Variables for proposal data

I have requirement like this in
Cust Lamp ActualCost Selliing Price Revenue No.ofSupplied Sales Revenue
Maruti xyz 100 150 50 1lakh 150 50
This data I will be getting from Co
Now Maruti gives the proposal that I will increase the qty of lamps to be supplied reduce the selling price per lamp for me
If the Actual no.of lamps to be supplied is increased from 1 lakh to 1.5 lakhs then what will be the total revenue this data is not stored in R/3 this is the proposal g iven my maruti & if the revenue is very low then our client wont be accepting this proposal ,
So In Bw they want the report in such a way that they can enter the actual no.of lamps supplied,selling price per lamp & compare this with the R/3 data
Is there any possibility for creating variables on key figures & enter the values then it will calculate the rev directly & display in the report

From you requirement i understand the following
First the PO will be created
Later it will be changed based on customer requiest
You want to capture only the changes in the new records to find whether it is feasible in the report
Instead of creating a variable , You can upload the delta data direclty and use a formula for the key figure Supplied sales revenue
Delta data : In the first load you will be having the first proposal
During delta new proposal will be loaded
Supplied sales reveue will be equal to ( Selling price revenue /Total number of lamps newly ordered )
Here the supplied sales revenue is the new revenue after the proposal
Assign points if useful

The entry column Type (Variable) on the Select Data tabpage indicates a variable time frame in which the data should be requested. The variables are not replaced by concrete values until a request is made. There are eight options:

Time selections with the help of the variables 0 to 4.
The variables 0-4 only refer to date fields of the data type DATS.
User time selection
Type 5 gives you a free selection of all fields.
If you select this variable for a field, confirm the selection, and then choose Detail for Type, an additional dialog box appears. In this dialog box you can freely limit the values of the fields and determine the next period value and the number of periods until a repetition.
Variables are placeholders for values and are not replaced by concrete values until a data request is made. You can also use a Variable for selections when requesting data for an InfoObject, if you choose type 7, confirm the selection, and then choose Detail for Type.

What are Parameters? How are they differenet from Variables? Why can't we use variables for passing data from one sequnece to another? What is the advantage of using Parameters instead of Variables?

Hi,
Using the Parameters is the correct method to pass data into and out of a sub sequence. You assign your data to be passed into or out of a Sequence when you are in the Edit Sequence Call dialog and in the Sequence Parameter list.

Cannot change variable for key date in aggregate

Hello,
when I drag time-dependant attributes into an aggregates definition I am prompted to enter a key date or choose a variable for that. I then activate and fill that aggregate. Afterwards I deactivate it and remove the time-dependant attributes so there are no time-dependant attributes in the definition any longer. I then want to also remove the variable for the key date but I can't do so. This property is greyed out and there is no context menu for the entry "Variable for key date".
The SAP Help says this should be possible by changing the key date variable through the context menu (see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7d/eb683cc5e8ca68e10000000a114084/frameset.htm).
Has anyone faced this problem, too? I do not want to redefine my aggregate as this is not an elegant solution to the problem.

My external format is stored in S_crtsp
and internal format is stored in L_crtsp. (01/21/2004 18:00:32)
I want to remove the time from the internal format and validate it aginst the external format.
Any suggestions or brief explonation is appreciated...I apprecaite the help soo far...

Variable for Document Date in Customer Receivable Aging

Hi all,
This is regarding u201CCustomer Receivable Aging u2013 Detailsu201D in SBOne.
In the print layout, I found 3 types of date in system variables i.e.
1) system variable 184 = Due Date
2) system variable 185 = Posting Date
3) system variable 187 = The is vary by u201Cage byu201D Date (either document date, posting date or due date)
Regardless the date chosen for aging, we would like to display both Invoice (Document) Date and Due Date permanently on the layout.
Does anyone know what is the system variable for invoice/document date in this layout. Thanks for help in advance.

Sorry this is no right answer. I had test it variable 65 doesn't work.
I found that the System variable 187 will be either document date, posting date or due date based on the aging date selection in Receivable Details Aging Report
Any other advise.How to check the all the variable in Receivable Detals Aging Report.

Infopackage:Determine the variables for periodic data loading

Hi,
we have an infopackage for full update and we have set in "Data selection" tab as selection , an OLAP variable.
If I do the load using the OLAP variable selection, 12 last months , I need to delete data can be duplicated. But for example, If I do mensually load , I can't delete the request has been load just before , because I delete one month that can't be deleted. I have looking for a possible solution , but I don't how I can solve this.
Please, can anybody help me?

I think your existing data flow is : Source --> Cube.
Now change this one to : Source --> ODS(load monthly last 12 months) --> Delta(Cube).
No need to delete any data selectively if you load data in overwrite mode. ODS will generate change log if any changes occur or creates new records for new records. Just push delta from this ODS to CUBE monthly.

Variable For Query Key Date

I am using time dependent master data, i want to count number of employees on particular key date for diffferent Orgunits. So i created variable in the query properties for dynamic date selection .I also have other variable - Calendar month.
If the user enters particular Calendar Day (21.03.2008), then the report should show the total number of employees for that particular day.
If the user chooses Cal Year/month then the report should show the total number of employees for that time frame (12.2007-12.2008).
When i enter Cal Year/month and execute the system not allowing to execute the report. It says Calender Day is mandatory.
How can i bypass the calenderday when i choose calyear/month.

Hi,
For this work you have to create another 2 variable.
1. Make your both user entry variables as optional.
2. Create another 2 variables processing type as user exit.
3. In the CMOD program, identify which variable contains data.
   - If the user entered month, then in the user exit of Calender day's from date should be
     first day of the month parameter and to    date should be the last date of the month parameter.
   - If the user entered date, then pass corresponding month&year value of the date to calmonth variable.
Let me know the position.

Formula variable for date in report

Hi All,
I have to display the last date value of a particular date in the report.
For a better understanding,
I have Customer, Equipment, Service date, Amount
In the report, I have to display
Customer, Equipment, Last Service date, Last Service Amount.
I have created a formula variable (Formula variable for Service date) for Service date with Replacement path.
Replace Variable with Infoobject, Replace with Key, Dimension dates.
And in Key figures, I have created a formula (Last Service date) with Last value in the Aggregation using the "Formula variable for Service date".
The Last Service date is displayed as 'X' in the report since the Service date is not in the row. I cannot have the service date in the row either (not even by hiding the display).
Kindly tell me how to rectify this problem.

The X is appearing because, with the drill downs you have added, you have more than 1 date value to choose from when you attempt to aggregate.
Have you tried using APD instead of exception aggregation?
Have you built the exception aggregation calculated key figure globally or just locally (i.e. as a structure element)? It must be built globally to work properly.

Using a variable for two different characteristic

I've to following situation:
1) While execuring a query in BEx Analyzer, the user should manually enter a specific key date KEY_DATE
2) Then, two InfoObjects should be restricted by using that KEY_DATE as follows
 a) InfoObject BEG_DATE <= KEY_DATE
 b) InfoObject END_DATE > KEY_DATE
So, in Query Designer I've created a variable KEY_DATE and added it to each of the above InfoObjects. Now, while executing the query I get an error: "Variable KEY_DATE is used for two different characteristics".
Is there another possibility to realize my requirements?

You can try the next:
1. create variable for user date (lets say Z_DATE)
2. create variable for month (not ready for input, mandatory, customer exit) lets say Z_MON
3. in [EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 |http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20f119d9-922d-2c10-88af-8c016638bd90?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]try to read i_t_var_range table with key Z_DATE
4. parse this value - take by ABAP only month from the date
5. set this value (month) = value - 1
6. assign this value to Z_MON variable.

Setup variables for BEx Query

Dear all,
I am working on a BEx query. I would like to show MTD and YTD actual & planned expenses. My questions are as follows:
(1)      how can I set up variables or variants which can look up the system date to calculate the MTD and YTD date? For example, I execute the query without input the date and I would like the query automatically look up the date for YTD (e.g. 1/1/2009 u2013 2/20/2009) and MTD (2/1/2009 u2013 2/20/2009) for actual expenses?
(2)     Since the planned data is by year and distribute 12 months equally and not by day, how can I set up variables which can look up the system date to calculate the number of the days from the beginning of the year up to today and beginning of the month update to today so I can calculate the MTD and YTD planned expenses based on the annual budget.

Since my variable for planned data is not date variable anymore, it is a factor = current date / number of days in current month and I used this to multiple by the planned monthly data. If I used entire month and the plan data will be overvalue, I can't compare to the MTD actual data since actual date is updated by day. How can I create a variable for this and use it to caluclate in the BEx Query?
I believe the function will work but I don't know much about ABAP. I try to search sample code for the function. here is what I get but I don't think it is going to work. Can you point out what is missing? I believe I need to put it under 'ZXRSAU01'

Looking for Calendar functionality for a Date Variable

Hi Experts,
Currently iam creating a WEBI Report where the source system is SAP BI System. I have a BEx Query with some characteristics at the row level and keyfigures at the column level. I have a Date Interval Variable (Based on 0DATE and optional), where the user will input the From and To date to execute the query. I have created the universe on top of this query, but date inteval variable appears as a character in the form of LOV. When i use this universe and buid the report in WEBI, the User Prompt for date is appearing as List of date values for this date interval variable, where as my requirement is to have date calendar for this date interval variable.
I did some r&d on top of this, when the date varibale as single value and optional, iam able to get the date calendar, but when i use the Date interval Varibale it takes as a character. I searched the forum, but i didn't find any solution.
Is it possible to have a date calendar for a date interval variable in BEx?? or its is only for single value date varibale.

you stated it correctly that the calendar shows up in case of a keydate and in case of a single value but not in case of a range.
in addition the underlying characteristic needs to be type DATS

How do I create an automator variable for a path that includes a date?

I like to use Image Capture to scan documents into a hierarchy of folders under my ~/Documents directory that are organized by year and document type. For example, I have
~/Documents/archives/2011
 /Misc
 /Utilities
and
~/Documents/archives/2012
 /Misc
 /Utilities
for archiving miscellaneous docs and utilities bills. Now, switching folders in Image Capture is annoying so I want to use the Automator support built into that app to direct the scanned images to ~/Documents/archives/<Current Year>/Misc or ~/Documents/archives/<Current Year>/Utilities. I was able to do this with separate Automator workflows, each with a hard-coded path to the destination folder. For example,

However, when I try to create a new path variable it only lets me choose a full path to a Finder folder. How do I combine Documents and Current Year variables with the "archives" and "Misc" folder names to create a new path variable?

Well now, you went and made me learn something today. In the Variables Library, under Utilities, is a variable named AppleScript. You can put a small script into this that evaluates to your path, for example:
((((path to documents folder) as text) & "archives:" & (year of (current date)) as text) & ":Utilities") as alias
If the script evaluates to a proper path, it can be used wherever any other path can - you can experiment by looking at the results of a Get Value of Variable action.
