VARIABLES IN FORM NOT IN PROCEDURE: CHECKBOX

We have started getting intermittant errors on a page, in places that were previously OK, yet no change was made to those particular objects.
The browser displays the following:
Not Found
The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server.
Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.2.0.2 Oracle-HTTP-Server Server at <host> Port 7778
The Apache error log shows the following:
mod_plsql: /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept HTTP-404
wwv_flow.accept: SIGNATURE (parameter names) MISMATCH
VARIABLES IN FORM NOT IN PROCEDURE: CHECKBOX
NON-DEFAULT VARIABLES IN PROCEDURE NOT IN FORM:
Application Express version: 3.2.0.00.27
RDBMS version: 10.2.0.4
Just wondering if we have reached some sort of resource limit here, and if so, is there a solution that doesn't involve deleting page objects?
Further info: For troubleshooting, the entire application was exported from production and imported into the other 2 environments.
Results: Production - OK
UAT - OK
Development - errors as above
The code and db structures between these environments are identical - even the data is the same having refreshed the schemas from prod also.

I was given this exception when trying to submit a form with radiobuttons, and no default cheked.
It's intermittent behaviour was explained because of the nature of the code. It printed the input depending on some clients atributes, so that in some cases it would only print input without the 'cheked' property.
Some workflow wouldn't print any radiobutton wirh the 'cheked' value, giving the user the posibility of not sending data on the parameter:
<input type="radio" name="boletin" value="S" checked>
Hope it helps!

    Hi,
    I have the following scenario:
    A Swing-Application is using JClient to bind to bc4j. The JUStatusBar works fine for the forms which have an iterator. But if I show a form with a JTree, e.g., I don't want the message "3 out of 4000 rows" to be displayed in the status bar... because it is a tree...You can install a custom StatusBar and override displayStatus() methods to ignore iterBinding that's bound to JTree.
    something like:
    JUStatusBar statusBar = new JUStatusBar(..)
    public void displayStatus(JUIteratorBinding bind, String msg, Object[] params)
    if bind == treebind or an iterator that's displayed in the tree then return
    else call super.
    I thought, the status bar should implement this behaviour, it displays a "iterator released" message, but the label from the form before the JTree-form was coming up isn't cleaned up.
    Any suggestion for me what to do?
    Torsten.

  • Procedure not showing up when I create 'Form on a procedure'

    I'm building an application based on an Oracle guide for 'Adventure Travel', the guide says to create this procedure:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE
    add_country_for_activity(p_activity_num AT_COUNTRY_ACTIVITIES.activity_num%TYPE,p_country_id AT_COUNTRY_ACTIVITIES.country_id%TYPE)
    IS
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO AT_COUNTRY_ACTIVITIES (country_id,activity_num) VALUES (p_country_id,p_activity_num);
    END;
    I've added that procedure and I can see it in the object browser, but when I try to create a new 'form on a procedure', the procedure doesn't show up. Also, when I look at the procedure in the object browser, under 'errors' it says "Line: 6     Position: 3     PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "end-of-file" when expecting one of the following: ; current delete exists prior "
    Although I am assured that the code has the correct syntax, I've also tried adding the / character after END; but to no avail. Any help would be most appreciated

    How do I check dba_objects and user_objects? Sorry I'm pretty new to this. I created the AT_ACTIVITIES table, and I am the one using the application in my own schema. I tried using
    GRANT EXECUTE ON add_country_for_activity to apex_public_user;
    but I'm still having the same problem

  • Referencing Global Variable in Forms DDL (Form Personalization R12)

    Team,
    I'm saving a profile option in a Global variable GLOBAL.FLINV_PROFILE_VALUE when a form opens.
    Then I am clearing the variable using Forms DDL and calling FND_PROFILE.SAVE function.
    I need to then reset the profile option with a second call to FND_PROFILE.SAVE. I'm trying to use Forms DDL, i.e.
    DECLARE
    a BOOLEAN;
    BEGIN
    a := fnd_profile.SAVE ('PER_SECURITY_PROFILE_ID'
    , '''||:global.flinv_profile_value||'''
    , ''USER''
    , ''1110''
    , NULL
    , NULL
    END;
    but I'm not finding a proper way to pass that global variable. Is there a way to reference these variables in the DDL? Should I use 'Call a procedure' and format the call differently?
    Any ideas are welcome.

    Not sure why your using an anonymous block. Personalization rules should look like the following in a *.ldt file.

  • Is there a way to delete one of several checkboxes from a pdf form without the leftover checkboxes automatically renumbering themselves?

    Is there a way to delete one of several checkboxes from a pdf form without the leftover checkboxes automatically renumbering themselves?
    I used LiveCycle Designer to make a pdf form with many checkboxes. When I deleted a few of the checkboxes the rest left on the form renumbered themselves. This made my JavaScript out of sync since the JavaScript checkbox numbers did NOT update automatically. I am hoping there is a preference option to not auto update. I just cannot find it,

    I believe you're using the same name for each checkbox, right?!
    If so, each checkbox has an index number which represents its position relative to the other copies in the XML tree and when you add, delete or reorder the copies the index will always be recreated because thats the way how XML works.
    There is no way to stop Designer from doing this, I'm afraid.
    To address individual objects through JavaScript you should use unique names.

  • How to create a global variable in forms 6i

    How to create a global variable in forms 6i

    :GLOBAL.my_var := 15; Well, this statement is not correct! Global variables
    stores a character string of up to 255 characters in
    length. Thus, valid statement for Khurram example
    is:
    :GLOBAL.my_var := TO_CHAR(15);
    or
    :GLOBAL.my_var := '15';
    But numeric values are implicitly converted by oracle so there's nothing in fact wrong with the statement...
    :GLOBAL.my_var := 15;

  • [AIR 3.0] New JSON functionality doesn't work in FlashPro: Error #1065: Variable JSON is not defined

    After upgrading the AIR SDK to 3.0 in Flash Professional CS5.5 I've found some problems.
    First, the JSON class in the as3corelib.swc library now throws a couple of compile errors:
    1061: Call to a possibly undefined method decode through a reference with static type Class.
    1172: Definition com.adobe.serialization.json:JSON could not be found.
    At first I was completely puzzled, since I had the proper "import com.adobe.serialization.json.JSON;" reference,
    and I had the "as3corelib.swc" referenced in my ActionScript Properties, so how could that not be found?
    Then, I found out that's because it conflicts with the new internal JSON class included with AIR 3.0
    (maybe it should have been called something else, to avoid conflicts with Adobe's own as3corelib library).
    The new native JSON class doesn't have the decode() method. Now it's called parse()
    Ok, so I've tried using the new JSON class, but after changing decode() with parse() and removing
    the "import com.adobe.serialization.json.JSON;" reference, Flash tells me that "Variable JSON is not defined".
    Really? The JSON class is showing in the Flash Builder code completion popup,
    complete with its all-new parse() and stringify() methods! So why does it say it's not defined?
    Also, my SWF file gets compiled with no errors at all, so that verifies that the new 3.0 libraries are in place.
    I only get the "JSON is not defined" error at runtime in ADL, not at compile time. Why?
    In order to upgrade to the AIR 3.0 SDK, I've followed this guide:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/908/cpsid_90810.html
    I know that's about upgrading to AIR 2.7, but I suppose the steps to upgrade to AIR 3.0 would be very similar,
    only with the AIR3.0 SDK package, instead of 2.7.
    I also took care to type version="13" in all the XMLs, instead of version="12" as stated in that guide, which is meant for 2.7.
    Also, I followed this advice about adding -swf-version=13 in the Project Properties window in Flash Builder:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/cantrell/archives/2011/08/how-to-use-the-air-3-beta-sdk.html
    But that doesn't seem to make a difference, since, even though I use Flash Builder for code editing (which is usually used for Flex),
    my project is a Flash Professional project, not a Flex one, and when testing the project, Flash Builder runs Flash Professional
    to compile and then runs adl.exe (it's the same as if you click the option "Control / Test movie / in AIR Debug Launcher (Mobile)" inside Flash Pro).
    In the "ActionScript Settings" window in Flash Professional, I also have the proper airglobal.swc referenced (from the AIR 3.0 SDK),
    and the same airglobal.swc is referenced in Flash Builder as well (in "Referenced Libraries"), to get proper code completion.
    I've tried all sorts of things to try to get it to work, but no luck. Still get the "JSON is not defined" error at runtime.
    I'm starting to get desperate about this. I'm going to have to revert back to AIR 2.7.1, to stop wasting time on this issue.
    BTW, I'm also having another unrelated problem (though maybe it happens because of the same reason as the other problem).
    Now Flash Builder underlines the getTime() method in my code, as if it no longer were a method of a Date class instance.
    I have a line where I ask for the timestamp like this:
    ts = new Date().getTime();
    That has worked perfectly fine up until now with AIR 3.0.
    Now, when hovering the mouse cursor over the orange "(?)" icon that appears at the left, Flash Builder tells me
    "Access of undefined property getTime". Why?
    The AS3 documentation doesn't say anything about getTime() getting deprecated of anything of the sort:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/Date.html
    In fact, in the code completion popup that Flash Builder shows, now there isn't any mention
    of get or set methods, as you can see here:
    I suppose I can use the .time property instead of .getTime() but I don't know why I'm not getting all the methods I had available before.
    Any ideas why all this is happenning? Specially the dreaded "JSON is not defined" error.

    Well, after much tinkering, I think I've finally found a way to finally make it work!.
    I've created some modified XML files with the profiles needed for AIR 3.0 and after a lot of tries, it finally works!
    I've uploaded them here: http://www.mediafire.com/?d5e761frl5px4
    These are the steps needed to get AIR 3.0 running properly:
    Put all three files into the folder "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\Common\Configuration\Players"
    Then, make sure you've unzipped the AIR 3.0 SDK into the folder "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\AIR3.0" Do not overwrite the contents of the "AIR2.6" folder, as suggested by the "Overlay AIR SDK" article (linked in the above post). It gave me problems. It's best to use a different separate folder. My XML files point to that new "AIR3.0" folder.
    Inside the folder "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\Common\Configuration\ActionScript 3.0" create a new folder named "AIR3.0". Inside that folder, copy the file "airglobal.swc" located at "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\AIR3.0\frameworks\libs\air".
    Finally, you will have to keep the file "descriptor-sample.xml" in the "c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\AIR2.6\samples" folder, but change the xmlns attribute to "http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/3.0"
    Yes, you have to change that inside the AIR2.6 folder even if the SDK has been put into AIR3.0. That's because of how the publish settings work in Adobe Flash. It's hardcoded into a DLL, so that can't be changed. Not very intuitive.
    I think AIR SDK installations should be a lot more straightforward than this! I know Adobe AIR is meant for developers, not for final users, but still, all these not very well documented upgrade procedures are a pain in the ***. I've wasted A LOT of hours in this (more than half a day), with what should have been a straightforward upgrade!
    Adobe should make a SDK installer so we do not have to be tinkering with all these error-prone procedures each time a new update is released!
    Well, I hope those XML files are useful to somebody and avoids further frustration.
    Regards,
    OMA2k
    PD: BTW, I still have the .getTime() issue described in my above post, but it's not very important,
    since I can still use the .time property. Still, it puzzles me why this is happening.

  • Undefined VARIABLE in FORM

    Dear All,
    Another post with a classic "undefined <VARIABLE> in
    FORM" error message I'm afraid. I don't think this is the usual
    problem of scoping however or form not submitting the data.
    Basically I've checked and triple checked the file with the
    <cfform> tag in it and it definately contains the relevant
    controls with the names correct. I've also put <cfdump
    var="#Form#"><cfabort> tags at the top of each file to
    ensure the information is getting through. Looking at the Form
    structure I can see the variables that are being posted (all of
    which have the values passed from the file with the form tag).
    However, despite this, when I remove the <cfabort> tag to let
    the website process then the error message returns. I can't think
    of what else might be causing this. Any ideas?

    I think that the above statement says it all. I

    Even if it is long, you might consider posting it if, for no

    from failing... very strange, but heck, you never know sometimes

  • How can I obtain an object-type variable in Forms 6i?

    i create an object-type in oracle 8i database like this:
    TYPE OBJ_TYPE_NUMBER AS OBJECT
    FIELD1 NUMBER,
    MEMBER PROCEDURE INIT, ...
    i create a variable of this object-type in a stored procedure in Oracle 8i:
    v_Number OBJ_TYPE_NUMBER(10);
    and then call it's method:
    v_Number.INIT;
    it work's!
    But when I try to compile a previous variable declaration
    (v_Number OBJ_TYPE_NUMBER;) in Oracle Forms 6i I see only an error message.
    So my question is How can I declare and use an object-type variable in Forms 6i?

    Hi,
    the release after Forms 6i is Forms9i. Forms9i does have the PLSQL engine of Oracle 9.0.0.2 database which means that it should knwo how to handle object types in PLSQL.

  • Question about using constant variables in Forms

    As I am still very new to Forms, please forgive my ignorance if the answer to my question is very simple. I am trying to figure out how to use constant variables within my Forms application. For example, if I want to setup return code constants for the application (mind me, these are examples):
    RC_SUCCESS CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 1;
    RC_FAILURE CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 0;
    RC_YEAR_DATA_NOT_FOUND := 50;
    Then in a module I created, if I wanted to check the return code against one of the constants I would do:
    DECLARE
    rc PLS_INTEGER;
    BEGIN
    GET_YEAR_DATA('2000', rc);
    IF rc = RC_YEAR_DATA_NOT_FOUND THEN
    -- Do some error handling
    END IF;
    END;
    I know that you can declare constants within individual procedures or packages but I can't see to find information on how to do this globally for the application. I've read about using global variables within Forms but the CHAR data type only and the fact the value can be changed doesn't really fit for this purpose. Am I missing something? Is there a config file or something for the webserver that can be used to set these up??
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    To declare constants create a Package-Specification in a pll and deifne all your constants there, something like:
    PACKAGE PK_CONSTANTS IS
      RC_SUCCESS CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 1;
      RC_FAILURE CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 0;
      RC_YEAR_DATA_NOT_FOUND := 50;
    END;Then attach that pll to all your forms-modules, and use it like
    IF rc = PK_CONSTANTS.RC_YEAR_DATA_NOT_FOUND THEN
    END IF;A word about exceptions or errors: In my eyes its clearer (and in case of exceptions even better) to raise an exception than to hide it behind return-codes.

    You have this:

    which should be
      <input name="recipient" type="hidden" id="recipient" value="[email protected]" />
    ...but I don't know if current gdform.php processor uses the recipient field, or some other mechanism. Try fixing the typo and if it still doesn't work you need to contact GD for support.

  • Add Translation of INteractive form in Guided Procedures

    Hi.
    I have created an interactive Form with Adobe Lifecycle Designer. I use the Form in Guided Procedures. You can add translation files of the form there. But what is a Translation file and how can i produce it?
    Thanks a lot. Regards,
    Dominik

    I found this in the SAP documenation hope this will hel you a bit.
    If you would like to translate ABAP dictionary objects i know the translation will be automaticly done by the System. This will work due to the system variable SY-LANGU.
    kind regards
    Fabian

  • Security for Offline Interactive Form in Guided Procedure

    Hi,
    I have a senario that require a form to be able to downloaded as an offline form from Guided Procedure with security mechanism. I know that Adobe interactive form able to contain scripting like FormCalc and Javascript.
    I was thinking whether is it possible to get the initiator & approver information like User ID and Password and assign it to the variable in the form using javascript, so that only the authorise personnel able to login to the form whereas the unauthorise personnel who have the form but unable to login and edit the form. Please advice. Thanks
    Best Regards,
    Rayden

    Hi,
    I also have a similar issue where i have to validate whether the user submitting the offline form is an user who has authorisation ( a table storing user credentails) .
    Were you able to solve this issue of security in offline form.
    Appreciate if you can throw some light.
    Regards

  • Pass Value by Form Based on Procedure in Target Frame

    I made a form based on procedure and trying to pass all variables to a target frame called "dest2". I got the sample code on this forum and used window.location, but then I figured it can't pass values to another frame. I tried window.open, but can't seem to figure out how to code it.
    Basically on the page, it has the portal form using stored procedure, and a IFRAME named "dest2".
    The detail my stored procedure is:
    ====================
    Create or Replace Procedure WM.TEST
    p_from_date IN VARCHAR2,
    p_to_date IN VARCHAR2,
    p_desformat IN VARCHAR2,
    as
    begin
    htp.p('<script>');
    htp.p('window.location="http://domain/portal/page?_pageid=1063,801014&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL&p_from_date='||p_from_date||'&p_to_date='||p_to_date||'&p_p_desformat='||p_desformat||'"');
    htp.p('</script>');
    end;
    ===============
    Does anybody know how to modify this procedure to pass value to target frame = "dest2" ?
    Thanks,
    Sal

    Hi,
    For documentation purpose, you can read Oracle9iAS Portal Bible -
    they have a complete chapter on creating forms based on stored
    procedure.
    Hope this helps.

  • Concatentating of variables issue - Getting Not a variable debugging.

    I'm building a insert statement based on a view I have by building
    while stepping thru a bulk collect. I'm Concatentating my 4 varibles to
    create a final sql statment that I want to use for Execute Immediate.
    However when Concatentating the four variables the last variables for some
    strang reason null out the variable.
    While debugging I see all 4 variables populated ok, I played with changing the
    variables lengths to see if that was the issue but I still have the issue.
    Any idea why I would get "not a variable" when Concatentating the final variable?
    Below is the Procedure with 2 lines showing the partial one that works and the

    This could be an artifact of whatever front end program you're using to debug.
    If I were you, I'd try adding debug statements (via your custom debug log package if you have one or via dbms_output.put_line if you haven't - not forgetting to set serveroutput on first *{;-) ) to record what each value was. That should help you to pinpoint what the issue might be.
