Variable that carries tcode in exit

Hello,
i would like to know if there is a  variable in user exit that carries information about the tcode from which that exit has been triggered.
If you want to use the same exit for different tcodes, how to make that difference in code?
Thanks in advance!
MaryM

Use SY-TCODE which gives u the tcode from where it is triggered.

  • Problem with customer exit variable that is input ready as well

    Hello all,
    I'm facing an issue with a customer exit variable that again has been defined as input ready. I'm not sure why it is working incorrectly and I#m wondering if this is a bug or if I do s.th. stupid.
    The problem is that in the exit program ZXRSRU01 this varibale does not go into the program code I have prepared for this variable. I have added entry points for all three i_step values 1,2,3, but the code will never be touched and in debugging I can see that it simply pypasses the code for this variable.
    I have tried to enter a value or to leave it blank, no difference.
    When I run another test by just using a customer exit variable w/o input ready capability, then I have no issue, the exit does exactly what I have coded.
    Does this mean, that a customer exit variable along with input readiness dows not work ?????
    You may ask why I need this variable. Well, my intention is to use the input value of this variable A to derive other values for a complete different variable B. Afterwards I want to erase the input given into variable A to have it blank.
    Any comments are appreciated
    Thanks

    Hi Heiko,
    I assume A & B variables are defined on different Characteristics. If you wish to derive B based on A, you can create the Query Characteristic Restriction on B & have a dummy RKF restricted on A whose processing is by Manual Input; where processing of B is by Customer Exit. In istep 2 you can check for B, read A & derive B. There would not be a need to blank out A since the Query would not be restricted on A - you can hide the dummy RKF from showing in the output. Just a thought.

  • Using a environment variable that was created during the Task Sequence process - SCCM 2012 R2

    Hi,
    I'm triyng to use a environment variable that is create in the beginning of the Task Sequence.
    1. I'm using a VBScript that get the Exit Code of an application, and create the environment variable "iReturn" with the value of the exit code. (This is working)
    2. I add this variable in the CustomSettings.ini, like this "iReturn=%iReturn%
    3. After the step that I run the VBScript I put the "Gather" step to get the variables, but looking in the BDD.log the iReturn variable appears the same as the CustomSettings.ini configuration "iReturn=%iReturn%". (But, if I put a "Restart
    Computer" step after the VBScript, the BDD.log shows the iReturn variable with the right code.)
    Question: How can I update the environment variable of Windonws XP to use in the Task Sequence without restart.
    OR
    How can I configure autologon in SCCM 2012 (if have no way to update withou restart computer).
    I already tried the autologon with registry settings and a specific user, If I starts the process with this user works, but If I starts the process with other user, after the autologon the process doesnt continue, I have to do logoff and login with the user
    that I started the process.
    PS: All this steps have to be executed before the WinPE phase.

    Environment variables must be explicitly set every time a system boots so unless you have a process to repopulate it after the reboot, it won't persist automatically.
    Why not store the value in a task sequence variable so that it persists after a reboot?

  • SELECT-OPTIONS for variables that cannot have a range

    Hi all,
    There is an option to show only one input-field for a select-options declaration by using the 'no intervals' option. But it is still possible for the user to specify ranges when doing multiple selections (i.e. specify intervals for the variable).
    However, if I have a variable that implicitly does not have ranges, (e.g. 'Arjun' TO 'Shankar' makes no sense at all), I want to let the user do multiple selections for it, without allowing him/her to enter ranges for it.
    Can I do this in a selection screen in any way (even if it involves not using select-options)? And if yes, how?

    Use this:
    SELECT-OPTIONS xxxx FOR yyyy NO INTERVALS
                                               NO-EXTENSION.

  • Using a Meter control in LV Touch Panel, and using shared variables that are custom controls.

    I Just started using LV touch Panel module with an NI TPC-2106.
    I have two differenct problems:
    1) I was planning on using the "Meter" control quite a bit. I can set up the meter exactly how I like on the host PC, but on the touch Panel computer it seems to ignore my adjustments, mainly the start and end of the scale - i.e. I would like control to run from 0 to 360 with 0 straight up, using the entire circle. However, on the Touch panel computer it always puts 0 at about 7 o'clock and 360 at about 5 o'clock. I have also tried adding markers to no avail.
    2) I am communicating with a compact fieldpoint controller. I can creat a shared variable that is a simple double with no problems. However, I have some shared variables that use a custom control for the variable type - bascially a cluster with a couble doubles, a time stamp, and an enumeration. It lets me drag the shared variable into my diagram, but it seems to ignore it when I run it.

    Ipshita_C,
    - I am using LV 8.6.1f1and LV Touch Panel 8.6.1.
    - I have attached a simplified VI that shows how I want to use the meter. Notice that the placement of the endpoitns does not work correctly on the touch panel, and that it ignores the arbitrary markers that I placed.
    - I also have included an XY graph control that displays on the TPC with margins around the graph area that I removed from the graph control.
    - For the shared variable, it appears to be an issue related to the touch panel, not fieldpoint. I found another thread in this forum that mentioned that clusters containing Enumerations do not work in shared variables on the touch panel. I changed the enumeration to an integer and it now works fine.
    In general, there seem to be a disappointing number of limitations in the touch panel implementation. My biggest concern is that I have not found any documentation from NI that lists these limitations. I seem to have to try things out and see what works and what does not work. Can you point me to a comprehensive list of touch panel modules limitations?

  • BEx: How to change a Query Variable that is not visible in Filters List?

    Hello Experts,
    Good day, I'm currently editing an old query, I am changing the Query Variables with new ones, but I found one variable that I cannot replace.
    Please see the screenshot below, in the Query Properties Window [Variable Sequence Tab (right side of picture)] the Variable that I am trying to replace (Unit) is visible. But when I look for the variable in the "Filter Tab" (left side of picture) under Characteristic Restrictions, it doesn't exist in the list.
    How can I find this Variable and replace it with a new one?
    Other reports are still using this variable so it will impact the other reports if I simply edit the variable. So I need to replace it with a new variable instead.
    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,
            SInce you are searching for a variable for Unit, look into below screenshot and navigate to the variables.
    First click on drop down and select 'Entry for variable' then you will get lisl (after you click on drop down in 'Target Unit' drop down option.
    Normally these type of variable called 'Formula Variable' try editing any of the formula and locate the option as shown below,

  • How do I create a variable that is a time?

    What I need is a variable that is a time such as 13:00 that can be used in an equation like 13:00 - 12:30 = 00:30 or 13:00 - 12:45 = 00:15 etc.
    I have no idea how to do this because if I use something like:
    var Onsite = 12:30
    var Offsite = 13:00
    I get the following message:
    Consecutive statements on a line must be separated by ;
    It is pointing to the : and that makes sense but if I use this:
    var Onsite = "12:30"
    var Offsite = "13:00"
    Then I can't use it as an equation because it is being treated as text.
    Any ideas?

    Look at the NSDate class if your using Objective-C (or Swift), it can be used to create points in time (date + time) and can determine the distance (in seconds) between to points, using the -timeIntervalSince* methods.

  • Can I have a variable that lists the name of the Book?

    Hi, I'm creating a document as an InDesign Book, ie a lot of documents in the Book Pallette. I'd like to have a variable that lists the book name. Is this possible?
    I've tried finding how to create new variables but I can't see anything. I'm guessing <$bookname> is the code but I can't figure out how to enter it as a variable in CS5.
    Thanks,

    What does this have to do with scripting? I don't believe you can create a variable that is automatically populated with the book name, but you can simply create a regular variable and synchronize it across all documents in the book.

  • Workflows: How to set a workflow variable that is the difference in hours between now and a created date

    I'm trying to create a variable that contains the number of hours between the item created date and Now.  When i use TODAY, it seems to set the time at 12:00 rather than the time now - so that throws the hours off.  Any ideas?
    ajw

    Hi ajw,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to calculate the hours between the item created date and now.
    It seems to be not an OOB way to implement your requirement, to get the current time, you need to create a custom workflow activity for SharePoint 2010 workflow. About creating custom workflow activity, you can refer to the links below:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh872790(v=office.14).aspx
    http://blogs-sharepoint-ashutoshmisra.blogspot.in/2013/02/create-custom-workflow-action-for.html
    Or, you can use a third party solution to achieve your requriement.

  • Creating class wide variable that gets re-initialized every time

    I declared a class-wide variable in my jsp document using the <%! %> tags:
    <%! boolean HasMoreRows = true %>
    I set this variable to false in one of the private jsp methods (also declared within <%! %> tags) when the program is supposed to terminate (there are no more rows left in my database result set).
    When I run the jsp document the first time after modifying it, it works fine. But if I hit the browser "back" button and then hit the "submit" button on the jsp page again to recreate the database result set, the HasMoreRows variable has the same value it had after the report ran the first time (that is, it is set to false).
    I think this has something to do with the way a servlet is created and re-used by the servlet container. I have to set the variable in a method so I cannot use a local variable (i.e. a variable declared inside <% %> tags). Does anyone know how to declare a variable that can be used anywhere inside the jsp document (including all methods) but gets reset to its initialization value every time the jsp document is run? Thanks.

    I think I figured out the solution. It is to declare the variable in the <%! %> tags but initialize it in the <% %> tags.
    <%! boolean HasMoreRows; %>
    <% HasMoreRows = true; %>

  • How can i reuse same variables that i create using c:set var="index" /

    hi all,
    please some one helpme!!!!!!
    how can i reuse same variable that i create using
    <c:set var="index" value="${0}"/>
    cause later in the program i use index to do some condition and based on that i increment ...
    so for example if i say...
    <c:if test="${index==0}">
    <c:set var="index" value="${index+1}"/>
    </c:if>
    will it be like
    if(index==0)
    index++;
    can i do like i did be4. if not what do i need to do to reuse. cause i use the variable atleast 5 time and its keep changing on diff condition level.

    Have you tried it?
    It should work, provided you are on the same page.
    The c:set tag creates the variable in pageScope by default.
    If you forward to another JSP you need to set the scope to be "request" so that it is still available.

  • Is it possible to create a variable that tells you which slides the user has visited?

    Hi there.
    I'm working on a project where I want a slide to show a continue button and hide 2 textboxes, but ONLY when the user has already visited 2 other slides. I can only find variables that tell you the slide the user previously visited.
    Is it possible to set up a variable that does this?
    I want to create the following advanced action:
    If the user has visited slides 62 AND 87, show image_536 and hide text_caption_243 and text_caption_242
    I don't want the action to happen if only 1 of the 2 slides have been visited - it has to happen when both have been visited.
    Hope that makes sense.
    I'm using Captivate 7.
    Thanks.

    You will need two variables, it can be booleans. I'll label them v_one and v_two with a default value of 0
    Since I don't know how the slides are formatted, do you use a Next button or are all the slide frames visited? You'll need to have an event on those two slides to trigger an action:
    Assign v_one with 1     on slide 62
    And a similar action on the other slide to toggle v_two (do not use the toggle command, if the user visits a slide twice, it would be toggled back to 0).
    You didn't specify where those text containers have to be (please, label your objects and slides)? But you'll need conditional advanced action triggered by another event somewhere:
       IF v_one is equal to 1   AND
           v_two is equal to 1
      Show text1
      Show text2

  • TimesTen environment variables that control TAF timeouts

    Hi
    I am some questions.
    I read the following contents in the TimesTen 7.0 manual .
    There are two TimesTen environment variables that control TAF timeouts:
    o TT_ORA_FAILOVER_TIMEOUT: TAF timeout in minutes for the user application
    (SWT cache groups, cache groups with the propagate option, and cache
    groups using the passthrough feature). The default is 5 minutes.
    o TT_ORA_FAILOVER_TIMEOUT: TAF timeout in minutes for the
    replication agent (for AWT cache groups). The default is 5 hours.
    How do I set one of these variables TT_ORA_FAILOVER_TIMEOUT , TT_ORA_FAILOVER_TIMEOUT ?
    Thank you very much.

    Hopefully you are now on a 11.2.n release or planning to be.  These settings are now part of the ttCaacheConfig callable procedure.
    Sorry I've not seen hwo they would be set in 7.0.
