VPD: sometimes sees other people's data

We have an application developed in JDev 10.1.3.3.0 in ADF BC/JSF. It uses VPD in the back end to distinguish one company's information from another's.
We use SSO implemented on OAS 10.1.3.3.0. (Or it might possibly be 10.1.3.1).
End-users sometimes see data from other companies. The problem is intermittant. In other words the same form might sometimes show the correct company's data (depending on the person that is logging in; a person is with a company, and the company is the discriminator on every table in the system that allows the tables to be partitioned data-wise).

Hi,
dependent on the business service you use (TopLink, ADF BC) make sure that the contxt is set on the right place. In ADF BC the context must be set in a prepare session call because after any kind of passivation the prepare session is called again. The database connection usually is re-newed but not kept (unless configured) which is why re-setting the VPD context is required.

If the books were all purchased from the iBooks Store, then you should be able to download it again. On your iOS devices, check in Settings > iBooks to see if Show Purchases is turned on and then open iBooks and they should be there. EP6 iView problem - User able to view other people's data

System Details:
EP6: SP7 Patch2
WebAS: 640 SP8
OS: HP-UX 1111
DB: Oracle 9.2.0.5
JDK: 1.4.2_05
While testing with multiple users, previous user's data has been retained across separate user sessions and on different machines. For example, 'User 1' would view their pay data then log off. On the same computer, 'User 2' would then login and be able to view 'User 1s' data. This error happens frequently (like 10% of attempts), however not reliably (ie we do not know what triggers the error). It uses the SAP Connectivity Framework to connect the Portal to a 46C backend.
Does anyone have any experience with this?

Call the ensureBeanIsSetup() in doInitialization() and in doProcessAfterInput().
Use session as scope in your JSPs. Of course you need to change the bean names to fit your code.

Why does I sometimes see other people's email address on iTunes Apple ID field when signing in or authorising?

I bought a new iMac (21.5 inch) about 6 weeks ago (in July). When I first opened up iTunes and was about to sign in to my Apple account, I found a random email address of someone I've never heard of in the Apple ID field. I just ignored it.
Today, I was authorising iTunes again and i found another person's email address. I've 'googled' the email address and it looks like it belong to someone from Australia (when I live in the UK and never been to Australia). This email address was on Gmail.
This is strange and I can't think of any possibilites on why its there? Any suggestions? Do you think I should email that address and see if I can find out anything?

That is strange. It sounds like you have saved login usernames & passwords on your System. It almost sounds like someone bought the computer before you and returned it. Where did you buy it, an Apple Retail Store.
When you started up the computer for the first time, did you need to go through the whole setup assistant to set up your user account.
You can look in a few places to see what's going on.
Open Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access. In the Keychain access Sidebar/Login/Passwords. See if there are keychain entries you did not create.
In Safari/Preferences/Autofill/User names and passwords/Edit. See if there are saved items you did not create

Usually, my wife contacts me with facetime, I try to accept connection and she sees other people form another country that quickly hang up.

Also if the above can be done can he change the settings on my actual phone and access my location without placing tracking software on my phone. Can someone please help here as I can't restore a backup to my phone for obvious reasons and refuse to change my number because of this loser.

Connect the device to the computer.
In iTunes, select the content desired to sync.

I am concerned about personal data being not encryption in transit over the Internet and therefore can be seen by other people.

I am a new Firefox user. I have just installed Firefox 4 on my windows PC today, 5/27/11. I have two major questions:
1. Accidentally, I clicked some thing at random on the screen (I can't remember what it was) and this page, http://us.config.toolbar.yahoo.com/bh/v2/wp/?view=wc&intl=us&pc=yma3&dc=v2_upgd&cv=2.3., showed up under Yahoo! Toolbar. It informed me that the connection was not encrypted and that information sent over the Internet could be seen by other people. I am not sure what the warning is all about. Does it mean when I use Firefox as a browser to access the Yahoo! and other Internet sites, e.g., my bank, all my personal (username, password, etc.) and bank data will be seen by other unauthorized people? I have never seen a similar warning from other browsers, such as Internet Explorer and Safari? So, if Firefox does not offer protection of personal data, I wonder what's the point of using it. I could have misinterpreted the Firefox warning and would highly appreciated it if you can clarify.
2. During the installation process, a message showed that Firefox 4 was not compatible with certain features of some of the software already on my PC. I did not copy those features and do not remember what they were except one that was associated with my firewall ZoneAlarm. I could be wrong but I think the message also said Firefox had removed the incompatible features. Please tell me if I should be concerned about it, especially the one that was removed from ZoneAlarm. Will my PC become susceptible to hacker invasions when I use Firefox as the browser? I wish Firefox had given some written explanations along with the incompatibility and removal message so that a user can understand exactly what it is about.
I would appreciate to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. I have tentatively suspended using Firefox until I can be assured that it is safe to do so without potentially compromising my personal data.

That is a generic warning message that you get if you submit a form via a normal HTTP connection (i.e not in via a secure HTTPS connection). That warning pop-up probably has a box to suppress this message in the future.
If you exchange data with your bank site then there should be a secure connection.
You can verify that by clicking the Site Identity Button (website's favicon) on the left end of the location bar.

You need to check the ZoneAlarm website to see if they have an update of their software that is compatible with Firefox 4.0.1

I'm unfamiliar with that particular game. However, you can test it for yourself. Put the phone in Airplane mode. Does the game still work? If so, it's not using data. Also, contact the developer.

Basically yes. Personal Hotspot means you are sharing out your Cellular Data connection.
If you give the Hotspot password to someone they will use your Cellular data to access the internet.

Help with what? There is the setting below(Settings - Messages) that allows you to send as SMS, if yours or other peoples imessage connection is not available. So if you don't want to send as text, just turn it off, but bear in mind they may never receive your message, especially if they stopped using iphones and moved to something else.

You lost this data. With iCloud, Apple doesn't support iDisk and Gallery, so their data is deleted after you move to iCloud if you didn't save them on your Mac

I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...

When other people send me a meeting request, they get the error you can see below (it says: "Your message can not be delivered to the following
people or distribution lists"). The strange thing is that I receive as well the meeting request and I can accept it. However, it is confusing for the people who send me the request, so can you help me to fix te problem?
I use Outlook 2010, but I had also this problem with an older version. I have not had this problem always. The problem started when I authorized a colleague
to look in my calendar (but, if I cancel the authorization it doesn't help, so I really don't understand what is going wrong!).
I really hope you know a solution of this problem.

You can contact your Exchange administrator to run the following command to check it:
Get-Mailbox –Identity yourname | Select Name, HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled
Or you can view your colleague’s Default Global Address List in OWA to check whether you are listed there or not.
Please check whether there is any transport rule or Outlook rule setting in your mailbox. Also change a new computer and create a new Outlook profile to have a try.

I am using my Apple ID on multiple devices for other people in my family and now I am getting a new iphone and want to take only the information on my old iphone to the new one without the information on the other devices using the same account. Is there a way to do that?
Also, for the future can I use multiple addresses and apple IDs for the same credit card information?

Ok, so you want to remove data (contacts, bookmarks, calendar etc) from other users from your iCloud/Apple ID?
If you want to use your ID for your family because it is the account everybody uses to buy stuff then you only need to ensure that your apple ID is set up in the store (settings-store) and then the users of each device and put their own apple ID in icloud/message/facetime/etc.
To set up your device, in my opinion, it is best to back up to itunes, and then plug your new device into itunes and "set up as ..." and select the backup from your device. This will import all your data/settings and your new device will be set up just like your old one.
I am not certain about using the same payment method for more than one account.
