W3.2: What is 3.2 doing with Sysdeo DevLoader?

"Automatic Sysdeo installation and configuration for Tomcat. "
What is it doing?
Is there a relationship to .#webclasspath?
What does it mean?
We are having trouble referencing an .jar application into a web application, and we have the feeling that this is related.

Workshop 3.2:
Workshop carries out the following to configure Tomcat server with Sysdeo DevLoader.
NOTE: This configuration is done only when you run/debug an application which has external references (jars/classes).
- Sysdeo DevLoader installation: If Tomcat server is not configured with DevLoader, JSP Debugger alert comes up "The classpath contains classes or jars which are not inside the standard <WebAppRoot>/WEB-INF/classes or WEB-INF/lib/ directories:
The application will fail to run if any of these entries is used. Sysdeo DevLoader can load these classes. Do you want to install it in ...Tomcat\server\classes?"
Yes, will install the DevLoader classes.
- In addition .#webclasspath file is created inside Project's WebAppRoot with list of all the external references. This file acts as the source for the libraries path to the DevLoader.
- Lastly, a context.xml file is created within Project's/WebAppRoot/META-INF folder to use the DevLoader
<Context docBase="" path="<Project>" reloadable="true" source="org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.server:<Project>">
<Loader className="org.apache.catalina.loader.DevLoader" reloadable="true" debug="0"/>
</Context>
With this all the external references are resolved by the server.
FYI: In Workshop 3.1 this configuration was a manual process.

  • What is Kernel_Task & Kernel_Task_0 doing with my network storage plan?

    Living in a rural, I have a limited amount of internet per month. Lately this has just been sucked and I narrowed the culprit down to one of the MacBooks in the house running OS X Maverick.
    When connected, it will be fine, with absolutely no applications running (other than Activity Monitor), and then randomly it will just download to it's heart's desire. Afterwords it will then upload an equal amount to what it downloaded and then stop for a while. This repeats and I can't figure out what's going on! It's always done on either Kernel_Task or Kernel_Task_0 but aren't those part of the OS?
    Let me know if you need more info on my computer, what software it runs, screenshots of AM, etc.
    Thanks (:

    Most often BitTorrent, iCloud, Dropbox, or some other cloud-data application is involved in cases of mysterious bandwidth use by a Mac. If you use iCloud, uncheck at least Photo Stream and Documents & Data in its preference pane and see whether there's any change. If you use third-party network backup or file-sync software, disable that. If you use a torrent client, remove it.
    Otherwise, if you're running OS X 10.9 or later, you can see which processes are most active on the network.
    Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
    Select All Processes from the View menu, if not already selected, and also select the Network tab.
    Click the heading of the Sent Bytes column in the process table to sort the entries by bandwidth usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Repeat with the Rcvd Bytes column.

  • What is menu-cache doing with pcmanfm socket?

    At the moment, pcmanfm will not start; it hangs forever trying to connect to an old socket in /tmp.  That socket is apparently being kept open by a process named menu-cached, which I had never heard of till today.  So I am curious, does anyone know why that process should be connecting to pcmanfm's socket?  Should I file a bug?
    $ ls -l /tmp/.pcman*
    srwxr-xr-x 1 john users 0 May  6 11:54 /tmp/.pcmanfm-socket:0.0-john
    $ lsof | grep pcman
    menu-cach 5613      john    6u     unix 0xffff880127c3d040      0t0   279405 /tmp/.pcmanfm-socket
    $ ls -l /proc/5613/exe
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 john users 0 May  6 12:14 /proc/5613/exe -> /usr/lib/menu-cache/menu-cached
    $ pacman -Qo /usr/lib/menu-cache/menu-cached
    /usr/lib/menu-cache/menu-cached is owned by menu-cache 0.3.2-1

    Also curious is that after I try to kill menu-cached (with kill 5613) it does not exit but shows status "t" in top (which is not documented in the manual page).
    PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
    5613 john 20 0 31816 1916 1440 t 0.0 0.0 0:00.00 menu-cached
    gdb gives:
    Attaching to process 5613
    ptrace: Operation not permitted.

  • What is call manager doing with Jabber guest if you have no endpoints registered to Call manager?

    Our Call  Manager deployment is in it's VERY early stages. We have a Telepresence infrastructure at the moment (VCS Control and Expressway). All of our TP endpoints and Jabber Telepresence clients are registered to the VCS. What is going on that the Jabber guest and VCS server need call manager for? I know it's REQUIRED in the manual and I saw a slide somewhere that said using Jabber Guest without Call manager is NOT SUPPORTED.
    Realistically though, I might not get permission to build a SIP trunk between the new Call manager and VCS for some time..so...supported or not will it work without call  manager or is there something going on that's critical on call manager to make it work regardless of the fact that there is nothing registered to CUCM?
    thanks!

    Hi Douglas,
    As you've gathered this configuration is not supported, and hence we don't actively test it or document it.  That said, it should work fine

  • What is Time-Machine doing with all that space?!!!

    When I installed Leopard, I had about 750 GB of data on internal hard drives.
    I set up Time-Machine to back-up to a 1.5 TB external hard drive.
    I was certain that this was enough space to keep the program happy for a very long time.
    But now, only two days later, time machine has left only 50 GB remaining on that external drive, and that number is decreasing rapidly.
    So where did all the space go?
    (BTW... I have not been manipulating or deleting any massive files since I initiated T.M.)
    (BTW Again... for anyone who cares, I strongly suggest you look for a QUIET external drive for time machine, since it runs CONSTANTLY!!)

    Mac FixIt has some advice on this problem:
    "Time Machine slowness, fix Extremely large or frequently updated files (or worse, files that fall into both categories) can cause Time Machine spike in processor usage, resulting in slowness for other applications or the system in general. The simple solution is to exclude these files from Time Machine's backup routine. You can do this by navigating to the "Time Machine" pane of System Preferences, then clicking the "Options" button. This will bring up a "Do not back up:' dialog box. You can then click the small "+" button and choose folders or files you don't want Time Machine Backup.
    Common culprits include:
    Virtual Machine hard drive files, including those generated by Parallels and VMWare Fusion. Exclude these immediately.
    Databases that are persistently accessed by some applications. For instance, Microsoft Entourage keeps a huge database file for mailboxes that is updated frequently."
    I would assume that this would also result in bigger backups.
    Sounds like you have another problem if you Time Machine drive runs constantly as you say. It should only do that on initial backup.

  • N80 - What am i missing doing

    hi
    i have an N80 - which i am happy with, but i sometimes wonder what i should be doing with it.
    i use it for..
    phone calls, messaging, the odd appointment, photos and some videoing - and i have tomtom on it... but what else can i do? what else would i want to do?

    There's a whole heap of other stuff you can use it for ! :
    1) Surfing the internet via WiFi
    2) Listening to music - replace your iPod !
    3) Listen to the radio !
    4) Reading ebooks on the way to work (unless you drive)
    5) Use it as a webcam (http://motvik.com/download.php)
    6) Play games or find an interesting application to run on it : http://www.softwaremarket.nokia.com/
    7) Use it as your alarm clock
    Now, as with the N95, a better question would be - what can't I do with it ?
    1) It can't make the tea
    2) It can't hold a meaningful conversation in its own right
    3) You can't have kids with it
    So as you can see, a scientific demonstration therefore has shown there are more things you can do with the N80 than what you can NOT do.
    Go forth and enjoy young man !
    Regards,
    Edward

    private String _messageAll that is doing is declaring _message as a String--what ever the applicatoin does with it is totally seperate.
    waiting for an early help.I can see you are trying very hard to reverse engineer something.... A lot of the time the context of what the objects are that you are trying to reverse engineer is helpful.

    i bought the new ipad (ipad 3) in July 2012.  what software did it come with and does it have siri?

    The new iPad comes with iOS 5.1.1.
    To get all new functionality and Siri, you need to update to iOS 6.
    Be aware that if you were a Google Maps App user this has been replaced by version 1.0 of Apple's own new Maps App.
    From the many user reviews, Apple's Map App is still a work in progress.
    You can still access Google Maps from the Safari web browser.
    Also, the YouTube app has, also, made a disappearing act.
    You can use mobile YouTube from Safari to still view YouTube or a YouTube client app called Jasmine or download the Google YouTube App for iPhone. Google is working on a new YouTube App for iPad and isn't available, as yet.

  • How Do I Determine What WUDFHost.exe is Doing and What It's Associated With?

    Since around the time of the installation of Win 8.1 Update 1 I've had a couple of new WUDFHost.exe processes that run all the time.  Today I saw one of them accessing data on a backup volume, which I assume was some kind of maintenance
    activity - but I'm not sure.
    My question is this:
    How can I determine what these processes are doing, why they're here, and what they're associated with (i.e., what feature or device has caused them to be running).  I don't suspect them of causing a specific problem - my system's running fine
    - but I want to know why they're running.
    Process Explorer shows them to have been started by these two command lines:
    "C:\Windows\System32\WUDFHost.exe" -HostGUID:{193a1820-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-be817523f6aa} -IoEventPortName:HostProcess-ae18c507-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-ce7a84b73fb2 -SystemEventPortName:HostProcess-76f2d2b0-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-25de41b0af65 -IoCancelEventPortName:HostProcess-52988628-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-54018fc05bec

    "C:\Windows\System32\WUDFHost.exe" -HostGUID:{193a1820-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-be817523f6aa} -IoEventPortName:HostProcess-af2e6f5b-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-39a9cc13f6d4 -SystemEventPortName:HostProcess-45e89330-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-9e76811e37aa -IoCancelEventPortName:HostProcess-3007f65c-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-c6cdd5617944

    As you can see, their function isn't obvious from what's showing.
    What tools can I used to delve further into what these are and why they're here?
    Thanks for any help or wisdom you can offer.

  • Just bought a Macbook Air.  I does not appear to be compatible with my LCD projector.  What LCD projectors work best with MacBook Air?

    My Cannon LCD LV-7210 projector does not recognize my Macbook Air nor does my Macbook Air recognize it is attached to an LCD projector.  Yes, I do have the proper adapter.
    What LCD projectors work best with Macbook Air?  Does this LCD projector have auto-detect for computer?
    Thanks!

    I've just purchased a *27in (aluminium case) LCD Cinema Display* and am using it with my MacBook Pro, linked by the supplied three-jack cable (Mini DVI display jack).
    The 27" display uses Mini DisplayPort, not Mini DVI.
    But I also have *a white-cased MacBook (purchased in 2008) which has an older type of display socket*, certainly not compatible with the Mini DVI type.
    The early Mac Book uses Mini DVI.
    1. Is there a cable or adaptor available to link my older MacBook to the Cinema Display? Nothing in the online store looks 'right'
    No. Mini DVI is single-link, and does not support the resolution needed for the 27" display.

    Would there be any particular reason why my iPad will not join my wireless internet at home but my iPhone and Macbook are joined?  I thought that sign was hindering the connect but that is completely unrelated.

  • What internet security suites does Firefox work with completely?

    My Kaspersky internet website blocker and advisor won't work with the new Firefox update. This is why I am not updating. What security internet suites does Firefox work completely with. This is a constant problem with Kaspersky which is one of the higher rated security suites available. I don't like paying for security that Firefox disables.

    Toolbars and other applications bundled with anti-virus are usually not helpful in any way. I stay away from all toolbars simply because they are useless and offer no real protection other than annoying me.
    If you <s>ever</s> have Kaspersky or any other anti-virus installed, you will be protected. Every antivirus protects your whole system, not just a certain program. You will be fine.
    As for Firefox and Kasperky's toolbar not existing peacefully, that's a problem on Kaspersky's side. They need to keep up-to-date with Mozilla's roll out schedule. (Firefox 37 will be rolled out in 3 days). Contact Kaspersky for an update on their toolbar.
