Variable order in IP function pop-up

Hi gurus,
We've created a formula that requires many variable values to the usser in a pop-up (like 10 variables). The problem is that the variable apper in a order that we don't like.
Do you know how to order the variables in the pop-up???
Thanks in advance.
Mr Joseph

We already know how to order variables in queries. The problem is about ordering variables in IP formulas.
The variables needed for the formula are different from the ones defined in the query. As it is possible to order the variables in queries, we want to do the same for the formulas but, we don't know where to do that.
Does anybudy know how?
Thanks in advance,
Mr Joseph

  • Variable screen in Planning Function for Integrated Planning

    Hi all.
    I have created a planning application with the WAD, based on an Input_ready Query. Manual planning works fine and even planning functions go well, using the command wizard.
    However, if I try to use a variable in a planning function and I set the parameter to pop-up the variable screen within the command wizard for a planning function, I get an 'uncaught exception'. An almost blank IE-window pops up which is supposed to display the variables, but it fails.
    Does anybody know how to solve this?
    Gr.,
    Marc.

    Hello Marc,
    do you still have this error? I encountered the same problem with SPS 9. Maybe you should install at least SPS 10. The variable popup works correct there.
    Best regards

  • Getting variables out of a function

    Hi,
    In order to reduce the use of the calculation event in a repeating subform, I have set up a function (riskRating) in a script object (calculateRisk), which the exit event of a dropdown (RA_severity) calls.
    //This is the Javascript in the exit event...
    var vLikelihood = RA_likelihood.rawValue; //dropdown list 1
    var vSeverity = RA_severity.rawValue; //dropdown list 2
    var vRisk;
    calculateRisk.riskRating(vLikelihood, vSeverity);
    console.println("Risk after function = " + vRisk);
    RA_risk_rating.rawValue = vRisk;  //this line is meant to assign the value of vRisk from the function to another field (but it doesn't)
    //This is the function within calculateRisk script object...
    function riskRating(vLikelihood, vSeverity)
        var vRisk;
        if (vLikelihood == null && vSeverity == null)
            vRisk = null;
        else
            vRisk = vLikelihood * vSeverity;
        console.println("Risk inside function = " + vRisk);
        return vRisk;
    I have tried various approaches to get the answer back out of the function and to be used for the remainder of the script in the exit event script.
    The console show the correct calculation in the function, but it is not updating the variable outside of the function.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Niall

    Niall,
    Take a look at the attached. The form contains four numeric fields: 'a', 'b', 'total', and 'other'. It does a calculate on fields 'a' and 'b'. On the exit event of 'b' it calls 'addNumbers()' in 'MyScriptObject'. The function updates 'total' and returns the value of 'total' to be bound to 'other'.
    // form1.page1.subform1.b::exit - (JavaScript, client)
    other.rawValue = MyScriptObject.addNumbers(a,b,total);
    // form1.#variables[0].MyScriptObject - (JavaScript, client)
    function addNumbers(a_,b_,total_) {
        return(total_.rawValue = a_.rawValue + b_.rawValue);
    Is that what you are looking for?

  • DS 1.3 changing the value of a variable in a planning function

    Hello,
    i created a planning application with Design Studio 1.3 and one of my planning functions is a revaluation function which uses a variable for the revaluation factor. In Analysis for Office you can set a value for this factor by selecting the planning function and then give a fixed value or set a reference to a cell in your workbook. However in Desing Studio i don't see my variable under my planning function and i also couldn't find a script command to use for this problem because the variable is not known to Design Studio. Right now i can only set a default value for the variable in SAP BW (RSPLAN) but i would like to let the user enter a value at runtime of my application.
    Anyone already had a similar problem and can confirm that it is not possible to access variables used in planning functions or has found a way and can tell me how to achieve this?
    Greetings,
    André

    Hi Andre,
    we are using the revaluation function type, too.
    For setting the variable for the factor you should use the following script:
    <ds_planningsequenceOrFunctionAlias>.setVariableValueExt("<techNameOfTheVariable>", <value>);
    It could be possible, that you cannot see the variable in the value help (strg + space) after inserting the planning sequence or planning function to your Design Studio application.
    Please, enter the technical name of the variable manually, it should work.
    We have no problems. In our application the variable is filled by an input field value.
    Kind regards
    Patrick

  • [svn] 4634: First part of glue code for allowing Halo components to use the new Text Layout Framework , in order to get functionality such as bidirectional text.

    Revision: 4634
    Author:   [email protected]
    Date:     2009-01-22 17:38:56 -0800 (Thu, 22 Jan 2009)
    Log Message:
    First part of glue code for allowing Halo components to use the new Text Layout Framework, in order to get functionality such as bidirectional text.
    Background:
    TLF is making this possible by implementing a TLFTextField class. It is a Sprite that uses TLF to implement the same properties and methods as the legacy TextField class in the Player. Thanks to the createInFontContext() bottleneck method in UIComponent, it can be used by a properly-written Halo component (such as those in Flex 3) without any modifications to the component.
    Note: Text should render similarly -- but is unlikely to render identically -- when a component uses TLFTextField vs. TextField. The width and height may be different, affecting layout; text could wrap differently; etc. This is a fact-of-life based on the fact that TLF/FTE and TextField are completely different text engines.
    Whether a Halo component uses TLF or not to render text will be determined in Flex 4 by a new style, textFieldClass. (Gumbo components always use TLF.)
    TLFTextField is currently only partially implemented. It does not yet support scrolling, selection, editing, multiple formats, or htmlText. Therefore it can only be used for simple display text, such as a Button label.
    Details:
    The TextStyles.as bucket 'o text styles now includes a non-inheriting textFieldClass style. It can be set to either mx.core.UITextField or mx.core.UITLFTextField. These are the Flex framework's wrapper classes around the lower-level classes flash.text.TextField (in the Player) and its TLF-based workalike, flashx.textLayout.controls.TLFTextField.
    The global selector in defaults.css currently sets it to mx.core.UITextField using a ClassReference directive. For the time being, all Halo components will continue to use the "real" TextField.
    The new UITLFTextField is a copy of UITextField, except that it extends TLFTextField instead of TextField. This class has been added to FrameworkClasses.as because no classes in framework.swc have a dependency on it. It will get soft-linked into applcations via the textFieldClass style.
    The TLFTextField class currently lives in a fourth TLF SWC, textLayout_textField.swc. This SWC has been added to various build scripts. The external-library-path for building framework.swc now includes all four TLF SWCs, because UITLFTextField can't be compiled and linked without them. However, since they are external they aren't linked into framework.swc.
    Properly-written Halo UIComponents access their text fields only through the IUITextField interface, and they create text fields like this:
    textField = IUITextField(createInFontContext(UITextField));
    (The reason for using createInFontContext() is to support embedded fonts that are embedded in a different SWF.)
    The createInFontContext() method of UIComponent has been modified to use the textFieldClass style to determine whether to create a UITextField or a UITLFTextField.
    With these changes, you can now write code like
    to get two Buttons, the first of which uses UITextField (because this is the value of textFieldClass in the global selector) and the second of which uses UITLFTextField. They look very similar, which is good!
    Currently, both Buttons are being measured by using an offscreen TextField. A subsequent checkin will make components rendering using UITLFTextField measure themselves using an offscreen TLFTextField so that measurement and rendering are consistent.

  • How to use variable in the LIKE function along with % operators

    Hi,
    Is there any way i can use the variable in the Like function. That means i have query like
    SELECT * FROM Device WHERE DeviceName LIKE %v_MediaName%;
    Here "v_MediaName" is the userdefined variable which contains string. I want to retrieve all the records from the "DEVICE" table whose DeviceName LIKE %v_MediaName%;
    If i put it in a single quotes '%v_MediaName%' then the v_MediaName will be treaded as a string instead of a variable. I am using this query in a Procedure.
    please help me out to resolve the issue.
    thanks

    LIKE '%'||v_MediaName||'%';
    Will not make use of the indexes though.

  • How can I pass variable to eventdriven startElement() function?

    I am new to java and SAX. Could anybody tell me how to pass variable to eventdriven startElement function? I tried the following code but didn't work.
    public class ReadXmlSax extends DefaultHandler
    String elementName;
    String requestName;

    SAXParserFactory factory = SAXParserFactory.newInstance();
    try {
    // Parse the input
    SAXParser saxParser = factory.newSAXParser();
    saxParser.parse(f, handler);
    } catch (Throwable t) {
    t.printStackTrace();
    e = v.elements();
    return(e);

                   String serverName = attrs.getValue("",requestName);
                   v.addElement(serverName);

    I attached the main call the ReadXmlSax class. I added the
    "system.out.println(elementName);" in the function getAttribute and startElement as well. I got printing out "name" for elementName from function getAttribute but got others printing out "null" for elementName from function startElement. Any suggestions? thanks

  • Loading Variables in a Class Function

    I am having problems loading variables from an external text
    file inside of a class function. The text file has been created
    properly, and the code that I use in the class is as follows:
    _root.createEmptyMovieClip("texRules", -100);
    loadVariables("texRules.txt", _root.texRules);
    m_Rules = _root.texRules.rules;
    I create an empty movie clip on the root frame named
    texRules, load the variables into that movie clip with the next
    line and then set my member string value equal to the text file
    variable named rules. When I run the program, I get an undefined
    for my m_Rules.
    Here is my texRules.txt:
    rules=THESE ARE THE TEXAS HOLD'EM RULES.
    Any ideas as to what I am doing incorrectly?

    I've opted to use the LoadVars instead of creating an empty
    movie clip and loading the variables there. Here is my new code.
    public function setRules():Void
    var rulesLoader:LoadVars = new LoadVars();
    rulesLoader.onLoad = function (success:Boolean):Void
    if (success)
    trace(rulesLoader.rules);
    this.m_Rules = rulesLoader.rules;
    else
    trace( "Unable to load external file.");
    rulesLoader.load("texRules.txt");
    Here is where I define my properties of my class:
    class TexHoldem extends Game
    //Class member properties
    //Private Properties
    private var m_Rules:String;
    private var m_Target:MovieClip;
    Here is my constructor:
    public function TexHoldem(target)
    this.m_Target = target;
    super("Texas No Limit Hold'Em", 0, 1);
    setRules();
    The setRules function works fine, the only problem now is
    that I can't save the variables once the onLoad function goes out
    of scope. I've thought of modifying it so that it returns a type,
    but that seems difficult. The two easiest solutions I see is to
    create an empty text field that holds the string or find a way to
    get the rulesLoader.rules outside of the onLoad scope. Any
    suggestions now? Sorry to change the problem on you.

  • Access payroll variables from custom payroll function

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement to create a custom payroll function that returns some data from IT0006 and IT0032.
    I have written the code in PCBURZDE0, as the payroll is for Germany, it does read the data needed.
    My question is, how I can access the variables specified for the function in the payroll schema.
    Schema definition in PE01
    Zeile     Fkt        Par1  Par2 Par3 Par4 D Text
    000010 BLOCK BEG                              Fahrradleasing
    000020 _DFRD &PRO GEN
    000030 BLOCK END
    If I double-click Par1 for function _DFRD (&PRO), then I see he two variables I should write the data to:
    Zeile  VarArg. FZ T Operation        Operation Operation Operation Operation Operation *
           -------------+---------+------------------+---------+---------+---------+---------+
    000010                  AMT= PKWWRPRINT     *
    000020           1     AMT= ENTKM  PRINT
    So, as I understand I should write the two variables PKWWR and ENTKM, I have the values in the function code, but I don't know how to access these variables.
    Thanks for your help!
    Gyöngyi

    1 - PIT is a Function that is used in the Payroll Schema to "Process the Internal Table".
    2 - You mentioned that you had created a Custom Function to read IT0006 and IT0032, and I only suggested to you that you could have that Custom Function generate Information WageTypes and save them in the Input Table where they could then be used in PCRs.
    3 - I did not mention that you can read only one value through operation AMT, but I mentioned that using AMT=xxxxxx followed by AMT=yyyyyy means that the first statement is useless.  On the other hand, using AMT=xxxxxx followed by AMT+yyyyyy and AMT+zzzzzz will result in the amount being the total of the 3 values.
    4 - Please read some documents on Schemas, Functions and PCRs, such as in the Wikis on this site, and study your current Payroll Schema, it's sub-schemas, it's functions and the operations in it's PCRs.  Note that t-code pe01, pe02 and pe04 can be used to find some documentation on functions and operations.

  • SRM 7.0: Purchase Order Response (BUS2209) functionality, workflow

    Hello,
    We're trying to configure the purchase order response (BUS2209) functionality. We have configured the BUS2209 document types and numberranges and maintained the 'purchase order response expected' marker for certain vendors. We therefore expected to be able to post a POR via the Purchasing:PO powl however the 'create POR manually' and other 'POR actions' are greyed out. Has anybody been able to post BUS2209 documents in an SRM 7.0 system?
    Also if we look at: IMG -> SAP SRM -> SRM SERVER -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Business Workflow -> Define Process Levels  -
    No BUS2209 object is list, no workflow can be maintained (you can't add anything manually either). We have activated the Process Controlled Workflow for all business objects.
    Any help and input is very much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Tim

    Hi Tim,
    I did two things:
    1) I activated the start conditions for the three POR workflows as supplied by SAP. I still think this has nothing to do with the problem, but you never know.. The setting is located in the IMG under Workflow -> Application-controlled wfl, or similar (I don't have access to the system right now).
    2) I created a tolerance group Zxxx with tolerance key PR; I used 'limit as percentage' of 5% in both upper and lower limit.  I assigned the key Zxxx to the attribute TOG of a user (with the role /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER)  in PPOMA_BBP.
    This caused the options to be enabled. I then successfully created a PO response manually for a PO, which in turn caused a change version of the PO to be created. This change version had to be approved in order for the changes in the POR to be valid.

  • Variable problem in a function module

    Hi all,
    I'm writing a function module FM1 via SE37.
    Data A type I.
    Function FM1.
      perform x.
    Endfunction.
    Form x.
    Endform.
    The system warned me that variable A has been defined,
    is that becoz I've defined variable A in another function module within the same function group?

    Hi macy,
    1. If we declare any variable
        before any function defitinoin,
      (just like u have done)
    2. Then, it is as good as
       GLOBAL VARIABLE
    (which can be accessed via all fm in that group)
    3. Hence, your error is coming.
    4. Either give another name to your variable,
      or
      change the POSITION of the variable definition,
      (in the other FM)
    5. ie.
      WRITE BELOW THE FUNCTION DEFITNIION.
      FUNCTION MYFUNC.
      data :a type c. <----
      ENDFUNCTION
    6. not like this.
      data :a type c. <----
      FUNCTION MYFUNC.
      ENDFUNCTION

  • How to disable Purchase Order Print Preview function in the Portal

    We wish to expose some purchase order functions in our SAP Portal 7.0. The problem is that when we run any of the purchase order transactions as SAPGUI for HTML, the Print Preview function displays the full purchase order. This means that any user who wishes to short cut processes can display and then print a purchase order before it has been approved if they use the Portal to display the purchase order.
    If the purchase order transaction is run from the normal SAPGUI, the Print Preview function only displays the top of the purchase order and the print function is disabled. Has anyone tackled this problem before and worked out a way of stopping users from using the Print Preview function to display purchase orders in the Portal and then print them?
