</h:panelGroup>
  </h:form>
</f:view>and my faces-config is as below

  • Help with a simple Javacard application

    Hi,
    I am new to Java card. We have a project in which we basically have to verify a signature(the key for this would be generated on the card) on data and then have to sign the data with another key(also generated on the card).
    My question is:
    This looks straightforward(at least on paper) and therefore would I need to use the OPEN SC library at all? Javacard alone should be able to handle this..is it not?
    Help in this direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Help in this direction would be greatly appreciated.You will need to learn about the following javacard packages(classses):
    javacard.security.KeyBuilder;
    javacard.security.KeyPair;
    javacard.security.RSAPrivateCrtKey;
    javacard.security.RSAPublicKey;

  • Including JSF application inside iframe

    Hi,
    I have an existing website (based on PHP and HTML), where I want to include a new part that is developed with JSF,
    and currently runs on another webserver.
    I included the JSF part with:
    <iframe name="NewPart" src="http://www.myotherwebsite.com/jsp/welcome.faces" width="600" height="400"
    scrolling="auto" frameborder="0">
    some text.
    </iframe>
    This page appears fine with any simple JSF example. But as soon as I start navigating inside the JSF application to page2 (see below), I get the following exception:
    javax.servlet.ServletException: viewId:/jsp/welcome.faces - View /jsp/welcome.faces could not be restored.
    javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet.service(FacesServlet.java:249)

    <navigation-case><from-outcome>page2</from-outcome><to-view-id>/jsp/page2.jsp</to-view-id>
    </navigation-case>
    </navigation-rule>
    What am I doing wrong (I'm fairly new to JSF..)?
    best regards, Paul.

    Thanks Raymond, I think you've put me on the right track.
    I forgot to stress that if I load the (JSF based) page directly inside the browser it works OK, only when it is loaded inside an <iframe>, the navigation fails. I suspect now that there may be a conflict between the cookie stored by the main page and the inner JSF frame.

  • Error in running a simple JSF app developed in Jdeveloper over weblogic

    I have a developed a simple JSF application using Jdeveloper 11g.
    To this application i have added a webservice proxy which generates the proxy client which communicates with the peoplesoft webservice.
    when i run the standalone proxy class, it is able to connect to the webservice and get the required data.
    But as i deploy the whole JSF application (where the managed bean calls a method in the client) in Integrated weblogic server, i get an XMLStreamReaderException.
    To debug this issue i deployed the war file in apache-tomcat6.0.26 with all the reqquired libraries in the Lib folder, it actually worked , my jsf application was able to get the data from the webservice.
    This makes me think that there is some problem in the way Jdeveloper is packaging the application.I have added all the lib & jar through "libraries &classpath" setting on project properties.But i am sure there is some problem in this process.
    I just need some help in understanding how to package an application,how to make sure all lib & jar are included in the war file??
    Any help is appreciated.
    The error i get in the weblogic is

    HI
    First of all, how do you concluded that you're dealing with packaging problem?? It seems problem is in response from web service. The toolkit you have is not able to parse the soap response. Tomcat solves problem probably because of the different jars he has for web service client.
    In either way, i have personally experienced problems with JD packaging (11g). The WAR created by JD was working well in embedded WLS shipped with JD, but when deployed to production WLS 10.3.1, i got a "IO exception; premature end of file". The only solution was to create a WAR by ant.
    Here is ANT sample script for building java classes, packaging into war, deploying to WLS (for this last one, you need to reference external jar):
    <target name="build">
    <!-- compile -->
    <javac debug="true" debuglevel="${debuglevel}" source="${source_version}" target="${target_version}" destdir="${output.dir}">
    <src path="${src.location}"/>
    </javac>
    </target>
         <target name="war" depends="build">
    <delete file="${target_war_file}"/>
    <war destfile="${target_war_file}" webxml="src/WEB-INF/web.xml" manifest="/src/META-INF/MANIFEST.MF" update="true">
    <classes dir="${output.dir}"/>
    <lib dir="${build_libs.location}">
    <include name="**/*.jar"/>
    </lib>
    <!-- include important jsf files files -->
    <zipfileset dir="${path.to.conf.folder}" prefix="WEB-INF">
    <include name="adfc-config.xml"/>
    <include name="trinidad-config.xml"/>
    <include name="web.xml"/>
    <include name="weblogic.xml"/>
    </zipfileset>
    </war>
    </target>

    </classpath>
    </taskdef>

  • "Errors on page" with simple JSF page

    Hi
    I wrote a very simple JSF page as shown below. It works as is with MyFaces. Now I tried to make it work with Sun RI as well.
    Here's the problem: The page appears perfectly fine (it shows two columns of links). Only one single link works, though: the first one in the left column.
    When I click on that first link, the action handler method ("userClick") is called and executed fine.
    But when I click on any other link, the method is not called at all. All I get is an "error on page" message in the browser status bar. No log message on the command line or log file.
    Am I doing something wrong? With MyFaces it works fine.

    You'd need to put the right stuff in the url to make it work,
    just like if
    you were calling a page that's expecting GET params. I don't
    really use the
    HistoryManager, so you'll need to either look into this
    yourself or ask
    someone who knows more about it.

  • How to work with EJBs and database for a simple login application

    Hi all :)
    I am new in JSP,EJB and Servlets. I just wanted to develop a simple login application, using JSP+EJBand servlets. In some tutorial I found that the beans are already populatesd with database records. But will it be good logic to retrive all records into a bean and then search for a perticuler users data for authentication.
    Can any one tell me me what is the best logic for doing so. :(
    Thanx in advance.

  • NEWBIE: help with simple JSF question

    Hi, I'm having trouble wrapping my head around how JSF is supposed to be used for something.
    Let's say I have a list of people on the left, and I want to show the selected person in an editor on the right (so you can change the name and phone number and click 'save changes', for example).
    So I have a <h:selectOneListbox> with a <f:valueChangeListener>. Something like this:
    <h:selectOneListbox value="#{personController.selectedPerson}">
    <f:selectItems value="#{personController.listOfPersons}" />
    <f:valueChangeListener type="PersonSelectionListener" />
    </h:selectOneListbox>
    So in Java I have 2 objects.
    1. PersonController which maintains the list of persons and the selected person and is identified as a session bean in the faces-config.xml
    2. PersonSelectionListener which listens for selection changes and does something with the selection, let's say it writes the selected person's name to a log file just for sake of example.
    My question is, when the PersonSelectionListener detects that a selection change has occurred, how should I get the selected person from the person controller so I can, say, write the name to a log file?
    (Note: I'm pretty sure I can make the PersonController and the PersonSelectionListener the same object and just reference the selectedPerson member variable -- but I'm trying to wrap my head around how objects are supposed to interact in a JSF application, so let's assume they have have to be separate objects.)
    Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Normally I would tell you to inject the PersonController bean into the PersonSelectionListener bean as a managed property. Then drill into the bean to get the data you need.
    However, in this case you are dealing with a value change listener. Value change events are fired at the end of the Process Validations phase, before the Update Model Values phase. So in this case, the PersonController bean will not contain the selected person from the request. This is not a problem however, since the new value is passed via the ValueChangeEvent object.

  • Will BridgeIt Technology work with JSF Applications?

    I have a JSF based web application and needed to be able to upload pictures and audio snippets from the mobile field staff.  I see that BridgeIt allows HTML5 integration between web and native components but I couldn't tell from the tutorials if it would work for a JSF application or not.  Does anybody know?  Note I see that the product is from ICEsoft but to be honest I am not an ICEfaces user (I use one of the competitors products).  Can it still work?
    Thanks.

    PPPOE will be one of the choices for the connection, these new routers often come with a wizard that knows what to do anyway.
    Yeah WAN is Internet
    No, you don't need a password but some routers insist you provide one.

    Hi
    Why dont you enable RFCs in the SAP system as WebServices and consume them? If you have a very old SAP system then use JCo (JCA) / JRA and connect through the RFC layer.

  • Deploying JSF application on Tomcat 5.0.28

    Hi,
    I am having problems deploying JSF application (developed using Studio Creator) on Tomcat. Any suggessions ....
    HTTP Status 404 - Servlet Faces Servlet is not available....
    Thanks in advance

    I ran into this same problem moving from Tomcat 4.1.31 to Tomcat 5.0.28. This one was definitely a headscratcher, but the solution turned out to be simple as I had an older servlet api jar (2.3) in my J2SE's jre/lib/ext directory. I replaced the existing servlet.api with servlet-api.jar and jsp-api.jar from the Tomcat 5.0.28 common/lib directory, restarted Tomcat, and the problem disappeared.

  • How to create JSF application from xsd files?

    Hi,
    We have many xsd files describing xml's which we are supposed to send to web services. Application which we are creating should allow user to fill xml documents with data and then we should send those xml files to some web service. We want to automatize as much as possible the process of application creation to avoid possible errors and to minimize our efforts (there are plenty of quite complex xsd files).
    Our first approach was: we used Oracle JSXB to generate java classes basing on xsd files (using JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.0.4066). Then we tried to generate DataControls, but this action fails with following error:
    Window title: Error in init bean
    Message: Could not complete initbean because it would result in an invalid document
    Details: oracle.bali.xml.model.XmlInvalidOnCommitException: SEVERE: Wartość atrybutu Name nie jest typu ID (Value of Name attribute is not of ID type)
    Wartość musi być następującego typu: (Value must be of following type)
    Nazwa typu: ID (Type name)
    Typ pierwotny: string (Primitive type)
    Z następującymi więzami: (With following constraints)
    zgodne z wzorcem: [\i-[:]][\c-[:]]* (Compliant with template)
    [ node = Name ]
    <JavaBean version="10.1.3.40.66" id="XSLStylesheet" BeanClass="oracle.xml.xslt.XSLStylesheet" Package="oracle.xml.xslt" isJavaBased="true">
    <Attribute Name="classMethodParams" IsUpdateable="0" Type="java.util.Hashtable" />
    We tried Sun implementation fo JAXB - it generated different java classes (with annotation mechanism). Creation of DataControls using those classes was successful. Then we created simple JSF page and tried to put those DataControls on it in order to let the user fill it with data. The thing is that those controls are read only as there is no row created in those DC. We can't create any row in those DC as there are only 'commit' and 'rollback' operations. When we try to call 'CreateInsert' operation on child elements of those DC we get error in JDeveloper log window:
    2007-05-29 10:08:46 oracle.adf.controller.faces.lifecycle.FacesPageLifecycle addMessage
    WARNING: JBO-29000: DataControl:createRowData
    2007-05-29 10:08:46 oracle.adf.controller.faces.lifecycle.FacesPageLifecycle addMessage
    WARNING: DataControl:createRowData
    new row is not created and controls are still read-only.
    The question is:
    1. is there another, more efficient way to create JSF application from xsd files?
    2. if this is the best way to do it, what do we do wrong?
    Leszek

    To anyone who might find it useful: our solution to mentioned problem.
    Few tips how to solve described problem:
    1. Do not use JAXB (we checked Oracle and Sun)
    2. Use castor http://www.castor.org/
    a) for each xsd generate java files in separated package
    b) use java 1.5 to let castor generate lists
    c) use mapping of xml namespaces to java packages to have only 1 implementation of each xsd
    3. Create facades - java files for you root-level java objects
    4. Right click those facades and choose 'Create DataControl' in jdev
    5. Now you may drag and drop you DataControls and use them in your JSF (or UIX) application
    I hope it will help someone :)
