VC Report design - Data from 2 backend systems

Hi,
I have a report to develop at below.
Material Inventory (Backend 1) Inventory (Backend 2)
XYZ 10 12
ABC 100 103
and so on.
I get the following from 1st backend system
Material and Inventory (Backend 1)
I get the following from 1st backend system
Material and Inventory (Backend 2)
Master data from both systems are syncronised that means that the material numbers will be the same.
I am using VC to extract data from these systems, I have managed to get the data into 2 table views and now need to join them together into 1 view as shown above.
The combie operator does not work as it shows the data as below
XYZ 10
XYZ 12
ABC 100
ABC 103
Please suggest options.
Regards,
Deepak

so to understand logic clearly---
Q1- if i have 2 cubes- cube1 with flat file data and cube2 with sap data
and if i build Multiprovider on top of it - the data will be like below ?
Order No....level....date....quantity...price....dist.channel....country.
131.............1..........1.1.10.......4........##.......11..............US
131.............1..........##...........##.........100.......11.............##
131.............2..........2.1.10.......5.........0........11..............US

231.............2..........2.1.10.......5.........##........11..............Uk
231.............3..........2.1.10.......1........0.........11..............Uk
and to bring the clear data i have to MANUALLY seperate logic of CONSTANT SELECTION in all queries in future ??
Q2- if i have 1 dso with Order no. and Line item  & Distribution channel as key, and two transfer rules , 1 with flat file and 1 with sap
the data in cube will be like below ??

  • Migrate Closed Sales Data from one SAP system to Other

    Hi,
We have a requirement to migrate Closed Sales Order data from one SAP System to the New SAP system.
Please share your thoughts on the considerations / DOs and Donts for such cases.
    Appreciate your response.
    Kind Regards,
    Tanuji

    Hi,
If you want to migrate closed SOs..then first consider why? and from what date i.e how long back?
    Following are the considerations:
    1) You can't get the creation date same as your previous system dates--this might lead to incorrect reporting. So you'll have to check if its really worth?
    2) You might want to have a reference no somewhere in the new transactions from the previous system.
    3) If you want to migrate the deliveries, invoices then you've to consider also GL migration as well as payments.

  • Loading of transaction data from SAP ECC system failed

    Hi!
I successfully connected SAP ECC system to SAP BI system.

    - user ALEREMOTE with max. authorization
    - RFC destination
    - Distributing Data model

    Hi!
    Many thanks for your answer.
Via BD87 on BW system I detect that all the IDOC's (type: RSRQST) will be received from SAP ECC system.
Via tcode SM58 I could not detect any entries.
However the loading status from yesterday is set to "red".
    The errors are:

  • Extract data from Retai & AFS system

    Hi , Guys,
If there are SAP Retail & AFS system with different master data and transactional data , how can I extract master data and transactional data from these two system into SAP BW?
For example , if i want to extract the stock management data , how do I create the two Souce system in BW, both as SAP souce system or not?
    Thanks !

    Hi Yong,
    1. Should I create both systems as SAP source system or not?
Yes, both should be created as SAP source systems.
    2. If I want to extract the master data of 0MATERIAL , should I do the extraction job from the two source system with "0LOGSYS" ?
You have to understand the business process of how material master data flows across these two systems with the help of the functional team.
In our scenario, we have not used '0LOGSYS', because the same material code coming from both the systems were one and the same.
    3. If I want to extract the transactional data of stock movement data from both systems, which infocube in BI content can I use?
I suggest you implement standard business content ( 0IC_C03, I guess ) and utilize that for one source system ( Say AFS). Copy this cube into Z cube called ZIC_C03 and connect the retail data sources to this cube. If you want to combine stock reporting from both the systems, you can create a multiprovider on top of this.
    Thanks,
    Krishnan

  • PO confirmation from Customer Backend System

    Dear experts,
I'm implementing SMI scenario with SAP SNC 5.1. I was traying to send a PO confirmation from Custoemr Backend system (ECC) to SNC.
    The process is this:
    1) Supplier creates and publish a Replenishment Order in SNC
    2) SNC sends to Custoemr backend system (ECC) the message VendorGeneratedOrderNotification.XML that is converted by SAP PI in to ORDERSP.ORDERS05 message.
    3) Customer backend system (ECC) receives this message and creates the PO.
    4) Customer backend system sends a message to SNC to confirm the PO creation.
My question is about point 4, for this communication I'm using VendorGeneratedOrderConfirmation.XML (as described here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm2007/helpdata/en/46/77adcbf9cf0ad3e10000000a11466f/content.htm ), the IDOC I'm using is ORDRSP.ORDERS05 but I have a problem with mapping because there are some data missing.
Is this combination ( ORDRSP.ORDERS05 > VendorGeneratedOrderConfirmation.XML ) correct for this type of communication?
If not what kind of message should I use to send a PO confirmation from Customer backend system to SNC?
Thank you in advance for your support.

    Hi Team,
RO confirmation in SNC should be done with ReplenishmentOrderConfirmation_In as this is done by customer.
If you see in help link
    VendorGeneratedOrderConfirmation
The customer back-end system sends a purchase order confirmation to SAP SNC. This is used, for example, when SAP SNC awaits purchase order number assignment from the customer back-end system.
VendorGeneratedOrderConfirmation is used when SNC needs purchase order number assignment.

  • Getting Customer data from Different R3 system to CRM

    Hi Gurus,
I need to get Customer data from different R3 systems to CRM. But the problem is, the customer datas in these R3 systems have the same BP number, and the SD datas were defined same  in these R3 systems. Thus, when ı try to fetch these SD datas to CRM, it overwrites the existing datas.
    I have read different scenarios to solve this;
    1.  About Using Mapping.
    2.  About Working on different Clients.
Do you have any solution or suggestion? Need your Help...

  • Set up for Extraction the data from SAP ECC system

    Hi!
I would like to analyze the transaction and master data from SAP ECC system into SAP BI system.
I have created the connection (entry for SAP ECC system) within SAP NetWeaver System.
Unfortunately when I try to load the transaction data for Info source the process does not end successfully.
There are no information within SM58 on source system.
The ST22 does not contain some suitable information.
    Question:
Which settings do I miss and how can solve my problem?
    (user authorization, etc.)
    Thank you very much!
    regards
    Holger

    Hi!
    many thanks for your reply.
    The error I get:
Errors while sending packages from OLTP to BI
    Diagnosis
No IDocs could be sent to BI using RFC.
    System Response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of BI.
    Further analysis:
    Check the TRFC log.
You can access this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".
    Error handling:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is fully connected to BI. In particular, check the authorizations of the background user in the source
Can you please help me to identify the error?
    Thank you!

  • Vendor Master Replication from 2 Backend System

    Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem in replicating the vendor masters from two Different Logical ECC systems.
The vendor master at 1st Backend system
    Vendor Master: 0011000196
    Company Code: C001
    Pur.Organization: P001
The vendor Master at 2nd Backend system
    Vendor Master: 0011000196
    Company Code: 1000
    Pur.Organization: 1000
In BBPGETVD, the vendor from 1st backend system is replicated successfully and available in VENMAP table. Again, I entered the same vendor code and change the 2nd Backend destination in BBPGETVD and clicked on start transfer , In SLG1 i could find the error as below
"Error: The Vendor Number Exists as a Partner Number Vendor: 0011000196”.
In VENMAP table for the above vendor there is only one entry for the 1st logical system alone.
    Kindly suggest.
    Thanks& Regards,
    Ramprakash N

If it is the same vendor - it must have the same address in both backends.
After that you should be able to start BBPGETVD with following checkbox activated.
Then VENMAP should be extended automatically.
    Regards
    Konstantin

  • Want to transfer data from 2 source systems

    hi everybody ,
i want to transfer data from 2 source systems into a info cube, how can we do that and  i dont want to transfer duplicate data from two source systems. like i have 1,2,3,4 records in one source system and 1,5,6,7 records in the other system.i want to transfer 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 in to the cube. can u help me to solve this problem?

    Hi
The solution given by Paolo will not work 100% correct.
Even if you create ODS and with record number as key of  ODS the data in ODS will be record no 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
But data of record 1 will be overwritten (first it will hold data from 1st source system and then from 2nd source system) since record number is key. Also you can not differentiate the values of data that means which data is coming from which system.
For this you need to use compouding of infoobjects. In this expample, record number should be compounded with Source system ID infoobject-0soursystem. Then your ODS will contain source system ID along with record number as keys and record 1 will not be overwritten.
Have a look at SDN threads on compounding-

  • Querying Data from 3rd Party System

We would like to query data from a 3rd party (non-SAP) system.  Our BW is an MSSQL DB and the 3rd party is also an MSSQL DB.  We do not want to physically load the data from the external system we just want to use the BW query tools to display the data.
Is this possible?  I thought this is what a Remote Cube would be used for but SAP's instructions on Remote Cubes are vague and confusing.
           1.      In BW, create a source system for the external system that you want to use.
           2.      Define the required InfoObjects.
           3.      Load the master data:
    ·        Create a master data InfoSource for each characteristic
    ·        Load texts and attributes
           4.      Define the RemoteCube
           5.      Define the queries based on the RemoteCube

    Hi Jon,
SAP RemoteCube is an InfoProvider. This is a special RemoteCube that allows
you to define queries with direct access to transaction data in other SAP systems. SAP RemoteCubes are defined on the basis of an InfoSource with flexible updating, and assume the characteristics and key figures of the InfoSource.
    Use/Data Flow
Unlike with other RemoteCubes, it is not necessary to program extractors. The
same extractors are used to select data in the source system that are also used when replicating data into the BW. When executing a query, each navigation step sends a request to the extractors for the assigned source systems. In addition, characteristics selection and selection criteria for these characteristics are transformed to fields in the transfer structure, in accordance with the transfer rules. They are transferred to the  extractor in this form. The delivered datasets run through the transfer rules in BW and are filtered once again in the query.
In your case Remote cube can be an option .
    Cheers

  • Accessing data from other SAP system

    Hi experts
I need to access data from one SAP system from other.  My requirement is , perform applications (programs) in some SAP system, but using/accessing  data from other SAP system .
For example, when we press F4 we get the match code (search help) for the field ;  that window is alredy created by SAP and it shows the data for that field . Of course the application (ike any other program/application) read the data from the SAP system is being executing ;  well i need execute that match code but show (taking) the data from other SAP system;  i not refer to other MANDT in same system but other SAP system.
The communication between SAP1 system and SAP2 system is already created from BASIS.
My doubt is how can i  execute that standard application (search help) but 'invoke' to standard application this take data from other system ?
    I guess i can create Z search help wich call a Z Function (RFC) to get the data required from the other system ;
or maybe enhance the standar search help to call that Z RFC ;  but standard application search help is already created and this access the data in several ways or places of code , and this has severals sub-windows and search features ; and i just need execute exactly same search help but accesing data from the other SAP system ; so my doubt is, is there some way to indicate to SAP the applications always (wherever) these applications acces the data do it but from other SAP system,
like if we 'redirect' the Data Base to other SAP system.
SAP1 applications are being executing  -
    >   but all data (records) are taking from SAP2
Maybe the first suggestion is simply why do not we execute applications in SAP2 instead SAP1 , that's because the version package in SAP2 system (where we have the data) does not support some (non SAP) applications we need to use.
Excuse the long thread.  Does somebody can help, any idea ?
    Best Regards
    Frank

    Hi Frank,
Below are my thoughts, these are only conceptual and haven't had an opportunity to try these possibilities, also not sure if this is the right thing.
    1) Create an entry in DBCON using TCode: DBCO for the Database of system SAP2. Now in the application of SAP1 use the "SET CONNECTION" construct as the very first statement, so that consecutive SQL statements will point at the DB of SAP2.
    2) I have read somewhere that the Work Processes are connected to the Default database and i am not sure if you can change this setting, but if you can and provided you have have multiple application servers in your SAP1 landscape, then pick one of the application servers and change the settings on the WP to point at the DB of SAP2, you have the end users login to this particualr app server.
    3) If there are multiple app servers in SAP1 landscape, then choose one of the app servers and change the default database setting to point at DB of SAP2.

  • Migrate PY and TM cluster data from One SAP System to another

    Hi Experts,
Could you please suggest me some options to migrate PY and TM cluster data from One SAP System to another? My requirement is to move all the cluster data (Active and Inactive ees).
I see that PU12 is an option. Anybody used that to migrate between SAP systems. Please provide some details
    Points guaranteed
I see that using PU12 you can export only PCL2 Clutsers. Are there any ways to move the other clusters like PCL4 ?

    Hi,
As far as data transfer, If have all normal configuration settings in your targeted system you can use LSMW (Use T.code AS91 in LSMW for recording)  to transfer your data in your both cases.
Hope it resolves your both the issues.

  • Facilitate distribution of config data in the backend system

    Hi
We are in the process of upgrading our backend systems to version 7.02. During test with PI we find that we now have to provide Logon Data towards the backend systems for our Business System comm. component in PI.
Saphelp [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/cfd1d49bf23e49e10000000a421937/content.htm] says: Use a service user with composite role SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER_MAIN.
Problem is that our role-team does not find this particular role in the backend system.
What is the experience with this? Is it possible to use another user (e.g. system user)? Is it mandatory to provide "Configuration URL" in the SLD for this?
    Thank you
    regards Ole

We need a separate web server and database server. All the content must be in the database. It looks like RoboHelp Server might not be the right architecture.
