Version management in SAP Script

Hi All,
Is it possible to revert the script to previous version by using version management like reports.
Thanks and Regards
Parthi.

Hi Partha,
There is not version management in SAPScript.
You need to take a copy of the Script using the program RSTXSCRP.
Also you can upload script from this downloaded file.

Vivek

  • Version Management on SAP Script Forms

    Hello,
        Is there a version management for SAP Script forms
    like what we have in ABAP programs?
    I need to revert back the old version of my SAP scrip form like what I used to do in an ordinary ABAP program.
    Is this possible?
    Need your views on this.
    Thank you very much,
    Jeffrey A. Prado

    Hello Jeffrey,
    as far as I know there are just two versions stored in the system, the active one and the one you work on. As long as you do not activate your work, you should be able to track your changes. The other way (which I use) is to save the original version with another name and simply load it back when needed. Since we are working with an old Release I do not how it looks in the "new world".

  • NO Version Management in SAP BPC-is it in SAP BPC7.0 NW AND/OR SAP BPC70 MS

    All,
       As far as I know SAP BPC doest not have versions management. How you guys out there handle version management for SAP BPC. Do we have VM on SAP BPC 7.0 NW?
    Why  there is no VM in BPC.  Come on convince me : - )
    Thanks,
    SK

    Guys,
    What is the verdict on Version Management being there in BPC? Can you (Saquib or others) give an example as to what Version Management functionality you might be looking for?
    From the little I know, when you are doing software development through lifecycle (in SAP it would be called Transport strategy) management, you promote different changes in the target system and hence SAP has an implicit version management. I am assuming that BPC 7.0 NW version would have that automatically since it is promoted through transport strategy only. Are you referring to the same thing as version management or is it something else? But I also read somewhere that only appset is promoted through transport and not sure if each and every component is part of that.
    Please enlighten with your insighs.
    Thanks.

  • Version management for SAP Screens?

    Hi,
    I need to do version comparison  for sap screens .
    My source system is R/3 4.7 & Target system is ECC 6.0.

    For front end SAPUI5 CODE in Elipse or RIVER RDE you can use GIT which is pretty standard way of doing code management. Once you push the code to GW it is in BSP and then you dont have much control on the version management side. If there are multiple developers working on front end code then you can push to GW using ABAP Team Provider plugin in Eclipse that pushes the sapui5 code to BSP via workbench request and once 1 developer is done then he/she will submit the code. the next person then does the GET from GW into their Eclipse to get the latest version of source code. But if there are 10 changes to the sapui5 code then on front end side you should use GIT or BitBucket or MS Team Share kind of source code control tools that integrate with ECLIPSE.
    For oData Service you can do version management in ABAP stacks. you can have multiple versions for your service and then deploy to prod the one that you are sure of. Std change management can be used for backend GW service development.
    thanks

  • SAP Script version mismatch

    Hi,
    We have moved some changes for a SAP Script from development to  test system. Now we have realized that the version of the SAP Script on which we have made the changes is not the same as the version in production. My questions are:
    1) How can I synchronize the version in development and production, so that I can start doing the changes again on the same version of the SAP Scriipt as production?
    2) Is there anyway to download the production version of SAP Script and upload it to development?
    Thanks in advance.

    This is not critical for me, but the 16 step-by-step procedure is:
    1) Find the person who changed the SAPscript.
    2) Take their *** to the basis team and explain the situation to them.
    3) Publish their *** in a BSP for the development department to see on the Enterprize Portal.
    4) Make them use emergency repairs using their own ID and not DDIC.
    5) Transport the clean changes through.
    6) Deactivate DDIC's password in SU01...
    7) Remove DDIC from all batch jobs and job steps, except during upgrades.
    8) etc
    9) ...
    If you read help.sap.com before making a mess then it helps to a large extent.
    Cheers,
    Julius

    Hi,
    To display the versions of a form, choose Utilities -> Versions.
    The version list includes the following information:
    *     Version and status:
    *     New
    No active version, not available for use as yet.
    *     Active
    The current form is the active version, in effect in the System.
    *     Revised
    The current form is being changed. There are active and edit versions of the form.
    *     Translated
    The current form must be translated.
    *     Current language key
    *     Original language of the form.
    *     Description of the form.
    To display detailed information on a version of the form, put the cursor on the version and choose Form info.

  • Sap script - manage tray - Is it possible ?

    Hi expert,
    is it possible to manage the printer's tray in sap-script ?
    I mean that for a specified fome, send the print in a specific tray ...
    tks for your reply,
    bye.

    Hi Roberto,
    Sometimes you cannot get the TRY of sapscript working.
    then you have this workaround.
    Then you have the possibilty to let the base-guys define a specific printer with  with one of its tray specific assigned to that printer. So if you print to that printer it standard uses that tray.
    I hope you can understand my explanation.

    Thanks in advance

  • How to manage non-SAP objects types with SAP Netweaver ?

    I would like to know how it is possible to integrate into the SAP software configuration managment tools (NWDI CTS, CTS+...) non-SAP objects like shell scripts or SQL requests ?
    These shell scripts are, for example:
    - external host scheduler jobs
    - general scripts for start/stop application
    - parameters needed by application at the os level
    My goal should to store into a DEV SAP system these objects, in order to take benefit of SE80 version management. So, it should be possible to create transport order in SE10 and to transport these non-SAP objects in test and production system.
    Thank in advance for your answers.
    Daniel Ouin

    the standard functionality for this up until 4.72 is to call RFCs/BAPIs through a RFC binding library for the third party software, e.g. the language of your choice is PHP then you use the PHP RFC library found [here|http://saprfc.sourceforge.net/], if you have to connect from a .NET environment you might try to get the SAP .NET connector.
