WAD: display Template waite image

Hi,
I am working on Web Application designer.While executing my template it takes some time and my screen is blank untill data fetch and display.
I want to display some waiting icon or image untill my query in process and display the result instead of showing Blank screen to user.This is normal practice of WEB.
Can any one please tell me, How can we do this in Web Application Designer??

our solution is write a Javascrip to include the Web tmeplate, when report start running, show a gif picture to let user waiting. then gif disappear when data coming.

Show waiting image on button click till response comes

I want to show waiting image on button click in a jsff page till response comes from back-end.

This is working and image is also being shown but this image is not shown as transparent(where as image is transparent) and also image is having top and bottom shading which is because of dialog or popup. But i dont want this shadow. Also inline style is not working for this popup.
If there is any other way to solve this purpose please suggest.

Ok, we will use a movieclip button but is there a tutorial somewhere on how to display the image when the button is clicked?

How to display an animated image of any sort in centre of screen

Hi,
Would really appreciate some help on how to present the user with a animated image in the centre of the screen whilst a user is waiting for a operation to load/complete.
I basically have a situation where a user presses a button to load a CSV file and during this operation, want to display this animated image and then remove it on completion.

I have an enterprise search site in O365. I can brows to Masterpage > Display Templates > Search in the browser and see the .html & .js file. If I brows to the same location in SharePoint designer, the files do not display. How do I
see/edit the files in SP designer?

Dreamweaver CS4- I can't get my site to display the proper image.

I have a Dreamweaver CS4 Template with an editable area for a header image. I have already assigned a new image to all the header regions but when I moved the site to the web host the pages will only display the Default header image from the template in the editable region, even though when I check the file name in the Modify Templates window it displays the proper name, but displays the wrong image.
What is wrong? any help would be greatly appreciated.

About the top N condition in WAD web template

Hi all experts,
I'm facing a problem in my WAD web template. Hope you guys can give me a hand.
In my web template, there is analysis item A and B.
Table A are used to display top 3 customers(char) with highest purchase rate % (KF), I'm using top N condition to select top 3 customers.
And table B is to show all customers with purchase rate, sorted from highest purchase rate to lowest (logic:- sort the KF(purchase rate) in descending order)
The problem is when there is many customers with purchase rate = 100%(more than 20 customers), then for the 1st-3rd customers of table A and B, the selected and sorted customers results are not the same, shouldn't that they should be identical for the 1st three rows as they are trying to show customers with highest purchase rate? even though table A is using top 3 condition and table B is using descending sorting for purchase rate.
For example:- Top 3 customers in table A and all customers in table B

Table B
Customer    Purchase rate

In this example, table a and b have selected different customers for 1st to 3rd position, i'm trying to make them showing identically. Any suggestion?
Perhaps you guys can give me some idea on how does the top N condition determine the TOP 3 customers if there is many customers with 100% purchase rate as in this case.

When u create conditions, you have tab called CHARACTERISTIC ASSIGNEMENT.& other is GENERAL..which is like in what way you want to create conditions i.e based on which characteristic or whole characteristic in rows etc...you try choosing those option in that tab, so that you can find some ideas..

Color Context not saving for Grid(Lights) Display Template

I am trying to add a column of colored lights for a Grid in a 12.0 (12.0.2, Build 88) environment. I select Grid, Grid Type = Lights. I go to Color Context and apply Green to PASSED and Red to FAILED and White to *. I then save the Display Template and when I reopen it all the colors have been reset to the default of Black.
I have tried this with Grid Type = Column Lights. I have tried selecting the colors with RGB and with the color palette. It always sets back to Black. I also tried to change the Color of Selected Row to a light blue and it then only displayed Black in my GUI.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Any suggestions?

Email Attachment with display template

Hi All,
    I would like to send an E-mail with attachments like Table and the iChart.
I have the Sql query with selected columns and the display template.
I would like to attach the display template(iChart) and the Selected Table fields. Is it possible to do this.
my BLT Actions are 1. PDF Document
                           2.SQL Query with selected columns
                           3. PDF Table
                           4.Email
where can i insert the ichart in the above series?.

Use a Chart action block with your query and display templates to generate an encoded image. Create a PDF Document. Use the PDF Image action block to attach the chart encoded image to your PDF. Create your email with a PDF attachment. And send your email.

Displaying a tiff image in a browser.

Hi I need to display a tiff image in the browser which does not have a tiff plugin. I guess I have to convert the tiff to jpeg on the fly and write it in the output stream. Has anyone worked on this or knows any other way. Please not I dont want to create an intermediate jpeg file.

Test button not enabled in Display Template...

Hi,
I created a query template then created a display template using that query. If i want to test that output then the Test button is not getting enabled. But if i use dynamic page generator or applet its working I am able to see the graph. Also Test button working in query template, only thing its not enable in Display Template.

Another method of quickly seeing changes to a display template is to use the <i>Dynamic Page Generator</i> accessed via the main xMII Menu under Visualisation Services > Dynamic Page Generator.
Once there, pick the Query Template you are going to use from the top pair of applets, and use the bottom pair to select the Display Template you wish to "preview". Make sure that the Query Template is configured with default parameter values (i.e. that it returns good data when pressing "Test" immediately after opening it in the Query Template editor).
Then, press the <i>Generate Image</i> button to have xMII run the query, pass the results to the selected Display Template and render the result as an image. Because the image name is random, it won't be cached by your browser, and you will be able to see changes to Display Templates without clearing your browser cache/restarting your browser.

Custom Display template for Content Search webpart

Hi,
I am trying to customize the out of the box "slideshow" display template for content search webpart which renders Images.
By default, the slideshow display template has a fixed the image size which is very small. Is it possible to increase the dimensions of the container or control template to show a much larger image size?
Can anyone please help on how to do this?

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to increase the dimensions of the container or control template to show a much larger image size in the Content Search web part.
I recommend to create a custom Display Template (control and Item display templates) and use JQuery Slider plugin to achieve this goal.

I'd like to customize the people search result page. I already added some custom profile properties without any problem. But, when adding the MobilePhone field nothing is display.
I've created a new display template based on the "Item_Person.html" file.
Added the "MobilePhone" field in the ManagedPropertyMapping section

Help with SWFObject2, problem with display of alternate image

I'm trying to use SWFObject2 dynamic publishing version to test the visitors browser for flash pluggin and the version.
I want to only show my flash image if the browser finds the flash plug in and it supports the correct version of flash for my banner, otherwise I want to display a jpeg image in its place.
When flash support is available in my browser the flash image is displayed, no problems. But when Javascript or flash plugin support is not available and my alternate image jpeg is displayed something wierd happens and i would appreciate any help on this:
The image is displayed but is pushed to the right of the screen and it seems to have a box behind the image, the edge of the box is only visable and changes colour on rollove like it wants to be clicked, obviously i cannot see what the box is because the image covers it. There is nothing wrong with my image, i put that in place first and tested it loaded ok before i added the SWFObject code and file.
