Viewing Table Based Responses

Update we can scroll through the Scoring, just cannot scroll through the table based responses.
We are having an issue when supplier respond and being able to view/score multiple pages.  Only the first of three pages is displayed - when clicking on Next or choosing page 2 or 3 from the drop down, the system only displays page 1.  Any ideas on what the issue may be?

All HTML email templates will be table based, unless the creator is trying something unusual.

  • A dynamic table based on run-time created view object -- please help!

    Hello!
    I'm trying to create a dynamic table based on an run-time created view object. All go ok, but table binding component take the first view/iterator state and don't reflect changes they have. Please, take a look:
    1. At run-time the view is being replaced by new red-only one based on query in application module:
    getQueryView().remove();
    createViewObjectFromQueryStmt("QueryView", statement);
    2. Page definition file contains an iterator (using iterator or methodIterator - doesn't matter) binding and table, which binds to the iterator, like:
    <methodIterator id="distributeQuery1Iter" Binds="distributeQuery1.result"
    DataControl="QueryServiceDataControl" RangeSize="10"/>
    <table id="distributeQuery11" IterBinding="distributeQuery1Iter"/>
    3. The page code uses <af:table>. But, if I use table binding (it's right) like this:
    <af:table var="row" value="#{bindings.distributeQuery11.collectionModel}">
    <af:forEach items="#{bindings.distributeQuery11.attributeDefs}" var="def">
    the table will never changed (i.e. still show the first view instance).
    When I tried to use iterator binding directly (it's bad and cannot provide all needed features unlike CollectionModel from table binding) I saw that table works!
    (Code is somehing like:
    <af:table var="row" value="#{bindings.myIterator.allRowsInRange}">
    <af:forEach items="#{bindings.myIterator.attributeDefs}" var="def">
    Why the table binding do not reflect changes in iterator? Or should I use different approach?
    Thanks in advance!
    Ilya.

    I got it to work! I used a hybrid approach comprised of some of your code and some of Steve Muench's AcceessAppModuleInBackingBean example.
    In the setBindings method, I execute an app module method that redefines the query, then I used your code to delete and recreate bindings and iterator:
    public void setBindingContainer(DCBindingContainer bc) {
    this.bindingContainer = bc;
    rebuildVO();
    The rebuildVO() method looks like the code you provided in your example:
    private void rebuildVO() {
    DCDataControl dc;
    DispatchAppModule dApp;
    DCBindingContainer bc;
    DCIteratorBinding it;
    OperationBinding operationBinding;
    ViewObject vo;
    DCControlBinding cb;
    try {
    bc = getBindingContainer();
    dc = bc.findDataControl(DATACONTROL);
    dApp = (DispatchAppModule)dc.getDataProvider();
    // Execute App Module Method to rebuild VO based upon new SQL Statement.
    dApp.setDispatchViewSQL();
    vo = dApp.findViewObject(DYNAMIC_VIEW_NAME);
    it = bc.findIteratorBinding(DYNAMIC_VO_ITER_NAME);
    it.bindRowSetIterator(vo, true);
    // logger.info("Remove value binding...");
    cb = bc.findCtrlBinding(DYNAMIC_VIEW_NAME);
    cb.getDCIteratorBinding().removeValueBinding(cb);
    bc.removeControlBinding(cb);
    // logger.info("Creating new value binding...");
    FacesCtrlRangeBinding dynamicRangeBinding =
    new FacesCtrlRangeBinding(null,
    bc.findIteratorBinding(DYNAMIC_VO_ITER_NAME), null);
    // logger.info("Add control binding...");
    bc.addControlBinding(DYNAMIC_VIEW_NAME, dynamicRangeBinding);
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    And my App Module method that redefines the view object looks like this:
    public void setDispatchViewSQL() {
    String SQL =
    "begin ? := PK_BUsiNESS.F_GETDISPATCHVIEWSQL();end;";
    CallableStatement st = null;
    String ViewSQL = null;
    try {
    st = getDBTransaction().createCallableStatement(SQL,
    DBTransaction.DEFAULT);
    * Register the first bind parameter as our return value of type LONGVARCHAR
    st.registerOutParameter(1, OracleTypes.LONGVARCHAR);
    st.execute();
    ViewSQL = ((OracleCallableStatement) st).getString(1);
    findViewObject(DYNAMIC_VO_NAME).remove();
    ViewObject vo = createViewObjectFromQueryStmt(DYNAMIC_VO_NAME, ViewSQL);
    vo.executeQuery();
    } catch (SQLException s) {
    throw new JboException(s);
    } finally {
    try {
    st.close();
    } catch (SQLException s) {
    s.printStackTrace();
    When I run it I get my desired results. One thing I don't quite understand is why when the page is first rendered it shows the last set of records rather than the first. Now I have to figure out how to put navigation URLS in each of the table cells.
    Thanks for your help; I would not have gotten this far without it,
    Jeff

  • Update view ( view is based on 3 tables)

    i have view based on 3 tables.
    create view view_master
    select '1' as no , name , no from a
    union all
    select '2' as no , name , no from b
    union
    select '3' as no , name , no from c
    actually i wanted to update view base table, Can i update a view view_master ?
    My question here is does oracle support view update ( view is based on 3 tables)
    Please advise ,,,

    Apart from Instead of trigger any other work around? The best way to answer that question is if you let us know:
    - your database version ( select * from v$version; )
    - give us a narrowed down example of the 'begin-situation' and the desired 'final situation'.\

  • Finding table based on view?

    i am having one view.I want to know on which table that view is based on.
    how can i know the table name on which a view is created.
    Thankx..

    There is one more way. You can get this information from user_dependencies. This view provides all dependencies like for example it answers the question 'what are the tables a procedure or a function is using?'
    SQL> select name,type,referenced_name,referenced_type where name='yourviewname';

  • Problem with 2 View Objects based on One Entity -Probably a Bug in ADF BC

    Hi
    I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3(SU5) and adf faces and ADF BC and to explain my problem I use HR schema.
    First, I created 2 view objects based on countries table named as TestView1 and TestView2. I set TestView1 query where clause to region_id=1 and TestView2 query where clause to region_id!=1 in the view object editor and then I created 2 separated form on these 2 view objects by dragging and dropping from data control palette.
    Now when I insert a record in the form based on TestView1 with region_id set to 1 and commit the record and go to the next form I can see the record in the second form which is completely wrong since it is against the where clause statement of the second form.
    I am really confused and the situation is very wired and it seems to me something like bug in adf bc.Am I right.Is there any work around or solution for solving this problem.
    Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Navid

    Dear Frank,
    Thank you very much for your quick response.
    Reading your helpful comments now I have some questions:
    1- I have commited the record in the database so shouldn't the query of view objects be re-queried?
    2- We try to use ClearVOCaches (entity_name,false) in afterCommit of the base entity object but unfortunately it does not work correctly. after that,We got root app module and used findViewObject method to find all the view of that entity (we have found them by using name not automaticlly) and called executeQuery of all views. From my point of view it has 2 big disadvantages. First suppose that this entity is an important entity and 4 or 5 viow objects are based on it. Now, For inserting one record we should re-execute 4 or 5 view which I think makes some performance issues. Besides, If during the development one programmer add a new view object based on this entity and don't add the executeQuery in the afterCommit for this view, again we have the same problem. Isn't there at least a way that automatically refresh all related view objects however the performance issue still exists.
    3- You mentioned that this issue is handled in the developer guide. Could you kindly give me a refrence which developer guide you mean and which section I should read to overcome this problem.(I have ADF Developer's Guide for Forms/4GL Developer's Guide , however I search for clearVOCaches and surprisingly nothing was found!!!)
    4- Could you please give me some hints that from your point of view what is the best method to solve this problem with minimum performance effect.
    Any comment would be of some great help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Navid

  • How to edit data from a "View Table"?

    I am importing data from a "table view" where in sql it joins several tables into one view. When I passed it in using the template it doesnt have the "Edit command column" like other direct link tables. Is there anyway I could make a view table editable? Can I manually try to do it or I have to edit the individual ables? thanks

    oh sorry about that.The "template" I mean in HTMLDB when I start building a new application I used "Based on existing tables" method and with single tables it generates everything fine with search fields and edit column to the left. I have a table view that combines about 4 tables together and I used the same template (Based on existing tables) and it has the search and create but it doesnt have the "edit" column on the left. Is there a way I can edit the view table's information so that the other tables that the view combines will be updated/edited?
    The reason is that lets say I dont know this person's ID number but I know his name. I search for his name on table A and it returns some general data including his ID number. Instead of going to another Table B with the person's ID number and edit that table I really want to see the information just from one search (Table A)- if a global search can be implemented that would be great too. Thanks Sergio.

  • Error in creating Transport Request for a view table

    Hello all,
    I have an ECC IDES 6.0 system named EC1 and another one which is ECC EhP4 IDES named EA1 which I have just installed.
    One of my requesters has a view table named ZVAITM_TBLE in EC1 and she wants it to be transported to EA1.
    So I created a workbench transport in SE10 and included the following:
    PgmID = R3TR
    Obj = VDAT
    Object name = ZVAITM_TBLE
    But when I press enter, I encountered the following error:
    No object definition exists for Customizing object ZVAITM_TBLE
    Message no. TK427
    Diagnosis
    The Customizing object R3TR VDAT ZVAITM_TBLE is not defined in the tables of the Change and Transport System.
    This means that you cannot use the Transport Organizer to edit it.
    System Response
    The function terminates.
    Procedure
    First check whether the name of the object is correct. Then you (or the system administrator) should check the object definition, to ensure that the object was created correctly (transaction SOBJ).
    If the object does not exist, then create it or delete it from the request/task.
    I am new to transports so I have no idea how to proceed.
    Please advise.
    Thanks a lot!
    Cha Cha

    Hello Cha,
    Kindly open this custom table using SM30 and try creating a transport request from there.

  • How to populate a table based on a row selection from another table.

    Hi, i just started to use ADF BC and Faces. Could some one help me or point me a solution on the following scenario .
    By using a search component , a table is being displayed as a search result. If i select any row in the resulted table , i need to populate an another table at the bottom of the same page from another view. These two tables are related by primary key . May i know how to populate a table based on a row selection from another table. Thanks
    ganesh

    I understand your requirement and the tutorial doesn't talk about Association between the views so that you can create a Master-Detail or in DB parlance, a Parent-Child relationship.
    I will assume that we are dealing with two entities here: Department and Employees where a particular Department has many Employees and hence a Parent-Child relationship.
    Firstly, you need to create an Association between the two Entities - Department and Employees. You can do that by right clicking on the model's entity and then associating the two entities with the appropriate key say, DepartmentId.
    Once you have done that, you need to link the two entities in the View section with this Association that you created. Then go to AppModule and make sure that in the Available View Objects: 'EmployeesView' appears under 'DepartmentView' as "EmployeesView via <link you created>". Shuttle the 'DepartmentView' to the right, Data Model and then shuttle
    "EmployeesView via <link you created>" to the right, Data Model under 'DepartmentView'.
    This will then be reflected in your Data Controls. After that, you simply would have to drag this View into your page as a Master-Detail form...and then when you run this page, any row selected in the Master table, would display the data in the Detail table.
    Also, refer to this link: [Master-Detail|http://baigsorcl.blogspot.com/2010/03/creating-master-detail-form-in-adf.html]
    Hope this helps.

    is there any better way or solutions to work ard with it?
    Thanks.

    Thanks Mark,
    That's what i suspected the case, will log the itar later when i am free.
    Actually my main issue is that I am using forms 9i to view and edit the view tables that are based on the xml schema. Forms is giving me problem in accessing complicating views.
    I think my only solution is to:
    1)create a custom table updated by the view table.
    2)Create my form block based on custom table.
    3)update the xml data using updateXML() from the custom table.

  • Tables based on DTD

    Does anybody know if there a way to create tables based on a DTD on the fly. Meaning, given a tool by Oracle, I provide a DTD and it creates a table in the database.
    AR
    null

    Is that the same thing as me writing an XSQL document which contains all of my queries (or views).
    In other words, do I have to map everything by hand or is there a tool to do that for me?
    thanks again,

  • Not display views/tables on DB connect source system

    Dear Experts,
    After creating a oracle DB connect source system, I want to create data sources based on oracle db. But it is not showing any view/table.
    Connection is up and running.
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Thilini

    Hi Thilini,
    Are you sure that the DB user on Oracle has sufficient authorizations?
    Does the search help support wildcards? Did you try w/o any wildcard or enter a table or a view name supplied by your Oracle DBA?

  • Separate App Module, View Object based on Select not EO: Best practice?

    Hi,
    I have a list of base tables(parameters) that are used everywhere in my application for selection components (List, Combo, Radio).
    I'm considering creating a separate app module with a view object based on query for each table.
    I have created a BaseTableAM application module for managing those tables, Entity objects and View Objects in update mode.
    Those tables are rarely changed.
    Example of table:
    ItemType
    item_type_id = primary key
    name = description
    In the BasetableAM:
    ItemTypeEO entity object
    ItemTypeVO updateable view object based on related entity object.
    Now in my project I will create combo boxes for selection of the item_type_id.
    Separate application module:
    SelectionViewAM composed of View Objects based on Select statements and not on Entity Objects.
    Example of view object ItemTypeViewVO:
    SELECT ItemType.ITEM_TYPE_ID,
    ItemType.NAME
    FROM ITEM_TYPE ItemType
    All view objects in this application module will be read-only and for selection only.
    By basing all those View Objects on select statements not based on Entity Objects I suppose there will be no locking and "value changed" management => less overhead.
    Is this a good practice?
    Being read-only I could have based those View Object on Entity Object with flag updateable set to no, what would you recommend?
    By creating a separate Application Module for those selection view objects, I know that update will not be possible.
    Thank you for your advice.
    Frederic

    See this article for View Object tuning tips:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/muench/voperftips/index.html
    Are you planning to use this AM as a nested AM inside other application modules?
    If you don't the "selection AM" will have its own, separate database connection/transaction.
    If you do, it will share connection, transaction with its containing "root" AM.
    It may not be relevant to your application, but just realize (which is explained in the article I point to above) that view objects that are not related to entity objects do not "see" pending changes in the current transaction. That feature depends on the VO/EO cooperation. It's fine to build VO's without an EO -- in fact we've made it easier to do this in 10.1.2 in the Design Time wizards -- but you just want to make sure you realize what features it's giving up. If you don't need those EO-related features, then by all means create an Expert Mode VO that's not related to EO's.

  • How to update a bc4j detail table based on master selection

    I have a bc4j table with single selection set.
    When I retrieve the index of the single selection and set the current row in my view object based on that index my detail view object does not update its record.
    Only when I am first populating my master view object does the detail view object update or if I set a small range and change between index ranges.
    I thought by changing the current row in the master view object the detail view object listener would handle cause the detail view to update.
    Please Help.

    This looks like a question better suited for the JDeveloper forum. I'd venture a guess that it's a problem with the setup of your associations.

  • SelectOneRadio on a View Table

    Hi. I need to make a formulary that has 4 different options per question. The questions are stored on a table in the DB, so, I created a view object based on that table, then on JDeveloper I created a read only table (af:table) and added an extra colum with a af:selectOneRadio.
    What I need to do is get the selected value for the selectOneRadio on every question, but I have no clue how to do that. I have managed to get the entire column of the table using
    CoreColumn columna = (CoreColumn) tblPreguntas.findComponent("column2"); [where tblPreguntas is the af:table], and then wrote the following line
    CoreSelectOneRadio respuesta = (CoreSelectOneRadio) columna.findComponent("selectOneRadio1");
    So, I'm not sure it this is the right solution, so any advise would be appreciated!

    Hi,
    you don't need to write any Java code to do this.
    You can do it declaratively using Steve's example here:
    Different component but same concept applies.
