
        var2(header column text) = 'text2'.
      ENDIF.
    ENDMODULE.
But with this is not working, the rare thing is that the first time that the screen is shown, this value is not appearing. After press Enter or some action, the value appears.
I am not doing anything in PAI. The only code that is in PAI is:
    Loop at i_details.
    endloop.
    Nothing more.

    Hi,
First just drag and drop all the fields that are to be a part of the table control. Then drag the label on the column header. Give name and text to the label.

  • How to arrange the variables in Selection Screen (Query)

    Hi,
I am having Query-A (Contains 4 variables, among those, one is mandatory and one is Replacement Variable)
Using Replacement Variable am calling Query-B (Contain one mandatory Variable).
Now when am executing Query-A, in Variable screen its shows
    Query-A--Mandatory Variable
    Query-A--*********
    Query-A--*********
    Query-B--Mandatory Variable. (like this)
But i need the Query-B--Mandatory Variable to be position in top. how to achieve this.
    Regards,
    Jackie.

    Hi Friends,
Thanks for your quick replies, but like Dieu said i need to rearrange Variable between Query-A and Query-B.
    Query-A Variables
    Query-A--Mandatory Variable
    Query-A--********
    Query-A--********
    Query-B Variables
    Query-B--Mandatory Variable
I have join both the Query using Replacement Path Variable.
Now when i execute Query-A, it shows the variables in Query-B also. Like this
    Query-A--Mandatory Variable
    Query-A--********
    Query-A--********
    Query-B--Mandatory Variable
But i need to like the following
    Query-A--Mandatory Variable
    Query-B--Mandatory Variable
    Query-A--********
    Query-A--********

  • Using environment variables in a wmi query

    Hello
I'm trying to use WMI Queries on Group Policy Preferences to targeting computers on my network.
I have a file named testfile.txt in Windows directory and I check its last modified date to replace the policy files if the date is older of than current file.
    I set this query : Select * from CIM_DataFile where Name='C:\\Windows\\testfile.txt' and LastModified<'20140910145110.821214+180'.
The replace action occurs on all machines where windows directory is 'C:\Windows\'. But there are machines on network where windows is installed on directory 'C:\Windows7'.
So I was thinking to use %WindowsDir% environment variable in the WMI query to ckeck testfile.txt date on the correct directory where windows is installed.
I've tried different ways to use this environment variable in WMI query with no success (For example: Select * from CIM_DataFile where Name='%WindowsDir%\\testfile.txt' and LastModified<'20140910145110.821214+180').
Can someone help me with the correct syntax?
    Thanks.

    > is installed.
Short answer: You cannot use environment variables in WMI filters.
But you can modify your query:
    Select * from CIM_DataFile where (Name = 'C:\\Windows\\testfile.txt' or
    Name = 'C:\\Windows7\\testfile.txt' ) and
    LastModified<'20140910145110.821214+180'
    Event this one should work:
Select * from CIM_DataFile where Name like 'C:\\Windows%\\testfile.txt'
    and LastModified<'20140910145110.821214+180'
BTW: The variable should be %windir% anyway, not %windowsdir% :)

  • Declare variables in an MDX query

Is it possible to declare variables in an MDX query like transact sql? something like this:
    DECLARE @date1 date
    DECLARE @month1 int
    set @date1 = '12-12-2012'
    set @month1=DATEPART(m, @date1)-1
    select @date1 as dt1, @mesreferencia as mt1

    Hi ,
In MDX , you will not be able to put variables in MDX. But Query scoped calculated measures can be used for such cases. The equivalent MDX for the above is
    WITH MEMBER [MEASURES].Dt
    As
    CDATE('12-12-2012')
    MEMBER MEASURES.DTPart
    As
    DATEPART("M", MEASURES.Dt)-1
    SELECT {MEASURES.Dt,MEASURES.DTPart} ON 0
    FROM [Adventure Works]
