Vodafone iPhone 3G unlock service through iTunes

GOD, i made a unlock fee payment on vodafone website, my iphone is still be locked. And vodafone customer service don;t what to do. Is anyone here having same problem?

Similar question for you. I use Entourage 2008 and have a 3g iPhone. I've never had a problem syncing calendar/contacts until just recently. Calendar is syncing just fine but my contacts are not syncing- meaning if I make a change within an entourage contact (change an email address, phone number, etc) it's not carrying over through sync- the contact on the iphone remains unchanged.
Within iTunes (vers 8.0) the following are selected:
- Sync Address Book Contacts-->All Contacts
- Replace information on this iphone-->contacts
Interesting to note that grayed out are: "selected groups" and "put new contacts created on iphone into the following groups". Also worth noting that within Entourage I do not have group options (that I am aware of)- so maybe that's a moot point.
I've done the 'reset sync history" withion Sync- nothing has changed.
What am i missing here? Appreciate any/all help...

You're out of space. Do you sync music to your phone? If so, try syncing it over in 128kb which will save a lot of room. Option is right in front of you in iTunes when you plug phone in.

If the iPhone has Find My iPhone activation lock enabled then you will not be able to activate the iPhone without entering the correct Apple ID and password it is locked to. Sorry but there is no way to bypass this.

Please, kindly assist me with following challenges. I use iphone 3GS. I have used the phone for almost a year now. My iphone 3GS cannot connect to the itunes store. Each time I connect my phone to my Laptop through itunes. A message will automatically come up which states that "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknoown error occured (306)". It also make a footnote which states "make sure that your network connection ia active and try again". When I click the button labeled OK just below the messages, another message will come up which reads, "A new iphone software version (5.1) is available for the iphone software. Would you like to download it and update your iphone now?". It gives me the option buttons such as CANCEL or DOWNLOAD AND UPDATE or DOWNLOAD ONLY. If I click on DOWNLOAD AND UPDATE or DOWNLOAD ONLY. Another message will appear which states that "The iphone software update Server could not be conted" With a Footnote that states "Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connections is active, or try again later.
The above challenge has continued for more that 3 months now. This challenge has hindered me from installing some applications like Facebook Application for iphone, LinkedIn application for iphone and a lot of other applications. Each time I try to get these applications my iphone 3GS while inform that my current ios version 4.1 cannot work with the application, that they requires at least ios version 5.1 or above.

I saw your message. Below are the problems:
Whenever I connect my iphone 3GS to my PC through a USB. My itunes software comes up automatically.
1. After that a message appears from the itunes that states that 'itunes could not connect to the itunes store, an unknown error cccured (306).
2. After the above, an alert message comes up which states that A new iphone software version 5.1 is availlable for my iphone. It then states would you like to download it and update your iphone now? With the options buttons as Cancel or Download and Update or Download Only. Whenever I clicked on Download and Update or Download Only, the next message that comes up is that The iphone Software Update Server Could not be Contacted and suggest make sure your network setting are correct and active or try again later.
The above is the challenges I am facing now.

Upgrading iPhone software 3.0 through iTunes but won't update

I've been trying to update my iPhone software to 3.0 through iTunes on my home PC, but it keeps giving me an error message saying that the "software update server cannot be contacted. Check internet connection or try again later." My internet connect is active/fine, have already downloaded the latest version of iTunes (8.2), so what's wrong???

I think I've figured this out.
Using another PC on a different network, which doesn't have a restrictive firewall, and the synch to Gmail contacts worked...
I didn't think it was a firewall problem, because in the original attempt, I even used Wireshark to sniff the network traffic for the synchronization traffic. I only saw http traffic to the google servers, and that's not restricted...so I must have missed something in the network trace, but my guess is that the firewall (a cisco 5500 series) was blocking the authentication traffic. Perhaps it uses imap or some other protocol besides http or https, which would have been allowed.
I also log all dropped traffic in a syslog, and didn't see any entries corresponding to the synch, but again, I may have missed something.
So, at any rate, it is now working and I'm pretty certain it was the cisco firewall policy that was the problem.

You can copy it from the iPhone to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) and should then be able to watch it on your computer's iTunes

IPhone music not accessible through iTunes

My phone is recognized on iTunes as a device, but all of the sudden there are no music tabs or playlist tabs--the main device tab is the only thing I can click on. And I can't manage my music through iTunes anymore. I just updated my iTunes and my iPhone software is up to date, but it did not fix the problem. Any clues?

Thanks for your response. I have turned on iTunes Match in the Settings>Music. I cannot find Setting>iTunes & App Stores. I do see Settings>Store and within that setting Automatic Downloads Music and Apps which I have turned on. I don't see anywhere else that iTunes Match is mentioned except Settings>Music. Am I mising something?

Iphone can't backup through itunes

I've bought iPhone 6 Plus and wanna backup my iPhone 4S through iTunes.
My iPhone 4S didn't backup for a long time.
However, when the iPhone 4S connect to the iTunes, it only showed the Welcome page and i can't backup the iPhone as normal.
Anyone know the situation and can help me to fix it?

The music should eb on your computer, as that is where it came from in the first place.

Phantom Podcasts they are on my IPhone but not visible through ITunes sync

I have three podcast (NYT Front page, NPR Most Email Stories & This American Life that were synced on Monday morning 9/14) that I thought I deleted from my IPhone (ver. 3.1) and they no longer show up when I'm synced with ITunes 9 however still show up on my IPhone. I listen to a lot of podcasts and manually sync (and delete) everything. I've deleted other podcasts since ver 3.1 but for some reason these are still there. iTunes will only transfer purchases back to your computer using the iTunes > File > Transfer purchases from XXX's iPhone. It will not transfer playlists or non-purchased songs.

You can't. Only the carrier can unlock a phone, since they locked it in the first place. Softbank does not unlock their phones. You cannot use a Softbank phone with another carrier. Buy a new phone.

IPhone won't charge through iTunes

My iPhone 3G will charge when I conect it to the AC Adapter, but for some reason today it won't charge when I connect the same wire to my Macbook. iTunes does not recognise the phone and so therefore I cannot swap tunes on it.
Any ideas?

My contract recentley ended with Orange and I wanted to upgrade my 4s. So I signed a new one with them and got a 5s. Now I want to unlock my 4s so I can give it to my dad. But I'm having problems unlocking it. I saw another thread where someone had posted a link with intructions saying that only your network provider can unlock your phone. However on youtube I saw a video of someone apparently succesfully unlocking their Iphone using Itunes. After he had restored his phone he got a message saying it was unlocked. But when I tried doing this I didn't get any such message and while my phone was reset to factory settings it was not unlocked. Was the video I watched a fake? Or is it possible to bypass calling your provider or using these pay sites to unlock your phone and unlock it through Itunes? Any help with this would be greatly appriciated.

Only the carrier that phone is locked to can officially unlock it.
Most, if not all, pay sites will hack it to unlock it and then any update done to the phone afterwards will re-lock it to original the carrier as the hakc would be removed with the update.
If you qualify for unlocking, EE should have no qualms in unlocking it for you. Some carriers even offer it for free if you qualify.
Your best bet is to call EE and have them do it.

No control of Aps through ITunes

Just updated to 4.2.1 and can't manipulate aps on my iPhone 3G after synching through ITunes. The "Sync Aps" check box, the whole app list and app pages are grey (unaccessable). Rebooted phone and re-synched. Reloaded ITunes. No help. Seems like a 4.2.1. problem.

You can use a simple USB DAQ card and a stepper motor to do this Job. The main problem would be is to find who is speaking and where the webcam is currently focused.

Like you mentioned, she bought it from the Vodafone store and most likely the phone is locked to Vodafone. But, in your case since you are using the same carrier's SIM card (Vodafone), "unlocking the phone" is not an issue. Aside from that "phone unlocking" is ONLY done by the carrier and Vodafone NZ doesn't offer unlocking. (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937)
As you have already tried restoring the phone (which technically wasn't required) and SIM change, your best option is to take the phone to Vodafone store and ask them to activate it for you.
