Vertical writing in smartforms

Hi,
I would like to write a vertical text in smartform, is it possible? how?
Thanks.

Maybe there is a solution, but I did not try it.
In smartforms you call commands of sapscript print controls:
To rotate the window during the printing you'll need 2 print controls.
E.G.:
Print-control Y1
... Text to print vertical
Print-control Y2
... Text to print horizontal
Y1 informs the printer to print the following text vertically and Y2 informs the printer to return to horizontal printing.
You'll have to look for the specific print sequences in the documentation of your printer type.

Vertical printing in smartforms using '^FWR' command

Hi
I checked our post on SDN about the vertical printing problem but have not been able to find a suitable answer. We have been facing this problem from quite a long time now and have not been able to come to a solution. The steps i have done are as follows.
In the main window i have multiple secondary window. I have placed the window which has the vertical printing at the end of the smartform. This window(serial details) has the Serial no details to be printed vertically. Inside this window I have inserted a command Attribute name(S_LZPL_SETUP) Attribute value(u2018^FWR'). And below this command I am writing my text u201CSerial No: &gv_serial&u201D.
But still i am unable to get the vertical printing done in my smartform when i get the actual printout from the zebra printer.
Can you please let me know the solution to this.

How to print vertical lines in smartform?

Hello friends,
Is it possible to draw vertical (continuous) lines in the main-area in a smartform? The line should start from the header and end when it reaches the footer. the line should look like it divides the main window.

you may specify an x-position and a length in this way:

Printing 'material number' in vertical manner in smartforms

i am printing a smartforms where in the output i have to print a variable in the vertical format.... how can i rotate the variable to print it in the vertical manner... please do help me out.... its very urgent.....

if you want to print only 'material number' text in secondary window... make secondary window width minimal 1 ch and increase the height of window
you will get the result in Veritical. result for materi number.
if you want to print material number variable in mainwindow / seconarday window ,
Create a font using SE73 , go to System barcode - change mode
select the line "KUNAUNR Kundenauftragsnumme", dbclick. , you can see
no barcode type mentioned, like this, create new barcode sytem font and finally give the rotation % , we have 4 different %, 0, 90,180, 270, you this font in your character font/ paragraph font, you can get the result. but make sure printer should support this functionality

Vertical alignment in Smartforms.

Hi,
I am working in a smartform, where my requirement is i have to place the text both vertically and horizontally center aligned.
Now i have used to center aligned in my style. but the text is horizontally center aligned not vertically.
Please help me in this. How to display a text module vertically center aligned.

Hello,
For vertical alignment of text, you can use a trick with the line spacing.
Use the space before and space after and adjust in such a wat that the text will appear as center alignled vertically.
say for eg: you set the space before = 2 mm and space after as 2 mm, so the space before the text and after the text would be 2 mm and thus the text will appear as center alligned vertically.
But you have to also take care of line spacing while adjusting the space before and space after.

If u want to print data in vertical format, just create one style , in that create paragraph format as left justfied 0 and right justified as windowlength-1.use this paragraph format for u r text.
OR
Have to create command within a window (window would be containingtexts which you want to print vertically).Within Command on General Attributes you will have to specify appropriateprint control one which is useful for your requirement.

Or table tab -> ypu will see a box for table pattern - > click on select
pattern and there u will find many options to draw lines!!!
below your table, you will have the header line type.
double click to select it.
on the right pane, go to attributes
click on the top left button here (select option) ...
in the popup, click the display frame button
select your choice
activate your smart form. this should work

Even you can draw a window as vertical and specify its width as 0
.02.It will automaticall draw a vertical line of specified parameters.

Hi are u wondering about changing the page format from POTRAIT->LANDSCAPE in runtime environment.
Well use the following command: SLAND->Page orientation: Landscape
and SPORT->Page orientation: Portrait.
in Smartforms u can use the commands using the output control in Command Control , and in Sapscript u can do it by using the Function Module: CONTROL_FORM and use the command as the import statement.

Also there is a New tool called Adobe Flex whose integration with SAP is being discussed and worked upon in experimental stage .. the said tool has vertical text capability
but its not recommended because of lack of extensive testing with regards to Association with SAP

Simple way is to use layout format like "X_65_80" or "X_90_120"

As far as my knowledge its not possible in Smartforms.
I had the same requirement , what I had done is I have created a text in word and saved that as BMP and used that logo inside that window. But the requirement for me was that the TEXT was Static means it was not changing.

Bottom right corner resize controls trump vertical scroll button if set to appear in the bottom corner

My bottom right corner square of the Firefox window normally sits below the bottom of the vertical scroll bar and right of the horizontal scroll bar if one exists. The square is used to click and drag to resize the window's right and bottom boundaries.
At issue is when a web site places its vertical scroll down-arrow button in the bottom right corner. I cannot access the down-arrow button with my mouse to cause the page to scroll down a few lines at a time because when I point the mouse there, I get the resize controls instead. Even though the down-arrow button is plainly visible on the screen, the resize controls take charge and I cannot use the scroll control.
Two example web sites display their down-arrow control at the very bottom of the window; TIME.com and GMAIL.com. I have also viewed two PDF documents in the browser, and they too, have a vertical scroll bar all the way to the bottom, and I cannot use that down-arrow button because instead I get the northwest-southeast click-to-resize cursor instead of the mouse pointer when I attempt to use that button for scrolling.
Someone on the Google Help forum was not able to replicate that issue, showing me screenshots of his lower right corner mouse behavior. He does not have the resize control covering access to the scroll bar.
I am using the latest Firefox, I have reset Firefox, thus dumping all of my add-ons and custom settings, and have only put back AdBlock Plus and Cookie Monster. And Troubleshooter, when I asked a similar question.
I am running Windows XP, on its last days of support. This computer is not capable of running anything newer, unless I run with Linux.
Going to TIME.com, its vertical scroll is in the bottom corner and I get the resize control arrows instead of the mouse pointer when I point to the down-button. If I disable page styles in the View menu, I get a useful output that sets the end of the vertical scroll above the bottom corner. So somebody's idea of styling the page (CSS) creates this issue for me.
Going to Gmail, turning off the styles gives me a useless output of nonsense, so I must use page styling enabled.
Can someone please give me some guidance? This forum page has vertical and horizontal scroll above and left of the bottom corner square. I have access to all the parts of both scroll bars, as is the case on most well-designed pages.
My window-resize controls are in charge always of the bottom corner square even if the vertical scroll is supposed to be there.

Those layout.css prefs are about enabling some CSS feature, in this case vertical writing, so have nothing to do with scroll bars.
