How I can call a BSP page as a link from a template.
I want to implement log-off buton from BEX Web Analyzer in BW system.

How to call BSP page in one frame from a webdynpro page in another frame?

Dear experts,
I have a scenario as follows:
A BSP application which contains 5 frames. in the first frame I am calling a web Dynpro application. This is a tree and it is displayed correctly. on click of an item (node item) in the tree, a bsp page should be displayed in the second frame. I am not able to display this in the second frame. When I call the BSP page, it is getting displayed in the same frame (i.e, the first frame).
Kindly help me out.

From WDA you can't force the navigation of a different frame. Nor should you really be building an application with WDA running within a frame. You will have session management problems.
SAP recommendation is to use the NetWeaver Portal. You could then place the WDA and BSP applications into separate iViews. They can communicate with each other using Portal Eventing.

How to call BSP pages from a BSP application of another package

I have a BSP application in one package and I want to call pages from another BSP application in a different package.
Is it possible? How it would have to do it?

Hi,
You cannot call a page fragment in a seperate window or seperately in the same window...
Page fragment is used only for including a fragment in your page....
It is not a seperate page..!
To call a page fragment, you have to use the include directive...
eg :
<%@include file="Carrier_report_logo.htm" %>

How to call BSP page from Webdynpro ABAP ?

I have a BSP page which has a page attibute . I need to pass a parameter from Webdynpro ALV table to the BSP page attibute and also need to display that BSP Page . Can any one help me out , how to proceed in this ?

WAD template with BSP Application - how to read selection screen values

Hello,
I've created Web template with Web Application Designer (WAD).
I would like to extend that page with BSP Application...
Purpuse of this application is to read some information from tables
on BW transaction server and display them within Web page.
Question: How to read selection screen values from a Web template ?

Hi,
The selection screen parameters will be on an inputField, so try and get the is of the inputfield generated by doing View source...
And once you get the inputfield Id, you can read the value in the InputField(InF) by
using the following code...!
data : if_value type ref to cl_htmlb_inputfield.
data : variable type string.
if_value ?= cl_htmlb_manager=>get_data( request = request
                                            name    = 'inputField'
                                            id      = 'InF_ID_here'
       if if_value->value is not initial.
         variable = if_value->value.
       endif.

How to take data from HTML Template into BSP Variable?

hi all,
            can we take the data from the input field of HTML Template and collect into BSP variable? i have the shown the HTML Template into BSP page by passing the url in <IFRAME> tag now i have to take the data form the into field of HTML Template and save it back to the BSP table onclicking the Save button of BSP Page. please help me out thanks in advance.

This is very simple....
In the onInputProcessing event of the page use the following code to read data from the InputField into an ABAP variable...
Then you can use it at will..!
Code is :

In portal blank bsp page is displaying

Iam having an issue in BSP i.e, regarding appraisal template the bsp page is working fine at R/3 side
but, in portal for one user the data is comming and for other user the blank bsp page is comming
please can u help me in this

Hi,
Check the user Authorization in R/3 and Portal also..
In portal, Content Administration-->Portal Content -->Your folder(i.e. Role) -->Give a Every one Group Permissions with Read to that folde and check the Enduser check box.

Hi Sachin,
the easiest way is to call the BSP as a "catalog"
Just publish your BSP, then you may find under tab properties the copmplete URL for your BSP Application.
Then just define a catalog in spro
"Enterprise Buyer->Master Data->Define Catalogs"
where you define a "catalog" with the URL under catalog application call structure.
Result:
You should find an entry under your tab caltalogs with the description from your entry made in the customizing.

do you want to have a link the ITS page which calls a BSP page or do want a simple call the ITS url should redirect you to BSP page?
for your explanation i understand that calling a ITS service should automatically redirect to BSP page - in such a case you can just use url redirection by using meta tag or reidrect using javascript.

But i dont understand the reason why you would want to do this.

Hi Karen,
What you could do is create a bsp application which receives workbook id as url parameter.
From WAD create a link to this BSP page and pass the wbook id in the url.
Within the BSP you can then read the excel as binary string like below
Select * from rsrwbstore into table wb_tab where workbookid = wbid.
You can then set wb_tab-clustd as the response of the page with mime type to 'application/vnd.ms-excel'. which will open as excel

BI template calling a BSP to get a value

Hello,
I have a BI web template in Netweaver 2004s. I click on a link_item that calls a function in the script_item to open the BSP. Also in my template I have a holder for an input field:
<label for="description" >
Fiscal period:
<input id="description" value="Enter description" />
</label>
In my BSP layout I have some JavaScript to return a value back to the input field, but cannot seem to get it working.
I have something like:
var pTag1 = window.opener.document.getElementById('description');
pTag1.value = '001.2007';
Are there any ideas?

Thanks for your offer.
To try and explain it simply...in our old 3.5x templates, we had a BW web template which called a BSP page via a JavaSript function. The BSP enabled extended search of various characteristics. The BSP then passed the value selected, back to a JavaScript form in the template using the following as an example:
window.opener.form.field.value = newvalue.
This could be done for numerous variables. We also had a button which would then re-run the report with the new variable values - this was done using:
SAP_BW_URL_Get() + "CMD=PROCESS_VARIABLES&SUBCMD=VAR_SUBMIT"... etc
In the new template, I can call the BSP, I can access an input field using document.getElementById, but I can't access the window.opener (ie, the template) from the BSP.
Then I have the challenge of finding the equivalent "CMD=PROCESS_VARIABLES&SUBCMD=VAR_SUBMIT".
Any help would be appreciated.

Passing/retrieving hidden fields from Its template(IAC) to BSP page

Hi i m passing hidden fields from its template to custom BSP page...but not able to retrieve the hidden field in bsp page...is there any way we can retrieve the data....is there any equivalent of request.getattribute() method which we use in jsp to fetch the hidden fields....

from ITS template how are you calling/passing parameter to BSP
thru a form submit? or are you just openning the BSP thru a url link, in either case
you could pass the data as a form field (post) or in the url of the BSP (GET)
for example if the form field name in ITS template is myformfiled and you are submitting that to the BSP page then in the corresponding bsp page declare a page attribute withe same name (myformfiled) and mark the auto check box.
now the value passed from ITS template will be available within BSP in the ABAP variable myformfiled which you can use the way you want.

Eg: If i have using hierarchical object in my WEB template and i want know which node(level) i have selected, how i can achieve that, if i am able to do that then i can pass it to my BSP page.

Any Experts have solutions for below.
We recently moved BSP pages into ECC 6.0 .Iam getting the error in BSP page while calling the PDF.
The scenario is like this: The PDF is getting called the via URL:

you missed one question of mine <b>Do you create the PDF after creating the GUID ?</b>
